Speaker 1 (00:03):
Why from the Knix Studios in the iHeartMedia building and
we share with a random bank downstairs in a questionable
area of Phoenix. It's Friday, September twenty sixth, National Pancake Day.
On It's Simmin Brooks Show.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Whooo.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Okay, stagecoach lineup is absolutely stacked. That's happening in Indio,
California in April. Friday, April twenty fourth, we got Cody Johnson,
Bailey Zimmerman, Ella Langley, Nate Smith, Chase, Rice Whyana Judd,
Counting Crows, and Avery Anna. If you don't know that name,
she is from Flagstaff yea, so we're always rooting for her.
(00:40):
Then Saturday we got Lanny Wilson, Riley Green, Little Big Town,
Journey Bush. Are you familiar with that band Bush from
the nineties?
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Right?
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Oh yeah, Gwen.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Sevani's ex husband. I don't like him, but I like
their songs.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Then Sunday, Posty Post Malone Brooks and Dunn Hoody and
the Blowfish, Third Eye Blind. You know how I feel
about Third Eye Blind? Love them. Ty Myers who was
at our kans Hometown holiday, Brett Young amos Lee do
you know amos Lee. No, okay. On the iHeartRadio app.
You need to look up amos Lee. I would not
(01:21):
categorize him as country, like maybe Americana folk country, but
he's so good. The song night Train, it's my absolute favorite.
Look up I'm in in the Arms of a Woman
night Train and Sweetpea. Also, Diplo and Pitbull are going
to be there, and Luda Luda.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Yeah. They mixing a variety of other than country artists
like Journey and I think the Beach Boys played last year. Yes,
so it's pretty cool lineup. That's a great, great three
day festival.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Oh man, Third Eye Blind can't wait.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Also, you know how I've been talking about the books.
There's three books in the series. The Housemaid yep, I
read the books. If you haven't, you must is coming
out in December with Amanda Seyfred and Sydney Sweeney. The
author of the books has come out and said, Okay,
I never say this, but the movie is better than
my books.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
No kidding.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
The author of the book said this, So okay, this
could be the exception, because is there You're a big reader.
Has there ever been a movie you think is better
than the book?
Speaker 2 (02:22):
I want to say yeah, the boys in the boats.
I just just comes to mind recently, that's the one
about the guys rowing in the Olympics.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Right, Okay, yeah, maybe maybe gone girl, Okay, up there,
But I don't know. I still like the book better,
but we'll see made Man.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
The Cardinals lost in heartbreaking fashion last night with a
last second field goal. The Devil's got to do it
tonight against the Horned Frogs of TCU. Let's go, Devils,
Let's go. It's Tim and Brook from the centers Port
Studios of k and i AX FM, Phoenix. All right,
so where do we rank on the friendliest cities in America?
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Three?
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Three?
Speaker 1 (02:58):
We are third, Phoenix, Arizona is third. Second is Raleigh,
North Carolina, which I totally agree with, and then number
one San Diego. All right, these seem to be all
major cities, all big cities, because then he goes for
Miami in Houston and Honolulu.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Oh wait Miami, Yeah, come.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
On, well yeah, this is where it gets diicy, because
then Boston. I was just in Boston, and I promise
you friendly honking at me when I was driving was
not very friendly.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
San Jose, that's you though. That happens here.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
No, but listen, I lived near Boston. I like the people,
but I would not say no. One says, oh Boston
and New York. Wow, the people are so friendly. And
I think there's no Midwest cities. Really Midwest people are
the nicest people. It's a scientific fact.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
I thought when I lived in Chicago it was like
New York except friendly. Yeah, it's like a big small
town vibe in a big city.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yeah, you were from the South and Midwest great, and
then they all move out here to Phoenix, and Phoenix
is nice to begin with.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Okay, let's go. We're number three. We got to be friendlier,
so let's try harder. Okay, Tim and Brook k and
I X one or two five knix. It's Tim and
Brooke and we like the true crime stories. You know,
true crime podcasts all over the iHeartRadio app And there's
one coming to Oxygen, the Oxygen Network. It'll be hosted
by June Squib. Now you may not know her. She
(04:24):
was in a movie last year. She's like ninety five
years old. Okay, very funny, spry, older woman. And she's
gonna host a series called Killer Grannies.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Killer Grannies are there that many grannies that have committed murder.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Apparently, each episode will examine cases where grandmothers turn into
unexpected killers. Stories will unfold through archival footage, selective recreations,
cinematic visuals, and interviews with investigators, prosecutors, friends and family.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
I mean, I thought, if you ask me, I feel
like I could count on one hand the amount of
grannies that have turned killers.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
You would be surprised, I guess, so yeah. And I'm
wondering as somebody who's never met any of my grandparents.
