Speaker 1 (00:02):
Why for the K and i X studios in the
iHeartMedia building that we share with a random bank downstairs
in a questionable area of Phoenix. It's Wednesday, November nineteenth,
National Carbonated Caffeine Day on It's a Manbrook.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Show, all right.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
So it's like your Celsius send.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Your what else, like a Lani energy drink omesa energy drink,
which Tuck drinks.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
D coke would be the same.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Huh that's true.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Yeah, I have a feeling because Celsius it says like
it's good for you, right, it burns fat. It's all
these vitamins. I have a fear, and I drink so
much of it. In ten years, I'm gonna be a
part of a class action lawsuit or something that's.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Okay, extra arm grows off your back, you know.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Probably come from today's Stop Stories tonight or the CMA's
seven on ABC. Landy Wilson is hosting, and later on
we will all get into who we.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Think should win Entertainer of the Year and who probably
will win. We'll break it all down for you coming up.
But I can't wait. I am so excited. I already
told my husband bath in bedtime. You got it. Handle it.
This is my super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Nate Bergazi announced Nate Land. Now he is one of
our favorite comedians. If you've never heard him, you've got
to watch his special on Netflix.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
It was actually filmed at k America Theater.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Yeah, he's got a couple of films here. What a
celebrity wanted k America? Yeah, America whatever it is now here?
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Yeah, yea, yeah, sorry, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
He's family friendly, he's Nashville. He's friends with a lot
of the country artists, but he is. Nateland is the
first theme park in almost thirty years since Opryland USA
closed in nineteen ninety seven.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
There is no theme.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Park in Nashville, which is kind of crazy to me
because what such a big city.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
What when you say theme park? Because Netflix said they're
opening a theme park in a mall and it's just
a bunch of backdrops from their shows. A theme park
has to have a roller coaster.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah, so this is one hundred acres, So he's gonna
want to do probably more like Dolly would, even though
that's not in Nashville.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
That's in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
All right, but he wants one hundred acres of good, clean,
family fun.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
All right, that's what that's how That's what Walt Disney
wanted when he made up Disneylands.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
All right, so it could be.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
I think it's a good a good option because you've
got disney World in Florida.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
We kind of you kind of need one in between.
Is there anything in Chicago?
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Well, I don't know, talk you're the Chicago expert.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
Yeah, I mean you can get on top of the
bean and like write it down as a slide if
you want, but it's recommended.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
I mean, there's gotta be some time of theme park
in between Florida and like a big one.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
But well, that Maitland. They didn't say when it was coming.
I'm sure it'll be a couple of years.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Don't be making all kinds of money.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
It's Tim and Broh from the Sanderson Forge Studios of
can i x FM Phoenix Good Morning Radio on the
iHeartRadio app and Tonight it's Country Music's Biggest Night Live
from Nashville the Cmas at seven o'clock. Play it on
ABC fifteen on TV. You can listen to it here
on K and I X.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
I feel like the Biggest Battle is Entertainer of the Year.
And I think they're going to give it to Laney.
You think so, because there's got to be some politics
behind it. Morgan Wallan doesn't show up to these things,
so I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it because I
love Morgan, and maybe it was between them and the
committees and the people are going to be like, well,
Laney's out here hosting, she shows up to our awards.
(03:28):
Morgan Wallan's golfing with Tom Brady.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
He didn't care. Why would we give him the award?
Speaker 3 (03:32):
You're right? And I think we used to call this
award show the Church of Country Music, meaning you know,
you can't you can't scorch the earth there, which Morgan
has done a little bit.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Yes, never showing up. Yeah, probably not great if he
wants to win. But guess what, Morgan does not care
about getting an award.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
I like you and maybe even talk to even make
a list of the top three or five things you're
looking forward to seeing tonight on the CMAS. Some cool stuff.
Oh yeah, looking forward to on the CMA's tonight they're
giving you a Lifetime Achievement Award to Vince Gill. And
I love Vince Gill, his voice, his songs. He's another
guy that can play a guitar like a witch. And
(04:10):
do you have a familiarity with Vince at all? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yeah, my mom, the go rest High on the Mountain,
My Gosh was played.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Over and over.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Tell you the first time I heard that song in
the church I grew up in Saint Teresa's right at
Thomas In about forty eighth Street. There was a memorial
service for golfer Heather Farr grew up in the Valley
Asu golfer, pro golfer who got a bad form, a
very rapid form of cancer and died and died very young.
(04:39):
But she had made all these connections with country stars.
