Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Time, kiss good morning, and welcome back to Tipps Community Corner.
Maybe this is your first time come on in and
sit down, hang out. I introduce you to the people
that places in the things that make up our Cincinnati
neighborhoods and sid Cindy Dempsey, you got it, A vessel
collective started this really cool thing for my mom's out there.
Mom promt Sincy is next Friday, which we'll get to

(00:25):
you in a second.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
But is this the.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Time in your opinion as a mom, and is someone
that's worked a lot with moms, yes, is this the
time right now to start doing things for yourself.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
One hundred percent. I'm like, we have survived summer, moms,
And also this is that is for all women. I
want to throw that out there. Sure, but obviously I
was a mama that started this, so that's where it
all comes from. But yeah, this is the time. I'm like,
we just survived summer. Kids are going back to school,
It's time to celebrate us.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
I feel for so many of my mom friends, new
mom friends, seasoned mom friends, it's just like they keep
the world running, not even there, just their immediate world,
but the world around us.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
We're the glue or the magic makers. We do all
the things, and.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
It's often you have to correct me if I'm wrong
back burner when you want to grow and you have
to make excuses and you have to find the time,
and there's so many things.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Yes, And that's really why I started this is because
my girlfriend and I, Kaitla and I that started it.
It was we were just two moms trying to plan
a night out and it was like, I think June
when we came up with the idea where I think
I have a free weekend in like September or October,
like right, just with moms. Like the logistics of everything
is so hard.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Yeah, So Vessel Collective wants to come in and help
eliminate all that hassle of doing something for yourself, whether
that be a night out or starting a new project
or meeting community members that are maybe in the same
boat as you. I have an ADHD brain, so I
sort of jumped the gun a little bit. Why don't
you explain what Vessel Collective is just in case?

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Yeah. Yeah, So I started a vessel back in twenty
twenty three. I like to say that it's kind of
like my love letter to my postpartum and my own
motherhood journey. I had all three of my babies during COVID,
my oldest during the head of COVID, and it was
just the most isolating experience, and I found it so
hard to have that village and community that everybody talks

(02:19):
about that you need when you're raising kids. And yeah,
so it really inspired me to start a place where
women can come together and find a sense of community
and meet other like minded women that they can start
to call it part of their village and their friends
and build those relationships.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
So can I tell you something about your events that
I've witnessed and just being a part of your community
and social media. You found my show by you know,
on the radio, and you called me, and I knew
that there was a good vibe between us right away
and what I like about And I'm not a mom
at this point in my life, but there's this thread
of like humor, kind of a little bit like bad

(02:59):
Mom's colle a little bit one percent.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Our Christmas event last year was actually a bad Mom's night. Okay,
So yeah, I'm like, we like to have fun, you know,
we can talk about the nitty gritty, the serious thing,
like we like to have.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
A good time and I'm such a big woo wu
person myself, and maybe sometimes you come across that type
of event with vessel. But from my other moms that
are looking for some dabs, yeah dabms, this is a
good place to go, so a good community vessel collective
on social Now mom prompts, sincey I'll be hosting it
Friday the twenty second, Where are we going? What are

(03:35):
we doing?

Speaker 1 (03:36):
So this year we are going to be at Hostel Comington.
We are so grateful. The beautiful Donna Salliers actually donated
the venue this year to us, which is amazing. We're
gonna be in the LIGHTWELB Ballroom, so the north newest
part of the hotel, the north end. But yeah, we're
gonna have an enchanted disco this year. That's our theme.
So it is going to be if you've been in

(03:58):
the past, it's gonna have a totally different vibe this year.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Okay, yeah, yeah, formerly at Mohave East, we'll be cool
to check out a new location. Heads up, the Hannafords
has an amazing happy hour diagonal from that event. If
you're looking to get out a little bit earlier. There's
one other thing I wanted to mention that I'm coming out.
My guy Lou from Cincinnati Mini is a big sponsor.
And yeah, I mean when you see Cincinnati Mini parked

(04:22):
out front, I want you to.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Think, yes, we will have an awesome Mini out front
decked out. You will not be able to miss the entrance.
I mean, shout out to Christ's Hospital. Wimburg Landscaping is
our title sponsor this year. That'stor All Roofing. We have
so many incredible businesses that are supporting us this year.
We're just so grateful.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Okay, one more time. How do I get tickets? I
don't even think I mentioned it.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Yeah, so you can go on social media, you can
go to mom prom Sincy, or you can go to
Vessel Collective Sincy and the link is in both of
our bios. Or head over to event. Right. We only
have like ten tickets left and we have one VIP
table which seats ten, so if you have a group,
it's a great option. Okay, but yeah, we've sold off
the last two years, so get them now if you

(05:04):
want them.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Cindy, you and I both know that we might catch
someone live when we're doing this interview. Right. If that's
the case, text someone in your life that's a mom
and be like, hey, don't know, here's the link. You
might like it. Yes, if you're a mom listening right
now and it feels overwhelming to have to commit to
something and you're like, ah, don't worry about it. If
it's not this time, make it the next. But just

(05:26):
know that Cindy's here with Vessel Collective. We're here and.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Yes, and if you can't make it some mom prom
Vessel always has events going on throughout the year, so
head over there and check us out on Instagram. Okay,
thanks gal, Yeah, thank you,
