Speaker 1 (00:00):
Because you're waking up.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
What's the first core memory you have of your new
neighbor and or roommate.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
I cannot wait for your stories.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
It's one of my favorite things that we do on
my show, talk about roommates neighbors.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Excuse me.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
One of the biggest days of the year for moving
is this weekend Labor Day, usually September one, is when
a lot of leases happen, and you and I both
know that your friends do not want to help you move.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
They don't.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Some of them will show up, but they don't want
to shut up.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Shut up, Shut up, ri Peter Chandler.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
So Tom Brady, if you're not familiar, the person that
I've been dating for the past six months, we call
him Tom Brady because he didn't know who Tom Brady
was on our first date.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
That is a story for a different day.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Is moving into a new apartment and I offered up
my services to help them move and shift things around,
unpack et cetera. And the moving part itself really wasn't
that bad because he didn't own a lot of things.
It's the like you know who if I haven't introduced
you to Ruthie. That's my alter ego when it comes
to purging, cleaning, organizing, fin schwaning things. When I go
(01:25):
home to visit my dad and we clean out the garage,
we clean out the house. Remember I've I've shared that
story with you over the last couple of summers. That's
when Ruthie really shines. She comes out and I don't
control her. But I just know where things go. I
just know where things go and where they should go
versus where they shouldn't. And I didn't realize that not
(01:47):
everyone understood that. So maybe that's a story for a
different day. I'm offering up my organizing skills to anyone
that may need it for free. What I want to
talk about, though, is your roommates or neighbors. So while
unpacking the boxes, I'm sorry if my ADHD brain kind
of took us in a different way. I didn't get
much sleep last night because you again, I'm doing it again.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sir.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Here we go, so unpacking, moving, getting re acclimated and
introduced into a new building setting. You often come across
and meet the neighbors and I don't.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Know what it is.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
I don't know what it is about. Maybe my face
or his I don't know what. But people love to share,
and we don't really know each other that well, we
don't know each other very well, not well enough for
you to share your entire life story within the first
five minutes of us unloading boxes.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
What is that? Even people really need to get out
the house more. Take this as a reminder.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
If you work from home and you haven't left your
house in a couple of days, go get a coffee,
Go check your horoscope and get an iced coffee, and
sit down somewhere and talk to a stranger.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Practice that skill are an interesting thing, you know.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
And we had heard to the grape find that someone
else that lives in the building is very particular about
where you park your car and for how long you
leave your parked car in front of the entryway. And
in my head, I'm thinking, well, we're unloading boxes, couches, beds, mattresses,
things of that nature.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
It's gonna take a few minutes.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
But the neighbor was like, ah, I don't know, I
don't know, so why don't we do this? Five one three, seven,
four nine one oh seven one. You can also use
our talk back feature if that's easier more convenient for you.
What is your random roommate or neighbor story. What is
the first memory, the first core memory you have about
a new neighbor.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Sabrina Carpenter on Tip in the Morning.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
We're about two days, two sleeps away from getting a
brand new Sabrina album. I'll have that for you all
show long on New Music Friday.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
So don't go far.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
We're in the midst of talking about your roommate and
neighbor stories.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Good morning, you're on the air. We'll start with you.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
I hat when new neighbors decide to just randomly park
their jeloppies, whips, whatever in front of my house. I
paid good money to live here. I don't need your
junk in front of it. I got my own junk
if park in front.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Thank you. Wait, what did you call it? What was
the phrase that you used?
Speaker 3 (04:20):
They're jeloppi, they're whips bot in progress. Go take it
to AutoZone and get sick.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
What's your name? What's your name? What neighborhood are you in?
Speaker 3 (04:30):
I'm Sarah and I'm from the Chester.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Sarah, thank you so much for the call. It made
me giggle.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
The reason why we're even talking about roommates and neighbors,
et cetera. And I think I even mentioned this topic
maybe two weeks ago, but I'll be revisiting it because
September one is such a big moving date happening this weekend.
I figured there might be a chance I'm catching you
even packing up a few boxes of yourself. So you're
packing a few boxes yourself, not of yourself, not of yourself.
(04:58):
Oh my god, I'm short on sleep because I was
helping Tom Brady move yesterday, That's why. And we're chatting
about the first core memory that you have of a
new neighbor and why neighbors.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
I get it, I get it. I don't get it,
but I get a.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
Question I've been waiting for. So it's not a new neighbor.
I've been living in my house for almost seven years.
But he was a new neighbor at the time, and
he was super sweet. I had these zennas in my garden.
Your dad had them, so basically, what that means, they die,
you chop off the head, they come back to life.
Speaker 5 (05:35):
He did not know this.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
He saw that they were dead, and he decided to
dig them all out of my garden to help me out.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Oh no, thank you for the talk back with TIF
it's an alternative way to contribute to my show. The
microphones in the top right hand corner, and thank you
for your patients. Sometimes lack of sleep and ADHD do
not mix well for me, and when we do a
live radio show sometimes my brain takes me to weird place.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
That's bad. Oh my god, I feel bad. Like oopsies.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
We got time for a few more if you want
to contribute to the show in this chaos five one, three, seven, four, nine,
one oh seven one your first core memory of your
new neighbor.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
Ten you love me to my.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
All this time outlasted you alone. Hi, good morning. You're
waking up with Tim in the morning on Kiss one
O seven one.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Selfishly, I'm happy that school is back because we're getting
a lot more of our regular routine listeners back in
their routine, and so we're getting a lot more calls
and talkbacks, and I think it makes the show a
lot of fun. So I appreciate that we're in the
midst of chit chatting about your first core memory with
your new neighbor. September one is a very big move
(06:57):
in date. Good morning, you're on the air.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
Good morning, my first poor memory is my neighbor on
a public street was telling us that we couldn't park there.
We had the cops called a number of times because
we would work on a public street and they were
mad at us for parking in front of their house.
Tell them every time that we could park there, and
there was nothing that they could do about it.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
I am so sorry they had to go through this.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
It feels like parking is such a major issue for neighbors.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
It comes up a lot.
Speaker 5 (07:29):
It does. It definitely does, and we were at the peace, but.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
We have to be able to park well.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
You can remain anonymous if you want, but which neighborhood
are you in right now?
Speaker 5 (07:38):
I'm Ryan and I'm calling from Cincinnati.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Thank you for the call, Ryan, I appreciate you.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Girl.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
We're moving over to our talkbacks as well.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
So we have a neighbor growing up that he would
absolutely flip out if any of us kids did chalk
anywhere near his house, So we weren't allowed to do
chalk on the sidewalk in.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Front of his house.
Speaker 6 (08:00):
We were forced to go on the other side of
the street every time unless we wanted to battle the
old neighbor, Like, why why is this a big deal.
Speaker 7 (08:08):
We have a neighbor that lives behind us, so like
our backyards connect we know had a fence up, so
we had some privacy. One day, they just.
Speaker 8 (08:21):
Decided they were going to take our fence down because
it was blocking the sun and they didn't want their
plants and whatever else they were growing to not grow,
so they just.
Speaker 7 (08:34):
Took the fence down.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Okay, cool, cool, cool cool,
