Speaker 1 (00:03):
Way from the k and Ix studios in the iHeartMedia
building too. We share with a random bank downstairs in
a questionable area of Phoenix. It's Monday, April twenty first
National Kindergarten Day.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
On the timmin Brook Show.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
I wonder why.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
I don't know. It's just what the That's just what
the website said.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Okay, website, All.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Right, Okay, it is finally happening. It is official. They
have closed the deal in Gilbert for the very first
bow Jangles. Oh really, yes, And I have the location
val Vista Vista and Germaine, yep. And it's just a
they said, just across basically from the Chipotle there. They're
gonna have twenty locations in the valley. And if you're going,

(00:42):
what is a Bojangles. It's a fast food chain based
in North Carolina, started in North Carolina. It's like Southern cooking.
It's fried chicken. The breakfast is unmatched. Biscuits. We got
the bowberry biscuit, the potato round.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
It is so good.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Yeah, I cannot wait, and so I do. We're doing
a staycation this weekend at the Sheridan Granite wild Horse
Pass and always the first night I go by myself
and I just take a night.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
It's glorious.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
So I posted like a picture of me watching Friends,
which is what I do. Thirty minutes later, I pick
up my phone and I'm like, oh, no, did I
like post something weird or something in the background, because
my DMS and my phone blows up.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah, and it's all people going, look, look, they just
announced this news. Bojangle's coming and I just made my day.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Does it say when they're going to open.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
It doesn't say when.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
They just close the deal on purchasing like the property,
so I'm assuming it's going to be a while.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
They haven't even broken ground.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
I wonder what will be open first, the BUCkies in
Goodyear or the bow Jangles in Gilbert.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
I would think the BUCkies because they announced that first.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Yeah. They pushed it back though, so we'll see.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
But your life will be changed once you have the
bowberry biscuit.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Okay, Tuck, what would be because you're an Arizona guy
like me, what would be something we would be similarly
excited about if, say, we live in North Carolina and
something from here was opening there. I was thinking, like
a Philiberto's, Yeah, you guys are not gonna believe this
one of the Berto's Philiberto's is coming to North Carolina.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
I mean we talked about it before, and Tim and
I obviously love it. Fahidas, I mean, there's nothing. If
you had Fahidas, you would know what we're talking about.
Yet it was unreal.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
It's not it's not Arizona based, obviously, but in and
Out isn't in North Carolina, and I wish it would
get there.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
It was a big deal when that happened here too.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Yes, and then in very strange news, I had to
double take on this, Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray cyrus
Hard launched their relationship on Instagram, saying Happy Easter with
a picture of them kissing.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
What yeah, what?

Speaker 2 (02:39):
What? What is going on?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
That doesn't make sense? That might have been, sadly what
pushed the pope over the edge, because that's also the
other big story today.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
I was like, wait, the Elizabeth Hurley or something.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
It's just a girl named Elizabeth Hurley. I was so
confused because he's been in the news lately because they
say his kids says having problems, and then what a way,
Like there was no rumors about this. It was just like, hey, world,
here we are.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Yep, you know what.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
I hope they're happy. But that was that was shockingly
How how did that even come to be?

Speaker 3 (03:10):
We don't know. I don't think we want to know
at this point. It's early on a Monday, after a
beautiful weekend. It's gonna be low nineties.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
I guess we'll take that, you know, I'll take it.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
It's Tim and Brook coming to you from the Sanderson
Ford Studios of k and I X FM, Phoenix one
O two five k n I x A. Good morning.
It's Tim and Brook here on this Monday. There's freeways,
parts of freeway, clothes, there's all kinds of things happening,
breaking news. The Pope has passed away. Oh we did

(03:42):
on the day after Easter.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah no, I didn't know that.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
I mean, everything's happening here. How are you doing? Brook?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Good?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Now now that I know the Pope died, I that's terrible.
I mean he was was he old?

Speaker 3 (03:53):
He's eighty eight years old? Yeah? Yeah, so that'll be
a big, a big news story today. But I know you.
You had trials and tribulations just getting here. You had
your babysitter, Oh god, I had the bail in the
middle of the night.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Yeah, at three am, I wake up to a text,
so can't come Like, well that's great. So yeah, I
had to kind of shift things around and yeah, then
the free I was like.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
This is not what I need.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Yeah, the freeways closed.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Open back up my ramp.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
We mentioned the two two at the fifty one was
closed at least a half hour ago, and so they're
diverting people everywhere. I tried to squeek squeeze through the airport.
That was a bad idea. That was just backed up. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Anyway, well, good luck getting to where you're getting today.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Now it's Monday morning. You got us here for the ride.
It is the CANi Ax Military Meal scheduled for one
month from to day. We're going to host a lunch
at Bonfire in Surprise.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Very cool. We'll get you all the details as.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
The show goes on. Yeah, but I'm excited that we're
finally doing something like this.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
We've been talking about this for so long.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Yeah, it has been in the planning stages, but we
got it. That's mark your calendar four May twenty First,
we'll have details on our social media at can Ice Country,
all active duty service members and veterans. We'll reserve a
free meal on at the Bonfire Kitchen and Tap House
in surprise thanks to our friends at santers and Ford.
So there we go. One month from today. All right,