Winona sang amazing Grace at the church I grew up
in and Vince Skill showed up. It was the first
time I ever heard that song. He played it on
an acoustic guitar, and I'm like, oh.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
My god, did everyone cry?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
How could you? Yeah not hear that song and just
saw I saw him in the parking lot after where
I used to stay there with my mom as a kid,
going can we go? And I'm talking to vincentying what's
that song about? He goes, well, I wrote it for
my brother, I go.
Speaker 5 (05:08):
Less Man for mercy made me cry.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing him and get a
Lifetime Achievement Award part of the CMAS. You can hear
him here on K and I X started Brook CMA Day.
More on that coming up. Also, big Shots born on
this day we just talked about this guy last week.
Is one of the famous people who was also a veteran.
He was Kylo ren or is Kylo Renn in the
(05:34):
Star Wars movies, and he played Adam Sackler on HBO's
Girls Adam Driver.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
I used to love that show.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Yeah, this is a country music star who sings God
is Great, Beer is Good, and people are crazy.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
Billy Carrington, Billy c and a couple of movie stars.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
She was in. I mean she's been a movie star,
so she was in her teens. She was in Oh gosh,
I can't think of anything, Jodie Foster, what's your most
face this movie?
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Well, you got the Taxi Silence of the Lambs, you
got flight Plan, You've got I mean, just iconic.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
And this movie star is famous for a scene that
she filmed in a New York deli with Billy Crystal.
You went to that deli and been to the deli,
recreated the entire scene.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
No, Meg, Ryan, but I went to Kat's Delhi and
there's a sign and this was two thousand and twelve probably,
and there was a sign over the chair she sat in,
and I don't know if it's still there, but it
was pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Because I'm obsessed with movies and fun.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Fact about that, I'll have what she's having, the famous
line the old lady.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
That was a director's mom.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Oh that's so cool. Yeah, what a great scene. All right.
This is a true fact about human nature is that
our kids, once they learned to speak, shortly after that
they learned to stop talking to you, right, I know.
And so anybody who's been frustrated with a kid when
they come home from school, you say, hey, how was
school fun? What'd you learn today? Nothing? I've got better
(07:00):
questions to ask them.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
Oh, I you maybe the same one as me, but
I have learned to ask one specific question that'll get
more out of your kid.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
Yeah, so find out, get ready to learn some stuff.
All right, it's Tim and Brooke, who's surprised then a
K and I asked secret show Derick Spentley.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Yeah, maybe next time we have one.
Speaker 5 (07:18):
Maybe he's gonna do it.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
We're Tim and Brook. It's Wednesday morning. Much more about
tonight's CMA shows coming up. But if you've ever been
frustrated by kids who don't want to talk when like
the first time you see him at the end of
the day, how is your day fine? What did you
do in school today? Nothing? Here are some better questions.
First of all, what's the one you always ask?
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Well because Bo always says he likes lunch or snack,
and I'm trying to get him to say what did
you learn this? And that you have to say what
was your favorite part of school today?
Speaker 3 (07:48):
That's good?
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Yeah, that gets more than just what'd you do? And
then he says nothing lunch.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Here's questions that you can ask your kid that will
elicit a response. What was school lunch today? Kids, even
if they don't eat it, love to talk about it.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
Does.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
One day I picked Penny up and she's talking about
school lunch and I said, hey, have you ever had
tater tots? And she said, yeah, I don't really like them.
I like the outside, but I don't like the inside.
And I said, well, what about hash browns? She said,
As I said, I like the outside. I was like
as I said, I said, yeah, I was mentioned in
(08:24):
my previous email. Here's another question to ask your kid,
what made you mad today? Okay, I had girls? There
was never not an answer there.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Yeah, that's some drama.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
It can quickly turn it into a wild fire of
a fight. But ask them if anything funny happened at
school today.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
That's a good one.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
And then this is a great one. Who got in
trouble today?
Speaker 5 (08:47):
Ask your kid that probably myself, You say myself.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Yeah, and they'll start talking to anymore when you asked
a little bit better questions.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Yeah, that's my biggest fear because I have only boys.
Is that in twenty years? Because anyone to talk to me?
Speaker 3 (09:01):
I don't know. I hope the new number who is
an off school or the job site with Tim and
Brook this morning, be careful. It's time to play a
fun little game called will Tuck Know It's and the
prize is up for grab.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
It's pretty cool, yeah, Pratt Brothers. Christmas at raw Hide,
I mean anything you can imagine, seven million lights, magical
train ride, holiday shopping, Santa all the things and pretty
pretty cool prize and.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
An elf toy shootout No just kidding. No, I mean
it is raw hide though true. This is Delana from Tempe.