I've never had a grandparent. That's so sad. I wonder
if it's all because they're doing time, they're in the pen.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
I think they've murdered, they've passed, you think, so thank Yeah?
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Two five Kate n I Ax. It's Tim and Brooke.
Happy to be here on this Friday morning.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Okay. I wake up at around four am usually since
I was a little earlier. My husband wakes up later, obviously,
And this morning I wake up to an alarm at
three point fifty. I thought it was mine. It's his, Like,
what are you? Why is your alarm going off at
three point fifty? He said, the ryder cup has started,
(05:50):
And I'm like, you are insane. You started the alarm
your day at three forty five basically to watch this
golf tournament.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Where is it? Talk? Is it in England? It is in.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
All right, you don't even know.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
But somewhere where it's earlier there that it is, I
mean here that it is there.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
So then he informed me, which is like, this is
a useful piece of information. He said that Miranda Lambert
in the celebrity portion, was paired with Michael Strahan, ok
and they won their section, and then Kane Brown and
Noah Khan also helped Team USA beat Europe.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Okay, well there we go.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
So there we go. But you like sports, that's your
sports update coming from my husband at three this morning.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
But now we're counting on celebrities in order to win
these tournaments?
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Well I think this was the Yeah, you know how
they have like the celebrity portion of pro Am. This
is I guess a pro Amy.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
It's like a separate one. Oh but it is. It's
in New York.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Oh oh okay, So he wanted to see the early
tea time. What do you want to see him take
their practice swings?
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Wretch Tim, You know he likes to watch people practice.
He got tickets to the Masters, and I thought it
was the real thing. And he got tickets to Tuesday
or something and it was he wanted to watch them stretch.
He's so crazy.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
He's a golf nutt Yeah for sure. Good job go Usa.
We love it. Fun song. Scotty and his wife Gabie
just had a baby boy, their second boy. Darius just
announced he's going out with a super group. He's put
together with people from the Black Crows, Rim and himself
and then Hoody and the Blowfish the actual Hoody and
the Blowfish Band are going to be a part of
(07:28):
the Stage Coach lineup next spring.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Very cool.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
You got the full lineup coming up in Today's Top Stories.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Yes, and Scotty. If you're listening and you want to
go to my Instagram at Knixbrook and see what it's
like to have two boys, please bo. They're just tackling
each other and someone wrote, oh my gosh, are they okay?
That happens forty seven times an hour. They're fine. They
just they're like bear cubs and they tackle each other.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
I was on Fox ten does this thing called Fox
ten Talks after the morning AZ program you can see
on TV. Then they do another thing online with their
anchors live, and I was appearing on it yesterday. Something
very bizarre happened. I'll talk about it at seven ten.
But I did tell the story of when Bo got
(08:12):
jealous of Cam's attention your mom was giving him and said,
check my underwear, and he pooped on command in his
underwear to get your mom's attention. That is a superpower. Yeah,
that superpower. Okay. Anyway, you just asked of the most
photographed homes in America.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah, top three. Number one is super easy if you
think about it.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Well, I mean, do you consider the White House a home?
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Okay, that is the most photographed home. I mean someone
lives there, someone sleeps there, yep.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Okay, So the White House number two? Uh, maybe the
house from Breaking Bad.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Nope, that's not it.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
That's pretty famous.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
But you're on the right.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Something famous from a movie or TV.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
The second one is from a TV show, and the
third one you and I have both been there. It
is the house of a famous singer.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Oh oh, Graceland.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Graceland sumber three number two from a TV show back
in I think it was your.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Day, man. The Brady Bunch House.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Brady Bunch House really Oh wow.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
I saw a thing on one of those uh Fixer
Upper shows on HDTV where they were gonna they were
going to actually recreate the outside on the inside of
a Brady Bunch house. It's like in somewhere in the
suburbs of La right, it's.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Like Studio City, California. And so what they're doing is
they're creating the inside exactly. Now they're not using the
real couch, but they're using they're just doing replicas, and
they're opening up to the public for the first time
in history.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
You've been able to get like private tours if you
were somebody famous, but.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
It's the house they really filmed that.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Yeah, well they did some studio interior shots, but they're
going to do a replica and you can you have
to get tickets. So it's a limited amount, a couple
of days in November.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Tuck, do you know what the Brady Bunch shots?