(05:20):
we're bootscooting on Monday. We've got post malone tickets today,
don't we We.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Do seven twenty five.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Your chance is the posting June twenty first State Farm Stadium.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Less than fifteen minutes, we got details on our K
and I X military meal. If you are active duty
or a veteran, we want to treat you to some
free food. I will tell you all about it. Coming
up with Tim and Brook this morning.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Hey got to give a shout out to Sheridan Grant
at Wildhorse Pass.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
We did a staycation there.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
We do it every year, but we've never done it
for Easter and it was so much fun. I highly
recommend it next year you, especially if you have little kids.
The Easter egg hunt, the Easter bunny, I mean, and
even not when it's Easter. The it's so family friendly.
The pools are great, staff's awesome.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
I saw a picture of Bo wrapped up in a
towel pool side. He looks like vacation bow vacation.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Bob was activated and yes, he was wrapped up in
a towel and he told me, Mom, I needs snacks
in my mouth.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
I'm like, he didn't even unwrap from the towel to
put them in his mouth.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
I defeed him snack's poolside And I'm like, this kid
is living the life. But yeah, I have some pictures
on my Instagram at k and ix Brook Best Vacation
in Town.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
We had a the.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Last We're here on a Monday, getting you through your
day wherever you're going work, school, or the job site.
You got us on k and ix. Yes, one, O
two five knix with Tim and Brook on this Monday
and about in fact, exactly one month from today, we
are going to host a k and ix Military appreciation meal.

(06:47):
We just want to say thanks to all the men
and women who serve, whether they're active duty or veterans.
They're family members as well, and so this thing is
happening May twenty first at Bonfire Kitchen and Tap House
in Supprise.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Okay, so we want everyone to join and your family
and space is limited, so you've got to make a
reservation and you.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Can call them.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
So we're gonna put the number up on our Instagram
at can Ix Country, and it's on our website right
now and the number is six two three two nine
five four five six seven. Now, if you're driving, you
can't write that down again. It's on our Instagram and
we want you to make a reservation and join us
so that we can say thank you.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Yeah, it's on I put it on mind already too
at can Ix TWM on Instagram. I'm just looking at
Bonfire and this is to me. A restaurant oftentimes tries
to be fancy, tries to be the new trendy thing,
and they mess it up. This is not what they
have done at Bonfire.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
I've never been. It looks good though.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
They've got food that will stick to your ribs, right.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
I mean, and he's a restaurant that serves meat loaf.
First of all, it is going to be high on
my list. They've got a pot roast on the menu,
They've got wood fired pizzas, burgers, all the apps. But
they also have a dessert brook called a Brookie.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Oh, a brownie and a cookie. Yeah, gotta love see
that's what I'm talking about. You know that.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
That's my pet peeve with like fine dining or fancy dining.
They always have the weirdest desserts, like just give me
a chocolate cake.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Don't give me like.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
A raspberry mint drizzled. So just give me a cookie
and a brownie and I'm good.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
A Brookie. Just ask for a Brookie. Anyway, Active duty
and veterans, we want to say thank you for what
you do, and so our K and IX Military appreciation
meal is May twenty first, Bonfire in Surprise. Details on
our Instagram. It's on mine as well. They also have
a root beer float.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
I mean it's it's timeless.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
Yes, that's Taylor Swift one O two five K and
I X brook As you were sitting there dooms growing
all by yourself on your staycation on Friday night? Anyway,
did you see anything from Coachella that made you say, man,
I wish I was there.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
No, I kept seeing things that maybe go I'm so
glad that I'm on a staycation here and not at Coachella.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
All right, we'll detail a couple of bizarre things that
may have happened over the weekend. It's tim and Brooke.
I noticed that Dave Grohl performed at Coachella with an
orchestra and a children's choir. Could you imagine being the
parents of a child that was going to perform with
Dave Grohl anywhere, but especially driving out there to Coachella

(09:28):
the festival grounds.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah, I don't want my child anywhere near Coachella. I've
seen what happens out there.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
I mean, are all the kids in flower crowns? What's happening?

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:37):
I don't know, but I did see Lady gagat too
had a microphone malfunction and then she's like, hey, at
least you guys know I'm always singing live.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
That's true.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
I mean, that's how we do know.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
A lot of people were saying she finally put on
a Lady Gaga esque performance is very theatrical.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Yeah, well that's what she does best.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
It's almost like a super Bowl halftime show.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Yeah. Do you think so?

