Speaker 1 (00:00):
If you're waking up.
Speaker 2 (00:00):
It's always a big deal for a millennial girl to
get rid of her skinny jeans and our very.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Own Sarah Elise, I'm how get rid of that, our
very own.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Sarah Elise has graduated from her skinny jeans and is
wearing her first pair of loose fitted jean.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
This is a.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Loose bootcut from ever and I ordered them online and
I didn't know how I was gonna go. This is
the first day of me actually wearing them. Is already
I missed the skinnies.
Speaker 5 (00:35):
This is weird.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Sarah was hanging on to that skinny jean for dear life.
Speaker 5 (00:42):
They'll probably be back tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Oh my, every I've only ever seen you in skinny jean.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
And by the way, skinny jeans are still okay to
wear in certain scenarios, but I've never seen you wear
a loose fitted jean.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
I ever feel like they're as nice looking, like I
can't dress them up like a can of skinny.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
Yes you can.
Speaker 5 (01:01):
I mean, what do we thinking?
Speaker 2 (01:02):
I put a heel with them. They look good with
a heel. They look good with a T shirt and
a blazer. So you're like already on your way be there.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Yeah, my Bengals starter. Yeah, I'm like a nineties kid
right now? What do we think?
Speaker 6 (01:14):
I love it?
Speaker 7 (01:14):
Sarah, congratulations, thank you, congratulations on your upgraded gen Z style.
I could tell that she was self conscious because I said,
wait a minute. I only saw the pockets, and I said,
those are not your typical skinny jeene.
Speaker 5 (01:28):
They're bad.
Speaker 8 (01:28):
Here.
Speaker 6 (01:30):
Yeah they look good.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
They look good on you.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
I do the shopping in the stores, though, like because
I need talls. Okay, So I do everything online and
these came out pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
I feel for any millennial woman or even above trying
to figure out what the new style is for you
when it comes to jeans, right, and it's not easy
to find.
Speaker 5 (01:51):
Jeans sucks you shop for anyway?
Speaker 4 (01:53):
Do you have any tips? So Sarah's five.
Speaker 5 (01:55):
Eight, Yeah, I'm five eight. I do a tall in everything.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
I usually pull a millennial and I get all my
stuff from Abercrombie or American Eagle. Those just the jeans
that work for me. But maybe go to the store
and try a few things on. And if you need
a taller short ordered online, get your actual sizing down
first before you go the online route.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
Are you for?
Speaker 2 (02:18):
This is your very first day there, it's raw, it's fresh,
it's new.
Speaker 5 (02:22):
I've been in these for like three hours, so.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
You're not having skinny jeans on how overall? Yes or no,
it's your first day.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
It's weird wearing something that's like so baggy, that's not
a sweatpant. And I'm used to like the jagging, something
that's like glued to my body.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
And I don't know, will you do it?
Speaker 5 (02:41):
I feel like I look like a mom.
Speaker 6 (02:44):
Glenn. You need to know she's got you.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
It's three things, Tiphy.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
Good morning. We're just before seven o'clock.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
My friend Sarah from down the hall came in and said,
oh my god, I know that you saw The Joker
last night. I'll have a full review on that at
seven ten. Let's start off with Pete Rose.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
Of course.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Actually, when I got out of the movie theater late
last night, I checked my email. It was breaking news
across our company that Pete Rose had passed away in
the at.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
The age of eighty three.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
The cause of death still hasn't been released yet, but
I was reading through some of his stats that the
Reds released seventeen seventeen. Time All Star is the all
time MLB leader in hits games played at bats singles.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
He's won three World Series.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
In seventy five and seventy six, of course with the Reds.
In the eighties with the Phillies, one National League Most
Valuable Player awards, two Golden Glove Awards, and a World
Series MVP title. I mean, the man was unstoppable. They
called him the hit machine.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
And here he is breaking the hit record two one bitch,
rum shower.
Speaker 8 (03:58):
Rose Big.
