Speaker 1 (00:01):
When you need to know, she's got you. It's three
things with tip on kiss. When I was seven one,
she wanted to save.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Young men, just like the one who took his life.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
That young man, I forgive him.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Good morning. That's the voice of Erica Kirk.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Gave me a hot sec We're just before seven o'clock
on the twenty second of September. Sixty six degrees today,
I high in the seventies, and then throughout the week
we have scattered rain chances pretty much every day kind
of depends on where you are and what time. All right,
So the funeral for Charlie Kirk was yesterday at State
Farm Stadium in Arizona. Tens of thousands of people showed

(00:45):
up for it. I'm not surprised on that, including President
Donald Trump and Vice President jd Vance. You heard her
offering forgiveness to twenty two year old Tyler Robinson. It
seems very much like she is a faith based woman
and very much leaning into.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
That right now.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
If there's anything more on that, I'll have it for you. Second,
in three things you need to know, I wish that
I was able to pivot to bigger and better news,
and I guess we will have some here in a
hot second. But let's hear from coach ZT on yesterday's
really sad loss to the Vikings.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
We gave him, pointed sure about and so the crowd
didn't cause turnovers. The crowd didn't do any of that.
We just didn't perform well enough to be able.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
To win the game.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Yeah, speaking of turnovers here he is talking about that.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
We got to do a better job take care of
the football. That's what I walk away from this game.
Four turnovers in the first half, five in the game,
another one on the ground. That's all I'm going to
be able to think about for the next next twenty
four hours. And we got to get a fixed.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Yeah you heard him there, Five turnovers, one pick six,
one fumble recovery, and that was just a tough one.
I think ten forty eight to ten. We play the
Monday night game eight ten next week. What's who we
plan against the Broncos, you know, Cincinnatians.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
We trade out.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
I guess the bad for the good and the good
for the bad when it comes to our sports teams.
Congratulations to the Reds. Bigger and better news on that
after sweeping the Chicago Cubs in four games. They now
maintain a five game win streak, and if the season
were to end today, we would clinch that final wildcard spot.

(02:24):
Both teams now stand at eighty and seventy six. We
essentially need to continue to match what they do. As
long as we keep winning, we would get the tiebreaker
over the Mets because we've won more games than them.
So they're off and then they play at home I
believe on Tuesday. We only have a couple of games
left in the season.

Speaker 6 (02:42):
All right.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
And then lastly, and three things you need to know
this morning. Our iHeartRadio Music Festival was on Friday and
Saturday night. If you didn't catch it live here on Kiss,
here's Mariah Carey.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Definitely so good.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
There were so many other performances.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
If you haven't seen our instagram at Kiss one oh seven,
we'll have more on that throughout the show and it
will live. It will air rather live on Hulu October second,
so if you missed it, you can relive the mandic. Okay,
that is three things you need to know over the
twenty second of September.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Coming up, we're commercial free.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Good morning if you're waking up in the morning, Kiss, good.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
Morning, it's chit chat roulette. On Monday, Sarah at least
from w EBN and a good friend of the show
comes in. We put five minutes on the clock and
run through the biggest things that happened in Cinci and
beyond through the weekend, so that we're all caught up
and ready to go on.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
A Monday minus five minutes.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
I had the Sunday Scaries hard last night. Girl, I
was not okay after seven hundred and eighty five october
Fest beers this weekend.

Speaker 7 (03:51):
Oh and it was a hot one out there too.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
It so I left you. We have to debrief the
running of the Wheeneners.

Speaker 7 (03:58):
Congrats to Moofs.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
He was cute.

Speaker 7 (04:02):
Back to back winner too.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
Yeah, I think more than one year. I think it
was three at least three years.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
In a row.

Speaker 7 (04:08):
Maybe cannot be stopped.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
I left you maybe twelve thirty one o'clock on Friday.
I didn't go home until maybe seven or eight o'clock
that Oh, girl, the beers were flowing.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
They were delicious, but they were good. So we hosted
the Running of the Weens.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Did you get any ween picks in the dms like
you had requested?