Speaker 1 (09:58):
I heard someone talking about Coachella and it used to
be kind of an alternative place right where you saw
Green Day, which Green Day was there, and now it's
become for Instagram and you want to be seen there
and you're not even familiar, Like do you think the
people that are there are familiar with the Foo Fighters music?

Speaker 2 (10:17):
I don't think so, probably not, probably not at all.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
Also, somebody was saying, you know, everything requires a wristband
that's activated with your credit card, and it was very commercialized.
It wasn't sort of the free flowing kind of Woodstock
vibe that I think they might have been going for originally.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Yeah, Coachella is not for me, but if it's for
you now stage coach I've never been, and I think
sounds fun because it's all the every music I love.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
But Gotchella. If you if you got free passes, would
you go?

Speaker 1 (10:47):
No?

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Okay, uh no?

Speaker 3 (10:49):
And I can tell you you asked asked a question.
What about the VIP section at Woodstock? There was none.
I guarantee there was a VIP section at Coachella.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Yeah, I'm still it's I don't know if it's ever
been confirmed that there was no VIP at Woodstock.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
I'm telling it.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Call us if you win, let us know.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
One O two five kN I ets with Tim and
Brooke one number away. I'll tell you what that number
is right now, twenty six point three. I just opened
up the Boston Athletic Association app on my phone and
I'm going to track my daughter. She's running in the
Boston Marathon today.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Oh my gosh, I know I could never get to
one mile. Like that's it for me.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
I went back there to see her running in the
very first time she did it. This is their six
to one. It's such a cool vibe through the whole town.
It's like, I mean marathons, you know, the Rock and
Roll Marathon here is fun, but there's nothing like the
Boston Marathon. They plan a home Red Sox game and
they start early enough that the game is letting out

(11:52):
when most of the runners are running by the stadium
Fenway Park, just so they could get cheered on by
a bunch of drunken Red Sox fans. But fun, it's cool.
So what else is going on today?

Speaker 2 (12:03):
I just one more thing. I just the runners high.
Have you ever gotten a runners high?

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Because I've run, I was an athlete Division I college athlete,
I have never gotten a runners high.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
I've done a ten k and a few five k's,
and you know, I get the runners high about about
two minutes into the five k, and that's it. I
think a five k is as far as I could run,
even if I was being chased by like a cheetah.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Same. Yeah, Well, that's you wouldn't get that far at all. No,
but today's top stories.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
So I got so many text messages on Friday and
dms on my phone.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
About did you see this? Did you see this?

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Yes, bo Jangles has its first location, and I'm going
to tell you when and where.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Okay, one, O, two, five K n I axally are
Tim and Brooke. And on this Monday, the day after Easter,
the news the big story, you know, the global story,
is that Pope Francis has passed away. He did so
earlier this morning up the Anakin and he did have
a blessing for the crowd at the Vatican yesterday that

(13:06):
showed up for the Easter service, but that was it.
He'd been battling with complications from pneumonia for the last
few months. So he was eighty eight years old.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
And you said that because I asked. There's no vice pope,
so they have to elect or vote.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Yeah, on another.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
One, they will vote, go into voting. There's a whole
process through it and we wait for the smoke, but
that won't come for a while.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Okay, all right, Today's top Stories. Bojangles is coming to Arizona.
Now we knew this, but what people sent me on Friday, like,
oh my gosh, it's official. Is they closed the deal
to have the first location in Gilbert Now it's near
the Chipotle, val Vista and Germain And they're going to
have twenty locations spread out all over the valley. I hope,

(13:50):
because I'm all the way up in Desert Ridge and
I hope there's one close to there. But it is happening,
and I think I'm just going to go and like
bring a hammer and volunteer to help because I want
this to be done by the end of the year,
which when we talked to the CEO that he did
say it could happen by the end of this year,
but most likely twenty twenty six.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
This was funny about it. The CEO of Bojangles, which
there's the stores throughout the South.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
It's based in North Carolina, started in North Carolina's where
I'm from, but they didn't.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
They were talking about western expansion, and they've had meetings
in town, and sometime during their meetings, somebody said, well,
there's this crazy Bojangles fan. She's on the radio here
in town. And so before they went to the airport,
they stopped by just to bring you some Bojangles swag,
and the guy was nice as could be, and he
promised that they would one day open some stores here

(14:42):
in the valley.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah, and I'm so excited. You guys have no idea
what's coming for you. It's fried chicken, and the breakfast
is really where they shine. The bowberry biscuit. They've got
just the southern cooking.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
It is so good.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Now it's fast food and it's not gonna kick start
your health journey.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
But that's okay.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Sometimes when you've had a little too much to drink,
it is the actual cure. There you go the next
morning there's bo Jangles. And then, on a completely random note,
Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley hard launched the relationship
on Instagram by a picture of them kissing and said
Happy Easter. What a way, What a way for the
world to find out Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus

(15:20):
are dating.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
Is everything? Okay?

