Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning. Kiss. You
know that gut feeling that you get when you have
to cancel on someone? Am I the only one that
experiences that, Sarah?

Speaker 2 (00:12):
I get anxiety over it, But I is that I
love when someone cancels on me.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
I go right back to bed with my dog. It's fine.
My favorite thing when someone canceling.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
It's kind of like I hate buying gift cards for people,
but give I love when I get them as a gift.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
And so why why do we hate canceling? I have
this heavy level of guilt attached to this right now. Yeah,
as a debrief for you, I'm supposed to get on
a flight tomorrow. This is gonna be kind of a
wild story. I'm supposed to get on a flight tomorrow
morning at six am to go back to Boston for
a family reunion. If you can believe it, My brothers

(00:50):
are meeting or we're supposed to meet for the very
first time ever this weekend. Oh one is in their forties,
one is in their twenties. And if you're curious as
to like how the hell this even came about, we
have different moms. We have eyelied, we have different dads,
we all have the same mom. This is exciting and
this is a big deal for me. When the finance
guy and I split, I wanted to make a point

(01:12):
to really connect with my own family, kind of come
from a broken home. I've shared this a little bit.
You know, my mom and I are close. She lives
in Florida. She has a couple of other kids that
she is not close with. And I think blended families
are a whole millennial thing, right, which millennial family isn't blended? Actually,
yours isn't.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Your's is a traditionality, normal West Side family.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
So my brother Maxwell's birthday today, by the way, he's
turning twenty seven. And my brother is in his and
he lives in Atlanta. And my brother Gregory is in
his forties, he lives in Massachusetts. That's like a very
baseline of the story. They've never met. So I was
flying in to facilitate like a big family reunion that
I planned that I paid a ticket for. Like I'm

(01:55):
literally supposed to get on this flight tomorrow. Yeah, and
I have to cancel. Why I'm not well, Like I know,
I sound okay on the air, and I'm coming in
and I'm doing my job, but I'm like internally bleeding
right now. Oh no, doctors cannot figure it out. And
this has been happening for almost three weeks, guys, like

(02:17):
more so in the last eight nine days. I don't know.
I've gone to three different doctors. I've gotten two different tests,
and I'm just not good.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
And you know it's serious because you've been talking about
this trip for months now, and I know you've been
excited for it, and I know this is supposed to
be a big weekend for you.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
I'm so sorry that you have to do this, because
I genuinely I know that you want to you want
to be there.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
I have not hit cancel on the Delta flight yet,
and like, I'm trying to trust my gut, but my
gut is broken right now, literally broken at the moment. Yeah,
So I don't know. I don't know what to do.
Like it it's it's broken, and I just I'm at
this point where like do I hit cancel on this

(03:08):
trip or do I go on the trip? Hmmm, that's tough.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
I don't even if flight is short, flight short, It's
just I'm gonna be I want to see my two
brothers get together, but I'm like nervous because of how
I'm not feeling, and like I need to be kind
of close to a home.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
If you're picking up what I'm putting down, if it's
a stomach.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Thing, can you let them know in advance, like, oh, yeah,
y know, I'm dealing with something. I want to be
there for you guys, but if I ditch quick on something,
just know that this is what's going on.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
I'm just not going to be in my home. I'm
going to be in a hotel and like it's just
not good. And so I haven't hit cancel on the
trip yet because you know that feeling of like what
it's like to cancel on someone. Both of my brothers like, Tiff,
you need to manage your health. It's okay, like there'll
be another time for this, but I just can't bring
myself to do it. And I don't know what to do.
Do I cancel the trip and focus on my health

(04:00):
or my mental health, or do I like go through
with this like really big thing that we planned that's
also really important to me, even though I might run
into a couple of emergencies and I'm just like not
at my best, like, do I go one on my
best or I just go to go to be there
five one three seven four nine one o seven one.
Thank you for your help. I'm just I'm not okay.

