Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with TIF in the morning on KI.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Hi, Good morning, It's Tuesday, which means relationships and therapy
kind of intersect on my show, Good Morning, Lori Sharpage,
Good morning. She's our licensed clinical counselor. We're going to
dive into the trending nobody wants this show on Netflix
coming up here in a few minutes, but first I
have to give my full review on the Joker movie.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
So Showcase Cinema is a sponsor of my show. They're
a family of mine, Like they're literally like family. They
essentially I feel like saved my life when I was
going through my breakup because I just went to Showcase
Cinema every weekend.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
I was crying every day.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
But nonetheless, she said the marketing girl, Thelyssa, She said, Hey,
do you want to come to our premiere of the
Joker Movie? And I said absolutely. It comes out on Friday.
And when I left that movie theater at ten o'clock
last night, I said, how am I supposed to give
an honest review to Cincy knowing that they're gonna hate
me for this interesting So.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
I'm gonna make three points.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
The first one is is this movie is very much
a musical, and you need to know that going into it,
and I didn't.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Really learn that until.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
I sat down in my chair. Now, i'd assume there'd
be some songs because of Lady Gaga, obviously right, and
it followed. It does not like a lay Miz musical
where the entire thing is music, but it will go
major scene than song, major scene than song.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
So if you did not know that, now you know.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Second point, this movie doesn't have the typical plot line
of the superhero movies that were used to seeing. It
doesn't follow like a Batman or even the previous Joker.
And I don't know what else to say more than that.
And I think that that part of the movie was
(01:47):
or is important to me, and it led me to
kind of be like, I don't think I'd ever see
this again because of it. So it does not follow
a typical plot structure. That's kind of like the only
way I can say it without giving anything away. Third point,
And I bet you could expect this. The acting was amazing,
Lady Gaga, Joaquin Phoenix killed it.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
The visuals are great on it. But yeah, it comes
out this Friday. Interesting, I'm intrigued.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Mmm, I'm like just gonna hate me for this, all right,
We're commercial free. Best way to stay locked into the
shows on iHeartRadio when you search kiss one oh seven
one coming up two songs from now.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Nobody wants this the biggest show on Netflix.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
There's one part in there that speaks deeply to relationships,
so we'll talk about that next