Speaker 2 (15:22):
I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
I don't think it's okay in Billy Ray's world. I
wonder if she's all right.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
I don't have no words.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
Okay, we'll wait for more on that story. And we're
sure it's not ai.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
I mean they posted it to their own They both
they collaborated with each other. I mean, can you imagine
the discussion. Hey, I think we should just let the
world know kiss me on Easter. We'll just say Happy
Easter and put it out there to the world.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
There, it is all right, coming up. We're going to
do a draft for the best Disney stars Disney Channel stars. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
AI released a mount rushmore of Disney stars and people
are like, oh, they got this so wrong.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
People were bad. So we're going to do our own.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
We'll try to get it right. Also, we've got postmo
own tickets for you. At seven twenty five. It's Tim
and Brook from the Sanderson Ford Studios of K and
I X FM Phoenix one two five K and I
X we'd like to take that high road here Tim M.
Brook on the radio and on the iHeartRadio app wherever
you are listening. Now, you said this happened this weekend

(16:25):
they got there. There was a list released of the
best Disney Channel stars by AI, and people didn't like it.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Yeah, they made a mount rushmore so top four Disney
stars and people were like, what how could you leave
off blank?

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Or this is not right? And it went viral.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
Okay, I did a quick review of kind of when
the Disney Channel became what we know is the Disney
Channel now, which they started creating their own, you know,
programming just for the show rather than you know, the
Mickey Mouse Club or Mickey Mouse Cartoons or whatever. That
was around early two thousands and so we'll take a
look and do our own, not Mount Rushmore, but our

(17:01):
own picks in the Tim and Brook Monday Draft.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
So justin Timberlake and Britney Spears and all them, they
don't count, I.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Would say, no. I mean, we're talking about programming made
just for Disney Channel from two thousand and nine. Okay,
all right, it's Tim and Brook with talk one, O
two five, k NIX.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
One topic, three choices, who wins.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Yeah, it's our Tim and Brook Monday Morning Draft, brought
to you by Harrah's Auctionen Casino. And you said that
AI picked the Disney Channel stars for a Mount Rushmore
and they got it wrong. Who did they pick?

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Well, I'm not going to tell you because I may
give you some ideas.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Oh you think I don't know my Disney stars.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
I think you may not know your Disney stars.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
Okay, we're tiring Disney Channel. And really, although it was
around from nineteen eighty three, it wasn't until two thousand
and one. That's when the Kim Possible Show, you know,
programming made just for the channel, really started to kick
things in the gear. Two thousand and four, The Cheetah Girls,
That's so raven, Secret Life of Zack and Cody, and

(18:06):
of course High School Musical and Hannah Moon Te Well, yeah,
all right, that's the draft results from last week. Left
talk with the number one pick, I go second, and
Brook your third. It's three picks in a snake style draft.
What is up, Tucker?

Speaker 4 (18:20):
All right, so number one gotta go Miley Cyrus Yah
aka Hannah Montana.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Yep, that's I mean, that's obvious.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
She's probably had the most one of the most successful careers.
Her dad's not doing great, didn't seem like, but you.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
Know he just wants to gravy train her as long
as he cans. Well, they're not talking now, so it
doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
They're not talking.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
Wow, Okay, going with Miley Cyrus. Then Tim here with
a second pick. I'm gonna say Selena Gomez.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
That's a good one.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
Wizards of Waverley Place.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Yeah, at one point she I don't know if she
still is, but she was the most followed female celebrity
on Instagram, and I don't know, maybe it's a Kardashian now,
but very popular.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
All right, Brook, you got first and second pick?

Speaker 1 (19:03):
All right, Hillary Duff walked so Miley Cyrus could run.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
Lizzie McGuire.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Okay, Yeah, Laia.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Came first, and she kind of set the stage for
that because she too was a pop star who had hits. Now,
obviously Miley was more famous, but I think she laid
the groundwork and she's underappreciated. I was in middle school
or elementary school whenever it was obsessed with Lizzie McGuire.
Then I'm gonna go with zac Efron just because that face.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
You know, that face and those abs.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
That face and.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Those abs, And he's had a pretty good career in Hollywood,
and he doesn't seem like he's had too many what's
the word scandals? Really, you know sometimes those Disney Channel
stars went nuts.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
Well, I think there is a sign somewhere in Hollywood
that says you must be at least this tall in
order to have a scandal, and he's not tall.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
But I did see on the set of Baywatch. He
was filming with the Rock. Someone's job was to spray
this oil on his abs to make him listen. And
I'm thinking, how do you get that job? And what
do you put on your resume for that?

