Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning. Kiss Well,
good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Kiss one oh seven one has been celebrating Women's History
Month all month long by highlighting female owned businesses and
female entrepreneurs in the Try State. You two can be
highlighted and featured on Kiss by reaching out to me
on social media.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
And we've been introduced to.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
So many many amazing female businesses in the Try State.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
And the reason why we're able.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
To do that is because we have incredible sponsors that
also believe in the mission that we do in the
month of March. And I am excited to introduce you
to someone that's been on my show before, Mona of
Mona Dermatology. Thank you for being a part of Women's
History Month with us on Kiss. Truly it's because of
you and others that were able to do it.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Thank you so much. We are just so excited to
be a part of your show. MM.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
So, my mom used to always tell me about the
fact wearing sunscreen, no matter at what age you are,
is important. So when I think of core skincare tips,
sunscreen is one of them. And I bet you have
a couple of good skincare tips that you could share here.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
For anyone really listening this morning.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Oh. Absolutely. When it comes to sunscreen, you are so right. Tip.
Sunscreen is one of the most important you, right, I know,
it one of the most important things you can do
because it protects your skin and you can start early
and it helps to actually prevent a lot of the
signs of aging. And if I was going to give
you one tip, I'd say, look at the ingredients, and
I love zinc oxide and a sunscreen because it's gonna

(01:31):
cover both your UVA and UVB rays, which you're gonna
cause aging and burning. So look for zinc oxide number one.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
You know the super warm day that we had on Sunday, right,
it was really warm, and it's been warm the last couple
of days. I did not put sunscreen on when I
went out, and I felt like my face was sunburned
after just a couple of hours out in the sun.
It's like new, fresh baby deer skin that hasn't seen
the light of day.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Right, because we've been in winter, and thank god, it's
so much nicer.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Now, give me a one or two more tips that
you have for anyone listening for skin skincare.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Tips, Oh, for skincare tips, well, Number one, sunscreen is
very important. The second thing I would say is an
antioxidant is great to help protect you from some of
that environmental damage like the sun or even pollution which
can sit on your skin. So look for a good antioxidant.
Vitamin C is one of them, but there's lots of
different ones out there. And the other thing is i'd say,

(02:24):
make sure you wash your face at night. You know,
a lot of times we're so busy, we get so tired.
But wash your face and get all that stuff off
your face at night so you can have a good, fresh,
clean face in the morning.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
When I go out and I come home from going out.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
It is so much easier for me to shower to
get my makeup off than wash it over the sink.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
You know that feeling? Oh yeah, yeah, whereas I going
with this?

Speaker 2 (02:46):
My neurodivergent brain sometimes gets me off track here. Oh
the big thing I see on TikTok as of late
is collagen.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Oh absolutely, like couladen powders.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Yeah, what do you think should I be doing that?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah? I love collagen powders. A lot of studies looking
at that and it actually does help build collagen. It
helps your hair and you look for a marine like
short chain collagen and there's lots of ones out there.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Mona of Mona Dermatology. It's in Kenwood. I'm sure you're
familiar with the beautiful building. Oh my god, on the
left hand side whenever I'm on my way to the
highway there. Thank you so much for being a part
of Women's History Month with kiss one O seven one.
I just have one more question for you. What do
you think it means to have so many big female
owned businesses in the Tri State. A lot of them
were being introduced to for the first time this month.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Right, Well, I think that I would say this, if
you're a woman and you're thinking about doing something, believe
that you can. It's so important. I think that in
many times we don't think that we can do things
as women, but we can. So believe in yourself and
just if you have it in your heart, just believe
you can do it.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
I love that. Well, nominate a female owned business in
the Tri State if it's yours, more than welcome to
shoot me. Or if you're listening right now and your
ears are perking up and you're like, oh my god,
a girlfriend and the girlfriend of mine works so hard
at her business.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
She deserves it.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Because Mona is hooking up some of our winners in
the Tristate with some gift cards to Mona Dermatology so
that you know you can get that good, good skincare.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
So thank you, Mona. I appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Oh, thank you so much. TIV