Good morning, Delana, good morning. How are you excellent? I
hope you can play along here and tell us if
you think Tuck's gonna know what Brook's gonna ask him about.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
All right, you, We're gonna ask talk three questions and
each time I'm going to ask you, will Tuck know it?
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Now, you just have to get two of the three
to win. Does that make sense?
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:57):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
The first question, Tuck name the current vice president, now, Delana,
will he know this?
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Yes or no?
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (10:08):
Yes jd Vance.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Okay, come on, all right, all right, good for you.
But second question, Tuck name three Ivy League schools.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Oh man, wait, is he gonna know it? I'm gonna
go with you, Okay.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
I'm trying to think back college soccer days, the Ivy
League schools.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
You probably didn't play a lot of these. At UNLV.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
We were in the funny enough, we were in the
Whack Conference Western Athletic Conference w a C.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
But that's funny, okay. Stanford, No, Stanford is a no
huh no.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Oh man, I can't even think of Ivy League's Stanford.
Speaker 5 (10:54):
What's another smart school.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
I mean, what do I call it? An au?
Speaker 5 (10:59):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (10:59):
Harvard, Yes, there there's one.
Speaker 5 (11:05):
Yeah, no, can't you think of any?
Speaker 2 (11:08):
All right?
Speaker 3 (11:08):
All right, that's a that's you're one and one right.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Now, Harvard, Princeton, Yale.
Speaker 5 (11:14):
All those Yeah, those aren't in my vocabulary.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Okay, last question, what does the word protagonist mean?
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Will he know this? Delena?
Speaker 5 (11:25):
I'm no, Okay, I know this has something.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
Even though I don't read books and like storyline type things,
I know there's a protagonist and an antagonist. Hey, one
of them is a good person, one of them is
a bad person.
Speaker 5 (11:41):
Pro you're pro something, you're for it. Antagonists, I'm guessing
is like anti.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
Like antipasta. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
So protagonist, I'm gonna say, is like the hero or
the good person in a movie or a story.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
He knew it?
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Yeah, that that counts.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
And honestly I can't remember what Delanna picked, so we're
giving her the passes anyway.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Congratulations, thanks for playing along. Wow, you know what? Hearing
Tuck work through these is beautiful.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
It just starts my brain. Actually I can't. I can't
take too much of it. Good job talking. Thank you
Delana for listening to Tim and Brook. It's one of
two five K and IX CMA's tonight. Will Hey, it's
a rainy Wednesday morning on one of two five K
(12:42):
i X. It's gonna last through the morning hours and
then come back later on today and rain again tonight.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
All right, and it's the Big Night. Country Music's Big Night.
The CMA is tonight on ABC. Landy Wilson is hosting.
She's nominated. She's also performing tons of performances. We'll break
everything down a little bit later, but seven pm CMAS.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
I cannot wait.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Yeah, all right, now, tuck, have you because this is
your first year in country music? Have you ever seen
the CMAS before?
Speaker 4 (13:08):
Yes, I've watched it a couple of times before, but
it's been a few a few years.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Okay, yeah, if you're new to country music and haven't watched,
it's the best of the awards shows, they said the
ACMs because all the others, whether it's the Oscars or
the Grammys, they're all about the awards. This is all
about performances. So they have great performances and they have
out a few awards.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Okay, now I'll getting into some business news. Dolly Parton
always coming up with new things. Her new business venture
is truck stops, Dolly's Tennessee and travel Stop. The first
one is launching in Tennessee and she hopes to be
a big chain nationwide, modern amenities and curated dining. And
then Nate Ragatzi, who lives in Nashville. He's friends with
(13:48):
all the country artists. He announced he is going to
launch Nateland. This is Nashville's first theme park in almost
thirty years since Opperland USA closed.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
And that's that was.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Talking to me that Nashville, big of a tourist city
as it is, does not have a theme park and
hasn't for thirty.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Years, unless you consider Lower Broadway and all those pedal
bars for a bachelorette parties. A theme park that's kind
of a ride.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
That's quite a ride.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Yeah, But so no word on when this is going
to open, but he said he has one hundred acres
purchase that and he's going to focus on good, clean,
family fun.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
All right, I think we should throw this out there
on Instagram. Back to the Dolly part and truck stop.
You know we've got BUCkies coming and their big signature
snack is beaver nuggets.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Beaver nugs.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
Yeah, beaver nugs. What would be the dolly part and
equivalent of beaver nugs? I want everybody to think about
that and we'll put it up there. You can chime in.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Tim.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
I want you to think about this before you answer,
because I see your face and you're.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Trying so hard not to make I'm an inappropriate Joe.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
I can't wait to hear what the audience thinks.