Speaker 4 (20:07):
You know that body kind of resembles Tim in a way. Well,
Zac effrun from Baywatch, you know, and if we.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
Thank you talk, if we needed someone to do that tuck,
that would be your job. So get some oily water
in a spray bottle just in case. Uh, we'll see.
With my second pick of Disney Channel stars, I am
going with the Jonas brothers.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
Yeah, all right, which one is your favorite?

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Would you say?

Speaker 3 (20:32):
I'd say Peter.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Peter What a classic answer?

Speaker 3 (20:38):
No, Nick, Nick? Yeah, uh talk. You got your second
and third picks.

Speaker 4 (20:43):
All right, So second pick, I'm gonna go Zendia.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Oh that was on my list.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
Gosh. And then for my third and final pick, I
gotta go with Cole. Do I have to choose Cole
and Dylan Sprouse?

Speaker 1 (20:57):
You gonna take my last Sprouse Brothersrouse Brothers Okay?

Speaker 4 (21:00):
Perfect? You know what.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
I wanted to pick them because he was Ross's son
and friends and the kid in Big Daddy which is
my favorite Adam Sandler movie.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Oh what a good pick?

Speaker 4 (21:10):
Doesn't one? One does a little bit more nowadays? Right,
Like in the acting scene.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Riverdale, I get him confused.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Uh that's so funny. Okay. So, and also, would you
say Zendea is like rivaling Miley Cyrus's popularity in terms
of just the most popular Disney Channel star.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
Yeah, she's blown up spider Man, you four, all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Okay, So my final pick for Disney Channel stars, I'm
gonna go with somebody contemporary. How about Sabrina Carpenter.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
There you go. Yeah, that's a good one.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
All right, final pick for you, Brooke.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
All right, this is gonna be controversial, but I think
you got to think of him now. I think he's
made a comeback and he's gotten himself straightened out.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
Shilah buff Oh.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
I think he was on course to be like the
Hollywood next Golden Boy. He took some turns, but he
found the Lord and I think he's on the right track.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
I love him because I think good actor. He's a
good actor, and the stuff he's done since his all
from Grace or whatever you want to say, is interesting.
He's just more interested a little bit like mel Gibson.
To be honest, I'm more interested when they've gone crazy
what they're like than where they when they were. You know,
he's a kid. Stars, you're gonna be messed up?

Speaker 2 (22:21):
Yeah, how can you not be?

Speaker 3 (22:22):
What is suddenly? Stephen? No, step Stephen.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Even But did you see the movie Peanut Butter Falcon?

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Yes? Love that one. That's the one that maybe go
I like this guy. I'm rooting for him. Okay, those

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Okay, this is orange juice. Oh man, eggs benedet, eggs. Bet,
that's hard.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
You should just go with eggs.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
We can't say eggs because it's eggs benedict.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
No, I know, I'm saying that's a complicated Eggs Benedict
is a complicated me.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Eggs isn't on a brunch menu with the millennials.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Now it's our fault.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
Okay, you're going to You wouldn't go to a Wendy's

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
I'm so jealous you live in Gilbert because you're getting
the first bow Jingles ever.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Can't wait for you to try it. All right, let's go.
All we need is too right to win?

Speaker 4 (25:58):
Yep, to to win. And reminder, you're topic is cities
with NFL teams.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Oh, cities with NFL team.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
Because the NFL Draft is happening this week. Okay, okay,
here we go.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
So it's our team, our team, yes, yes, So there's
a chain restaurant called Blank Wild Wings. What is Buffalo

By the way, the NFL Draft starts when Wednesday night, Wednesday,
and it.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Concludes with Brad Paisley headlining the NFL Draft concerts.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
That's kind of cool, very cool, all right, Brooke, for
all the marbles. Where are they having the NFL Draft
this year? What NFL city a.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Green Bay, Wisconsin?

Speaker 1 (27:18):
Because Brad Paisley, I read the article about where he's playing,
I wouldn't know otherwise.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Good for you, who's been hanging around and popping up
on American Idol performed Hallelujah last night with contestant brand Lake,
and so we have to check that out a little bit,
all right.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Speaking of Jelly Roll, well, his wife's podcast.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Remember when Morgan Wallin's baby Mama was on the podcast
Bunnies podcast. Yep, she announced that she had got married,
then she got divorced. Well, if anyone cares, she's back
with him. Not Morgan, not Morgan, but the guy she
married after Morgan. They were only married for like it
was less than a year, and then she talked about
how they were separating divorcing on podcast and then now

(28:01):
they're back together.

Speaker 2 (28:02):
Okay with an Easter post.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
Oh good.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Just in case you were like, hey, I wonder whatever
happened to that guy.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
Do we know what brought them back together? Was there?

