Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning. Kish, Well,
that was cool. Like the song good morning, good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
I have a hoarder house update for you at the
tiff to F's potter like the wizard tap through the
snow stuff you'll see in my stories.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
And then it is right there. I was shocked, shocked
at what I.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Saw when I went home for Christmas, or I went
back to my parents' house for Christmas.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Quickly.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
You and I really haven't had a chance to debrief
any of December because it was just like kind of
came and went, and the New Year and then the
snowstorm and then here we are, and I just kind
of want to put it behind us.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
But overall, all in all, we good. You good, I'm good.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
The holiday was great. I had such a good time.
Tiff Miss was awesome. My trip back to Boston was great.
I spent New Year's as the DD like those are
like the main voice of God stuff for jingle Ball.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
All went well.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
It's all up on my Instagram if you would like
to have a more in depth look at it. Okay,
So when I meet people in the wild, in my friends,
the people in my inner circle, outer circle, whatever the
first thing they'd say to me a lot of times is, oh,
my god, I was following that hoarder house stuff that

(01:14):
you were doing about your parents when you were home
in the summer. If you don't know very quickly, my dad,
who's probably listening right now, Hi, Steve, thank you for
having us on on the iHeartRadio.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
App in Boston.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
He has lived in his house for forever and ever
and ever and is a part of the boomer generation
that never threw anything away. Well, my stepmom had gone
through some medical stuff this summer and there was a
chance that she was going to need a walker, and
I just knew that the house was bad. But that
was the catalyst event for me to fly home for
three and a half days, and my stepsister and I

(01:49):
just tore through that house and really, I mean we
were in.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
The trenches, trenches clean.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
We threw away bags and bags and bags and bags
and bags, and donated bags and bags and books and
all of it. My dad's a big newspaper bills magazine's collector,
like stacks and stacks from like two thousand and eight
when I graduated high school, all right in in my
thirties right now, so and on top of that, it
was just it hadn't been cleaned and so long.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
So my sister and I went in and we did it.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
And when I left, I looked him in the eye
and I said, I will be back.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
I will be back in December and.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
I will be checking up on you and I'll be
checking up on this situation.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
And there's still more to do.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
By the way, when you see the videos, you'll notice
that that is just My parents live in a ranch,
so the bottom there's still a basement, and then my
dad owns a garage. We still have more to do
in this process, but the first floor itself. When I
left that after Labor Day weekend, I flew home the
day of the fireworks. When I left that morning, I

(02:51):
looked him dead in the eye and I said, I
will be back to check in on this situation. So
in December, when I was home visiting, I said, all right,
let's go inside.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
He said, okay.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I said, I'm trusting you that all the hard work
we put in is still there. And you don't know,
like you just give it to your parents and you say,
I'm at that phase where a parent like kids are
starting to parent their parents a little bit I was
shocked when I walked in there, guys, shocked.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
It looked exactly the way I left it. Dad, I'm
proud of you. I was so happy.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
It just brought so much relief to my heart because
I was just so I was like, I was nervous
because you have to let go at one point, you know,
and you just got to say, you get this is
your house, this is your life, and that is not
the case for many. I know I'm lucky in this
one because I get a lot of messages about this,
about family members that are like, they won't let me
throw anything away, and you know, we have to wait

(03:49):
until they pass away, and then we're left with not
only the fact that they passed, but like just a
nightmare to clean everything out, et cetera. And I know
I'm lucky, and I've gotten a lot of messages from
people that are not in the same position.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
So I'm thinking of you this morning, Like.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
I said, if you want to see it at the
TIF two F's Potter like the Wizard or were commercial
free and the morning rolls on. By the way, it
is Wednesday. I had to remind myself of that