Speaker 9 (04:00):
That's Summer four thousand, one hundred and ninety too.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
I'll have more audio throughout the show, different clips of
Pete Rose and such as we celebrate here in Cincy.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
His statue outside of Great.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
American Ballpark is already being visited in droves, with flowers
being placed outside there. The Reds released a statement saying,
and this comes from Bob cast Sellini, our hearts are
deeply saddened by the news of Pete's passing. He was
one of the fiercest competitors the game's ever seen, and
every team he played for was better because of him.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
Pete and Pete was a read through and through.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
No one loved the game more than Pete, and no
one loved Pete more than Red's company, we Red's country. Rather,
we must never forget what he accomplished. Got into a
little trouble though with gambling, did get into.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
A little bit of trouble.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
He was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame in
twenty sixteen and his number was retired. But you know,
he was not ever inducted to the MLB Hall Fame,
which I would assume was a bummer.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
All right. Second, and three things you need to know
this morning.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
We've got a vice presidential debate kicking off.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
How about this nine pm?
Speaker 2 (05:12):
About second stay a week for nine pm? You know,
I'll get all the tea for you tomorrow morning on
the show. But couldn't we have done this a little
bit earlier. This will be the one and only debate
between of course, Ohio US Senator jd Vance and Minnesota
government Tim Walls, and it will last ninety minutes in
New York, all right. And then lastly, in three things
(05:32):
you need to know this morning, there's been a lot
of social drama with miss Cardi Beam.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
You know, we didn't cover a lot.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Of it on the show here, but it was extensive
and I've seen the clips come up a bunch where
her and offset have just been going off on each
other in the comments of different videos and blogs. She's
come out alive a bunch and talked about how, you know.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
He's just been playing her this comming.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
But anyway, she talked to about how she found out
she was pregnant.
Speaker 9 (06:02):
Tooke Go one morning and I in my mouth tasted
like copper. It literally tasted like copper. So I was like,
oh my gosh, damn. I automatically knew that I was pregnant,
and I did two pregnancy tests. I did a blood
test in uh America, and I did a blood test
in Colombia, and I wasn't pregnant.
Speaker 6 (06:23):
Then.
Speaker 9 (06:23):
I remember I had sex on Valentine's Day, so I
was like, hmm, I'm probably like seven weeks, six weeks pregnant.
So me, I'm talking to my obgin and now she's
doing my sonogram. She's like, oh my gosh, because she's
like she talks like a little like Staten Island white girl,
and I'm like, she's like, oh my gosh, you're not
like seven weeks pregnant or six weeks pregnant.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
I'm like what She's like, You're.
Speaker 9 (06:46):
Like, you're like seventeen weeks pregnant, and I'm like.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
What whoopsies, no wonder why that baby just came like
real quick when we saw that Instagram announcement. Okay, that
is three things you need to know for the first
of October.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
Oh my god, Halloween has officially arrived.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Here coming up at seven o five, we're commercial free,
and right around then, I'm gonna give you the full
review on the Joker Movie that I got the early
sneak preview on last night, and you might be surprised
by my pov on that one.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
So don't go far.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Also at seven twenty, Lori sharp Page is our licensed
clinical counselor. She joins the show to talk about relationships.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
At seven point thirty, you're waking.
Speaker 6 (07:27):
Up with TIF in the morning on kiss Hi, Good Morning.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
It's Tuesday, which means relationships and therapy kind of intersect
on my show. Good Morning, Lori sharp Page, Good Morning.
She's our licensed clinical counselor. We're gonna dive into the
trending nobody wants this show on Netflix coming up here
in a few minutes, but first I have to give
my full review on the Joker Movie.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
So Showcase Cinema is a sponsor of my show. They're
a family of mine, like they're they're literally like family.
They essentially I feel like saved my life when I
was going through my breakup because I just went to
Showcase Cinema like every weekend.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
I was crying every day.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
But nonetheless, she said the marketing girl, Melissa, she said, hey,
do you want to come to our premiere of the
Joker movie? And I said absolutely. It comes out on Friday.
And when I left that movie theater at ten o'clock
last night, I said, how am I supposed to give
an honest review to Cincy knowing that they're going to
hate me for this?
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Interesting? So I'm going to make three points.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
The first one is this movie is very much a musical,
and you need to know that going into it, and
I didn't really learn that until I sat down in
my chair.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
No, I'd assume there'd be some songs because of Lady.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Gaga, obviously, right, and it followed it. It's not like
a lay Miz musical where the entire thing is music,
but it will go major scene than song, major scene
than song.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
So if you did not know that, now you know.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Second point, this movie doesn't have the typical plot line
of the superhero movies that were.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
Used to seeing.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
It doesn't follow like a Batman or even the previous Joker.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
And I don't know what else to say more than that.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
And I think that that part of the movie was
or is important to me, and it led me to
kind of be like, I don't think I'd ever see
this again because of it. So it does not follow
a typical plot structure. That's kind of like the only
way I can say it without giving anything away. Third point,
(09:29):
And I bet you could expect this. The acting was amazing,
Lady Gaga, Joaquin Phoenix killed it. The visuals are great
on it. But yeah, it comes out this Friday.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
Interesting, I'm intrigued. Mmm, I'm like, sen just gonna hate
me for this. All right, we're commercial for you.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Best way to stay locked into the show's on iHeart
Radio when you starch kis one oh seven one coming
up two songs from now. Nobody wants this the biggest
show on Netflix. There's one part in there that speaks
deeply to relationships.