Speaker 3 (04:30):
I didn't get a single wien pick in the DM.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
That was the only acceptable time to send us awai
accepting weeks. That was so fun to see the running
of the Wieners and so cute. I think I've been
at that event ten or twelve different times. Never hosted
it before, big moment and how fun?

Speaker 4 (04:49):
Did you know that WLWT like streamed it live? Oh yeah,
I didn't know that. Sarah and we were out there
left and right, just wean joking all over the place.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Imagine said at your desk, what is wrong with these two?

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Over a one hundred weans competed, but one winning ween.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
A couple of naked weens too.

Speaker 7 (05:10):
I know a couple of them lost their buns. No,
I hate you see that happened, But yeah it was.
It was a hot weekend. It was awesome at october Fest.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Did you go more than once? Or Juice to Friday?

Speaker 7 (05:18):
I was also there on Saturday night after the Reds won.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
How was it a vibe? I went?

Speaker 4 (05:24):
I too did a Saturday and I can't believe we
didn't run into each other. It's one of those events
where you just run into everyone you know it at
random places.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Random times, and you're like, oh, I didn't know you
were going.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
To be here, but also so packed too. It was
it was good. Saturday night was busy. The lines for
the food were long. That's how you could tell you're
having a good to Octoberfest.

Speaker 6 (05:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
I didn't get the food, got a couple beverages, didn't
get a chance to go. On Sunday, I was watching
our Cincinnati Bengals and our Cincinnati Reds. So Magan the
headlines this morning. Where do you want to take us
Reds or Bengals? Our Reds have a better chance here
to make the city happy.

Speaker 7 (06:00):
So that's where we're at.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
We have to win every game now, not necessarily every game,
but they do hold the wild card spot over the Mets,
so they grabbed that yesterday. They swept the Cubs over
the weekend, but they ideally just need to keep winning
and have a better track record this week than the
Mets to hold onto that spot. So three wild card

(06:21):
spots for the NL and the AL, and we grabbed
one of them yesterday.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
All right, we just keep hope alive. What happened on
So I didn't watch a single snap of football.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
So I shut it off at halftime, and I've not
done that in years and I switched over to the Reds.
I switched over to the Reds. Yeah you stand by
that two minutes oh no regrets. Yeah, it was a
franchise record. It was a franchise day for the Bengals historically.

Speaker 7 (06:45):
Airible forty eight to ten.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Was the final against the Vikings and Jake Browning was
all over the place, struggled. Everything looked bad. But is
hope alive for you? And that you're good?

Speaker 6 (06:55):
Right?

Speaker 2 (06:55):
I think I need to see another game. Okay, I
need to see another game or two. But yeah, yesterday
was pretty messy. But yeah, pack the park this week
for Arson Sundi.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Reds Octoberfest in I think it is happening in Germany
as right now in Munich.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
And Drake went. Really yeah, Drake went october Fest.

Speaker 7 (07:13):
Was he a part of Winner dog Racing?

Speaker 3 (07:15):
I don't know. I'd love to see his Wiener dog race,
I truly would. I would love that. No, I'd just
saw him there.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
Harry Styles raced a marathon over the weekend and did
sub three Wow.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yeah yeah, damn that's like a most Olympic pace.

Speaker 7 (07:30):
That's pretty good. That's around the six something pace. Good
for him?

Speaker 3 (07:35):
What about Taylor Swift.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Yeah, so if you're not seeing Taylor Swift at these
Chiefs games, it's not because they are losing.

Speaker 7 (07:42):
I mean, granted they won last night, but.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
It's because she's got a crazy stalker out there. So
that wall that you saw last weekend, that was actually
a bulletproof wall.

Speaker 7 (07:51):
They're trying to keep her safe.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
So I think right now she's trying to stay out
the public eye until they capture this stalker.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
Okay, and then we've got the album I'm released coming
here in a couple of weeks. We're going to do
a full marathon with High Ball Sincy, so I'm more
on that later, but we're getting close to that.

Speaker 7 (08:06):
And just got a movie coming out too.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
Yep, I'll have more of that than three things at
seven point fifty. You typically every day you go home
to your house in Kentucky because that's where you live.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
But yeah, this week, what are you doing?