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Lord?

Speaker 3 (28:10):
Oh? Okay on Easter. I don't know if they've risen again.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
I just just she said, look what the Lord can do,
and they posted with you know, Morgan Walland's kid, they're
back together.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
Happy for them, Happy for them.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
As long as everybody's happy, I'm happy.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
Okay. Let's say you go to your kids school and
they have a field day. I don't know if they
called them that back in North Carolina. Yeah, it was
just like basically one day on the spring where everybody
does track and field events and it's kind of fun.
And they said, all right, this year, we want to
have a little parents race. So we're gonna do like
one hundred yard dash with parents everybody. Let's pick five

(28:48):
parents to run in this race. Would you do it?
Were you a fast runner?

Speaker 1 (28:52):
No? I mean I was fine, Like I said, I
was a college athlete. But now, yeah, I don't think
I've run full speed. Remember the last time I run
full speed? I might do I get to stretch beforehand.
I would not nominate myself. There's a lot of runners
out there, mom runners, let's let them do it.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
Yeah. Well they did it at the school and this
kid said, all right, mom, you're up, and his mom
happened to be Shelley and Frasset Pace Price. She is
the world's third fastest woman an Olympic sprinter. Oh well,
she took the trophy obviously.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
Well okay, yeah, let's let those people do it.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
But I see moms that pick up they look like
they're in running gear.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
Yeah you know, and I'm like, yeah, they I nominate them.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Okay, Well, listen, we're going to tell you about something
fun we have planned next month. It's a military appreciation
meal that we're hosting and get you all those details.
Next with Tim and brook.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Look Brian one two five K and IX Today's Best Country.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
We're Tim and Brooke announcing today for the very first time,
something we wanted to do for a while. We've got
it pulled together and one month from today, twenty first
at Bonfire in Surprise, we're hosting the Canix Military Appreciation
Meal for all active duty service members and veterans and
you'll get a free meal while they last at this

(30:12):
great place, Bonfire Kitchen and Tap House in Surprise, and
our friends at Sanderson Ford have joined alongside to celebrate
all those who serve our country. We appreciate you and
your families. Now they've got to make a reservation to
hold a spot, and there's limited spaces, so they'll want
to call the phone number.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Yeah, so it's six two three two nine five four
five sixty seven. And if you're driving and you can't
write that down or you're not going to remember, it's
all on our Instagram at Cane's Country. You can find
out the location because there are two locations, but this
is the one in surprise, and just get the number there,
call and reserve your spot with however many people are
in your family.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Yeah, we were looking over the menu and it's all
good stuff. It's like stick to your ribs kind of
good food that you definitely want to eat. And they
even have a Brookie Accommodation Brownie cookie.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
I'm there, sad less.

Speaker 3 (31:02):
Oh there you go. All right, it's Tim and Brook
as we roll commercial free one O two five kN
i X and the iHeartRadio app one O two five
K and i X, Tim and Brook Rowling Commercial Free.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
Breaking sports news from Hopkinton, Massachusetts. My daughter Holly has
just started the Boston Marathon. I'm tracking her on the
app here. It's kind of fun. You get like a
real time depiction of a little cartoon figure running along
the race route with her little legs kicking back and
the door for her.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
Like I've always said, the only marathons I do are
on Netflix. I cannot even fathom training for that.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
Could people track you watching a Netflix marathon?

Speaker 2 (31:44):
Sure, I'll just put it on Instagram live.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
Let's see she is. She just hit mile one at
seven forty two, seven forty two pace.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
Good for her, Good go Holly.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
There is something you could do on a first date
that will increase your chances for a second date. This
was in twenty five percent of couples. Yeah, we'll talk
about that coming up in just a bit.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
All right, talk you listening?

Speaker 3 (32:08):
Yeap, Tuck is taking notes, he's getting ready. We'll find
out more in a minute. Turn it up one O
two five King and I asked him and Brooke on
a Monday rolling commercial free, what is the thing couple
should do on a first date that will likely lead
to a.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Second Something active.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
It doesn't have to be exercise active, but like a hike,
just a stroll along a scenic route, an escape room,
like an activity.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
As opposed to just meet for coffee or a beer maybe.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Or even as opposed to dinner. Yeah, definitely not a
movie on a first date. I've been to a movie
on a first date and I walked out not knowing
one single thing.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
About the person.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
Because how could you so tuck? What's your go to
first date? Is it dinner or is it something?

Speaker 4 (32:51):
It's dinner, okay, because like you said, a movie, that's
that's just weird. You want to get to know them
and see if you want a second date or not.
You know, so normally I would I just do dinners?

Speaker 2 (33:01):
And what's your What would you say your rate of
return is what?

Speaker 4 (33:07):
No?

Speaker 2 (33:07):
I mean do you usually get a second date?