Speaker 5 (14:52):
Okay, I love it for your restraint.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
We are coming to you from the Sanderson Ford Studios
of kN Ix FM, Phoenix, Operation Santa Clause twenty fifth year.
We need your help, feed a family, make a kid happy.
You could win a new vehicle from SADR said give
to the clause. Dot com is where you want to
find out all the infant He came to work today.
I wasn't sure you were going to After the photo shoot,
I'm on.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
My second Celsias. That wore me down.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
I hope we got a good shot. The photographer said
that we did, so I trust her. But we took
family photos in Lost Dutchman State Park yesterday, all the
way out in Apache Junction, beautiful backdrop. You can see
some photos little videos on my Instagram at Knike's Brook.
But I told you about my drama with my husband's
sweater that if we needed him to be the pop
of color. It's like a very muted green where in
(15:39):
nature the boys and I are wearing cream and brown,
so it's very earth tone vibekay.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
He has a little quarter zip sweater.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
You have to wear something under that, and silly me,
I thought he would just common sense put a white
or cream or something under it.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
This man comes down the steps in a bright red
shirt under his muted earth tone green.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
And I said, what are you doing and he said,
it's Christmas. I'm the Papa color.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Here we go.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
I said, you absolutely cannot wear a bright red shirt
to this photo shoot. And the part of the reason
I love this man is his confidence. He is a
confident guy, and he's like, I look good, this looks great.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
And I said, you're not gonna get ice cream after
this if you don't change your shirt right now. And
I said, put on a beige or cream and he goes,
I don't know what these words mean. I said, just
wear a white tea like under this, and so he changed.
So he got his ice cream after That's how we started.
Then we got there and something miraculous happened.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
It stopped raining.
Speaker 5 (16:44):
Oh and it was even better.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Because the photographer said, usually this place is packed this
time of year with people taking photos at Golden Hour,
and we have to kind.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
Of wait and lust Dutchman Park.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
Yeah, yeah, and it was clear no one was there.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
That's cool.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
So that part was good.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
And then there's Cam the Tasmanian devil, Donnie from the
Wild thorn Berries. He just turned two, and the photographer's like, okay,
now hold his hand and get his.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
Head tilted to the left and smiling up at you.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
I'm like, lady, you don't have kids, do you got
thirty seconds to get this kid?
Speaker 2 (17:19):
A picture of this kid?
Speaker 1 (17:20):
I mean, he just kept running away, so she goes
you know what we can't do when he still poses.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
We're all gonna do action shots.
Speaker 5 (17:26):
And that's good.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
I hope we got some good ones because we were
constantly moving because we had to its Cam. When he
doesn't want to do something, he goes limp, so he
fell to the ground.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
A lot of the time he.
Speaker 5 (17:39):
Was taking like a self defense class or something.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
No, he literally like falls like Woody and Toy story
when an adult comes in the room like psh, He's
on the ground. So we had to do like running
action shots tossing him in the air.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
This is so entertaining to me listening to your stories
about it, knowing that I don't have to go through
that anymore. We did years of that. We did years
and years of that.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
I know it's it's worth it. In the end memories,
only two people cried of the four.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Cam and then Bo, who was doing an excellent job.
I mean, he just go look on my Instagram.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
He's just posing, doing perfect cooperating.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
And I was like, buddy, you're going to get a
cookie mid photo shoo, you're doing so well.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Cam was off in the bushes, so I was like, here,
here's a cookie bow and he was beaming and he
was holding it up.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Crash comes by and eats his cookie.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Was so distraught. Crash did really well.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
He's old now, so he's mostly just sitting there going
can we just can I just lay down?
Speaker 3 (18:45):
Okay? You wanted these pictures not just for your Christmas
card or whatever, but you want to, you know, blow
this picture up and hang it on your wall. Yes, right,
which is cool. There's one picture of our family we
did that with. We took it as a Christmas card picture,
and there we are, all all six of us, were
at Granada Park and there's Peak majestically behind us.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Oh that's pretty.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
It's a great photo. And I hung on a wall
for many years, but every time I looked at it,
I go we were all so angry at each other,
and the con was mad at everybody in that picture. Yeah,
no matter what we look like, that's what I remember
that photo.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
I hope the.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Same thing because I was obviously frustrated with Cam Brian
with the shirt and then bo was I try to
get him stopped crying.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
So I'm probably like, Merry Christmas.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
That's your smile. Mom, what's wrong?
Speaker 2 (19:35):
We made it?
Speaker 3 (19:37):
I want you to have your husband, Brian watch some
Project Runway episodes with Tim.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Gunn, Dylan Scott one O, two five, K and I X.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
Good morning.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
We're Tim and Brooke and the Cmas are on tonight
ABC at seven, and we want to go through who
we think is going to win or who should win?