Speaker 3 (09:54):
I know the Brady Bunch, but I haven't seen any.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Okay, it's a it's a blended family, a mom with
three earls, Mary's a dad with three boys, and hilarity ensues.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Yes, now I you want.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Did you see the reruns growing Up or.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
What reruns because it was Niked Knight, Niked Knight showed
you know, Three's Company and all those famous shows. Now,
I have been to a couple of famous houses, the
Twilight House, One Tree Hill House, Dawson's Creek House, Designing
Woman House, the Great Gatsby House. Have you guys been
to any from a TV show that you remember that
you went out of your way to actually see? Because
(10:28):
on my bucket list is the Home Alone House, Full
House House, and the Breaking Bath House.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Oh yeah, I've seen well, I haven't seen the Full
House House, except that that park where they have those
that row of houses. They call them the Painted Ladies
in San Francisco. Yeah. Yeah, we took a trip specifically
to a family wedding just so we could spend a
day in San France and I can get a picture
of my kids in front of those houses. While you're
singing up, yeah, gluted it down.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
I drove over the bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge and
saying that the tuck Have you been to any.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
I can't think of any but Home Alone? Favorite Christmas
movie of all time? I would love to go see that.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
It's in It's near Chicago, right, it's it Maybe it's
out in the suburbs, but I feel like it's also that.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
House from a Christmas story, you know.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
That's in Ohio.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Shoot your eye up. Yeah, that's that's supposedly kind of
a famous spot.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
The horror House, which I will I've.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
Heard of that that that's a who's the comedian that
just bought a bunch of these houses that were like
in horror movies? I don't know, Yeah I would to,
but yeah, I'll have to think of that. Maybe throw
that out there. What is a house you would like
to see or take a picture in front of? From
famous from a movie or TV show.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
I made Brian take me to the Twilight House in Portland.
The first time I went. He's like, you're joking, Like, no,
this is the Vampire's house.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Take me here. Now it's Tim and Brooke on this
fantastic Friday morning. Why is it fantastic? Well, supposed to
ring today, so let's go. Or TV shows. And when
I was in Flagstaff going to school the Harvard of
the Pines and au they filmed the very first vacation
movie with Chevy Chase and they we went watched them
(12:13):
film downtown in Flagstaff. That was supposed in the movie,
it's supposed to be Phoenix. And then they also filmed
in a neighborhood where they drop off their aunt Edna
whoever they've got, she's passed away. She's on the vacasion
and they drop her off, and it's supposed to be Phoenix,
but it's in Flagstaff. But the coolest part was they
were making it rain for the movie. And apparently you
(12:35):
can't just squirt water in the air like from a
fire hose. It's a real elaborate rig. It was a
fascinating thing. But that was kind of cool to see
that film. Them film that part of that movie in Flagstaff.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
I love that. I love TV movies. If the something
was filmed there, I got to see it.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
And I just heard from my friend Simbo who says,
I've been to and inside the Amityville horror House. My
sister was best friend with the oldest daughter who was
murdered with her family by and the oldest brother on
Long Island. Wait, that's not just a movie, it was
it true?
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah? What, I don't think they discovered the gateway to
Hell in the basement or whatever. I don't think that
part was true.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
My gosh, But why would you, Oh, why would you
go into the.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Why would you want to do that? I can't remember
where we were. I was with some friends. This is
a long time ago, and they were like, I can't
remember which serro cler like, oh, you want to go
see Ted Bundy's house.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
No, no, no, I don't thank you want to go
to the crawl Spaces, John Wayne, No, no please?
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Oh okay, thanks for that anyway, Moving on stage, Coach
was just announced yesterday. In case you missed it, Indio, California,
starts April twenty fourth through the twenty sixth Friday Night
lineup is stacked. The whole thing is Cody Johnson, Bailey Zimmerman,
Ella Langley, Nate Smith, Anna Avery, who is from Flagstaff.
So I was rooting her on my not A Judd
(13:55):
Counting Crows Saturday, My Girl Lady Wilson, Riley Green, Little
Big Town Journey gonna be there and in Sunday post
Alone Brooks and Dune, Hoody and the Blowfish, Third Eye Blind,
Tim Myers, who is at our k and IX hometown Holiday,
Brett Young and amos Lee. If you don't know amos.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Lee, I love him, Like, what's the song?