Speaker 7 (08:20):
I am struggling.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
If I sound like I'm not in a good mood
or I'm struggling, it's not because of the Bengals. It's
because I am house sitting and watching dogs and these
dogs do not let me sleep, and I am way
up north.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Who are you house sitting before my parents? So here's
the thing.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
I don't have family here, so I don't have I'm
not a tie to any obligations when it comes to family.
They ask you to do this every single time they
go on vacation, and you hate it.

Speaker 7 (08:46):
I hate it. And I'm the only person.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
That they trust with these dogs, and they're a nightmare.

Speaker 7 (08:50):
Oh awful. They do not let me sleep.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
I mean, I know that you get maybe a little
bit of cash from your dad, which is nice, But
do you do you feel obligated, like, can you say no?

Speaker 3 (09:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (09:01):
I do I feel obligated to say yes?

Speaker 2 (09:03):
And I feel like if I do say no, I
don't want them to feel like they can't travel or
that they don't know what to do with the dogs.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Yeah, I don't have family here, so I don't run
up against that. Here's what I want to do. I
five one, three, seven, four nine one seven to one.
When is the last time that your family asked you
to do something? Babysitting dogs for seven to ten days
in a row feels like a lot to me.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
So we'll get to that next.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
And by the way, I have a chance for you
to win Land of Illusion Passes. Good morning, you're waking
up with Tip in the morning on a kiss one
O seven one coming up in a few minutes, I
have your chance to win Land of Illusion Passes. Today
is the first official day of fall, so I wanted
to be able to get you in there. In the meantime,
we're chit chatting about your pet sitting stories.

Speaker 8 (09:47):
These two parakeets, and they said, well, you know, you
should like put your hand in take them out a
little bit. Every so often, you know, a couple every
couple of days, like let them know you're here, talk
to them. So I opened the cage and one of
them flew out into the front yard up the tree.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
You got cut off there a little bit. Thank you
for the talk back with Tip.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
Microphone's in the top right hand corner of the iHeartRadio app.
If you too want to contribute your stories this morning.
The reason why we're talking about this. If you're just
filtering into the show for the first time. Today, Sarah
Elisee was on with us a couple of minutes to
go for chit chat roulette. She goes, oh, I have
to babysit my parents' dogs for ten days. She used

(10:35):
to live at her parents' house for ten days. And
they're up in like, you know, Mason area, and she
lives in Florence, so it's like pretty far away. And
I was like, man, I don't know about pet sitting
someone's dog for ten days.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Never mind the bird. I'm not the one for the bird.

Speaker 9 (10:54):
Yes, so I was watching my brother in law's dog. My,
I'm gonna blame my wife. She put the I wasn't
paying attention instead of putting the lesha on where she
should she put it on too, Like the little part
of the collar that has the name tag on it, Yep,
I didn't even know that it was on the name thing.

Speaker 7 (11:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (11:11):
Then three days later when they pick them up the cistern,
laws like, where where's his name collar thing? And then
we spent the next two days trying to find it
on the street.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
No at that point, not good.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
No, at that point, we're just going to Amazon dot
com and getting a new one. Stories about pet sitting
feel free to share. And you know what, while we're here,
if you want the Land of Illusion passes, let's just
do it right now. Five win three seven four nine
one O seven one collar ten.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
If you want to get in. They're all yours. You
don't even need a keyword. We're making it easy on you.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
On a Monday five win, three seven four nine one
O seven one.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
Good luck. In the meantime, we're still commercial free.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning on one
O seven to one.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Good morning on this very first day of fall. Officially
you are a call number ten. I'm sending you a
land of illusion. Thank you, You're welcome. Are you awake
and alive and well on this Monday?

Speaker 10 (12:04):
I am.

Speaker 8 (12:04):
I'm actually going to live.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
I started go out an hour ago. Okay, I hope,
but maybe a lot of trips to the airport, yes,
from October Seth and the game.

Speaker 7 (12:14):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
Did you participate in any of those things or did
you drive people around?

Speaker 3 (12:19):
You think a lot for october Fest this weekend.

