Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Kiss well, good morning, good morning.
Speaker 3 (00:05):
The way in which I used my heater today, Wow, okay,
like woo. But you know how how you know how
Mother Nature likes to tease us here in Cincinnati. She
will right, it'll be it'll be cool this week, although
I have never seen a more perfect ten day forecast,
(00:25):
seventies with sunshine. But there'll be like a couple of weeks,
you know, late September, early October, where it's still ninety
degrees outside. But there was something crispy about this morning.
Did you have a good weekend? I explored a new neighborhood,
which I'll get up on social if you and I
aren't connected yet. I'm at the Tiff to F's Potter
(00:47):
like the Wizard, a new Dora district.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
You know, you know me, my middle name should be Dora.
It should be tiff Dora Potter.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
But yeah, I had I explored a new neighborhood, did
a little bit of shopping. I'm sure maybe there's a
chance that you explored the Bengals game or creed. All
of that will kind of debrief later on in the show.
But while I have you, I hope you're off to
a good start. This is probably the first full ish
week back into your regular routine, although.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
We've got the three day weekend ahead of us.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
So if you're just kind of settling it and you
forget what the what the routine is here every day
at six point fifty I do the three things you
need to know to get your date started in sin seas,
So make sure you kind of lock in on iHeartRadio
so you don't miss it. Search kiss one oh seven one,
good morning, and I hope your seat heater is on
as well.
Speaker 5 (01:35):
When you need to know she's got you.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
It's three things.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Well good in morning.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
I've never seen a better ten day forecast, but right now,
mother Nature are giving us a little sprinkle of what
it feels like to be late September. Fifty seven degrees,
highs in the mid seventies with sunshine, and the weekend
looks good as well for our final weekend of summer. Unofficially,
I guess, and our western and southern web and fireworks
this coming Sunday, temperatures will be in the seventies. But
you know, I'm superstitious, so we might not check it
(02:05):
again until then. We're just before seven o'clock on the
twenty fifth of August. Happy Monday, and welcome back to school,
you see, and Miami students.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
All right, let's actually start off with school.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
There was a brawl at a high school football game
this past weekend, taff versus Jefferson High School, which by
the way, is based out a Louisville. I'm like, are
these guys even rivals? And you know, I've seen Friday
Night Lights. I myself, I'm a big fan of Tim Riggans,
but that's television.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
Do we need to be fighting at high school games?
Speaker 3 (02:33):
No? It looked like it started on the field with
players from what I'm hearing, and then kind of bled
into the stands. This on the heels of you know,
a couple of different fights that happened at CPS schools
in the past year.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
They've tried to make games earlier.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
They've tried to add increased police presence. You know, you
need to have a parent to enter the game. Sometimes
it is the parents that are arguing when.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
There's more in that one. I'll have it for you.
I haven't come.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Across any video on my timeline of it, but if
I do have it, and there is an update on it.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
I like I said, we'll share.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
That with you. Second, and three things you need to know.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
The Bengals ended up taking the L in their preseason game,
but no one's getting spooked here, I guess. In Cincinnati,
we took the L to the Colts forty one to fourteen.