Speaker 4 (09:59):
We'll talk about that next time.
Speaker 6 (10:04):
It's time to make a date or break on Tip
in the morning.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Our relationship expert Lori sharpage licensed clinical counselor.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
She brings.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
She brings the heat every day Heat on Tuesdays. This
is the second time within this hour we're going to
talk about a television show or a movie, and I'm
gonna have to explain it without giving away any spoilers.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
Tricky, Tricky.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Nobody wants this on Netflix. Is the number one show
right now, and for good reason. It's so good. Everyone's
in love with Adam Brody. And welcome, by the way,
to anyone on that just joined us from our Instagram
Live at Kiss one oh seven's another way to get
involved in our conversation and stuff.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
Okay, you have not seen the show. I have not
seen it. It's on my list, but not seeing it.
Speaker 6 (10:49):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
If you're like I don't want to know a single thing,
then I would understand if you needed to change the
radio station for like thirty seconds. But I think you're
gonna like this conversation because it essentially Adam Brody asks
Kristin Bell to do a pretty serious thing in their
relationship very early on into dating. That's the premise of
the conversation we're gonna have. Okay, let me give some backstory. Okay,
(11:12):
Kristen Bell is a podcast host with their sister. It's
a sex and relationship podcast, and Adam Brody works his
career is he's a rabbi. I'm just going to tell
you that right now. And they fall for each other
prettyickly quickly, and it's one of those relationships. By the way,
everyone is obsessed with his character on the show.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
I mean, it's really it's so sweet. He's such a
good character.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
But he asks her, I don't want to give this away,
but I think it's valuable knowledge.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
He asks her, I'm trying to think of a way
to do this.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Within two months of dating, he realizes to grow in
his career, she's going to have to do a specific
fick thing for them to really continue. And it's a
pretty serious ask. M okay, and I think I'm just
gonna leave it at that and hopefully hopefully you can
tiptoe around that.
Speaker 10 (12:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Essentially, he asks her to like, hey, I know we've
only been dating for two or so months, but for
us to be in love like the way I want
us to be, you're gonna have to do this.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
And that's just like the way my job goes.
Speaker 11 (12:24):
So she's gonna have to change something about how she
identifies how she lives in order to continue to progress
with him.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
Yes, gotch, can you can you do something with that?
Can you make sure?
Speaker 5 (12:36):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (12:37):
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Speaker 11 (12:39):
So first of all, you know, sometimes people fall in
love slowly. A lot of times from what I've seen,
it happens fast.
Speaker 5 (12:45):
And that's okay.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
It happens fast, there's nothing wrong with it.
Speaker 11 (12:47):
I think it trips people up a lot, myself included
when it happens, because it's like, oh whoa, Okay, this
is here.
Speaker 4 (12:52):
I've waited a long time and it's here.
Speaker 11 (12:54):
But the thing is is like the love is just
one piece of the complex puzzle. And sometimes because of
certain situations, job type, culture, even periods of time, there
are certain things that you need to do that maybe
are not what you expected that you would do. And
I think the key part here is having the conversations
(13:16):
about it. And I don't think it's a bad thing
to bring into the arena early on if this is
truly a love situation where you're planning your life together.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
He did say in the show, he said, listen, I
know this is really early for us. And by the way,
if you're just walking into this conversation we're talking about
nobody wants this the Netflix show. He says to Kristen,
you know, listen, this is like really early for us
to be having this conversation, but like I kind of
need to know if we're going to progress, I need
you to do this. And I feel really bad asking
(13:48):
you this, especially very early.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
I just feel bad in general asking you to do this.