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Well, my favorite is night Train.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Oh, you put a song out called night Train. I'm
gonna like it.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
It's it's like folksy country ish lose kind of you
have to listen In the Arms of a Woman. I
think you'll like that. And Sweet Pea, Well, I'm sure
you've heard that in some commercial.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
That's a great lineup and it's got just the right
amount of like non country like Third Eye Blind and
Journey pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Okay now, and also it's going to be there. Where
do you stand on Diplo, Pitbull and Luda? Which one?
Speaker 2 (14:45):
I absolutely love that trio?
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Yeah, yeah, all in Luda A big fan.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
All right?
Speaker 3 (14:51):
An what I want to know who Anna Avery is?
You want to know what who Anna Avery is? I
know Avery Anna?
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Oh s? Sorry? Sorry?
Speaker 2 (15:01):
My bad Brook was that Brook was calling her name
like she was a teacher in class. Yeah, okay, my
bad stickler.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
I was like, how do you not know who she has?
We've been talking about her the books. I've been talking
about The Housemaid Love It could not put them down.
It's a series of three. You have to read it
if you're looking for something good. They're making a movie
out of it. Comes out Thanksgiving maybe early December. And
it's got Sidney Sweeney and what's her name from Mamma
Mia for why am I blanket on this name? Amanda
(15:32):
Seyfred Now, the author of the books, just came out
and said she's seen the movie and it is better
than the books. She wrote, Wow, that is never the case,
rarely the case that the movie is better than the book.
But if the own author is saying it, I cannot wait.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
That's gonna be good. If you said so, I mean
I liked it ends with us.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
It's got the hot eye. Okay, from it ends with
us Atlas.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Let's see great quick little sports thing. Cardinals, oh on
National TV last night. They battle back to tie the
game and then lose in heartbreaking fashion. You got the
Mercury in a playoff game tonight. They win tonight and
Sunday they're going to the finals. And then the Diamondbacks
they lost to the Dodgers. They play the APT San
Diego the Padres the next three. Again, the Diamondbacks have
(16:17):
to win all three games, and then the Reds and
the Mets have to win some combination for us to
make it. But we're still clinging to that hope. And
tonight it's the sun Devils against TCU maybe in the rain.
It's Mountain America Stadium, all right, Old Devils.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Am I stupid because I didn't know they played Friday night.
I thought it was Saturday.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
They Yeah, this is a national TV game. It's the
only college game on It's going to be on Fox. Okay, Yeah,
so that's all going on. Brook. If I promised you
an ice cold Celsius snow cones from ConA Ice and
a petting zoo for your kids, would you come out
with me tomorrow?
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Yeah, not Celsius for the kids, yeah, but for me.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Yeah, Matrick Brook Hoover, we got tuck behind the glass
and you wherever you're headed for work, school, job site.
Glad that you're lessing to us here on one O
two five kN Ix. I'm happy to be anywhere after
what I went through yesterday, very bizarre incidents. On Fox ten.
We appear there every morning. There are Fox ten Arizona. Am.
(17:12):
You know all our friends over there, you do and
I do cut ins. We pop in from the studio
here at K and i X check in on their
show several times every morning. They do a continuation of
the conversations about the news and local stuff. Online on
the Fox ten website and it's called Fox Talks, you know.
So yeah, I've been on.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
That show before with Ty and Anita.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
It was exactly and that's who invited me down yesterday
to go down to the Fox ten studios downtown and
for fifteen minutes they wanted me to talk about one
Hit Wonders, you know, we were talking about that yesterday,
One Hit wonder Day. And I'm supposed to be on
from let's see eleven fifteen to eleven thirty. So I
(17:55):
get there, I'm waiting and they pull me into the
studio at about eleven fourteen and it's kind of cool
because you're in a virtual studio. In other words, it's
all green except for the desk and the human beings
you know, Tie and Anita. But you're looking at all
these giant screens with all the interaction from the audience.
(18:16):
So it's online, so people are interacting with what you're
saying live in real time. And as I come on,
you know, there's a stream of people who are like, oh, hey, Tim,
we listen to you guys, we love you and brook
and I'm not one or two minutes into the segment
when they go Tim You've played all kinds of music,
not just country music. That's why we ask you down
here for one hit wonder Day. How long have you
(18:38):
been doing this? And before I can answer, all of
a sudden, this chirping sound an alarm starts to go off,
and this blue flashing light that kind of dominates everything,
and they both stop, and the directors and the producers,
everybody just sort of stops, and you know, we're live online,
but it's like a TV show. We're live. They go,
(19:01):
that's our evacuate sign. And I said, okay, and Tie
and Anita are both is this real? Is this a drill?
