Speaker 1 (00:01):
Because you're waking up with fifth in the morning. Kiss,
good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
I'm gonna lean India here, would you adopt a dog
that was twelve years old? I've gotten pretty good at
trusting my gut and my instincts.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
It took a while to get here, but.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
I really I'm good at knowing what's best for me.
But I cannot, for the life of me, get a
good temperature check on this one.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
I don't know what to do. So if you're a.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Visual person at the TIF two, f's Potter like the Wizard.
It's the last thing in my stories after Zach And
it was brought to my attention that this old lady
dog who's twelve years old needs a home.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Actually you might know who.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
This is, Alison Rodgers from WLWT, the weather gal there.
We're friends, but we're like internet besties. She had posted
this dog and said, you know, hey, the owner had
passed away I think of old age, and stayed with
the owner for like a week in the house, like
a week until anyone really found them.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
But she's very loyal. It is what I'm getting from that.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
It has all her stats like you have to look
at it. You have to if you're a dog expert,
or maybe you're single and solo and like I am,
and you eventually you adopted a dog, but you were
like super super nervous to change your lifestyle around.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
This is where you would really help me out here.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
If this was your kid, because I'm gonna I know,
I'm gonna hear from all sides of it, right should
I Should I do it?
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Should I not? You know, if you're a dog lover,
you're gonna say yes.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
But I like, I need you to think about this
specific life that I live, single, solo apartment living. I'm home, yeah,
for sure, but it's in the middle of January. I
travel here and there, so I just I really don't
know what to do. But when I look at her,
I'm like, she's an old lady. She just wants to
kick her feet up in retirement and relax.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Service and I have.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
I never realized how much joy that a dog.
Speaker 5 (02:04):
As a compania you.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Okay, quality was a little med but I was picking
up what you're putting down. Thank you for the talkback
whis if it's an alternative way if you don't feel
like calling to get in touch with me every morning.
I like voice notes, so that's why I often offer
this as an alternative for you. You'll see the microphone
next to the play button in the top right hand
corner when you're listening to Kiss on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
To leave me one.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
I have gotten a lot of yeses and a lot
of nose through DMS, through talkbacks.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
I'm torn.
Speaker 6 (02:33):
Hey Kiff, good morning from the cold cold beer guy.
About adopting a senior dog. I would say that's a no.
Their vet bills are very very expensive towards the end. Okay,
forget that may be why the owner got rid of it,
but who knows.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yeah, her family, the dog's family. I think no one
in the extended family was willing to take her on.
From the videos, she guys, you're gonna love her. She
looks so cute and chill just sitting on that little couch.
You guys have to check it out and let me
know what your thoughts are. Dog experts would love to
hear from you. People that are in maybe in the
same position that I was in, afraid to take the
(03:12):
leap and the jump, love to hear from you as well.
I'll float the number one more time five one, three, seven, four, nine,
one oh seven one.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Should I get this doctor?
Speaker 3 (03:20):
No?
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Good morning, Good morning. Uh.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
I had a feeling that you would be super helpful
in this situation because I'm having a hard time trusting
my gut and getting a read on my instincts with
this specific situation. You're waking up with tip in the
morning on kisue oh seven one. I had asked the
question on social media and on the show yesterday if
I should adopt this senior dog that's like twelve years old.
(03:43):
You can see her little face on the internet if
you want to.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
On my stories and.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
I am still here fielding dms and questions for my
friends and it's totally mixed on the reviews. Hi, you're
on the air, Thanks for stopping by.
Speaker 5 (03:56):
I'm had to say no, that dog's way too old
at getting attached to it. It's gonna die. I'm just
being honest. I'm way too old to be adopted. You know, now,
you don't need that in your life. You need more excitement,
but you need somebody to hold you down. You need excitement.
You got to get a young pup. You want that
many excitement to adopt the baby. I mean, you know,
(04:18):
old dog in your life just being honest with you.
I need somebody to be honest with you. Not these
dog lovers I got. I got a couple of dogs myself.