Speaker 3 (19:56):
Correct.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Now, we're going to go through Female Vocals of the
Year and Male Voteocalist. Which one do you want to do?
Speaker 2 (20:01):
First?
Speaker 3 (20:01):
Let's do the females. They nominees tonight are Lane Wilson,
Megan Marony, Ella Langley, Kelsey Ballerini, and Miranda Lambert.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
Who should win? Brook Laney, Lane?
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Yeah? How could you not now who?
Speaker 1 (20:18):
This is so hard because I want you to think
a couple years back, it was always, Oh, it's going
to be Miranda or Carrie, and then they'd kind of
throw someone in there, just they were.
Speaker 5 (20:27):
Kind of throwing the bone, right, They were kind of.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Trying to find females to fill the category.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
But this makes me so happy that any one of
these girls are on top of their game and could win. Yeah,
but I love Miranda Lambert so much. I'm not gonna
be mad if she wins, and then I love Ella.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Yeah. I think Laney will probably win. But there's two
dark horses. It could be Megan Maroney or Ella Langley.
They've both had outstanding years. They've really moved the needle,
if you will, and so I think it's going to
be between those three. Probably Laney because not only is
she hosting the show, she had her own breakout tour,
(21:03):
and she plays the game. She has played the game. Yes,
if you don't play the game in Nashville, you don't
get as many votes.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
Do you think When they're reading this category on stage
live tonight, Riley Green's squirming a little bit because he
stated three of the five.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Tuck, you're kind of the newcomer, the outsider, if you will,
who do you like?
Speaker 4 (21:21):
I mean, I gotta go with my girl, Kelsey Ballerini.
But if for being honest, I do think Laney is
going to win as well, and my sleeper is going
to be Ella Ella because her voice, she just got
that little like raspiness to her voice that is kind
of unique and different in what she's done so far
is just insane.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
They won't give it to Kelsey. I really don't think so.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
And think what Ella did this year. She did all
of the you know, the collabse with people, so she
kind of broadened more than just her own star in
country music. She could be slightly ahead of Mega MAROONI,
which if she wins it, I won't be surprised either.
So all right, that's the Female Artist of the Year.
The male vocalist, we've got Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallin, Luke Colms,
(22:06):
Cody Johnson, and Zach.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Top All right, now you know my number one dude
is Luke Colms. They're not going to give it to him.
He didn't do much this year. He didn't have a
new album, he didn't.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
Made a baby brook Well, okay, didn't do much. I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Well she the wife is doing more. He put in
a couple of minutes, but.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
He gets songwriting credits.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
What I'm saying is he didn't have a bunch of
new songs, a tour or whatever. But the CMA seemed
to love Chris Stapleton. I think they'll they'll give it
to him and not I think Morgan's.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Gonna get snubbed. Yeah, I think he should win it.
Morgan should be the winner.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
He's gonna get snubbed. I think here and also when
we talk Entertainer of the Year, I'll tell you why
a couple of reasons, But the one to watch is
Zach top because not only does is he is he's
made a splash with fans, but he's bringing back that
nineties country vibe and they really like that in Nashville.
So I'd say he's your dark horse. But I agree,
(23:03):
I think it's gonna be Chris Stapleton, Tuck. What do
you think I'm.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
Going Morgan Wallen just with this tour and everything he
did this year.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
I know he doesn't have good standings with the CMAS
and all that stuff, but I just think, I mean,
he's just so good it.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Should be him.
Speaker 5 (23:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
I don't think it will, but I guess you never know.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
All Right, So Brook and I say Chris Stapleton for
Male Vocalist, and we all agree it's probably gonna be Laney,
but watch out for the newcomers.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Watch out.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Okay, we'll get to the Entertainer of the Year next.
Like you said, it's on ABC fifteen tonight. It'll be
on Hulu tomorrow. But if you want to hear it
live while you're driving seven o'clock tonight, you'll hear the
CMA's right here on one O two five K and
I one O two five K NIX. You got Tim
and Brooke on a rainy CMA morning.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
Yeah, we're sharing our predictions of who's gonna win, who
we think should, and who we think they're gonna give
it to Entertainer of the Year.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
Here are the nominees.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
Luke HOLMBS, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, and Laney Wilson.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Tim He's got.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
No doubt in my mind, it should be Morgan Wallen.
Hands down, he had the biggest commercial year. He's the
biggest buzz in country music. He probably brings more people
to country music than any of the other artists. But
again there's this bias towards Chris Stapleton, which there's nothing
wrong with Chris Stapleton. They give it him the award.