No starters played, but Desmond Ritter, a former UC product,
started with the Bengals one and two and completed eight
out of twenty passes for seventy five yards with an
(03:29):
interception and a rushing touchdown. We're back at it. How
was the Saturday game though? At one o'clock that must
have felt nine. We're back at it next week. I
cannot believe we're about I'm sorry, two weeks. We're not
that far off from regular season Bengals, and it certainly
feels like it out there weatherwise. And then, lastly, in
three things you need to Know this morning, and congratulations
(03:49):
to Millie Bobby Brown. Her and her husband Jake bon
Jovi announced that they welcomed a baby girl through adoption
this summer. If you're a big fan of Stranger Things,
season five will release volume one with four episodes November
twenty six, and then the rest of the episodes will
come spread between Christmas Day and New Year's and that'll
(04:12):
be the final installment of Stranger Things. All right, that
is three things, speaking of things you need to know
for the twenty fifth of August, Good morning.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning, Kis.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Welcome back to a Monday. I'm living a double life.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
It feels like sometimes you're walking into chit chat roulette
every Monday. Writer on this time, Sarah saunters in from
our sister station w EBN, and we kind of just
run through all the big topics and Cincy and beyond
from the weekend. Just in case you're like me and
you don't scroll your phone, Sarah kind of make sure
we're in the loop on all the biggest things. Do
you feel like let me put five minutes on the
(04:47):
clock away goes. Do you feel like you're living a
double a life where Monday through Thursday right now we're
kind of like school focused, fall focus, routine based, and
then Friday through Sunday, I'm still in summer. I went
from a bikini to a flannel today.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Oh girl, I'm full on flannel. Agrees.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
Yeah, my whole Tell everyone, Tell everyone what you did yesterday.
Speaker 6 (05:09):
I'm decorated for Halloween. We are done, like period, Like
it's done. I give my house two full months for
every holiday at least, so as soon as November first hits,
it's time for Christmas.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
I'm not kidding. We don't have to waste a lot
of time on this.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
But I will tell you the girl's voice you hear
on the radio speaking across from me, she has to
like dust her Christmas decorations. That's how long they're up.
Those things are from November to end of January, aren't they.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Yeah, it goes past my birthday, like when you have
to dust in the tree.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
It's up for too long.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
I love it. I would keep it up longer if
I could.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
And then it kind of gets to a point, you know,
it's like, all right, let's get this thing down.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (05:50):
Though, we had some big stuff that happened here locally.
Two teenagers broke into pay Course Stadium, where our Cincinnati
and had just played a game earlier that day. So
they were caught overnight Saturday into Sunday, an eighteen year
old and a nineteen year old dude. Uh guess what
(06:11):
they tried to steal out of the stadium. I can
only imagine, like, Okay, first of all, if you were
to break into the stadium, what did you steal?
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Okay, I would pour myself a draft beer. Oh and
I would maybe try and steal like merch.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (06:24):
Okay, that's what my thought was, like, Okay, March short day,
I'm going for the beer, like I would get into
the locker room immediately. Okay, give me everyone's jerseys.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Now, these two dudes tried.
Speaker 6 (06:36):
To steal a barbecue smoker, like you what trap it
to their back?
Speaker 2 (06:43):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (06:44):
They hopped the fence and they were very unsuccessful. But
imagine being like the security guy sitting there and watching
these two dudes run around with a smoker, and.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Those things have got to be heavy, right, what are
you doing?
Speaker 6 (06:59):
You nager knows how to handle a smoker anyway.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (07:04):
Our Bengals, unfortunately they couldn't get the wind done over
the weekend, lost forty one to fourteen to the Colts.
But preseason's done. It starts counting here in less than
two weeks.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
How is the vine? It was good none of our
starters had played.
Speaker 6 (07:19):
I think it would have been a little different if
We saw a couple drives from Joe Burrow, but we
got to see des Ritter or you Seed Bearcat. That's cool.
I love that he plays for us. Yeah, so he
played the entire time. We didn't see anything from Joe
or Jake Browning. Look keep an eye out for this
guy named p J.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Joules.
Speaker 6 (07:38):
He's on Defense and he had this really cool story
that aired at Channel five and I just kind of
fell in love with the kid. We'll know about if
he makes the fifty three man roster by four pm
on Tuesday afternoon.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Okay, moving on.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Creed was last night and you and I were not there.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
My husband was there, Okay, arms wide open or.
Speaker 6 (07:56):
What I guess. So I woke up to forty five snaps.
He was very excited to do, though I would have
loved to have been.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
He and his buddies all wore the Creed T shirts.
Oh no man matching shirt. Wow big. But they had
a hell of a time.