Speaker 4 (33:09):
Yeah? Okay, I would say nine.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
Second date rate?

Speaker 2 (33:14):
What kind of dinner are you having?

Speaker 3 (33:16):
Closer?

Speaker 1 (33:17):
Whoa anyway, Well, if if you ever have run into
some problems, take your date on a walk.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
I will say.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
One of the best dates I went on back when
I was dating was we got some ice cream and
we walked around like Tempee Town Lake.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
We just walked and chatted.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Oh yeah, that's nice.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
It was nice.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
Now there's a company called Amazing dot Co and they
host these like a little scavenger hunts. I know, hey, hey,
Hannah went on one of these with Ray up in Prescott.
But did they have them around every city? I'm pretty sure.
And it's a little scavenger hunt based on, you know, uh,
whether you want to end up at like a place

(33:55):
that has beer or wine or a little lunch something
or other, and the clues come on your phone and
you got to solve three or four things before you
get to the destination. What about if you met a
guy at Timpy Tone Lake and he said, all right,
I want to take you for some beer, but first
we have to solve this puzzle, and you had to
be you had to go on a little treasure hunt.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
I like that. I like unique things. I liked that
he puts an effort.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
But can I suggest something not for a first date,
but as you go along, been dating a couple months
and you want you think, like, Okay, this guy could
be the one. I want you guys to borrow someone's
baby and buckle them into a car seat and try
to get the family packed together before you have kids,
just to see what it will be like. Okay, okay,

(34:38):
And it's got to be one hundred and fifteen degrees
while you're trying to get the baby in the car seat,
the car loaded yourself to a destination on time.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
Doc, I already know what that's like. You have to
give that a try on your next first date.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
Yeah, I mean, I have a bunch of little cousins.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
But you can borrow cam and if it works out
and no one yells at anyone, I think you should
marry her.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
Easy, okay, if there's no tears. So the bottom line
is first date, try in activity. If you want a
second date, there you go. Now when you say.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
Activity, stop it, don't do that.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
So if you're smiling, now, what would you do if
we gave you a thousand dollars extra paycheck?

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Oh, it's spend it on babysitters.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Okay, probably you might need that. We've got that coming
your way at nine o'clock this morning. Now, I did
get the early morning call from Brooks saying, hey, I
might not make it because your regular babysitter had to
cancel last minute.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Yeah, three in the morning, get a text said she
was sick. You know these things happened, So I'm like, okay,
it's three in the morning. How am I going to
get a babysitter to come to my house? So I
have this app it's called busy Bees, which we use
when our regular babysitter is out or whatever.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
And it's all local.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
Most go to GCU, It's college, and even some high
school girls. And everyone is vetted through a process background check,
CPR certified, So you don't necessarily know who's coming to
your house, but you know that they are vetted by
this company who I try.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
And also it still sounds a little scary because it's
one thing, you know, if you don't know your Uber driver,
but to leave your kids in the care imagine I
imagine Uber but instead of driving you somewhere, you leave
and they sit and watch your kids.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Yeah, but I've had a time like so I had
to be interviewed before these people could come in my house.
It's a very exclusive like they don't just let anyone in.
They just don't let anyone babysit.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
So I trust.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
I've been using them for three years. They're a phenomenal company.
So you can request a babysitter. But the only problem
is it's three in the morning. Who is going to
take this job? And so what you can do because
it's like twenty to twenty two dollars an.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Hour, which is that's pretty reasonable these days.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
What you can do is there's a button called sweeten
the Deal, and you can say like, hey, we'll provide
snacks and dinner for you, or you can just say
what you'll provide, and then you can put money on it.
So I put all right, fifty or money, fifty extra
dollars if someone takes this job. I wait, it's three thirty.
No one's taking this job. I'm like, all right, what

(37:00):
is going to get me out of bed at this hour?
I put one hundred extra dollars on it. I had to, Yeah,
I can't miss work. So I put one hundred extra
dollars and boom, within thirty seconds, someone snatched it up.
But I was like a fifty sixty seventy five anybody
eighty no, all at one hundred, let's go.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
And so someone came.

Speaker 3 (37:20):
And did you like them when they showed up?

Speaker 1 (37:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (37:23):
I mean you have an instinct, you know. Your women's
intuition was like, Okay, this person's fine, even they took
him one hundred bucks to get here.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
The shout out to Mickey, I get it. Listen, it's
three thirty in the morning. Like times are tough, eggs
are expensive.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
Let's go one hundred bucks one O two five. Can
I asked the guy who has a collab with somebody?
You didn't see this one common Bailey Zimmerman.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Colmbs.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Yeah, I know he's, you know, in Morgan Wallin's squad,
which I've always been rooting for Morgan Wallen.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
In Luke Colmb's collab.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
Right, I don't know if that's ever gonna happen, but
that would be phenomenal. But yeah, Bailey Zimmerman posted busy times, Luke.