It's just like they've handed him to like he's got
to have a trouble finding where to put them all
(24:28):
at some point, right.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
It's true. I think that it should be Morgan Wallen.
His tour was just.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
On another level and like you said, he's everywhere. But
they will give it to Laney Wilson.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
That's my bick as well. I think it's going to
be Laney.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Yeah, she plays the game better, she is hosting it,
she is showing up for the awards, and I think
there's politics behind it. I think that they're like, well,
Morgan's not showing up to our award show, we're not
going to give him this. And he even makes little
digs on stage right with Ella Langley on Broadway. He goes,
it's go to take a lot more than an award.
Show to get me to show up at on the
(25:03):
stage on Broadway.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
Yeah, and he last year, I think this really hurt
his chances. On the CMA morning he was somewhere else
in the country golfing with Tom Brady.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
He was like, was he in Ireland or something overseas?
He truly doesn't care, And I don't think the powers
it be like that. So they they'll give it to Laney,
who very much plays the game and by the way,
deserves it.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Yeah. And not only that her tour, she's hosting the show.
She's nominated six times tonight, and she's appearing in other platforms.
You know, she was on Yellowstone, She's in this new
movie that you love from the Colleen Hoover is that
Oh yes, I saw her in a trailer.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
And I'm like, oh my god, blanking.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
But and you know how, like I said, Luke Colmbs
is my number one guy. He's just he didn't do
a tour this year and didn't do a lot of
new stuff.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
Even Luke Combs said, I think it's going to be Laney,
or I'd love it if it was Cody Johnson.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
Well, everyone loves Cody.
Speaker 4 (25:56):
Yeah, who do you think Young Tuck thousand percent has
to be Morgan walling. But because of everything he does,
not showing up all the kind of you know crap,
you could say he talks, it's gotta go to Laney though.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Yeah, because if Chris Young is a voting member, he's
not gonna get morganin Oh voting on that.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
I mean that what he said, don't play any Chris Young.
I don't like Chris Young.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
Yeah, I know so. Like I said, the ABC fifteen tonight,
you can hear it on K and I X. It's
the CMA's Live from nash Vegas Music City, USA. All Right,
we're gonna roll commercial free. We may throw a few
of our other picks, like the best New Artist category
is hot, it's hard to pick. Yeah, one of those
who's it going to be? And a song of the Year,
(26:42):
things like that. We'll roll next.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
Shaboozy one O two five, K and I X word
Tim and Brook, Tim, you got any good news for us?
Speaker 3 (26:50):
I got some good news for you.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
There was a hotel opening and not a hotel, ad
an apartment building opening in downtown Phoenix that I bet
Young Brook, when she first moved to town would have
moved into it's the craziest concept I've ever heard. I'll
tell you just a little bit. We're rolling commercial free
Chaboozi one of the nominees for Best New Country Artist
tonight at the CMA's and they say this is the
tightest race of pretty much all of the categories. We'll
(27:15):
get into who the nominees are and who we think
should win. They say it's a three way race, and
Shaboozi is one of them. So little Tea's there.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
Yeah, I think he could win. Yeah, he's got a
real chance.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
Also, did you say they've put out a list of
the top podcasts? Are they?
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (27:32):
So I have a list of Now, each streaming service
is different, the iHeartRadio app versus Spotify versus Apple, but
they're kind of the same.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Things float within the top five. But what do you want?
Speaker 3 (27:43):
First tell me how did the home company rate iHeart iHeart.
Let's get our heart on.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
So Joe Rogan was number four on this list and
everywhere else he's number one. Then stuff you should know,
Then Dateline, then Ruthie's table.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
I'd look this up.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
It's a British okaying a lot of famous people on it.
And then Spotify, Joe Rogan's number one, then Shane Gillis,
Tucker Carlson this past weekend with theovonn Oh Yeah, Crime Junkie,
and then Armchair Expert, which I love. I just listened
to the Jennifer Aniston one is number eleven, and then
on Apple Joe Rogan number one.
Speaker 5 (28:17):
The Daily, The Daily.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Do you listen to that?
Speaker 4 (28:19):
No?
Speaker 2 (28:19):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Then Mel Robbins, Crime Junkie and Dateline NBC at number five.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
Interesting, No, call her daddy.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Call her daddy? On Apple was number seven. She's always
floating in the top ten on every list.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
Yeah, what about the Tim and Brooke recap are daily
highlights of her show.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
It's just outside the top ten.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
I think it's like when they play Christmas music. It's
just that's you know, it's a foregone conclusion. It's going
to be number one, but it is available every day.