Speaker 6 (08:10):
And he was texting me and he goes, I think
it's a sold out crowd here for show.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
Stevie Nicks was supposed to be here on Saturday night.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
She had postponed, So I just got that notification from
Ticketmaster because I bought tickets for that one, so that'll
get delayed. Outside of them in the pop world, it
feels very quiet ever since the Tailor released. But we
do have new music coming from Sabrina Carpenter this coming Friday.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Oh that's big. And I don't know if it's going
to be a tiff in the Morning song of fall.
I don't know. I need to let it go. I
really just need to let it go.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
I think jets You Holiday is all we're going to get.
Speaker 6 (08:44):
Yeah, and we just found out that, you know, Sabrina
Carpenter is going to be on the new Taylor Swift
album on track twelve, So she is doing a lot
of big things. I love to see that. What else
are sin Sinnati Reds. They're never going to be swept
this season. They're the only team in the league that
have not been swept. They're going to be on the
West Coast continuing to do that. Then they'll be back
(09:05):
at Great American Ballpark this weekend. Big Weekend two for
the Western and Southern WB.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
My god, we very the lead.
Speaker 6 (09:13):
It's boomsday on Sunday because we will not be here
next Monday because that will be labor day, right, that
will be sleeping instead of laboring.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
I'm excited for the fireworks.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
I'm wicked excited for them.
Speaker 6 (09:25):
I was kidding speaking of Wicked Boomsday the musical, the theme,
we might.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Hear a little wicked, just a little hint.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
This soundtrack is always iconic I do outside of the
show itself.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
The soundtrack is its own thing.
Speaker 6 (09:37):
So I've not heard the soundtrack, but according to our boss,
he said it's the best one he has ever heard.
And he said this show is going to be bigger
and better than ever. And don't forget about the drone
show beforehand, all.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Right, Sarah Elise my Galley. We should chat every day
on this show usually, but on Mondays we cover all
the things that you might have missed in Cincinnati and beyond.
Come up in three don't give you two songs, give
me two songs. Coming up in two songs. What is
the most popular birth date on the birth charts and
it's coming up We haven't hit it yet, It's coming
up this month the number one most popular birthday. If
(10:14):
you have any guesses, talk back with Tiff on iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
We'll see where we stack up next.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
We'll get them.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
I mean, what is the most popular birth date in
the world. It's coming up next month, you know who.
This chart reminded me of Taylor Swift. I wonder if
she's an expert on this, since she is a numerologist.
The number one birthday, and in fact, September holds like
a few spots within the top five. A lot of
September babies coming in at number one.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
Is the most popular birthdate in the world.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
September seventeenth, a couple of weeks from now. Actually, my
one of my best friends is September seventeenth, so that
makes sense. The second most popular birthday is in April
and April eighth, then followed by September twenty third. October
fourth is the fourth most popular. September twenty fourth is
the fifth most February second, I'm sorry, I lie. February
(11:10):
twelfth and April twenty ninth. Those are like the top
seven most popular birthday. It's a lot of April and
then a lot of September. I'm not even gonna be
able to execute the math on when conception happened.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
If it was based around a certain thing.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
Yeah, I'm not gonna I don't have an emittative math
on that one. My birthday is January twenty second, and honestly,
what a weird flex. But I am the thirty fifth
most popular birthday and I'm thirty five years old, and
I feel like, I mean, falling within the top thirty
five out of all the birthdays.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
I said, weird flex. If you want to, if you're
curious about yours, we'll have it.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
We have a few minutes to kill. Go ahead and
talk back with Tiff on the iHeartRadio app. The microphone
is in the top right hint, corner. Just hold that down.
You've got thirty seconds and I'll try to rattle off
a few coming up in a few And we're not
far off from the three things you need to know,
so don't go far.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Hi, good morning, you're that was the first of all.
That was a good song.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
You're waking up with Tip in the morning on Kiss
one oh seven one.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
You're on the air, so I.
Speaker 7 (12:08):
Can tell you for the April eighth, Yeah, birthdays. I
conceived in around fourth of July, so and I'm due
April seventh, so I think fourth of July around that time.
