Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning, hun kiss
on U seven one good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
I want to know what your first car was, and
I asked, and I'm super grateful and appreciative that you
delivered so early in the morning.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
I had put out the.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Call for talkbacks about a half hour ago and they're
already starting to roll in good morning.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
My first car was a two thousand silver Ford Focus
hatchback fully decked out on the inside in pink and zabraprint.
If you know, you know, I do not. And then
my husband, his first car was a nineteen seventy something
Plymouth Duster.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Two very different first cars. Let me see if my
neurodivergent brain will allow me to google what a Plymouth
Duster looks like and talk at the same time. Okay,
Plymouth Duster, damn. No, wonder why you were dating him? Okay,
Actually I don't know if you guys were dating as
you were growing up. You sounded like you could have
been high school sweethearts, and I love that for you.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
So the reason why we're talking about this is I
coach field hockey for a local high school. Blue ash
shot out to Arthline Academy We've been back at it
for you know, a good six weeks at this point,
and the girlies are back to school. And first of all,
I love the community. I love the parents, I love
the students, I love the environment. I love being a
part of high school sports. And I appreciate when Cincinnatians
invite me into their families, because you know, mine lives
(01:18):
in Massachusetts. I'm a solo gal here and I have
walked into our cars and walk into our vehicles. I've
noticed that some of the girlies have like nice cars.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Is that a that's a land Rover.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
It doesn't matter if that land Rover is from like
their early two thousands, That's still a land Rover. My
car barely worked. My first car bare so you can
see where this is going. I would love to hear
about your first car. You can use that same talk
back with tip feature. My company was, like, you talk
about voice notes so much on your show.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Here's a feature for you.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
The microphone is in the top right hand corner, and
I'm the only one that checks them. It's not like
some random producer checks them and then sends them to me.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
It's just me.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
I run the show alone, So use the microphone top
right hand corner. Search Kiss on the iHeartRadio app. You
can also call me as well if you want. My
first car was a nineteen eighty something Chrysler New Yorker,
and I got my driver's license in the early thousands.
When I tell you that thing barely worked. It barely worked,
(02:24):
but it was cool. We called it night Rider because
it would talk, and I think for that era, having
a car that would talk was crazy. It would say
you're please fasten your seatbelt, adoor is a jar, fuel
is low. And then at one point, I'm not kidding,
I was on the highway and it said electrical systems malfunctioning,
(02:45):
Please pull over, and my friends and I were like,
what Triple A. I don't even think Triple A had
unlimited towing at that point, but I was using it
like it didn't. It also didn't have heat, so I
could only drive it during certain seasons, and I remember
remember my dad bought me an electric heater that would
plug into the cigarette lighter and then I would put
(03:06):
that on my windshield. I remember one day it was
so frosty that my friend and I had to call off,
like call out of school week. We couldn't go because
my car wouldn't work that thing, and and it had
its certain quarks, which I'm sure your car did as well,
where if you turned it on at a certain time,
or like I had to smash it into drive immediately
upon turning it on, or it would just shut off
(03:27):
on the highway while these girls are driving land Rovers
five one three, seven, four nine one seven one, even
if your Honda is newer than a twenty eighteen, like
you've got a luxury car.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
That was last year's tip in the Morning Song of Summer,
voted on by you, and we've got nothing this year.
But what I do have for you is twenty one
pilot's tickets coming up in a few minutes. I'm wondering
what was your very first car? Hi, you're on Kiss
one oh seven to one.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Good morning, Okay. So I had a two thousand and
nine Dodge Charger with a Hemi engine at the age
of twenty.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Girl, girl, where were you driving that.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Thing to work? I was going all the way to
ann Arbor, Michigan and back to.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Detroit IMP seventy one.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
Oh yeah, I've so many people actually in car got
crashed because I was at a red light and somebody
thought I was trying to raise them and that time
ended up losing the first car that I ever had.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Dan, did you buy that thing new? Where'd you get
that thing?