But I'm just gonna be completely honest with you. Don't
need to change your lifestyle for an old dog. You
want to adopt a dog, get somebody young, and you
can grow attached to that part of your family that
you can love and you can make your own. I mean, somebody,
somebody old needs to get that old dog. That way,
(04:39):
it's on the same page. You ain't old. It's wrong
with you.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
I love you so much. I don't even know your
name and what neighborhood you're in.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
I'm Russell. I'm from Cincinnati.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
All right, Russell, thank you for that take. This is
what I need. I need the realist out here. All right,
good morning, you're on the air. Thanks for stopping by.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
I would say, take a step back and maybe research
a little about the breed of adult.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
And you're not familiar with having an animal on your own, Okay,
that's good insight. I haven't gotten that one yet.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
I just assumed that if she was twelve, that she
would just be kind of chill and fine and easy, right, right, I'm.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Just a researcher, and I research every animal that I've
ever got.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Okay, well, if that would be why I suggest.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
That if you have a chance to look at her,
go to my stories at the tiff two F's Potter
like the Wizard, it's the last one there. Take a
peek at her, and just I would love your insight.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Let me know. DM me back all right, will do?
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Thank you?
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Thank you for the help. I really appreciate. I knew
you guys would come in the clutch. I knew it.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
My best friend Casey in our group text is hitting
me up as we speak. Thanks for listening on the
iHeartRadio app. Gal, She's like, you would love her. I
bet you'd love it. I don't I know this is
gonna sound. I've been I'm milling on this for the
last twenty four hours. I don't really want a dog
that I'm going to have for ten years right now,
like a two A dog that I might have for
(06:09):
a year, two years, three years feels like the right
thing for me at this time. I just don't know
if I'm willing to adjust my lifestyle. Does that make
me a bad person? Would you adopt this old lady dog,
Yes or no. Five, win three seven, four nine one
O seven one, if you want to call it, just
like Russell and the rest of our friends did this morning. Hi,
good morning. I appreciate your patients. As I run this
(06:32):
show solo, I'm answering a lot of your phone calls,
fielding your dms and talkbacks, et cetera. So if I'm
a little slow to get to you, thanks for calling
back and sticking around. You're waking up a tip in
the morning on Kiss one oh seven one, and I
had asked your opinion. It started on social media and
on the air yesterday on whether or not I should
adopt this senior dog named Sally who's twelve years old.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Good morning. I can't get a good read.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
So my thought on this is your gut is telling
you this is not the right fit for you, okay,
but your heart is saying this poor dog needs me.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
I think we need to move this from should I
be getting the dog too? Let's find the dog the
right house.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
I love you for this. What's your name, by the way,
what's your neighborhood You're.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
In Jessica from Erlinger Jessica, thank you for the call.
It's actually up in my instant stories and you can
click on it.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
I think it's the Kenton County Animal Shelter. If you're like,
you know what, I can give Sally a home, why
don't you? You can take a peek at her there.
Thank you for the call.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
I know I can't. It's because my heart is saying
the same thing. Oh my goodness, that dog needs me.
But it's not my lifestyle. I couldn't do it right now.
And that's what it sounds like it's happening with you.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
You're the best. I appreciate you, guy. You have a
good weekend you as well.
Speaker 6 (07:39):
Nighte.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
All right, let's get to our net.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
We have, like at least I'm a little.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
We have time for at least one more call. Good
morning dog. Yes, go ahead, absolutely take it.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
I work in the veterinary field and I have for
eight years. Okay, your gut is telling you or even
considering it, I feel like you should do it because
there's not many people that are willing to do that.
So say you don't take her, what are her options?
Is there anybody else that is willing to take her
and give her the life that you could potentially give her?
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Chas.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
I don't even know what breech she is. I didn't
even look up at the picture. Chances are she is
a very chill and light backed off. She lived with
an old lady.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Okay, how active could she be? That's what I'm my opion,
you know, in my opinion?
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Yes, I appre what's your what's your name? By the way,
what neighborhood you call me from?
Speaker 4 (08:30):
My name is Lindsay and I live in Hamilton.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
All right, Lindsay, make sure you check out the weed
Burger King at some point. I really appreciate your take there.
Like like I said, it's split.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Every corner I turn on this conversation, I get a
new insight that I like. I mentioned, I'm pretty good
at leaning into my gut and my instincts, but this
one I'm having a hard time with.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
So I appreciate you. Here's how we're going to leave this.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
I DMed Kenton County and I'm going to try and
meet Sally this weekend.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
The universe will tell me what's right.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
If she is, we match and we feel good about
one another, then maybe I'll take her home. If I
my gut says no, then I'm gonna get some videos.
We're gonna get a story up, and we're gonna try
and get her adopted either way, So why don't you
circle back with me on Monday. Hopefully I can get
in and see her this weekend. Okay, all right, let's table.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
This from now. Let's move on to.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
There's a trend on the internet has making me cry laughing.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Now.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
I don't participate in door dash and Instacart, but men
that do are struggling with this one thing.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
We'll talk about it next