That's probably a really pop and time.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
That makes sense. You know what it is.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
It's a little bit of fireworks, a little a little
bit of a cookout energy.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
It really gets things going.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
Yes, I wonder if we did the math. Is if
the September birthday is super popular? Is that maybe around
Valentine's Day or New Year's Eve? It's gotta can't do
the math.
Speaker 7 (12:40):
Well, I was wondering the same. I honestly, I don't know, but.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
I think it is.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
I think it is that that New Year's Eve time frame.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
What was your name?
Speaker 4 (12:48):
By the way, what neighbor are you waking up with me?
Speaker 7 (12:50):
And my name's Katie and I'm from Corey, Katie from Coleraine.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
I was in Coleraine this past weekend. It was a
great time. I appreciate you.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Oh nice, thank you.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
You have a wonderful day. April seventh.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
By the way, I forgot to tell her is the
is one hundred and four on the list. If you're
just walking into this, I found a chart that has
the most popular birthdays and number one is coming up
in a few weeks on September seventeenth. Okay, if you
can trade me out just a few minutes of your time.
I've got the three things you need to know to
get your day started here in Cincy.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
If you're a true crime girly, don't go far.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
Whnn you need to know She's got you.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
It's three things with tip on.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
Hi, good morning, True crime girlies, and gentlemen, lock in.
I'm gonna need you on this. So we're just before
eight o'clock on the twenty fifth of August, and it
feels like we are deep into the fall right now.
Temperature is at sixty three degrees barely to start the day,
but we'll eventually bump into the mid seventies with sunshine,
(13:56):
and that's kind of the case for the next ten
or so day. I'm superstitious about the weather, so I'll
probably stop checking it the closer we get to Labor
Day weekend. We've got our Western and Southern WEBN fireworks
this coming Sunday, so praying for good weather on that one. Okay,
before we get to true crime, let's start off with
their Bengals ended up taking the l No One seems
(14:18):
to be worried about the forty one to fourteen loss
in the preseason game. The final preseason game against the Colts.
I'm wondering if you were down there, what the energy
was like. Saturday at one o'clock, Desmond Ridder played, and
I love that Desmond Ridder. None of our starters played,
but Desmond ended up going one in two, completed eight
(14:39):
of twenty passes for seventy five yards with an interception
and a rushing touchdown.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
By the way, here's coach Zach Taylor on the game.
Speaker 8 (14:47):
I feel good about where our teams at right now,
and so again, I'm excited to get through the preseason
and go play games because I see what I see
in practice, and so I'm just really excited from top
to bottom about a lot of the players that we have.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
That seem it seems to be the energy for a lot,
especially this morning. You were just infusing a little bit
of fall energy. I think I'm really delicate with the
situation because I have such a hard time saying goodbye
to summer. Like I was on a boat yesterday, you know,
and like the fact that I had to put on
a flannel this morning was a little emotional. So, uh,
you're gonna I'm going to death grip summer for a
(15:20):
little while, all right. Second, in three things, you need
to know this morning, let's talk about the Menendez brothers.
So we had covered this on Friday that Eric or
Lyle got I get them confused. This is why I
need our True Crime girl is to check in. Eric
was denied parole. We knew this right, that happened last week.
(15:43):
Friday afternoon, Lyle had his parole hearing and they also
denied him as well.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
And you know what, I think that there's something else
going on behind.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
This, because they had said he had displayed anti social
personality traits like deception and rule breaking, along with a
pattern of recent misconduct in prison, such as possessing a
cell phone, very similar to why Eric was denied. In fact,
the parole boy board said, you know, you're not getting
denied because of your crime. It's what you've been doing
behind bars in the last I don't know, thirty so years.
(16:18):
If you didn't know this, Menendez brothers were sentenced to
life without parole after the killing of their parents years ago.
This is a huge trial in the early nineties, and
then with some new evidence that came forward, they had
resentenced them to fifty years, making them eligible for parole immediately.