Speaker 11 (13:53):
I will say, if it's coming up that early and
it's that important, then I think you can expect that
this is going to be something in your relationship and
your life moving forward with this person. And that again
is important information to have at the beginning because it
may not align for you. You can love someone very deeply
and find that connection and that spark, but if there's
certain things that need to happen to continue to stay
(14:15):
in a relationship with that person and they aren't the
right choice for you, that's a tough spot.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
But you really got to evaluate that.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
I feel like a lot of girls are listening right
now want because we're both obsessed with the character in
the know.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
But two, how would you tell.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Someone to approach a conversation. Let's say someone in their
car listening right now, is like, Yeah, I'm pretty dead
set on I don't know, kids or marriage or moving
to London. Yeah, how do you approach that conversation with
someone very early into the dating landscape.
Speaker 11 (14:44):
So in person and without distractions would be my advice
on that. Because these are complex conversations, you can expect
emotions to come up, and we want to be able
to stay focused. Now, oftentimes these big conversations, they can
be pretty uncomfortable and people feel that discomfort and they
think that they're doing something wrong.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Discomfort's not a bad thing. It means you're talking about
something challenging. Okay, here's what we're gonna do.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Lori Sharp Page hangs out in the studio on Tuesdays
for you, and I know it might feel uncomfortable coming
to a radio show with what's going on, but hopefully
you're a part of our inner circle enough to know
that that's not really what that's about. You know, we
love having you five one three, seven four nine one
oh seven one. If you have a specific question for
Lori Sharp Page, you can also talk back with Tiff.
If you want to remain anonymous, just search Kiss on
(15:30):
the iHeartRadio app. You'll see the microphone right next to
the play button, and LORII, I don't know if you
can give us insight on what happens when you're in
love with a television character.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
Ooh, good one, Hi, good morning.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
You're waking up with TIF in the morning on Kiss
one oh seven one. Tuesdays is our day of relationships,
and I have an expert that comes in every Tuesday.
Lori sharp Page is our licensed clinical Counselor you can
ask your questions, you can share your specific situation, whether
you want to do that with our talk back feature,
or you can DM us, or you can call us,
or you can come here. You can do whatever you want.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
We're here for you.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
We're in the midst of talking about nobody wants this
the biggest show on Netflix right now, and I think
it's given almost hope and resurgence into the dating community,
and I hope that we're feeling that here in Cincinnati too, because.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
There is this one.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Scene in particular, and I'm trying to my brains processing
how to talk about this without giving any spoiler alerts away.
But essentially, the whole theme of the show is Kristen
Bell is authentically herself the entire time, and do you
find that women tend to change themselves in dating more
so than men or No, what's your expertise on that one.
Speaker 11 (16:48):
I say it's more person to person. But if you
are more perfectionistic, you are more likely to change yourself
based off of who you're.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
Setting in front of.
Speaker 4 (16:56):
Is that natural?
Speaker 11 (16:57):
I think so. I mean, I think you're some people
are more aware of how they present and are trying
to control for that.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
Yeah, we can all agree that when you meet someone,
whether it's romantically or not, you're gonna put your best
foot forward typically.
Speaker 4 (17:12):
Yeah, that's for your leading.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Yeah, like you're going you're going to give them the
best of you. That's what happens in this show.
Speaker 12 (17:19):
Though.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
Kristen Bell is so authentically just who she is that
I think it was really refreshing for the dating community
to see. Now on the other side, Adam Brody was
so accepting of her character that I felt like it
kind of gave hope into dating for sure.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
I mean unconditional acceptance.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Does that exist though in real life dating or are
we just looking at a television show and hooping?
Speaker 8 (17:43):
No?
Speaker 4 (17:43):
Absolutely so.
Speaker 11 (17:44):
We call this unconditional positive regard, which means that whatever
you do, even if I don't agree with it, or
it makes me mad or whatever, then maybe whatever you do,
I still see the value in you, and I believe
that we all should have that lens for each other
and for ourselves.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
We all have value.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
It almost feels like a fairy tale or a dream though,
or just like, yeah, you're fantasizing about being able to
connect with somebody in that way in the dating landscape,
especially since so much of it is done through apps
and such. Does it exist? How do you find it?
Speaker 11 (18:20):
It does exist. Patience and perseverance is how you find it.
And you know you have it because all of a
sudden the games stop.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Oh shoot, yeah, the game stop. The game stop. Yeah,
that's up. They stop, and they stop right here.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
I'm assuming that to be able to achieve that, though,
you have to be so authentically yourself though, and that's hardly.
Speaker 11 (18:45):
Yeah, I mean that's not and not everybody is going
to be comfortable with you being authentically yourself like that.