Speaker 7 (12:22):
I was so back and forth for October Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Yeah, it was busy down there, busy.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
And I'm sure you'll be picking up some Bengals fans
this morning that are in morning.

Speaker 6 (12:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Yeah, Well, what's your name? What neighborhood are you in
at this current moment?

Speaker 6 (12:36):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (12:37):
And a jasmine. Thank you for listening to Tiff in
the morning while you drive around in your lift. Thank you.
You are so welcome.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
If you took an l on the LOI tickets, I'll
get you in every day this week around seven thirty.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Oh ken, okay, coming up three minutes from now.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
Reds are keeping hope alive for Cincinnatians.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
I'll have that and more than three things you need
to know.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with tip on kiss when I was seven.

Speaker 11 (13:21):
Means that Tuesday will be really fun. That we've earned
the right to enjoy the competition, and that's I think
that's the best way.

Speaker 10 (13:32):
To look at it.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
And I agree that was Tito on the Reds win
give me a hot site.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
We'll get to that here in just a minute.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
We're just before eight o'clock on the twenty second of September,
the first official day of fall here is underway. Temperatures
are going to be in the sixties right now, eventually
in the seventies, but we could see some scattered rain
pretty much every day this week, depends on time of
day and where you are. All right, let's start off
with the Reds. Let's start off with the good before
we get to the bad.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
I would agree.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
Right, So, as of right now, if the Reds were
to end their season, we would officially have a spot
in the playoffs. Now so I think a little too
early to get that excited, but it really depends on
what the Mets do. After sweeping the Chicago Cubs in
the four game series this weekend, we now have not
only a five game win streak which includes that sweep,

(14:21):
but both teams stand at eighty and seventy six. So
because the Reds won the majority of their games against
the Mets this season, the Reds would advance over the
Mets if there were a tiebreaker scenario.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
We just need to keep on winning. They are off at.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
The moment, and then I think we played the Pirates
at six point forty tomorrow at home.

Speaker 7 (14:43):
All right.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
Second, and three things you need to know this morning.
A little rough for the Bengals yesterday. Yeah, here's coach
zech Taylor on it.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
The Bengals suffering their worst law. Oh no, I live.

Speaker 4 (14:57):
That was my guy from seven hundred ww SEG here's Taylor.

Speaker 5 (15:02):
It's tough to come back from that. And so it's
as simple as that. I'm not saying there's not a
lot we need to clean up in all phases. But
that made the game really ugly and it was hard
to come back from. And again, we just need to
fundamentally clean some stuff up, be better with their ball security.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
And we're pivoting I guess five turnovers, one pick six,
one fumble recovery. Our next game is Monday night against
the Broncos. All right, then, lastly, and three things you
need to know this morning. Taylor Swift is about thirteen
days out from her album release party and her album
in general, her thirteenth album. She's talking about what are

(15:40):
some of the new features that are coming here here.

Speaker 10 (15:42):
She is the CDs all have photo cards in them.
The vinyls they have they each have a poem inside
of them, a unique poem. They've got like more images
than we ever planned to put in there.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
So announced the two that The Life of a Show
Girl will be in theaters on release weekend. Kiss ONEO
sev one is also partnered with high Ball Sincy and
we're gonna do like a Taylor album marathon leading up
to the release of that. And by the way, you
can always search the Taylor Swift radio station on iHeartRadio
for some really fun exclusive content from her and music

(16:21):
leading up to it, So lots of Taylor and lots
of tailor things to look forward to. That is three
things you need to know for the twenty second of September.
Coming up at eight thirty, I have your chance to
win tickets to Tacos and Tequila, which is a really
cool concert happening in a couple of weeks, So don't
go far.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Good morning, you're waking up with fifth in the morning. Hi, Kiss,
one bye.

Speaker 12 (16:43):
Mom told me when I was growing up that if
I smoked a cigarette then I would blow up.

Speaker 13 (16:47):
So I told the whole pool, and at the end
of eighth grade, a whole bunch of people dared me
to smoke a cigarette and see if.