Speaker 4 (04:37):
My uncle actually worked on vehicles and he always stoops
and boots up his cars. I mean the car was
fully loaded, blue lights, one of those things that come
out with the Boss six CD changer.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Oh wow, I mean and Wessels.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
I'm telling you.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
What's your name with Neighbordy waken mean.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
I'm Arianna and I am in Newport.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Arianna.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Thank you so much for the call, my gal, I
have made my day.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Where if you're just walking into the conversation for maybe
the first time this morning, we're in the midst of
talking about your first car. I was chit chatting about
some of the girls that I coached field hockey for
at a high school here, and I saw one of
them drive like a land Rover.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
I was like, damn.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
My first car was a Chrysler New Yorker and it
barely worked. Barely it shut off. It would shut off
at a red light. That My second car, since we're
on it was a Chevy Geo Tracker and it was dope.
I mean, it was cool because I could take the
whole roof off, But it was my very first Standard,
(05:45):
and so the amount of anxiety that comes with driving
a Standard is probably like the amount of anxiety it
comes with your first waitressing shift. It's one of those
things that you should always learn, just to have that
skill in life. But damn all right, feel free to
can be to the conversation coming up three minutes from now.
I do have your chance to win twenty one Pilot's tickets.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
And how about this.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
Banger you're well, it's in the morning one.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Oh, no worries. I'm sweating too.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
That's such a good song. I hope that puts you
in a good mood. It's our twenty one Pilot's ticket tag.
Right now, I am looking for Instagram.
Speaker 6 (06:20):
User Sophia Garciella. That is sof underscore pe, Sofia, Sofia, Sofia,
sof underscore.
Speaker 7 (06:31):
Pee.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
You have ten minutes and seven seconds to call me
back for the twenty one Pilot's tickets. We're in the
midst of chit chatting about your first car as you
walk into this conversation this morning, shout out to the
cold beer guy. Always leaves me a talk back. I
appreciate you.
Speaker 5 (06:43):
Man. Hey tis good morning from the cold beer Go.
My first car was a nineteen eighty seventh from Marios
twenty eight. It was bright yellow, which I found out
later it's pretty rare. And my dad said, if you
want to drive, I'll pay for driving school, but you
have to buy your own pars.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
And that's what I think I had to do as well.
Thank you for the talk back with Tiff again. Soaf
underscore pe five one three seven, four oh nine, one
oh seven one.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Good luck, Good morning.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
You're waking up with TIF in the morning on a
kiss one O seven one. We're in the midst of
chit chatting about what your first car was, and I figured,
since he might be whipping that car into your high
school parking lot for the first time, it'd be a
good conversation to get into.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Hi, you're on the air.
Speaker 7 (07:28):
Back in nineteen eighty four, I had my uncle said
I'm going to put you in a tank, and he did.
It was a seventy nine in Parala, and it was
so big and it was green. I hate to mention
another radio station, but if we put ebn frog stickers
all over it packed it full of kids.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
And that's what we drove.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
I love, no, I love that you had the WEBN
frog sticker on it, because that must have been iconic,
especially during that era.
Speaker 7 (07:59):
It's sure.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
I'll have to tell my.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Girl Sarah and kid Chris that you called in and
that you had the stickers on.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Are you going to the fireworks.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
By the way?
Speaker 7 (08:06):
Oh yeah, I never miss it.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Okay? Are you Ohio or Kentucky side?
Speaker 7 (08:11):
Kentucky?
Speaker 2 (08:15):
You know, although I am an Ohio girlie, I do
watch the fireworks from the Kentucky side every year.
Speaker 7 (08:22):
Oh yeah, that's great.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
So if you see me down there, make sure you
come over and say hi.
Speaker 7 (08:27):
Okay, I sure will, thank you.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
You're welcome. I didn't even get your name. I'm so sorry.
My name is Lewis Relus.
Speaker 7 (08:36):
Lois Zealous.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Oh Lois, Oh my god, Tiffany. Okay, thank you, Lois.
You have a wonderful day. Ut I'm crying, Zella Tiffany?
Whose names Zealous? In Cincinnati?
Speaker 1 (08:52):
No one? The obvious choice would have been Lois. Well
this update not well? Hey did you hear about the
fireworks theme?
Speaker 2 (09:05):
It is Boom's Day the musical, and I have a
feeling the soundtrack is. I mean, the soundtrack is foiler
every year, but I have a feeling it's gonna be
really really cool this year. You'll have to let me
know if you're going or not. Yeah, I can't wait.
It is one week from this Sunday.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
Whoo okay.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
Coming up in a couple of minutes, I have the
three things you need to know to get your day started.
Speaker 1 (09:30):

Speaker 2 (09:32):