You know it's not going to be for everybody, But
it's so much better to lead like that and find
the person who loves it than to cover it up
and then reveal a few months under the relationship it's
much better to be you. And now, obviously you know,
judgment is something that goes on in the dating process.
(19:08):
It's not anything that we need to make the villain here.
But the more you can love yourself and be yourself,
the more likely or are to find somebody who's going
to feel.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
The same Laurie shartpage. She's at the Coping Queen. Her
birthday's tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Happy birthday from the show and our TIF in the
morning community. Yeah, you know, how to reach out to
her directly. Therapy is expensive, hard to find sometimes and
so hopefully get a little taste of what Laurie's like.
You're more than welcome to hit her up and make
a date or break happens every Tuesday on this show.
So I guess I would ask if you found somebody,
(19:43):
would you make your next date or would you break
it off with them if they didn't give you the
Adam Brodie treatment.
Speaker 11 (19:50):
You know, I think that if you find somebody and
you got some good feelings and you're feeling good about yourself,
always make that an ext date.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
See what happens.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
All right, Thanks lur coming up commercial for you guys,
time to hang out. We're going to dive into the
three things you need to know to get your day started.
Speaker 4 (20:03):
Then Sincy, good morning, Glynn.
Speaker 6 (20:08):
You need to know she's got you.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
It's three things with tit on.
Speaker 13 (20:14):
That's my hometown, Cincinnati. Obviously that's my favorite team, the
sin Snati Reds.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
You want to participate in the game.
Speaker 13 (20:21):
Sure, it drives me crazy, Like when I put the
Reds on and there's twenty thousand empty seats. I wanted
to be like the Cubs, or like the Yankees, or
like Boston. The seats are for asses, and you got
to have an ass in every seat every night.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
Larry was Pee Rose. Good morning guys.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
We're just before eight o'clock here, and obviously you've heard
by now, if not, welcome to the party. That legendary
MLB star and of course Cincinnati read forever. Pete Rose
passed away at the age of eighty three. I still
don't have a cause of death. At that death.
Speaker 4 (20:57):
At this time in the morning, I was filtering through
some of the here.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
A seventeen time All Star, he is the MLB leader
in hits, games played at bats singles. He won three
World Series in seventy five and seventy six for the
Reds and in nineteen eighty with the Phillies, one National
League MVP Player Award, two Golden Glove Awards, and a
(21:22):
World Series MVP. Pete Rose is a legend in baseball
and of course being mourned and remembered here in Cinciana.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
Pete Gunn's a little bit of gambling TROUPA. This a
little bit trouble.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
So he was banned from being inducted into the MLB
Hall of Fame. However, he was inducted into the Reds
Hall of Fame almost ten years ago in twenty sixteen fourteen,
was retired that same year. His statue was dedicated in
twenty seventeen outside of GABP and I looked on social
this morning and it's already covered with roses and memorabilia
(21:59):
and merged. You know, I think our sister station, home
of the Red seven hundred wlw's really feeling it this
morning as well.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
And you know, just a legend.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
The Reds did release a statement saying, and this is
from Bob Castellini. By the way, our hearts are deeply
saddened by the news of Pete's passing. He was one
of the fiercest competitors the game's ever seen, and every
team he played for was better because of him.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
Pete and Reds are through and through.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
No one loved the game more than Pete, and no
one loved Pete more than Red's country. We must never
forget what he accomplished. You'll notice that the Reds have
changed their social media icon to his number, etc. And
so you know, I'll be remembering him. I'm sure there'll
be some sort of ceremony as well. Isn't it crazy
how the timing worked out on that where he passed
away one day after the Reds wrapped up their entire season.
(22:52):
I thought that was universal, you know, all right, So
we'll leave it at that second. And three things you
need to know this morning. I had talked at length
yesterday with Sarah about the fact that Taylor wasn't at
at Travis's last two games.
Speaker 4 (23:06):
Okay, the internet's not well, and.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
We'd have already talked about the fact that they were
supposed to, like rumoredly supposed to break up at the
end of September.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
Guys, we're at August one, We've.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
Made it to Spooky season, and they're still together. According
to sources that are close to them. But there's this
old video clip reservicing of Travis talking about if he
expects Wags to be at every game. This video, I
think came from a couple of years ago, in eighteen.
Speaker 11 (23:31):
If you're dating a professional athlete, I do not believe,
at least for me, that you have to go to
all the games.
Speaker 4 (23:37):
I mean all that.