(04:22):
Good morning. If you came to give advice, I really
appreciate that. If you came for the tickets, I also
understand that the keyword for that, I think was family
for the Avri Lavine tickets. In a few minutes, high
you're on the air, Thanks for waking up with tip
in the morning.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
How are you.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
I'm okay at the moment. At the moment, it's a
little dicey comes and goes, yeah, I'm so sorry.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
I know what that's like to have GI issues. It
is scary, it is no fun, and like you said,
it's not ideal. When you're not near a home, the
only thing that comes to mind is one like this
is such a big deal, and I can hear in
your voice that you want to go.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
So bad and I want this for you.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
You ann Boston has killer hospitals, like really top notch.
It'd be different if you're going to like Louisiana to
to your family. But part of me thinks, like you know,
since you're going to be in such a Roebuck area
in terms of medical care and like your family, you know,
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
I feel like if I were you, I would take some.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Modal and I'd get on that plane. Okay, that's one,
get on the plane. I appreciate you. What's your name?
What neighborhood you wakeing up with me?

Speaker 5 (05:26):
And my name is sam I'm in Mason, Ohio.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Thanks for caring, girl. I appreciate you. Seriously, though, Hi,
you're on the air. We got time for another girl.
You have to listen to your body.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
I've been in this situation before and I've gone and
stayed back.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
And I do regret going it, and it's de pittance,
but I just feel like you need to listen to
your body at this point and do what's right for
you and your brothers will understand.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
What's your name? What neighbor are you calling me from?
I'm Sammy's from the east Side, Sammy. Thanks so much
for caring. I appreciate you, gal. You're welcome, girl. I'll
be thinking about you. Thank you, Thank you all right,
thank you so much for holding go ahead. What are
your thoughts quick quick for me?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
I think you should stay home because you're very sick
and it's something should go down. You need to be
where your doctors know you. You go out of town, these
doctors don't know you. Something kind of goes off and
then eh so and then this sounds like an important
trip that I would want to be there, and I
would want to be healthy because I want to show
my brotus what it's about to be family together, because

(06:25):
we ain't got much time left.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Man, Well, thank you so much for the call. I
appreciate you. I'm so torn on whether or not to
cancel this delta flight. Thanks for taking the time. Give
me three minutes, then I'm going to get you to
aver Levine tickets. You're waking up with FIfF in the
morning on Kiss one O seven to one. He was
definitely a skater boy, and she said see you later. Boy.

see aver Levine? I think is it June second, June
eighth's in June first? First the chunk of the I'm
not well. I'm not well, so my brain's having a
hard time functioning with my mouth. Just start dialing. If
you have the keyword, you want to go see ave Lvine?

(07:10):
walking into the show for the very first time, I
had said that I had planned this family reunion for
my two brothers, my two half brothers to meet for
the very first time. It's a wild thing to think about,
but I know I can't be alone in having, you know,
a unique dynamic for a family, right My brother is
younger lives. I grew up in Florida. My older brother

(07:33):
grew up in Massachusetts, where I'm from, and they've never met.
And I'm supposed to go to Boston. In fact, I'm
supposed to get on this flight tomorrow, but I'm not
feeling well to the point where I've gone and saw
see three doctors and I'm just like a part of
the reason why I'm having a hard time doing the show,
although I sound okay, is my brain is just having
a hard time functioning. I'm down to like eating one

(07:54):
meal a day. It's not very good. So everyone has
felt this feeling, though not the one I'm going through,
hopefully not, but like that horrible feeling of having to
cancel something that you really want to go to or
be a part of That's what I'm struggling with so
bad right now, and whether or not I hit cancel
on this delta flight for tomorrow morning or go and
support my family. I don't know what to do. Bro

(08:17):
say home. I have nobody's medical doctor, but I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
That flying is bad man, when you have a leading problem.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
If I'm not mistaken, you could go ahead and hemorrhage.
So bir, this should not be a question. I'm obsessed.
Thank you for the talk back with TI. If we
needed a last we needed that. The microphone is in
the top right hand corner of the air heard app.
If you want to contribute, you sound like my mom.
You know how moms do it. Mom My mom has

(08:48):
called and texted me like four times and been like,
well have you have you thought about colon cancer? Have
you thought about colon cancer? I'm like, Mom, you're not
helping anyways. I've got one more of a fall.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
One.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
You want to go be skater boy, you want to
go to avri Levine this summer? Five win three seven