Speaker 12 (16:54):
I would blow up. Guess what I didn't and you
did it.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Wow, beg you for the times if that made me
giggle this morning. The microphones in the top right hand
corner of the iHeartRadio app we're in the midst of
kicking off a conversation about the lies your parents told
you growing up, and I too, am scarred by the
even oh the thought of even thinking about putting the

(17:20):
overhead light on in the car while driving.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
I mean, where are the police? Might as well. Get
him here now. Illegal lies, by.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
The way, is the keyword that you're gonna need to
win the Tacos.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
In Tequila Festival tickets. Have you heard about? This show?
Lineup is sick.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
It's at at Florence Lle Stadium on October fourth. Lil
John bow Wow and Soldier Boy, Pretty, Ricky, Camillionaire, Paul
Wall who else like Twista, Mike Jones, Bubba Sparks. A
bunch of people and performers are going to be at
this festival, so you'll need the keyword lies. I have
those tickets in Mike ten or so minutes. Yeah, we're

(17:57):
in the midst of chit chatting about the lies your
parents told you, and some of them are funny, and
it's because now as an adult, you know they're so ridiculous,
but there's still something inside your gut that tells you
that it's true. And the reason why we're chit chatting
about it this morning too, is my girlfriend has a toddler,

(18:18):
and some of my friends have kids now, and you
know they'll that will catch up, and you know, like
one day, Ashley didn't want to bring her son Bennett
to the park, so she had said.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
Oh, you know the park is closed. The park's not closed.

Speaker 6 (18:31):
The things my parents used to tell me my brothers
and cousins is that you had to wait thirty minutes
after eating before going back into the pool or the
ocean at the beach.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
Right, I mean that was a classic. Are we still
not doing that to this day? As an adult, I
avoid water thirty minutes post meal.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
I remember being told if you were making a.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Mean, art nasty face that if you didn't stop it,
your face was gonna freeze like that.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Oh yeah, that's a classic.

Speaker 14 (19:04):
I'm currently lying to my toddler, who actually believes me
because during my entire time with him alive, I've had
teeth problems, having to wear adult braces and having failed implants.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
So my lie is to tell him you gotta.

Speaker 14 (19:18):
Brush your teeth or you're gonna lose your teeth, and
I always show him the gaping hole currently where my
mystic implant is.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
Well, you know, like a healthy white line five win
three seven four nine, one oh seven one if you've
got one for me, or you can also utilize that
same talkback feature.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
It's like leaving me voice notes. I'm checking voice notes
all day.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
Microphone is in the top right hand corner. Lie is
the keyword you're gonna need for the tacos in tequila
fest tics coming up here in a few.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
Don't go far Cool. That is certainly a way to
kick off our Monday.

Speaker 4 (19:47):
I needed that pick me up. I knew every word
to that song. Also a great one for karaoke. We're
in the midst of talking about lies your parents told
you all growing up.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
Good morning, Good morning, this.

Speaker 14 (19:58):
Is j One of the myths that I told by
my local ice cream chop.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Is if UI ate pop rocks and drank soda, our
Stummachs would explode.

Speaker 7 (20:07):
Happy Monday.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Yeah, Happy Monday to you.

Speaker 7 (20:10):
A lie.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
Drive around with your head light, the lamp on inside
your car.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
The police are coming. That's a lie.

Speaker 12 (20:17):
My mom told me when I was growing up that
if I smoked a cigarette then I would blow up.
So I told the whole school, and at the end
of eighth.

Speaker 13 (20:25):
Grade a whole bunch of people dared me to smoke
a cigarette to see about blow up.

Speaker 12 (20:30):
Guess what I didn't didn't blow up.

Speaker 4 (20:32):
Still alive, still well, hopefully not rip in traditional things.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
That was one of my favorite ones so far this morning.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
By the way, lie is the keyword you're gonna need
in just a minute or two here to win the
Tacos in Tequila Fest tickets, So do Uncle farm.

Speaker 13 (20:45):
I used to lie as a babysitter and tell the
little kid that.

Speaker 12 (20:52):
If he went to bed, I.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Would let him get up after five minutes, and he
couldn't tell time, so I would just leave it in there.

Speaker 12 (21:00):
And every once in a while.