Speaker 9 (23:37):
There's eight home games, eight away games, plus playoffs.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
I don't even expect my parents and my friends to
make every single game.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Taylor said, no, you know, but Bengals fans did drive
through Hurricane Helen to get to the Carolinas this past weekend,
So maybe we should really be talking about your dedication
over hers, all right. And then lastly, in three things
you need to Know, I always try my best to
treat Britney Spears very delicately.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
It's a delicate situation.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
However, there was another weird social video posted where she
was talking in I think she's going for a British
accent here about how she nearly caught herself in her
house on fire.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
At least six.
Speaker 10 (24:17):
Months ago, something happened that was really really dangerous. I
was in my room and I turned the fire on,
and all of a sudden, it blew up in my face.
It's done it before, and the times I did it before,
I always i quit. So it always gets my security
to come in and light it for me. Because I
(24:41):
was scared it was gonna blow up. I just threw
the whole thing in there and it literally blew into
my face and it took all my eyelashes off, my eyebrows.
And see this baby hair, these baby bangs. This is
from basically six months ago.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
Brittany girl, Let's leave the I wouldn't touch I don't
even if I had a grill at my house, I
wouldn't light that thing. Let's leave the pyrotechnics in the knives.
Speaker 4 (25:10):
To someone else, to someone else.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
I really feel like she needs fresh air. I think
she needs to put her feet in the grass and
have a little picnic and a glass of water. I
feel like that would help her. That is three things
you need to know for October one. If you'd missed
my Joker review, I had a chance to see the
movie before it came out on Friday.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
We talked about that earlier in the show.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
But one thing happened to me at the movie theater
last night that had I could be alone in this.
I felt a type of way about it. But we're
gonnahit chat movie theater and concert going etiquette around eight twenty.
If you have a story, jump in ahead of time
search kiss on iHeartRadio, which I always kind of recommend. Anyways,
that's the best way to listen to my show. You'll
(25:52):
see the microphone next to the play button. Just talk
back with Tiff and let me know if something bizarre
has ever happened to you at a concert, in a
movie theater, any of above.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
We'll get to that next.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
You're waking up fifth in the morning.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
Kiss Hey, good morning. So I realized I was in
the wrong.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
I'm just gonna go ahead and be upfront about me
being in the wrong. But I still can't help but
feel a hair bit petty about this. Earlier in the show,
if you missed it, I gave the full review on
the New Joker movie. I had a chance to go
out to Showcase last night and get their early access
to it, and so you'll have to go back to
(26:27):
the podcast and catch up if you're really looking forward
to it, and you want my honest opinion. When you
go into the Showcase Imax Theater, there are I think
at minimum there's one thousand seats. It could be up
to at least two thousand seats. The theater is massive.
It's a Monday night, it's seven o'clock. I'm setting the scene.
By the way, I forgot to tell you guys this.
(26:49):
We're gonna talk about things at concerts or movies that
you've witnessed, that you've experienced.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
We're gonna talk about etiquette.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
And again, I know I'm in the wrong, but I'm
being a little petty on the air this morning. If
you're you know, willing and able to indulge me on this.
So when we got to the theater, there was no
one there. There was maybe three people in a theater
of two thousand seats. So my friend Tom and I
went and just picked two random seats that we liked
(27:22):
in the theater with three people in it, few more
people start to show up, and this girl I noticed
is coming up the aisle and she's got a ticket
in her hand, and she's checking and she's checking the ticket,
and she's checking the seats, and she's checking the ticket,
and she's checking the seats. She's checking the ticket until
she walks pretty much directly up to my neighbor and
I and says, you're in my seat.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
It actually wasn't a verbal exchange.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
We just kind of looked at each other and I said, oh, am,
I in your seat, and she said, yeah, is she
in the right? Of course, guys, of course she picked
a certain seat, she paid the money, she wants to
sit in the seat.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
I get that. I respect and understand that.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
Me on the other hand, maybe it's because I just
I avoid conflict, or it's not even necessarily avoiding conflict.
It's more like I just look around, like there's so
many other seats in the theater. Just have a seat
somewhere anywhere. It doesn't really matter. And I feel like
this happens. Speaking, we talked a lot about the Red
City with Pete Rose. I feel like this happens at
(28:19):
Great American Ballpark when there's only ten thousand, you know,
people in a stadium of thirty forty fifty thousand seats,
You just pick a seat and you sit down. There
are certain situations, though, like at concerts where it's packed.
