Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning, kiss one.
I was seven one.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
The million dollar question is how much, if any, should
this guy pay his ex wife after winning the lottery.
I'm very excited to guide us through this conversation, and
it's important that you contribute because I've never been married,
so I can only speculate what I would do if I.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Was in this situation. But I don't have an answer
for you.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
The lottery has come up twice on my show this week.
You know, with the powerball no one won. By the way,
last night, you can still still get your tickets. But
this guy named Mike Whirski won two hundred and seventy
three million in a different jackpot, And the million dollar
question is does he owe his ex wife any of

(00:47):
the money they were divorced Back in October.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I bought tickets and messing with my phone and putting
my money away two hands. So I set the tickets down,
thinking I was going to pick them up and walk out,
and I just walked out without the takeickets.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I was cleaning up. He was the last person in
here buying lotto, and his tickets were here on the counter,
so I put them for safe keeping. Under our register.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Quick check cashier Phil Campolo held on to the tickets
and gave them back to Worski when he returned the
next day.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Isn't that wild? So two things are happening in this story.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
At one time.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
The guy got the winning lottery ticket but left it
on the counter, and the quick stop guy saved it
for him.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Talk about a local legend hero. Second part of the
story is all right.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Mike Wirski was divorced back in October. His wife supported
him throughout their marriage for like fourteen or fifteen years
while he didn't work. Does he owe her any of
the money if they're already legally divorced the divorce is
done at this point, it's almost a year ago that
they were divorced. If he owes her money, what is
she to give her? Five one three seven four nine

(01:52):
one oh seven one? If your divorced, do you owe
the guy money or your ex money? Do you owe
the quick Stop guy money? Feel free to talk back
with Tiff on the iHeartRadio app as well. The microphone
is in the top right hand corner. I'd love to
hear from you, and I need your take. I've never
been married.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
I don't know how this goes. Hi kis one of
seven one's commercial free.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
You know it's a good day on Tiff in the
morning when the phone lines are full and the talkbacks
are lining up.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Good morning, you're on the air.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
I think he totally owes her.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Legally probably not, but morally absolutely And.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Same for the quick stop guy. What's your name? What
neighborhood you waken up with me and share field? And
my name is Sheena Cina. Thank you for the call.
I appreciate my girl. Thank you.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
Have a good day.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
YouTube. If you're just.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Walking into the conversation Mike Wirski is let me just
spin the tail for you. Mike Wirski won two hundred
and seventy three million dollars. Does he owe his ex
wife any of the money? They've been divorced for less
than a year, but almost a year. What's your take
on that? Let me add the cave on. She supported
him apparently for like fourteen or fifteen years while he

(02:59):
didn't work.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
We're gonna pop over to our talkbacks. Good morning.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
No, my ex husband is not getting a dime. I
don't care if I only won five dollars when we
were married and I found out I was pregnant. I
took all of my savings and put it into my
child's college ton which was forty five thousand dollars, And
before we separated, he took it out and put it
into an IRA and I got nothing when we got

(03:24):
divorced out of the money that I put in. So no,
he's not even getting five dollars from.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Me, girl, I can smell the bitterness. I get it.
Thank you for the talkback wits.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
If the microphone is in the top right hand corner
of the iHeartRadio app, you just hold that down. You
have thirty seconds to contribute to this conversation if you'd like,
does he.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
O or anything? What's your thoughts on it?

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Hi, good morning, You're waking up with TIF in the
morning on Kiss one oh seven one. The million dollar
question today is does Mike Whirsky owe his ex wife
any of his lottery winnings. We've talked about the lottery
twice on my show. This is a separate lottery thing.
But he picked up two hunderd and seventy three million
dollars in him and his ex wife have been divorced
for a little less than a year and she supported

(04:10):
him apparently while he wasn't working for the better half
of a decade.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
What are your thoughts.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Nature see from Leven and Nice? I'm like, I'm I was.
I'm just thinking of this from my perspector. I've been
divorced for years. I like, I have young children, so
I feel like I would want to give my ex
some of it just to like and he but he

(04:35):
has always been terrible with money, so I think it
really depends on the situation. Oh my god, I would
be selfissed if my ex cousin imagine the battery afterward
divorced like this whole time, I've been scraping mide and
make a marriage work, and then you win the lottery

(04:56):
after I'm legally mad entitled to it.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Girl, I am crying because I was thinking the same way.
His ex wife supported him for fifteen years and then
he wins the lottery.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 5 (05:11):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Steveny, thanks so much for the call and contributing to
the show this morning. I appreciate that. Let's pop over
to our talkbacks, shall we. It is an alternative way
to get in touch with the show. The microphone is
in the top right hand corner of the app.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
You just hold that down.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
Good morning, Tiff. This is Angie from Lebanon too. Even
in regards to her, should the husband give his money
or give some of his winnings lottery money to his
ex wife? I say he should at least share it,
my gosh, you know, for as long as she supported
him being without a job, yes he should give her some,

(05:47):
not half, but a good amount. It's fair.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Well, thank you hip, break.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Day you too, my gal. That was two back to
back people reaching out from Lebanon. What's going on out there?

Speaker 7 (05:57):
You know?

Speaker 2 (05:57):
I experienced him. I went to Bishop's Quarter and I
went to Cincy Shirts and I did the door. I
went to Plaid Room. I went to Plaid Records this weekend.
If if we're not connected on social life, I was
up there anyways. I'm getting sidetracked right, like legally doesn't
over a dime. Morally, Oh, I would be sleeping with

(06:20):
one eye open, like final destination type of stuff if
I didn't share the money with her. Not because I
think that she would come after him, but because I
think the universe would come after him.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Don't you agree? Good morning?

Speaker 2 (06:33):
I know I had said we're gonna move on to
three things you need to know. But we've gotten a
lot of phone calls and talkbacks about this lottery situation.
Mike Whirski won two hundred and seventy three million. Him
and his ex wife have been divorced now for almost
a year, but she supported him for more than ten
years while they were married and he didn't work.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Does he owe any of the money? Good morning, you're
on the air.

Speaker 7 (06:55):
Good morning, Yeah, I was just calling you if I
can't figure out how he is a talk.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Back APPA, don't don't overthink it. Don't stress. The phone
line works just as good.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
My gal. What's up?

Speaker 7 (07:06):
Yeah, I just wanted to comment on the subject of
owing money.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Yep, my dad.

Speaker 7 (07:12):
My mom seems to think my dad it was her
alimony because she never works, but she cheated on my
dad with three of my ex boyfriends. So I feel
like at this point, I don't think my dad owes
my mom anything.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
I want my opinion, and your opinion is valid. My gal?
What's your name with neighborhood? You waking up with me?

Speaker 7 (07:31):
And I am Brooklyn and I am waking up in
raich Chill Cove Dale area.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Okay, Brooklyn, thank you for listening.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
I don't know if Ohio is in no fault state,
like legally if they owe any money, but morally, I
really understand where you're coming from.

Speaker 7 (07:49):
Yeah, he just lost his job because the company was
trying to get him to divorce her. Because my mom's
been in and out of rehabbing. His insurance has been
paying it, and he lost his job because the company said, well,
our insurance mediums are going up, you will divorce this lady.
And it's been a nightmare for her.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
And you know, I feel bad.

Speaker 7 (08:07):
But I don't because it like the whole my ex
boyfriend thing.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Sure, but you know it is what it is is
I guess well, Brooklyn, you are just one of many
Cincinnatians most likely going through it, and it happens every
day around us.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
I really appreciate you sharing your story with me.