You can catch up on the Tim and Brook Show
on the free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 5 (28:51):
Let me tell you that, Let me tell you that.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
Joe Rogan, Theo Vaughn and Alex Cooper are shaking in
their boots.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
If they're wearing boots, they are shaking. And then for sure, yeah,
alex Is We're short outs. Today they are rain Boots.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Brook famous friends, Chris Young, Kane Brown, one two five
K and I X is really hard not to say
Chris Brown.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Can you combine their names?
Speaker 3 (29:21):
I did that a few times. Yeah, and uh, Corey Heart.
I kept saying Corey Hart when I met Corey Kent.
We're Tim and Brooke and uh. I want you to
think of when Brooke first moved to town. Spin your
mental clock back when you got here, What was it
eight or ten years ago? Now?
Speaker 2 (29:37):
Oh, something like that.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
I was twenty five years old, didn't know really anything
about life.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
Now you found a place to live in the world's
largest cul de sac back then, Awa Tuki.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
Awa Tuki, which I'd love to live now. It's such
a good family place. But at twenty five, yeah, that
wasn't the place for me.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
They are building Downtown Brook, a new apartment building that
is based on Mario Kart Rainbow Road, which I heard
you say time and again you could beat anybody in
Mario Kark.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
I stand by that.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
I've beaten the entire game, even on special supern Into.
Know you give me Yoshi now, don't give me Bowser,
don't give me don Kyong.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
If you give me Yoshi, I will destroy you.
Speaker 5 (30:19):
Okay, Tuck challenge accepted.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
You don't even know this new apartment building downtown that's
based on Mario Kart. The builder says there's a ton
of Easter eggs incorporated into the building. One of them
is that it's a twelve sided building, which represents Mario
Kart's track and all the different cornering and the fact
that it's not just a square track, but it has
a lot of twists and turn So one of the
design elements to look for is you progress up. You
(30:44):
level up with each floor, So I don't know if, like,
do you have to win your way to live on
the top floor. It's challenging.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
I have questions.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
So when you go out in your hall and you're
trying to get somewhere, are you going to be slipping
on banana peels?
Speaker 2 (30:56):
He's like a red turtle shell coming for me.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
To check it out. What is going to open and
see if we can get a tour? Nineteen hundred dollars
a month average price to rent there.
Speaker 5 (31:09):
You were raised at.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
Two five Kay and I X. We're Tim and Brooks
cmas are tonight. Who do you have Tim for new
Artists of the Year.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
Well, this is a tight race. You got nominees Ella Langley, Shaboozi,
Zach Top, Tucker Wetmore, and Steven Wilson Jr.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
Who he's not young, right, but he's just so wildly
popular in this past year.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
Okay, the front runner is actually Ella Langley because she
is a part of one of the biggest songs of
the year, which was You Look Like You Loved Me
with Riley Green, which not only elevated her, introduced her really,
but it elevated Riley who'd had several hit songs before.
But people were like, oh, yeah, who's Riley Green. I
don't know, we do, We've been knowing where Green was
(31:58):
looking at him. Zach Top is a strong contender, and
Shaboozi also in the running. A lot of people think
he's got an inside track. I'm gonna go l L.
Langley for sure.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
I think I'm gonna go Ella Langley. But Zach Top,
it's so hard. He's so undeniable. His not only his songs,
his charisma, his stage presence. I saw him open up
for Dirks this I'm like this guy. And then Tucker Weentmore.
He's amazing.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Oh that's right.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
He's got such good songs. He's fun, he's charming.
Speaker 3 (32:26):
Think of that. He could show up in less than
two weeks at our Knox Hometown Holiday with a CMA
trophy in his hand. Man, How cool is that? That's
really handy if we need to prop his door open.
ITTs Celebrity Theater, very heavy. The guy who won the
best New Knix Employee of the Year. It's Tucker, our
own Tucker. Who do you like? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (32:46):
I gotta go hands down Ella Langley. Yeah, it's got
to be her and she just needs to bless us
all getting up there on stage looking beautiful and yeah,
all right.
Speaker 6 (32:56):
Can't objectify women's beautiful Brook by the way, Yeah, I'm
sure Tucker Wetmore is going to play this song at
our show.
Speaker 3 (33:06):
But the brunette song. Yes, yeah, it's about a guy
who what got tired of dating blondes with those rings?
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Tuck, maybe you come on over to the dark side.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
Well, if there anything like Brook Hoover, geez.
Speaker 3 (33:25):
What we hire this guy?
Speaker 2 (33:26):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Honestly, there's Megan Maroney. We're rolling commercial free. We got
your tickets to the Hometown on holiday.
