Speaker 6 (01:35):
In the morning.

Speaker 7 (01:36):
Kiss alrighty, it is time for the Wicked debrief. Sarah
and I went to the advanced screening at Showcase Cinema
last night, which is my second home.

Speaker 6 (01:47):
Do you remember when we talked yesterday about Cynthia and
Ariana constantly crying? Yes, I gotta like I can no
longer judge the crying. I watched the interviews way differently now.

Speaker 7 (02:03):
So yesterday yesterday, at some point in the morning, we
had given our numbers for one to ten, what we
thought the movie was gonna be. Was it going to
live up to the numbers? Your number was, I said,
a ten? And your number now is a billion? Okay,
a billion. It's the best movie I've ever seen in
my life. It was so well done. I also gave

(02:25):
it a ten, and I am even though extremely different
from you in every way, shape of form, we have
totally different styles in so many ways.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Uh huh, I'm also giving it a ten. A ten,
what about a billion?

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Well?

Speaker 7 (02:38):
All right, I was being reasonable here, logic Okay. Sarah
cheered at the end of the movie. I like the
end scene happened, and she goes wow and starts clap.
She started the clap in a full theater. Imagine what
that feeling is like.

Speaker 6 (02:53):
It was like I was on broad It was like
the thing was on Broadway right in front of us.
Seeing both This might be better than watching it on Broadway.

Speaker 7 (03:02):
Really. Yeah, I'm a big lover of going to the
movie theater. I highly recommend the movie theater experience. You
have to see it in the theater. I'm sure it'll
get released months and months down the line after they've
recouped the cost of the marketing. We're gonna go through
four top things. Yeah, visuals, acting, slash casting, singing, and
overall vibes in plot.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Let's start off with the visuals. Perfect. It's absolutely beautiful.

Speaker 6 (03:25):
This thing took place in the UK, and every single
detail was thought about. It's so magical and sparkly and
pink and green, and it's just it's gorgeous.

Speaker 7 (03:36):
I had a hard time figuring out what was real
versus what was like AI and CGI.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
I felt like I was in it right. It was
like one thing blended seamlessly into another. I thought the.

Speaker 7 (03:47):
Visuals were very very close, like your eyes, so you
just said something to look at. Another reason why I
recommend going to see it in the theater.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, it's so.

Speaker 6 (03:54):
Overwhelming and colorful and just stunning, like your eyes are
just going all over the place, like you want to
see everything.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Oh.

Speaker 7 (04:04):
I do have to tell you though, Yes, you are
the friend at the movie theater that makes like little
noises throughout the entire movie.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Oh, I was.

Speaker 6 (04:13):
Squealing, I'm excited.

Speaker 8 (04:16):
Just kept being like ugh m oh like every song,
and we both were You've blown away the whole time.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
I really was, you make little cooing noises. I was
like Sarah.

Speaker 7 (04:30):
She was wrapped up in the magic acting slash casting
perfectly cast Oude even though you and I looked at
Ariana Grande's current boyfriend who now stars in that film.
I'm having a hard time, I'm having a hard time
with it.

Speaker 6 (04:45):
Yeah, but here's the thing, I'll say, kind of just
not too spoily. He's not in it that much, which
I was grateful for. I'm like, look, I get he's
the dude from munchkin Land. That's cool.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
You don't really see him a whole lot.

Speaker 6 (04:59):
And I'm like, oh, thank god, I don't want to
look at this dork. I am blown away at the
fact that he is the man lucky enough to be
with Arianna Grande.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
What is SpongeBob Packen what?

Speaker 6 (05:11):
Because I look at him and I'm like, Arianna could
be with any man, woman, whoever in this world. That
is who she chose, whatever, whatever, I Am not listen.

Speaker 7 (05:23):
We all have our own styles and tastes. And she
she went with that. I think that there is love
for everyone, and she went with that. I would have
gone with Anthony Bridgerton because oh my god, that man
was good looking.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
But outside of.

Speaker 7 (05:36):
Those two things, I can see why, Like you had mentioned,
Ari and Cynthie cry at every turn of an interview page.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
And when they're they were it was amazing.

Speaker 6 (05:46):
Yeah, when they start to tear up during the songs,
it's it's real and you can feel the emotion and
they have this beautiful chemistry on the screen. I've never
seen anything like it. It was perfectly cast in every way.

Speaker 7 (06:00):
And let's just blend this into singing as well. They
both Ari is made. I could see why there was
an interview recently where Ari said, listen, I'm probably done
with putting out music for a while because I want
to get back into my acting roots. That role was
so perfectly casted for her. She's funny, She's got like
good comedic timing. And that was the one thing I

(06:20):
noticed about Glinda in the movie is that you could
see the comedy side of Ari in that.

Speaker 6 (06:25):
Oh yeah, they definitely respect the roles of Glinda and Alphaba.
I mean they they had their own like personalities kind
of like blended in with those characters, and it was
just so cool and it was it was just perfectly done.
I have no bad comments about the movie at all, Like,
nothing bad about it overall.

Speaker 7 (06:44):
Vibes versus and the plot and such. I'm having a
hard time with the plot because I don't quite remember
the story. So Glinda's the good Witch and then Alphaba
is who.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
Alphaba in the Wizard of Oz is the one that
you see that has a house on top of her.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Is she the Wicked Witch of the East or the West?
I believe it's the West. Okay, I want to double
check that though.

Speaker 6 (07:09):
But this is the prequel to The Wizard of Oz
and heads up, this is part one, so if you've
seen the Broadway play, you know when that ends. So
I'll just say that part two is coming out November
of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 7 (07:24):
Who's the Wicked Witch of the East?

Speaker 2 (07:30):
There we go, right and princes, we're gonna.

Speaker 7 (07:43):
My favorite clip of all time all tens still sticks.
I highly recommend going to see it. If you know
the plot and you want to reach out. You aheadn't
fill me in on that one. Lastly, you and I
had varying opinions of The Joker.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Is this better than The Joker? Because I thought the
Joker was a joke.

Speaker 6 (08:03):
Oh well, the Joker is amazing, but this is a
totally different type of vibe. This is my favorite.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Movie of all time. Wow, there's just nothing better.

Speaker 6 (08:13):
It was really perfect.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