Or what are we doing? And the director stands up
abruptly and goes, no, that we have to evacuate right now.
And Tie says that particular code that color light is
for an active shooter.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
No, yes, are you serious?
Speaker 2 (19:24):
I am serious.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
By the way, Why am I just hearing about this now?
Speaker 2 (19:28):
Well? I texted you right after it was over and said,
I've got a great break for tomorrow morning show. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
I thought maybe you talked about something interesting, not that
there was an active shooter. What the heck I know?
Speaker 2 (19:37):
And so that they have like a different code for
different things like that, and you know, just think of
the world we're in now, that's like, yeah, good yike,
really really happened. Next thing, you know, people are opening
doors and you know, we're out on the street. I'm
there with all of the Fox ten employees and I'm
standing there with Anita and Tye. Where they actually evacuate
(19:59):
us across the street. This down off Washington Adams. It's
about Fifth Avenue. It's right next to the Arizona Financial Theater. Now,
I don't mean to be critical in this moment, because
this could be a serious situation, but they evacuate us
out onto the street, out in the wide open.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
By the way, on the other side of the building
at Fox TED is a Phoenix Police station. It's like
the main Phoenix PD down there. Why don't we go there? Yeah,
that's where I would go, right, But I mean, I
don't mean to tell him how to do their emergency evacuation.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
What about like a safe room or something.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Yeah, way back when, back back when I was in
before I was on the radio, I was up in
the flag staff and you could get Channel ten up there.
A gunman right before the five o'clock news snuck into
the Fox ten or it wasn't Fox, it was CBS
back then, but snuck into the studio and held a
(20:55):
gun on the anchor live on TV and made him
re statements. And so you're watching the news and here's
here's the anchor with a gun in his ribs with
a nut jobs. And the guy was out of his
mind and it was like he thought that, you know,
the apocalypse was happening. And Tanya Tucker and Glenn Campbell
(21:15):
were involved somehow, and so they averted that situation. Nobody
got hurt. That guy still in prison. I may have
died by now, but there was.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
A movie about that. Yeah, I can't remember.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
It was a great caneer.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Yes, I saw. It was really good.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Yeah. So I'm wondering, is it happening again. We're out
on the streets. It's like ten minutes later and somebody
comes out and says, ah, Claire. So, I don't know
what prompted it. I don't know how serious it was
it was. I mean, obviously it didn't there was no shooter,
So I don't know why they pulled that alarm.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
You still don't know. They didn't tell you, They didn't know.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
We walked back in the studio. And the funny part
is they just left, so they left the cameras on
and the live stream was on. Now, if you're at
home and you're watching this, you're not going to turn
that off because you're like, you might be seeing things
happening right there live on the on the internet, on
the web stream.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
That's so scary.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
So we walked back, get in the studio and sit
down just in time, and I go, and that's how
I made a million dollars, super easy. Everybody can do
it at home, just follow those steps.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Oh man, I'm glad everybody I know.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
It was. It was the weirdest thing. It was really weird.
And obviously everything's okay, so we can joke about it now.
But when when they started to speculate, they go, I
wonder who did that? I wonder if it was Brooke,
And he just said, I bet Brooke did this because
she was jealous. You were on TV well or something.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
Oh wow.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
And so that prompted me to tell the story about
how your son Bo gets jealous when Cam his little
brother gets more attention, and the day that your mom
was like taking in his little brother and giving him
attention and bo on Demand pooped his pants to make
everybody notice himself and said, hey, your mind goes what's
(23:03):
the matter, and he goes check my underwear, Which that's
gotta be a Liam Nissan line in a movie. It's like,
I don't have a particular set of skills which are
a nightmare for you if you check my underwear. Anyway,
I guess I'm going back Monday and hopefully going to
talk about one hit wonders Redo. Yeah, I'm going to
(23:24):
do it.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
Wow, that's I'm glad.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
Everyone's okay, everybody's okay. Yeah, that was my brush with
terror in downtown Phoenix yesterday. Shout out to you, uh
Amita and time. They were my one two five k
n I X. You ever heard of Jake Pevy. No,
Jake Pevey was a great baseball player in the MLB
(23:47):
and played San Diego Padres I believe, yeah, he started
this thing. He played guitar, you know, with his uh MLB,
his teammates and so forth, and decided to put on
a little bit of a concert every year around spring training.