Speaker 5 (33:32):
At just a minute.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
One O two five, K and I X or Tim
and Brook, and we are going to send somebody who
then if they win this game, we'll send them. I
don't want to make any promises here. We're gonna send
them to the KNX hometown Holiday less than two weeks away,
celebrity theater. Okay, Tucker Wetmore, who you'll see on tonight's
CMA Awards. Uh, Tuck tried this with us last week.
(33:56):
He's gonna throw initials at us. Is that right? Yep.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
I'm gonna throw initials at you.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
It's going to be a first initial in the last
initial and you can you can go vice versa. I'll
just give you two letters and you got to name
a famous person with those initials.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
Okay, Okay, Now our contestant is Kim Kim.
Speaker 5 (34:12):
Yeah, we got Kim from Glendale.
Speaker 3 (34:14):
Hello, Kim. Hey, Hey, now you have to decide's gonna
give us three of these? Who's gonna do better?
Speaker 1 (34:21):
Me?
Speaker 3 (34:21):
Or Brook?
Speaker 4 (34:24):
Tells me?
Speaker 5 (34:25):
Brook, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Okay, If you win, like Tim said, you're going to
our CANUX hometown holiday. If you lose, you can see
Tucker Benton, our producer. You get to see him instead
of Tucker web More, he'll send your picture.
Speaker 5 (34:37):
Man, that's a great prize right there.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
Yeah, he'll send you. You'll be the first to get
a picture of him the next time he gets a
new pair of sneakers.
Speaker 4 (34:44):
Oh, coming soon, all right, all right, first initials are
Jay L, Jennifer, Lawrence.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
Lu who's that actor John Lee that was the League.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
Of their Own? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (35:01):
And other things? But uh, all right, all right, Brook,
you got that one.
Speaker 5 (35:05):
One point for Brook.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
Next letters s S Scott Speed.
Speaker 5 (35:10):
Then Zarah looks like Brooks. Who's who's Scott Speed?
Speaker 2 (35:15):
He was in Felicity, He's He's cute.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
I think I tied you on that one, because yeah,
I think so too.
Speaker 5 (35:24):
I heard Tim that was definitely.
Speaker 4 (35:30):
Let's see who knows their country artists c s. But
Brook at a point that means, Kim, you are going
to our K and I X hometown holiday.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
Yeah, I'm happy for you, Kim, And uh yeah, Tuckle
still send you a picture next time he gets a
new pair of sneakers, which is probably like later today. Yeah,
he doesn't need him anymore, not playing soccer. I guess
Kay and I X can it's one O two five k.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
And IX Dolly Parton has a new business venture. She's everywhere.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
She's got the genes, she's got the baking, all the stuff.
Now it's Dolly Parton's truck Stops. The first one is
in Tennessee, naturally, the Tennessee and Travel stop with modern
amenities and curated dining, and she hopes to make this
a nationwide thing for all truckers and people traveling.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
We would welcome a Dolly Parton truck stop here. Now
we are getting a Bucky's and people are very excited
about that. That's more than a truck stop. I mean,
it's a it's an empire the mall. But the big
signature snack at BUCkies is beaver nuggets. So I had
Tuck put on Instagram. If Bucky sells beaver nuggets, what
is Dolly Parton's truck stops big signature snack going to be?
(36:45):
What do we got, Tuck?
Speaker 5 (36:46):
So we got a couple of responses.
Speaker 4 (36:47):
First one is from de Bay and she said Dolly's Donuts.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
Okay, all right, okay.
Speaker 5 (36:54):
Double d Dolly's Donuts.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
That was gonna be one of mine. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (37:00):
Then Mesh Mesh mesh my bell said sorry, that was
a tough one.
Speaker 5 (37:09):
Said Queen Nuggets.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
Queen nuggets, Queen. Yeah, I had Dolly's dumplings and just
spell it with double D on the dumplings part. Joe
Leane Jerky, Oh, I like that about this one For
those of you need to pour yourself a little cup
of ambition, Dolly's nine to five hour energy drink good.
(37:31):
And if you're trying to eat healthier, you don't eat meat?
What about and will always love tofu?
Speaker 2 (37:42):
Okay, that one needs a little work, like the five
hour energy. That one, let's rework.
Speaker 5 (37:48):
That I like.
Speaker 7 (37:49):
I like the double D'SI K and I carry Underwood
one two five K and I X Today's Best Country
Small Time Favorites.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
We're Tim and brook.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
I got an assignment for us. All. I want you
to think of a single sentence or statement that has
stuck with you or helped you in life, A piece
of advice or something like that.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
Oh I got it, you do?
Speaker 3 (38:14):
Yeah, all right, talk you too. We'll get to that
coming up next with Tim and Brooke on one O
two five K I X
