Speaker 1 (00:00):
Because you're waking up with fifth in the morning.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Remember, you have to sometimes actively swallow the ick.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
Okay, this is an icky one.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
The other night, there is a moment at the Reds
game that's somewhat gone viral, most likely because Sarah at
Lisa's posted about it and she's a million followers, where
a guy brought a baseball glove into Great American right
and dropped and did not catch the fly ball.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, this was the viral clip. You've probably
seen it online. The Reds were in Pittsburgh this up
as far as yeah, yeah, and this guy he looks
like he's in his mid forties or whatever, you know,
and it's the foul ball and it goes to him,
and I mean he looked very confident, like held his
hand up in the air. Mind you, there is a
glove on his hand on this forty something year old man. Dude,
(00:52):
dude misses it. You know, it tips out of the
glove and goes out. And I'm like, Okay, if you're
gonna wear the glove, you at least got to catch
the ball. But then also I thought of the questionnaire.
I said, what should be the age cut off for
bringing a glove to a baseball game. Like I see
grown men all the time with jerseys on the glove
like a helmet. Sometimes just like, oh my god, can't
it's an ick.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
It's an ick for me, sixteen for me. If you
are like in high school, yes, okay.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
The day you graduate senior year of high school is
the last day that you can bring a glove to
the ballpark.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
That is just too much. But here I'll make the
exception for this though.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Okay, if you have a child with you and you
are a grown man, sure that could be an activity
you do together. Now a lot of times at the ballpark,
I do not see any children with these grown men
that have gloves on their hands.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
And you're a resident of Great America. Yeah, and I
see this. I'm like, oh, I just like it's an ick, right,
it's an ick. I think it's an ick to bring
to pack the glove.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Oh, take it out of the See.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
I see these guys like.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Handing over their cell phone to the ticket person at
the gate. God love those people, by the way, And
they got the cell phone in one hand and the
other they've got the club on.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Ready ready, not in a bag?
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Is there?
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Not like a bag for their just.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
I mean they could, but they are ready with the
glove on their hand. Just and then they run out
to the stadium, you know, to get to the field
to catch the the ball during batting practice.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Oh my god. They get there early.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
You have to get there early for batting practice. So
they're getting in there as the gates are opening. They
go out to the outfield seats and they're just holding up.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Their hands ready to catch a ball at any moment.