And it has grown into the Innings Fest and the
Extra Innings Fest, and so that's where it all started.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
I did not know that.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Yeah, that's that's the origins. It's still going on. It's huge. Now,
great lineup country music in February, and we want to
send you out there for both nights. This is Luke,
Bryan Derks, Bentley, Shaboozi, Hardy and Caine Brown plus many others.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Yeah, see Hardy and his new teeth. They look good.
And by the way, Hardy's new album came out today.
Oh country country.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
Yeah, we've got a little sample for you coming up
in New Country Friday. It's going to be good. All right,
Let's play Pyramid of Winning. What do you say?
Speaker 1 (24:38):
Let's go eight three three five seven seven K and
I X. We're looking for two callers. One to play
with me? Want to play with Tim?
Speaker 2 (24:44):
Good luck? Lease dial carefully one on two five kN
I X the Pyramid of Winning one on two five
KNIX with Tim and Brook. It's a floodwatch Friday, everybody.
Oh really yeah until at least eighty five tonight. So
don't forget your umbrellas. And if you're young, look up
what an umbrella is. You may not know you're a kid.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
I actually am not joking. I don't think we have
one at our house.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Did Brian, ever get the windshield wipers changed?
Speaker 1 (25:13):
I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
Was it too embarrassed to go on? And I ask?
Speaker 1 (25:16):
Probably?
Speaker 2 (25:18):
All right, here is your host for Pyramid of Winning.
It's Tucker. Hey, Tucker. All right, So Pyramid of Winning.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
We got two clue givers and Tim and Brook with
one specific category for each of them, playing with two contestants,
Ashley and Michelle for the extra innings tickets. All right,
let's do it. So, Tim, you are going to go first, yep.
And you are playing with Ashley from Mesa. Say hey Ashley,
Hey Ashley. Ye, how you feeling this morning?
Speaker 1 (25:45):
I am good, excited?
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Okay, all right, just free your mind and let the
energy flow. Okay, all right, what do we got? Tuck?
Speaker 3 (25:55):
All right, Tim and Ashley? Your category is fruits fruit ready?
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Three? Two? One? Go? Oh. This is Adam and Eve.
They took this on the tree. Yes, let's see. This
is citrus. Yes, that's good. This is comes in bunches,
green and red. You make wine. Yep, this is bunches. Also,
monkeys eat these. Yep. This is comes in a big
(26:25):
green thing. You cut it open, it's red and their seed.
Just yep. This is let's see shortcake. Oh, it's going
for strawberry strawberry?
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Is your time for forty five seconds?
Speaker 2 (26:37):
No, it's only it's only thirty thirty seconds. Why second,
you're just sour? Sour? What sour grapes? That's what you are? Hey,
you did great, good job. I lost track, but that
was Guy's got five. Correct. We're on, Ashley, Yes, we
are all right.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
Brooke, you are up now. And you were playing with
Michelle from Gilbert Say, hey Michelle.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Hello, hold on, let me let me hit her button.
There we go, there you go, hold on, Michelle, No,
hold on, I got her. Now, there we go, new system.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Hey Michelle.
Speaker 4 (27:13):
Three times charm?
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (27:15):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 4 (27:16):
All right? Yeah, I can hear you.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
Okay, are you ready? Do you think we can get six?
Speaker 4 (27:21):
Oh my gosh, yes, okay, let's go.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
All right, So your category is going to be veggies.
You got vegetables?
Speaker 2 (27:27):
All right? All right? Three to one's so, I'm sorry,
you're out of time. All right, here you go.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
It's what's in a salad? Yep? Blank on the cob.
They're orange and rabbits eat fees carrots. It makes your
peace smell funny. Yes, this is blank and carrots. They're
a little round green.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
Vegetables.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
Yeah, okay, it's okay. Moving on. It's like it's like broccoli,
but it's white pulfler Yep, this is what cucumbers turn into.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Oh do we have ourselves a tie?
Speaker 3 (28:09):
Oh my gosh, we have another tie.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
I'm excited. That means we're gonna go to the Tim
and Rook pyramid tie breaker. You don't want to miss
the thrilling head to head action. It's winner take all
for the Extra Innings Festival. Michelle and Ashley hang On asks, well,
two great players in Michelle and Ashley, and it's deadlocked
(28:33):
at five five in the pyramid of winning, so we
need to go to the tie breaker. Here's how we're
gonna do it. I'm gonna get both of them on
the line. This is Michelle. Can you hear me?
