Speaker 1 (00:03):
What from the K and I X studios in the
iHeartMedia building that we share with the Random bank downstairs
in a questionable area of Phoenix. It's Wednesday, April thirtieth,
Adopt the Shelter Pet Day on It's in a Brooks show.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Oh yeah, I forgot to ask you if you had
a Brooks buddy yesterday.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
I did, but I wanted to save my buddy for
Adopted Shelter Pet Day so.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
He could spend one more night in jail. Thank you.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Oh really, Adopt, don't shop. That's all I have to say.
All right, So I've been talking about this forever. I
started reading The Housemaid. It's a three book series and
it's going to be a movie with Sidney Sweeney and Brandon.
I don't know if I'm saying his name right. Glenner.
Remember they called him the Walmart Glen Powell. Oh yeah, yeah,
he was Atlas on the movie with Blake Lively. It

(00:50):
ends with us. Oh yeah, nineteen yeah, very handsome guy. Anyway,
he is in that movie with Sidney Sweeney, and so
is Amanda Sayford. It's coming out in December. The house made.
There's a video that was just released of them getting
a little cozy at stagecoach. Like, I'm not prepared to
say they're they're a thing. But if I had a

(01:11):
male friend, I wouldn't be that close to him, right, Like,
that's just kind of just.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Like going snorkeling with Riley Green.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Well, I mean, I don't I wouldn't do that.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Right, I don't what you said? Never mind, Okay, it's
hard that I'm following you today, Brooke.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Oh sorry, sorry, all right, Well, Sidney Sweeney and Brandon
Sclenar maybe dating, that's what we need to know. They
might be. Okay, they were kind of canoodling at stage coach.
There you go, Then this is really cool. In twenty fifteen,
ed Shearon shut off his phone. He said he's only
going to emails from now on because it just was

(01:49):
affecting his mental health and keeping up with social media.
While when he was sued, you know, for allegedly copywriting
a song, the judge made him turn back on his
old phone so that they could get voice memos and
things that they thought he had on his old phone.
But he created an Instagram account just now that is
called Teddy's old Phone, and he was at least all

(02:12):
these pictures and I'll think about twenty fifteen is the
height of him and Taylor Swift's bffniss. He had all
I mean, he was on top of the world and
all these cool little mementos from that time. It's pretty
cool to see. And he wrote a new song called
old Phone. It's really sweet.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
What's so funny?

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I just remember that time where it's like peak of
pop music right justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, ed Sheeran one direction.
It was a good time.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
It's so funny that there's people like that that can
no matter what happens to him in life, they could
write a hit song about it.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Yeah. Yeah, he found If I found my old phone,
it would be the song would be called What a
Disaster I was when I was twenty four years old?

Speaker 2 (02:50):
What's wrong with You?

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Make better choices? Yeah, that's cool. It's Tim and Brook.
We're coming to you from the Sanderson Ford Studios of
k and I x FM Phoenix, and yeah, he got
a couple of pairs of tickets to the k and
IX Secret Show. We're holding them just for you. One
O two five Knix. That's Dylan Scott, can't have mine?
Finds you a girl that has lots and lots of

(03:14):
secret show tickets to give away. I assume he's talking about, Hey, hey,
Hannah this afternoon.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Yes, so she's got not only a couple pair, but
she's got fifty plus pairs of can Ix secret show tickets.
WHOA Where's she going to be, Tim.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
She's going to be at the Hotel Adelaide on Scottsdale
Road from four to six this afternoon. Stop on buy
say hi, try to win your secret show tickets. And
in all of our in person tickets secret show ticket stops,
you know you can stop, buy, register for him, and
then be on your way. You don't have to hang out,
although there are worse places to hang out than at

(03:47):
the hotel adline.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
It's true. And if it's so early you haven't even
had your coffee yet, and you forget this information, It's
all on our website, caniscountry dot com and our Instagram.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Very helpful this morning, early in the morning, bright and early,
well not so bright, but early for sure. Alan Jackson
all time favorite, one, O two five K and I X.
We asked yesterday what was something you didn't get? But
now you do? Somebody called and said they grew up
in a small town and they just had a country station.
They couldn't get any other Phoenix radio stations, and she

(04:18):
couldn't stand country, but now she she loves it. And
you shared that you know that you weren't country, wasn't
your first choice? What was the first sign that you
had gone country to your friends?