And they were both just denied for another three years.
(16:38):
I'd love to get your take on this. If you
want to contribute, you can either call me at five
win three seven four nine, one oh seven one, or
talk back with Tiff on the iHeartRadio app. And then, lastly,
in three Things You Need to Know, Sabrina Carpenter celebrating
the anniversary of Short and Sweet now one year ago.
When the album came out, we were pretty deep into
(16:59):
having Tiff in the morning song of Summer. We kind
of knew it was going to be Espresso at that point,
but that's voted on by you, and we have no
candidates this summer. She had said, I'm pausing from man's
best Friend to say happy one year anniversary to Short
and Sweet. One year of kiss marks, camaraderie and being
so let's say intimate. This album is one of my
(17:20):
most prized possessions and brought me closer to myself as
well as so many beautiful people in places. And then
she goes on to say a little bit more. I mean,
she ended up doing very well during award season with
Short and Sweet.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
I love the album, so many hits came off of it.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
I'm so glad that Sabrina Carpenter had her moment and
it's still having it. You know, she performed it like
the Kenwood Mall eight or nine years ago and now
the Women's Womaning Grammys. I say all that to say
because her newest album, Man's Best Friend, does come out
this Friday for New Music Friday, and of course I'll
have tracks all day long and hopefully we get a
little snippet as we get closer.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
You know, I'll have it for him.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
That is three things you need to know for the
twenty fifth of August coming up at eight twenty, we're
going to talk about love bombing.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
Have you ever been love bombed?
Speaker 3 (18:06):
What is the craziest way that you've been love bombed?
I'll explain why we're talking about it, but get a
jump on the conversation. Talk back with tiff On iHeartRadio.
The microphone is in the top right hand corner. I
want to know about your love bombing story.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
You're waking up fifth in the morning.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
Good morning, So is it romantic or is it a
red flag? Love Bombing was not a term, I feel
like until maybe the last.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Six to eight years in dating.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
If you're wondering what the true definition of love bombing
is the action or practice of lavishing someone with attention
or affection, especially in order to influence or manipulate them.
You and I are thinking the same thing. Who has
the time for that? But it happens. It happens a
lot in relationships, and I'm curious what your love bombing
(18:54):
stories are. So the reason why we're even talking about
it this morning is I had played some of Doja
Kat's new song in New Music Friday a couple of
days ago. Jealous Type is out, very eighties, very inspired,
very love inspired, and she did an interview with Zane Loan.
She talked a lot about love and where the album came,
but there was a term that came up and I thought, hmm,
this might be good for the show. She talked about
(19:15):
how some of the album comes from her stories with
love bombing.
Speaker 9 (19:19):
Other things outside of myself that were inspiring me to
write about these things that had been in relationships that
made me think about things in a different way. And
I think, you know, naivity is like a big part
of this album too. I speak about sort of rushing
(19:42):
and sort of love bombing in a way that's kind
of a big one. I think that's a fun subject.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
It's the thing about, Yeah, what is that?
Speaker 5 (19:52):
Had to find that term from your point of view,
because I've heard a couple of times in my life.
Speaker 9 (19:56):
I think sometimes people don't know that they're doing it,
or they do, but you know, giving excessive compliments and
gifts right off the bat, that sort of thing. Yeah,
I thought that was a really fun thing to write about.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
I can't wait to hear the album doesn't come out
until next month. But she makes a great point, and
I think Cincinnatians have a different threshold of what's romantic
or what was just too weird for you? And that's
why we're having That's where the conversation comes in. And
I'm curious to get your take on it and your stories,
because if I don't hear from you, it's just me
(20:32):
alone in this box, and I.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
Don't know if we look want that all the time.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
So what is the biggest, over the top romantic thing
that someone's ever done for you? And was it sweet
or was it just weird? And where did it leave you?
