Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning, Hunt Kiss,
good morning. You saw the headline yesterday and I just
talked about it in Three Things You need to know
that Bill Belichick and Jordan Hudson are rumored to be engaged.
And I found it interesting because I think a lot
of Cincinnatians will have an opinion on that for many reasons,

(00:23):
but one of them because it spans such a big
age gap. So anyone that's been married from who knows,
early twenties up to their mid seventies is going to
have a take. And so that's the topic of this
morning's hour. If you were to offer a single piece
of advice for someone who is getting married at the
age of twenty four, what would your piece of advice be.

(00:48):
Jordan Hudson's twenty four. Bill Belichick is seventy four.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yes, Shawn, get married in your twenties. You have so
much more life to live. Just live your life has done.
Explore adventures or meet new people. Just have fun, enjoy it.
I got married in my twenties. I regret it.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Okay, well you didn't. You left me a little hay
hang in there a little bit, gal, Unlike, are you
still married or you divorced. Either way, thank you for
the talkback with Tiff. You'll see the microphone in the
top right hand corner of the iHeartRadio app. It's just
an alternative way to contribute to the show. I also
love hearing your voice as well if you call me ooh,

(01:29):
knowing what I know now at the age of thirty five,
in the way in which my life worked out, I
don't think I would have been the best candidate to
get married in my younger twenties. Although I was very
much in love during the majority of my twenties, even
into my early early thirties, it just never ended up
in us getting married. And it ended for you know,

(01:52):
reasons that the just light you know, we grew in
separate directions. Essentially, we wanted different things in life, and
it was a gift from the universe to me at
least to be able to have to be able to
have you know, I'm rambling. I'm rambling as I try
to put my thoughts together. It was a gift from
the universe for me. But I don't necessarily know if

(02:13):
all of Cincinnati is going to agree with the fact
that you should get married at the age of twenty four.
So here's what I did during songs. I ran out
to our seven hundred WLW newsroom and I got the
take of some of the guys in there. Brian Combs
was married at the age of twenty five, and he's
still married to this day, like three decades later. On
the younger side, Rick Uchino got married right around twenty

(02:37):
six ish, and then Seg Dennison. If these are names
that sound familiar to you over at our sister station,
he didn't get married until his like mid to late thirties,
and so each one of them had a different take
on it. So here's what I ask you this morning.
My take is getting married early was not the right
fit for me. I guess this is a situation where

(02:57):
hindsight's going to be twenty twenty in the future, whatever
brings by. If you were to offer Jordan Hudson or
maybe someone else listening a piece of advice about marriage
and when to do it, when to not to do it,
what's your take on it? Five one, three, seven, four
nine one oh seven one. Let's see what we can get.
Let's imagine that Jordan Hudson is listening to Tiff in
the morning, right now, what would you tell her or

(03:19):
what would you tell your younger self? Hi, good morning,
you're waking up with Tiff in the morning on Kiss
on OH seven one. Thanks for stopping by the show.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Good morning, how are you?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
I'm excellent, Mi Gal. It's good to hear your voice
this morning. Thanks for calling the show.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Yeah, so you're asking about advice before getting married at
twenty four?

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Is all right?

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yep? What do you have for me?

Speaker 3 (03:42):
I was married at twenty two. I was with my
now husband since I was seventeen. I am still very
happily married. I have two beautiful girls, and I have
the energy to do all the thing. You know, we're
both chasing after toddlers, and in my forties, I'm going

(04:04):
to have my whole life to live. You know, I
don't want to be fifty sixty seventy having kids. You know,
such a break, I think, go for it.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
That's such a great take. What's your name? What neighborhood
are you calling me from?

Speaker 3 (04:19):
This is Abby and I'm calling from Hamilton Ahead.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Abby, thank you so much for sharing that. I'm really
glad that you gave perspective because I think that you are,
amongst many other tri staters who did the same thing
and are very happy, and there's just I figured there's
going to be a lot of opinions on this because
it spanned such a big age gap, right, you're talking
twenties to seventies. So thank you for the advice. Thank you.

(04:44):
If you're just walking into the conversation, you know, the
headline yesterday about Jordan Hudson and Bill Belichick getting married
is you know, swirling and they're so you read through
the comments and there are so many opinions that people
have because it spans that age you know, huge gay
yeah gate. Wow, I am short circuiting. So if you

(05:06):
were to offer a single piece of advice to someone
who is twenty four years old Jordan, Let's say Jordan
is listening to my show right now, what would you
tell her? Check your doctor.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Oldest thing I've ever done. I cornered my husband in
a garage before he was my husband. We were working
together and it was like starting to get weird, and
I basically was like, do you want to date or
do you not? Because this is like getting weird, And
we started dating and now we're married.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
That's a great story. You didn't tell me at what age,
but I do appreciate the story.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
That my brother doesn't get married. I'm hoping that his
fiance will break up with him. He's I feel like
he's a gold sticker, and you know, my brother has
worked really, really hard for his money, and I just
feel like he's trying to take advantage of my brother.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Okay, varying opinions, whatever the case may be, I hope
that whatever version of you is walking through life right
now feels Authense Dick to you. And if marriage feels
great at the age of twenty four, great. If it
doesn't and you're more like me at thirty five, then

(06:11):
I'm right alongside you.