Speaker 13 (21:01):
He has it been five minutes, and I say not yet.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Core memory, and you probably scarred him. I'm wondering what
his parents would have.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Thought of that one.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
Okay, Taco's Ant Tequila Fest is happening October fourth at
the Florence Y'all Stadium, and the lineup.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Is Chris Hey, did you hear about this?

Speaker 4 (21:21):
Soldier boy, Lil John Bow Wow, Pretty Ricky, Camellionaire, Pete, Pablo, Twista,
Mike Jones, Baba Spark, Hello, Millennial Dreams. If you've got
the keyword, go ahead and start dialing five one three
seven four nine one oh seven one.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
Good luck. In the meantime, we're still commercial free. Good morning.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
You're waking up with Tiff in the morning on Kiss
one O seven one.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
Good morning.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
I am hoping you have a keyword for me. Congratulations
your collar ten. You're going to Taco's Antequila fest.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
I you yeah, no problem.

Speaker 4 (21:54):
I mean, if you hear about this lineup, it sounds
fun to me. It is little John Bow Wow, Soldier Boy,
Pretty Ricky Camellionaire, Peatie, Pablo Twist to Bubba Sparks.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Okay, what's your name? What neighborhood are you waking up
with me in? What's your name? And Nick and Nat,
thank you for listening to Tiff in the Morning.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
You're welcome.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
We were chatting about the lies that you were told
as a kid. Do you have one or is there
currently a lie that you've got yourself involved in as
a parent?

Speaker 3 (22:24):
I just they have to go to bed and Babe, it'll.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
Get you if you took an l on these tickets.
Just set a reminder, whether this is the first time
you heard about this show, or you maybe have seen
some marketing and advertising on it, go ahead and set
a reminder to just get up with Tiff in the
Morning every day around eight thirty this week.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
I'll take care of you with tickets. That'll be a
fun one.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
You don't want the lie that I was told not
even as a kid. This isn't as an adult that
if you drink tea it'll help with your voice. Okay,
not helping my voice, and it tastes disgusting. If you're
out here drinking green tea every day, I need to
know who you are because this is gross to me.
In the meantime, we're still commercial free. I hope you're

(23:11):
off to a good start. We're not far away from
three things you need to.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Know when you need to know She's got you. It's
three things with Ti.

Speaker 11 (23:22):
Means that Tuesday will be really fun. We've earned the
right to enjoy the competition.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
Absolutely. That was Tito on the Reds. Because the Reds
are keeping the energy up right. A five game a
win streak for those against the Chicago Cubs this past weekend,
you know we've clinched that wild card playoff spot. If
the season were to end today, we'd really officially ban
it because we've won the majority of the games against
the Mets. However, we still have a few more games

(23:52):
that we need to win to really secure that spot.
But if it were to be a tiebreaker scenario, we
would make it in because we've beaten the Mets more
than they have with us this season. Tomorrow, the Reds
are back at home for three two one night. If
you want to get into Great America Ballpark, they're paying.
They're playing the Pirates. Gotta take the good with the
bad and the bad with the good. Right. Here's coach
Zach Taylor on yesterday's loss against the Vikings, worse in

(24:16):
franchise history.

Speaker 3 (24:17):
What do we do now?

Speaker 5 (24:19):
It's tough to come back from that. And so it's
as simple as that is.

Speaker 4 (24:23):
Fixing the mistakes. That's what he said. You got to
protect the football. That's what they'll be working on. So
they play Monday night football against the Broncos. Second, and
three things you need to know this morning. Our iHeartRadio
Music Festival was this weekend with performances from Ed Sheeran,
Mariah Carey.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
Here's Maroon five so good. All of these performances are
on our Instagram.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
By the way, I Kiss one oh seven And if
you didn't watch it on Hulu Live or hear it
live on Kiss Friday and Saturday night, tune into Hulu
on October second, because we're gonna relive some of the magic.
And our iHeart Radio Music Festival is one of a kind.
And then lastly, in three Things you Need to Know
this morning, we've got the track list from dojah Cat's

(25:14):
new album v which is coming out this Friday, fifteen songs,
and she previewed another clip of a song this is
called Gorgeous.