Five one three seven four nine one oh seven one
or maybe today's the day you test out the talk
back with tip Feature Company heard that I love leaving
voice notes from my friends, and I said, why don't
you just start integrating this into your show, so it's
(20:57):
like leaving me a voice note. Microphone is in the
top right handcre of the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
Good morning.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
How fitting based off of the conversation we're having No
Scrubs TLC one of my favorite bands, if not my
favorite app in of all time. You're waking up with
Tim in the morning on Kissuano seven one. We're talking
about love bombing. Is it romantic and sweet or was
it a red flag and was just a little too weird?
Speaker 4 (21:22):
What's your experience with love bombing.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
We're gonna start off with our talkbacks.
Speaker 10 (21:27):
So this girl blew me up for like six weeks constantly.
Speaker 11 (21:32):
You wanted to be with me when I spend time
with me, telling me how in love with me she was,
that she wanted forever with me, that she had never
said that to anybody else, And then come to find
out that the first three and a half weeks of
our relationship she was saying the same things and.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Cheating on me with her ex.
Speaker 10 (21:48):
But the love bombing stopped as soon as she was caught,
and then it was a whole other story.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
And I'm assuming this is part two of that story,
is it?
Speaker 1 (21:57):
So?
Speaker 10 (21:57):
Then after giving me the last time, she played me
for ten and a half months, leading me on and telling.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Me everything that I still wanted to hear.
Speaker 10 (22:07):
And now she's spent somebody new and she's love vombing
and doing the same thing to them.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
It's like a repeat pattern with.
Speaker 11 (22:15):
This woman, and some people are just sociopaths, especially when
it comes to relationships.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
Well, thank you for the talkback with Tiff, and thanks
for sharing. You made a great point there. I don't
want you to overthink that the talkback slash voice note thing.
It's just an alternative way to contribute to my show.
If you're an iHeartRadio app listener, you'll know what it is.
Speaker 4 (22:33):
If not, you can always call me don't stress.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
No problem.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
Five point three seven four nine one oh seven one
is my phone number. You make a great point. Some
people just I don't know, but it had a high
a year left on like this, You're like, what did
I just what happened? Was it romantic or was it
a red flag? I think we have varying opinions on
(22:58):
what's too much too soon. If you're looking for somebody
personal to compare it to you know, I've been dating
Tom Brady. We call him Tom Brady because he didn't
know who Tom Brady was on our first day.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
That's a story for another day. But i'd been six months, six.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
Months, and when I introduced him to people, I still
say this is my friend and this is someone I'm dating.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
I do not call him my boyfriend.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
I mean, we move things really slowly in my world
and in our world so that we're really sure about
who we are. But then I have friends that expect
a good morning and a good night text after the
first maybe one, two or three dates, And to me,
that's love bombing. We have varying opinions on this, so
why don't you share yours? Five one, three, seven, four
(23:41):
nine one oh seven one. I have yet to hear
of a crazy love bombing story.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Aaron Sensey.
Speaker 5 (23:49):
Glynn, you need to know she's got you.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
It's three things.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
Good morning.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
We're gonna start off with a little in general sports
wrap up in our first thing. So the Bengals took
the l against the Colts in the preseason. We're two
weeks now from regular season. No signing on Trey Hendrickson.
When there's more I'll have it. The Reds are ten
series and thirty one games away. That's all they have
left to qualify for the playoffs and enjoin the highly
(24:17):
exclusive club of teams that have gone unswept in a
single season. We ended up getting a win yesterday and
we're a game and a half out. I don't know
how you can be a half a game out. I'm
still confused by them. And then also.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
FCC took the l this past weekend.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
There are now they've dropped a third place in the
Supporter Shield. Supporter Shield, by the way, is the team
that has won the most regular season games.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
They'll be back at home this Saturday. All right.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Second, and three things you need to know this morning
Powerball numbers are up. How do you feel about the
lottery seven hundred and fifty million. I believe it is
the tenth largest prize ever.