I went to Sabrina Carpenter the other night in Columbus.
You have to sit in your assigned seat because it
(28:40):
is packed. When you go see Joker on Friday, when
it comes out and you bought your seat ahead of time,
you have to sit in the seat because it's packed, right,
But in a.
Speaker 14 (28:49):
Theater that's completely open, completely there are three people in there,
would you have said something to someone or would you
have just chosen a different seat to sit in?
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Five one three seven four nine one o seven one.
Let's talk about concert and movie theater etiquette. If you've
seen something before, maybe you've been in a movie theater
or someone's talked the entire time.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
Really, what anything goes in this situation? Again, I know
I was in the wrong, but you better believe that
my neighbor and I whispered about that girl for a
long time. Hi, good morning.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Our super Bowl halftime performer Kendrick Lamar on sif in
the morning, you're waking up a kiss one oh seven
one commercial free.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
In fact, he had.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
A move like a trail commercial rather at the premiere
for the Joker last night. I'm just remembering that you'll
get a taste of it if you go see Joker
this weekend. Let me I'll sher you into this conversation
a little bit here. If you're just joining us. I
had mentioned that I went to the movie last night
ahead of time, and when I sat down in my seat,
out of two thousand seats, there were maybe five people
(29:52):
in the theater, and my friend and I just picked
two random seats and sat down, and some girl who
had chosen the seats that we were sitting in came
up to us and said, hey, you're in our seats.
Of course we moved, and of course she had every
right to sit there, but I was like, I felt
a little petty about it, and I know I'm in
the wrong, but I don't like they just sit down somewhere.
(30:13):
Good morning, you're on the air. We're talking about movie
theater or even concert going etiquette.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
Good morning tip.
Speaker 8 (30:20):
I got one question, did you when you moved, did
you like get up and like move like a couple
roads back or did you just like move a couple
of seats over when she asked you to move.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
We moved into an entire different row because I didn't
want any of that uncomfortable energy around me while I
was watching the movie for three hours.
Speaker 8 (30:41):
That's fair. I think I'm a little petty, and I
definitely would have just moved over like two seats and
just sat right back.
Speaker 5 (30:47):
Down, sane.
Speaker 4 (30:49):
This is why I love you.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
Oh my god, I felt okay, but do you see
where I'm coming from.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
I know I sound.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
Cuckoo because obviously she chose the seat that she chose
and I was in it. But in a completely open
theater where there's two thousand seats and five people in
the theater, just sit somewhere else, yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
Like, come on, like you pick a better seat, like you?
Where does your oyster?
Speaker 8 (31:11):
Let's upgrade yourself?
Speaker 1 (31:13):
Why not?
Speaker 8 (31:14):
Zay?
Speaker 2 (31:14):
And I also have to tell you I watched so
I went last night for the Joker premiere, and I
did not like the movie.
Speaker 8 (31:24):
Ooh, okay, did you like the first one?
Speaker 2 (31:27):
I don't really remember it, to be honest, I think
I actually don't even know if I remember seeing it
in full, so you you know, don't hold it against
me for giving an opinion on the second without seeing
the first. But I did not like this movie, and
I was really shocked by that.
Speaker 8 (31:46):
Yeah that is eventually, I mean, it's got Lady.
Speaker 4 (31:48):
Gaga in this one, right, yeah, Lady Gagan.
Speaker 8 (31:51):
Okay, okay, interesting, okay, Well, zee Boby watched the first
one and you like it? A little more makes it
a little better, but I don't know.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
Well, Zane, thanks for calling me. How's west Chester this morning.
Speaker 8 (32:06):
It's a good little little gray outside. But welcome to Sancy.
Speaker 4 (32:11):
Okay, Well, Happy Halloween month.
Speaker 8 (32:13):
Happy Halloween.
Speaker 5 (32:14):
I'm very excited.
Speaker 6 (32:15):
Woo.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
My neighbor has all the blow up all the blow
up Halloween characters out on their you know, little front
patio there. Commercial free for a little bit longer. Coming
up in two songs. I have the three things you
need to know to get your day started in Sincy.
Speaker 4 (32:32):
So don't go far, Glynn.
Speaker 6 (32:34):
You need to know she's got you.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
It's three things with tif on.
Speaker 4 (32:47):
Hi, good morning.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
So by now we've talked at length about the passing
of Pete Rose, legendary Cincinnati Reds player, retired with the
Reds Hall of Fame. I kind of like just hearing
old audio from him, so I'll play clip.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
There's two things I learned that I could do.