Speaker 4 (28:43):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Okay? Uh now I'm bringing in Ashley. You're both on
the line. High Ashley, Hi, Okay. Here's how it works.
We're gonna ask a question. If you know the answer,
shout out your name. Don't say the answer, shout out
your name. Then we'll call on you. If you get
the answer, rights, then you've one. Are you ready? Yeah? Yeah,
alrighty then Brook, what is the question.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
The question is we just announced our K and i
X Hometown Holiday show. Who does it benefit? Michelle shows?
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Yeah, Michelle, Yeah, thank you both for playing. You guys won. Yeah,
you're going to the Extra Innings Festival. And by the way,
we'll have tickets for our K and IX Hometown Holiday
coming up at eight twenty five and all weekend long.
It's a winning weekend. One O two five K and
i X with Tim and Brook two five k n
(29:42):
i X with Tim and Book.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
That's okay. Sometimes Starbucks orders they right broke, can't they know?
Speaker 2 (29:51):
Yeah? Exaccurate. So here we are on this Friday morning. Yeah,
there is a weather watch a floodwatching effect until tonight.
Everything's saying this might effect, you know, the ASU game
going on at Mountain America Stadium, and also there's a
Mercury game downtown. They're headed for the playoffs. They're trying
to make it to the finals. Win tonight, and they
had to bump the Jonas Brothers concert out of PHX
(30:13):
on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Oh Joe bros Or Joe Brose.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
We asked this yesterday. We were talking abouts don't knock
it till you try it, life hacks, and we threw
it out there on social and we ended up getting
responses all day long, right talk.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
Yeah, we got a ton of different responses. But then
they also came out with another list because it was
like so popular.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Okay, you want to hear the list? Yeah, what's on
the new list? All right?
Speaker 3 (30:37):
So there's eight of them. Number eight is sitting down
and facing the opposite way on a toilet. So they're saying,
the backboard of it is like a it's basically a desk,
so you could just kind of prop your phone.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
Off, you could put your elbows down. Disgusting, get a
little bit of it like an airplane nap.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
We don't need to reinvent the wheel. Just sit down
and go to the bathroom.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
All right.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Grows clove oil and your floor cleaner. It keeps the
bugs from coming in your home.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Oh, but doesn't it make your house smell like First Friday? Probably? Probably?
Speaker 1 (31:12):
I just use green mango, so, okay.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
This is a good one. Chopsticks for cheetos.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Chopsticks for cheetos.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Okay, Okay, I like that. My kids aren't old enough
to use chopsticks. I refuse to buy the flavor blasted goldfish,
even though they're more delicious because of all the dust.
And that dust on their fingers we'll get everywhere.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Someone on Shark Tank actually made like a chip grabbing.
It's not chopsticks. You put it on your thumb and
your pointer finger and it's just like a little chip grabber.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Oh, I find those if my kids would use that.
I had some chip dust in my hair at Arizona
Financial Theater. I didn't even know, but my kids were.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
Yeah, anyway, chipped dust from the flavor blasters.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
Okay, greasing a corn cob butter a slice of bread,
then wrap it around a freshly cooked corn on the
cob to coat the corn with the butter.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
That's good.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
Put popcorn kennels and a paper sandwich bag and then
you put it back in the microwave and reheat it. Okay,
then you throw some seasoning and whatever else you want in.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
It seems like a hack from the little house on
the Prairie.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
Why don't you just get a popcorn bag because they
had a lot of microwave ovens back then.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
Yeah, eating Kiwi with the skin on.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
No, I don't know about that. You lost me eating kiwied.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
You don't like kiwi no weird?
Speaker 2 (32:34):
No, I like people from Australia better.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
Using a potato peeler instead of a knife for cutting cheese.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
Oh I could see that.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
Yeah, I cut the cheese recently and I didn't use anything.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
And number one, and this is a for sure thing.
A shower beer A shower beer, nothinga its a beer
in the shower. That is you have just described the
Diamondbacks fantasy camp.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Yeah, but doesn't it get watered down?