Speaker 4 (24:53):
The cash value is estimated.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
At three hundred and thirty eight point six million dollars.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
If you want to get your power Ball tickets in,
I always say I'm going to buy one, and then
I never do.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
And then, lastly, in three things you need to know,
we are just a couple of days away from a
brand new Sabrina Carpenter album Man's Best Friend comes out
this Friday. We'll be world premiering it throughout the show
and throughout the day. But we are one calendar year
in celebration of Sabrina's last album, Short and Sweet. She
posted on social media one year of kiss Mark's camaraderie
(25:25):
and being super intimate. This album is one of my
most prized possessions. It brought me closer to myself as
well as so many beautiful people in places. Wonderful tour,
probably my favorite tour of last year.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
She just killed it.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
She killed it. She won a lot of awards for
that album, so we are not far off from another
one coming out this Friday, and you know I'll take
care of you. She was the winner of the Tiff
in the Morning Song of Summer last year, and we
only haven't have one thing to vote on for this year,
and I'm a little bitter about that.
Speaker 4 (25:54):
That is three things you need to know for the
twenty fifth of August.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
Your chance at a grand at a free trip to
Vegas our iHeartRadio Music Festival. I'm going to send you
out there around nine oh five because you're waking up
good morning, it's Mental Health Monday. Quick tidbits here and
there to make the week just a little bit better.
Get started off on the right foot with Lori sharp Page,
who's our licensed clinical counselor. Doom scrolling not a new word,
(26:20):
but things are coming to an end with doom scrolling.
Speaker 12 (26:23):
Well, I think we're having more and more conversation around
doom scrolling. So doom scrolling is the act of just
being on your phone and scrolling, scrolling, scrolling, even when
that little voice in your head's like maybe it's a
try to put it down and go.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
Take a walk.
Speaker 12 (26:36):
That's your your health and your well being speaking the
part that's telling you it goes touch grass right and
you get off the doom scroll right?
Speaker 2 (26:44):
But why can't I stop?
Speaker 12 (26:45):
Well, because it is actually very addictive to our dopamine cycles.
Right when we're doom scrolling, especially short content, we're looking
for that like, what's that one piece of content that's
going to feel so good that then we're going to
log off?
Speaker 4 (26:59):
But the problem is we don't.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
We just keep going, We keep going. We could go it.
Speaker 12 (27:02):
TikTok is aware of this, and they are aware of
how much it is happening around bedtimes, and so they
are actually going to be increasing the notification you get
if you have been on TikTok for two solid hours,
which I am sorry to tell you that I have been,
and I have gotten this notification. You'll get a very
lovely woman that pops up and it's like, are you
doomed scrolling?
Speaker 4 (27:22):
And you're like, scroll, I've never gotten that message.
Speaker 12 (27:26):
Oh yeah, it's out there. Apparently you're going to start
getting more of them. After ten pm, the algorithm is
going to start updating you more to try and get
people off the phones and into bed.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
We'll see, but it is.
Speaker 12 (27:37):
It is something that is definitely we can lose time,
and so be aware of don't ignore the lady.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
She's a very nice lady. She's coming back and she's
telling you to get off your phone.
Speaker 12 (27:47):
And sometimes I listen to her and it feels real good.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
So if you see her, do the same advice.
Speaker 12 (27:53):
Though.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
I find that I'm hearing people have a hard time
sleeping these days, and you think it is related to
social and what your peace.
Speaker 12 (28:00):
I think it's related to a lot of different things.
So sleeping is a complex biological process, and there is
research to suggest that the blue light that comes off
of our phone interrupts some of our natural kind of
like wind down neurochemical balances with our circadian rhythms.
Speaker 4 (28:17):
I got there.
Speaker 12 (28:17):
I couldn't remember exactly the term, but all this to
say that, like I do think doomscrolling contributes to it. Okay,
sleep is complicated, and if you find yourself struggling to sleep,
one of the best easiest interventions you can do is
to park your smartphone outside your bedroom.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
Bye, Okay, thank you.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
