Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning time kiss
what one?
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Good morning, good morning, Welcome back to Tip's Community Corner,
where I introduce you to the people, to places and
the neighbor the things that make up our neighborhoods, and
the uniqueness about Cincinnati and the Try State. When I
say that eighty percent of women think that they are
not enough? Does that resonate with you because it most
(00:23):
certainly did with me. I just learned that stat Well,
I am here to tell you that you are enough.
But if you don't believe me, let me get some
validation from two other people in our studio. I'm introducing
you to Julie Clayton, who is the executive director of
the OTR Chamber and a good friend of the show
Tara Osborne of Sincy Girls Who.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Good morning, ladies, Hello, good morning, good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
We're going to talk about a specific women event for
women called You Are Enough to Connect her Summit happening
in about a month at the hard Rock Casino. But
just quickly, Julie, I'm very familiar with OTR as a
gal that spends a lot of her time time solo
with girlfriends, with friends they bring in from out of town.
I mean, regardless of the news that you hear in Sincy,
(01:07):
I'm still a really big fan of OTR and I
spent a lot of time there. For those that don't
know about the OTR Chamber, can you just sum it
up for us real quick quick?
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Sure? So, the OTR Chamber, we're there to support local businesses.
We're there to support the small business owners and everything
that they do. Like I mentioned to you, you know,
small business owners wear a lot of hats. They're the
marketing director, they're the human resources director, they're the CFO,
they're this you know in OTR especially, you'll see those
people turning on the lights in the morning and turning
them off at night.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
And so we're there to support them, and we're there
to you know, help them along the way because they
can't wear all those hats, so we try to help
them with those, okay.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
And then there's an event.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Tara, you know, as the founder of Sincey Girls, who
I'm a big fan of it, You've partnered with the
OTR Chamber for this hard rock event.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Tell me a little bit about it.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
Yeah, we're we're partnering with the OTIER Chamber to really
bring our community into the fold here and give them
an option that is affordable, accessible. And I'm really located
so centrally in the city that hopefully we can get
a lot of girls.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
We want the gals. I want the galley.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
We want the galleys, Julie, what's going on at this
summit called You Are Enough?
Speaker 1 (02:18):
It's happening September thirtieth, Yes, ar rec Casino.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
So, first of all, because it is at hard Rock,
you do you have to be twenty one to attend, ok,
So that's that's a big point there. But it really
is just a full day of empowerment, motivation and all
of the fun stuff. I mean, it's truly a full day.
We have three dynamic keynote speakers, tra being one of them,
and then we have workshops throughout the day where you
(02:41):
actually get to pre pick your workshop so you know
that it's actually for you, so you're not going to
attend something that maybe here that's not a good fit
for you at that time.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
So lunch is included.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Of course, there's a swag bag, because there has to
be a swag bag, and we're going to have a
pre function area with vendors, all women owned businesses that
you know you can come and learn about, and then
afterwards there's networking, but it's truly just a full day
of you know, getting to know other women that are
you know, like minded, and really just you know, get
a little more motivation and inspiration.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
When I go to an event like this, sometimes I
don't know what I'm getting myself into. I like the
fact that I do know what I'm getting myself into
if I'm buying a ticket with this one, But it's
always nice to conversate with other like minded people. That's
where I find that I get the most out of
these things. Right, you chat, you maybe make a connection,
or if you don't leave with a single phone number
(03:34):
or Instagram handle, you at least know that there's someone
around you going through the same thing, and maybe you
feel inspired and you just we sometimes we live so
much in our heads. It's nice to get out of
the house and talk to other people. So that sounds
like a great event.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
We're really excited about it. It is September thirtieth, yea,
like we said, at harw Casino. It's from nine to
three and tickets are only ninety five dollars, which is
very affordable.
Speaker 4 (03:58):
Sure.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
We're super excited about that.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Sincey girls, who, when's your next walk? When's our next walk?
I should say, we have a great question.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
Uh, we have a walk coming up on next Saturday
with at Mount Echo. We're doing a crafting and walking,
so we're kind of hoping to make some friendship bracelets
if you're into a certain artist.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
That just came out and announced an album.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
And then at the end of the month, we do
have a walk with the OTR Chamber at Ziegler Parks,
so I'm really excited. We've never had a walk there
and we'll we'll be meeting there, so we'll share that
on our Instagram and our calendar on our website.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
And that's ours as well.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Sincey girls, who, Julie, if there's a I'm just so
happy to be catching a business owner that wants in
on the OTR Chamber.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
How do they do that? It's just OTR chamber dot com. Okay.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
All the information to become a member is on there,
as well as all the information about the event and
all the other events that we have going on throughout
the year.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Julie, Tara, thank you for joining Tiff in the morning.
Thank you