Speaker 13 (33:02):
I could hit a baseball, and I think I can
learn or teach a lot of people.
Speaker 11 (33:10):
Not to make the same.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
Mistakes that I made. That was back in twenty fifteen.
You know, before I get to the stats, he got
into a little bit of a run in with the
you know, with gambling. The gambling got the best of
him betting on the Reds. He was banned from the
MLB as far as and being inducted into the MLB
Hall of Fame.
Speaker 4 (33:30):
Such a shame.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
He was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame back
in twenty sixteen. And that statue out front of GABP
is Pete Rose, and that was dedicated to him.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
In twenty seventeen.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
His jersey is retired and as of this morning, some
of the videos I've seen that the statues already getting
lots of flowers and pictures and memorabilia, et cetera. Just
in case you haven't heard it yet, Pete Rose was
a seventeen time All Star. He's the all time MLB
leader in hits, games played at bats singles. He's won
(34:03):
three World Series in seventy five and seventy six with
our Reds.
Speaker 4 (34:06):
And in nineteen eighty with the Phillies.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
He's got one National League MVP Player Award, two Golden
Glove Awards, NL Rookie of the Year, and the MVP
of the World Series that he played in.
Speaker 4 (34:21):
Just accolades, on accolades.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
Bob Castellini of The Red said quote, our hearts are
deeply saddened by the news of Pete's passing. He was
one of the fiercest competitors the game's ever seen, and
every team he played was better for it and better
because of him. Pete was a read through and through.
No one loved the game more than Pete, and no
one loved Pete more.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
Than Red's country.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
We must never forget what he accomplished going to a
little bit of a run in with the law.
Speaker 4 (34:49):
That's it, all right? Second and three things.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Oh, I'd already mentioned this to the show, But just
because I have your ear, isn't it wild that he
passed the day after the Reds wrapped up their entire series?
Speaker 4 (35:02):
Are there the season?
Speaker 8 (35:03):
Rather?
Speaker 2 (35:04):
It's just like the end of one thing and the
end of another. All right, Let's talk about Ariana Grande.
So she's out promoting the new Wicked movie which comes
in November, and Cynthia Arrivo and her did a light
of tector test for Vanity Fear. I always find these
very interesting. If you're going to promote a movie or
something that you would take a lighter tector test. But
(35:26):
Cynthia asked her if she's ever had work done?
Speaker 5 (35:28):
Did you ever get any work done?
Speaker 4 (35:30):
So make yourself feel more popular to.
Speaker 9 (35:33):
My face to physical eppear, I'm going to ask all
the questions.
Speaker 6 (35:36):
Oh, thank goodness, did you get your nose done?
Speaker 8 (35:40):
No?
Speaker 6 (35:41):
Did you get a boob job? No?
Speaker 4 (35:44):
Did you get a face you imagine?
Speaker 12 (35:45):
No?
Speaker 6 (35:46):
Not yet. I'm open, truthful. Wait and go back to
the other one knows this, she's telling the truth.
Speaker 4 (35:53):
There we go.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
I haven't actually never saw news or consume news that
said that are had gotten work done. So I bet
that was circulating the internet at one point and I
just missed it. The other thing that she addressed was
her relationship with Ethan Slater. Enough, if you remember when
her Indulton Gomes split up, she was getting together with Ethan.
(36:16):
He was also divorcing his wife at the same time,
So both Ari and Ethan divorced their significant others and
got together with one another. So the rumors were going crazy.
You know that she's a home wrecker, And she went
on to say that was the most disappointing part was
to see so many people believe the worst version of
our relationship, and there couldn't be a less accurate depiction
(36:38):
of a human being than the one that the tabloids
spread about him. She said it affected her mental health, etc.
And I'm just kind of like, well, the timing on
that timing and optics are everything all right. And then lastly,
Jelly Roll broke his CMA award.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
I didn't know this. I was just so excited.
Speaker 12 (36:56):
It's so nervous that I had the sweatiest, shakiest palms,
and that thing is I'm already not a physically fit man,
and that thing's heavy, that things really heavy. I was
so excited and I was going to change it from
one hand to another to shake somebody's hand, and it
just boomed and I was like thispsies.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Jelly Roll is going to be in Sincy on Friday.
That is three things you need to know for the
first of October. Coming up next, your chance at a
Grand at nine oh five, and a trip to our
iHeartRadio jingle Ball