Speaker 2 (33:04):
You have to hold it.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
You don't like discreetly, you don't waterboard yourself and like
drink underneath the wall.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
Yeah right, Yeah, you gotta and you gotta sometimes. You know,
when you gotta scrub a dub, you replace the soap
and the soap dish with the beer can. Yep, so
you can wash up. Yeah, that's that was one of
the best parts of I mean the best part of
fantasy camp. Fantasy camp. You get to play baseball with Diamondbacks,
you know, real Diamondbacks players, and you're in the clubhouse
and you get to everything. You come back from playing
(33:31):
baseball all day, you drop your uniform and there's clubhouse
staff to do the laundry and there's beers right outside
the shower, and you just stand in a shower with
other dudes and you talk about the day and you
drink a beer and you're naked. Hey, that sound awesome.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
I mean you had to take it up a notch.
You had to say beer. Shower with other dudes naked
is my favorite.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
Okay, Tim, It's something about the camaraderie, that's all it is.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
Do you think a diet coke like and the shower
is as good?
Speaker 2 (34:01):
No?
Speaker 1 (34:02):
Well you don't like Dike coke, Tim, You and I
love it.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
Look Brook, what you and your friends do it. Scrap
booking camp is fined by me and Tucker. We don't care.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
I promise we don't shower together while we're drinking Dike coke.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
Ever, you can do a spicy margarita or something in.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
The shower in the power. I don't think that's for me.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Okay. They're all showering with their swimsuits on. For sure,
we're not. We're going right here all the way through
with commercial free country next and your tickets too, our
k and IX Hometown Holiday. They go on sale at
eight o'clock this morning. That's like fifteen, a little bit
more than fifteen minutes from right now. I am so
(34:40):
glad I just opened up my Instagram, my dms because
I just saw this one in the nick of time.
Normally I don't see these things until too late, but
Desiree wanted us to wish her twins a happy sixth
birthday today at this very time. So happy birthday, Kylin
and Casey from everybody here at.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
K Happy birthday.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
Yeah, let's celebrate with a little New Country. It's called
New Country Friday. It's a playlist that lives on the
iHeartRadio app free iHeartRadio app for your phone, and we
updated every Friday with new stuff, either songs from artists
you already know that maybe you're a little bit deeper cuts,
or new artists that we think you really ought to
pay attention to. Now, our first cut is from somebody
(35:24):
who we not only know but we love. This was
a K and I Secret Show artist.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
Yeah. Cole Swindell. Now he wrote this song when a
couple of weeks ago after the Charlie Kirk shooting. He
wrote the song called make Heaven Crowded because he was
feeling some type of way as a lot of us
were didn't know what to do, so he wrote his
feelings in a song and it's a has nothing to
do with Charlie. Doesn't say his name in the song,
but just hey man, let's let's be kind to each
(35:51):
other and love each other. And that's how we don't
let the devil win. And that is how you get
to heaven. Kindness, and let's make heaven crowded. Let's make
Church's crowded, beautiful mess.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
It timed out, but anyway.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
He's a good songwriter. And while Tim is getting this song.
He the first time Tim and I saw him, it
was an orange sky, I believe, and it's phenomenal. He
only had an acoustic guitar. He was singing and we
looked at each other and said, he's got John Mayer vibes.
And I heard this song and I think it sounds
a little John Mayrish, which is awesome.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
You are correct, You are correct about that, all right.
I'm telling the computer what I wanted to do, and
it's it's looking at me like I'm drunk.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
I also saw him for the first time with the
actual band, like in concerted a place called Coyote Joe's
and this is in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
Yeah, killed it.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
His stage performance or his live performances.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
Are really good. Is vocals are great.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
And by the way, Coyote Joe's was featured in The
Hunting Wives Tuck you remember that scene or at the bar?
Speaker 2 (36:53):
I remember that's?
Speaker 1 (36:54):
Yeah, that's all right show.
Speaker 2 (36:56):

put something on her Instagram. And so she's sick and
talking about why she broke up with her boyfriend Chase Stokes.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Right, she hasn't talked about it yet. We don't know,
we don't know why.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
But what she did, she put her hand in her
face and just made an expression.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
Ye leave us alone.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
Is she is she revealing at all any of the
details of how things started to unravel? Shortly after she
met our own Tucker.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
No, she hasn't come out and said it yet, but
just be expecting trying to do a podcast.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
Is she texting you talk or what's the Yeah?
Speaker 3 (37:58):
I did have to sign an indie though, oh, because
she was like, don't say anything yet. It's only it's
a timely based one.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
So okay, But is there a chance to you're gonna
meet up with her at ZIPS tonight? I mean there's
a high probability.
Speaker 3 (38:10):

Speaker 1 (38:15):

make beautiful, they can do it. And we're all going