Speaker 15 (25:23):
Phil gets, I really like dojah Cat's vibe for this
album very eighty.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
So I'll have that for you and new music Friday
on Friday. That is three things you need to Know
for the twenty second of September. Good morning, you're waking
up with fifth in the morning, kis so scrolling through
some archives, you're walking into mental health Monday, and thank
God because I have secondhand embarrassment from some of these
photos and captions in Facebook memories from years past. Laurie

(25:59):
shar pages our license clinical counselor. She joins us on
Mondays for mental Health Mondays. Just quick tips, something easy
to maybe put in your pocket for.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
The rest of the week.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
Adults still experience embarrassment is not a kid thing?

Speaker 3 (26:12):
Oh yeah, absolutely embarrassment huge.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
Oh my god, those feelings of wanting to crawl inside
your own skin or hide under your desk.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
Yeah, I almost wish I was a kid.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
Sometimes I didn't have that feeling, and I had that naivity.

Speaker 16 (26:26):
You know, absolutely, Embarrassment is actually a huge driver and
people will will do things to make sure that they
don't get embarrassed, right, They will avoid that emotion so much.
And the reason why is because embarrassment ultimately tells us that,
like it tells our brain that we're not safe. This
is one of those moments.

Speaker 7 (26:43):
Now what that is?

Speaker 3 (26:44):
Yeah, that was our brain.

Speaker 16 (26:45):
We're saying that, like, there's there's a threat here, and
we are we are social beings. We need to be
mindful of how the group interprets us so that we
can survive and all these wonderful kind of evolutionary things.
But the truth is is that the brain will tell
you that embarrassment is going to harm you, and embarrassments
are super can be super uncomfortable, but it's not going

(27:07):
to harm you.

Speaker 6 (27:07):
Right.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
So there, I can't die from cringiness. You cannot know
about it. I would, Yeah, I think I can.

Speaker 16 (27:15):
Yeah, well I understand that because as soon as you
said that, like I felt it, you know, I.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
Had a memory.

Speaker 16 (27:21):
Embarrassment is hard to cope with because again, it's telling
you that there's something kind of like unsafe. It's a
disregulating emotion. It makes you feel like you need to
run and hide or maybe people please your way out
of the situation. When the truth is you just got
to accept it and say, I'm embarrassed. This is embarrassing.
And I honestly think secondhand embarrassment is harder than firsthand embarrassment.

(27:43):
Oh my god, that is my true opinion. And I
not everybody experiences it that way, but like second hand embarrassment.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
For me makes me want to throw it oh when
I scroll?

Speaker 4 (27:52):
Yeah, okay, So what do you have for a tip
if I'm sitting in an embarrassing moment?

Speaker 7 (27:56):
Absolutely so.

Speaker 16 (27:57):
A great thing anytime you experience something disregulating is just
to tap your two hands back and forth on your
legs or anywhere else on your body, or tap your feet,
and that helps your brain get into a more solid,
regulated state where you can understand that the embarrassment is
just a transient feeling. It will not kill you. It
will not make you throw up like I'm worried about.

(28:17):
But it will pass.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
But there's always, like I think about the embarrassment later,
so there's the aftermath of the embarrassment.

Speaker 16 (28:25):
Absolutely so. Bonus tip on this one. Okay, why do
you continue to feed it? So this is the thing.
If there's a feeling, a transient feeling that has passed
and it pops back up for you, that is your
opportunity to redirect yourself away from it. It's still going
to feel uncomfortable, but the more you stick with it
and process it and kind of chew on it, the
more you're feeding it, the more it's going to grow.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
Glorie Sharp Pages are coping queen. That's actually where you
can find her on social media and book her for
speaking gigs, et cetera. We're so lucky to have you
on the show. Thank you, Laurie, Thank you. Let's get
into that next. Actually, I would love to hear of
an embarrassing moment that's happened to you recently. Talk back
with Tiff, whether it's secondhand embarrassment or it was real

(29:07):
life you. The microphone is in the top right hand
corner of the iHeartRadio app. You just hold that down.
