Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning time Kiss
what un one? How many days are left of school teachers?
Speaker 2 (00:06):
How many it might even be none you might have
already wrapped.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
We're celebrating you.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Today this morning on the show by highlighting one teacher,
specifically here in this instance, but just in general. Two
of my best friends are teachers as well, and I
love hearing their stories.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
And you're doing the Lord's work for sure.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Welcome to Tips Community Corner, where we highlight the people,
the places, and the things that make up our Cincinnati neighborhoods.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
And earlier this year, we.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Had asked students to nominate the most impactful teacher in
their lives on our website and callen if you're listening
in Union, Kentucky. This morning nominated a teacher of hers
named Miss Morgan, who started a program called Thankful Thriving Thursday. Now,
if you're a visual person like myself, like get it.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
The video is at Kiss one.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Oh seven, and it's also in my stories at the
tiff t F's Potter like the Wizard. You'll have to
tap through the end of the weekend recap to see it,
but as soon as it's there, you'll as soon as
you get there, you'll know what I'm talking about. As
I play you this video, try your best to put
yourself back in the shoes of someone that is getting
ready to leave the fifth grade to go into the
(01:22):
sixth grade, into a brand new school. It's teachers like
Ms Morgan and her Thankful Thriving Thursday program that helped
kids prepare to become something called positive influencers. You know
we're all training an influencer in social but what about
an influencer irl at school around the people you know
with kindness and positivity.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
So I'll play it and then.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
We'll go Thankfull and Thriving Thursday originated in a second
grade classroom. It is a place where students learn about
others through their storytelling and questions and answers, and they
become engaged in showing positive engagement with one another and
building relationships and helping one another be their best world.
(02:06):
But it is inside you to be a positive influence.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
One O seven one asks for your most Impactful Teacher
nominations at the end of the year and Callen nominated
Miss Morgan because of her program.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Oh Thankful in Driving is showing others how you be
your best every day with a heart of gratitude and
persevering to be your best. And it's made me think
more positively and show more respect to people.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
And although that feeling.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Of leaving school, going from the fifth grade to the
sixth grade is one of like a it's a core
building block, it's a core memory for a kid, that
one that you might not be able to draw from,
like directly if you're far removed from it. But it's
like one of the first bigger transitions that you would
have made in your life, right and you kind of forget.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
The people that helped you do it because you're in.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
It right outside of your parents and your family and
your inner circle. It's the teachers, it's the school system
that helps you prepare for that. And so miss Morgan
started that program, like I said, called Thankful Thriving Thursday,
which she told me a little bit more about it.
It helps breed connection and conversation amongst students. Started with
a little boy named Jacob who had I think diabetes
(03:16):
at the time, and he felt different and didn't really
know how to speak about it, didn't know how to
process the emotion, didn't know just didn't develop those skills
and so she's like, well, let's talk about it as
a classroom and the kids were able to ask questions
and ultimately become more connected and just have a better
view of the people around them, which what a damn
skill that is, right, So shout out to Man Elementary.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
We went there last week.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
We delivered some hot head burritos, guilty windows, help hook
up miss Morgan with some cash. And I thank you,
you know, if you're a teacher right now and I
didn't get a chance to, you know, showcase you and
TIFF's Community Corner, This doesn't mean I can't in the future.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
But I'm also speaking to you directly as well. Thank
you for your hard work and such.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
So if you would like to nominate someone somewhere something
to be a part of TIFF's Community Corner, all you
have to do is shoot me a DM. You know,
I find myself in the most unique and interesting circumstances
sometimes and that is all because of you.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
So there we go.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Like I said, if you're a visual person at the
Tiff to F's potter like the wizard teacher is the
keyword you're gonna need for the James Arthur tickets coming