Speaker 2 (38:01):
Colmbs, let's go.

Speaker 3 (38:03):
Yeah, the Luke and Morgan have each done each other's
songs just solo acoustically and posted on their social so
they must be fans of each other. But maybe it's
just like two superpowers afraid to collide or it'll explode,
you know, it could end the universe.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
Just too much power there. Yeah, it should be if.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
It appens, We'll keep you posted here and we're looking
forward to the Lukecomb's and Bailey Zimmerman collaboration. It's Tim
and Brook one O two five, Ky and IX with
Tim and Brook. We still continue to roll commercial free.
So it was last year we got worried that some
people wanted to come in and be on the show,
and we invited them. The door swung wide open. It

(38:42):
was all of the corporate people from the Bojangles fast
food restaurant chain. Now they don't have any out here yet.
They're mostly in the Southeast, and they're one of Brook's
favorites from her home state of North Carolina. They were
having corporate meetings at the Biltmore, but they had heard
while they were there there is a woman on the
radio here who goes nuts for bow Jangles. She said

(39:04):
she wants a bow Jangles here in town. And so
because of that, on their way out of town, their
way back to Sky Harbor, they stopped into the radio
station and we met the CEO and some of the
other big corporate big wigs who were here to say,
you know, look, it's gonna happen one day and now
it's finally coming to Fruition.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
Yes, the first location has been announced Gilbert Valvista and
Germaine and it was just announced on Friday. Now they're
gonna have twenty locations. But guys, you don't understand. This
is part of my childhood. After church, we would go
to Bojangles. It is fast food, but they've got fried
chicken and biscuits in southern cooking and the best French fries.
It's Luke Kalm's favorite fast food place. Scotty McCreery endorses them.

(39:44):
It is life changing. I basically I call my son Biscuit.
That's my nickname for him because they have something on
the menu called a bow berry biscuit and his name's
bo Yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
I've just never been more excited.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
I think I'm gonna get a hard hat and try
to help them build so just so they can get
it going faster.

Speaker 3 (40:01):
That's funny.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Have you you had it?

Speaker 3 (40:02):
I had it. I got the wrong thing at first,
and then everybody you know, shamed me and said, no,
you've got to get the chicken biscuit, the Cajun chicken biscuit.
It's a breakfast item.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
Yes, breakfast is where they really shine, but it is
good all day.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
So just to review, if you're new to the valley,
new to the program. Brook has two sons. One is
named after a fast food menu item and the other
is named after a basketball gym. His name is Cam
so that's great. If you need help naming your kids,
Brook is here for you.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
Follow along at K and IX, Brook.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
I got you.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
One on two five K and I X. Not this weekend,
but the one after. It's our iHeart Country Festival live
from Austin, Texas, and you'll be able to hear it
here on K and I X, but Rascal Flats will
be there. And I hope that you know that's not
the end of their reunion tour. They put it together.
They did twenty shows. They're going to play Our iHeart
Country Festival along with Thomas, Rhett Brooks and Dunn, Megan

(40:55):
Maroney and then I hope they roll out another leg
of their tour.

Speaker 1 (40:58):
Yeah. I like your idea that they just wanted to
save all the excitement for Our iHeart Country Festival.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
And then they'll announce more dates, one being in Phoenix.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
Hopefully come on bringing on back. It's Tim and Brook.
We've got a keyword for a thousand dollars extra paycheck
next right here on one O two five K and
I X. In the Ieart radio app don't you one
O two five CA and I AX, It's Tim and Brook.
Brook grew up being forced to watch movies from every era,
and it's turned you into a what do you call it, cinophile?

(41:28):
A cinephile. I thought you, of all people, would be
excited about this. Harkins is going to do something Tuesday
and Thursday of this week. It's a special preview event.
It's kind of like a little bit of a I
don't know, a movie premiere sneak peak showcase they do
in Hollywood, but they're doing it at Harkins Theater's Tuesday
and Thursday. For three bucks. You get a small popcorn

(41:49):
and a look at the biggest releases they're going to do,
like the previews of all the big summer blockbusters, including
there's a new Jurassic Park movie coming out this summer
and the Tom Crue Who's Mission Impossible Final Reckoning in May.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
All right, So I know people that this says the
movie starts at seven, right, and then they'll get there
at seven twenty because they want to miss all the
previews and just get to the movie.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
I want to be there when the first preview rolls.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
The same way.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
I love previews.

Speaker 3 (42:15):
I hate missing the previews unless I'm taking Penny to
a movie. It's a kids movie because that it's all
kids previews. Okay, I don't want to see this one again,
but yeah, so check it out on their website, Harkins,
or the Harkins app.