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Well, so Sam Hunt was kind of a gateway drug,
because all right, I have to explain that when you
grew up in the South, everyone loves country. They go
to all my friends in middle school and high school.
We grew up going to Kene Chesney and Rascal Flats concerts,
and I was just like, I wanted to be different.
So I was like, ooh, I like panic at the disco,
and so I thought I was too cool for a
country Then I worked on a pop radio station and

(04:52):
I liked all pop music ed Shearon and Taylor Swift.
Then Sam Hunt crept in and I was like, oh,
well wait one second, and then.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
You have abs I'm listening right.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
But then I liked him because he was hot, and
then I liked his music, and then I started listening
to all country music and I'm like, this is amazing,
this is great. So I've been involved in country for
fifteen years now or something.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
And you can't get off it. Can you? Have you tried?
I've tried.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
I've tried to go no offense to anyone else else
here in the building. I've tried to listen to like
pop music that these kids are listening to.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
It's awful, You're so funny. Oh my gosh. It's Tim
and Brooke k and I x Ah. Like we said,
it is the last day of April twenty twenty five
people born on this day who are famous? Are you ready? Brook?

Speaker 1 (05:43):
I'm ready.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
This guy's a rapper and baby daddy to Kylie Jenner's daughter.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Stormy Travis Scott. And there's another one, which one he
has a they have another kid and I forgot his name.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
It's like your son, what's his name? Cam? Cam? Poor
baby remembers that second child. Uh, this is the actress
you were just referencing with your superhero pick the upside down?
Kiss with her?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Oh, Toby McGuire.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Toby maguire kissed Kirsten Dunns. Right, it's her birthday to day.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
What would you say is her most iconic role?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
That's the only one I know?

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Are you serious? Bring it on?

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Answer is bring it on.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Oh, bring it on? Okay, And then this, I mean
everything she's in is her most iconic role. She's been
linked possibly romantically to Tom Cruise lately, but she was
uh Marta in the First Knives Out, and then everything
she's in, I'm like, I'm here for it.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Well, she's so beautiful on a day armis yes.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Wow, oh yeah, no she is. I just noticed now
she just think she's a great actress.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Wow, what a thesbian you thought?

Speaker 2 (06:50):
What? I don't think she's that. But we are Tim
and Brooke, and this is K and I X one
O two five K N I X. It's Tim and Brooke,
and I want to make note of something. I didn't
watch any of them. But there's a whole bunch of
new shows on all the streaming services that involve cooking.
We've got more cooking shows now than ever anything. It's

(07:12):
like Martha Stewart and some other fantacy chef. There's even one.
This is a great idea. Somebody took the catch slogan
from the bear and made a show out of it. Yes, chef, yes, chef.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
But does that make you hungry? Because whenever I watch
the Food Network. It makes me eat more.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Well, that's the thing. It's like, you know this trend
with little kids like Penny was into this YouTube channel
kids playing with Toys. When I was a kid, watching
some other kid play with a toy sucked. It was like,
why would I want to do that?

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Right?

Speaker 1 (07:41):
You want to play with it?

Speaker 2 (07:41):
I want to play with it. So yeah, I think
watching shows of really good food makes me hungry.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Me too.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
That's why I like to watch My six hundred pound
Life because I feel like it helps me not yeah
over eat more.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
You like six hundred pounds life more than the one
thousand pounds sisters? Yeah, okay, all right, good, very good.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
And I have fridge magnets from doctor Now.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Too that discourages you from eating.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
If you're out there listening, you know you're not in
need of being saved. But uh, if you aren't work
here for you, try to be a positive influence on
your day. Start your day with a little smile, a
little information, your favorite song to sing along with. We
like to do that. We like to pay it forward,
right yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
And I'm like that's all we want to do, just
make it make you happy. But what about pay it backward.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Pay it backwards. Now that seems to be a new thing, right, yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Tucks all this on Instagram or it was on TikTok,
and so what are people doing?

Speaker 3 (08:41):
So basically the main one was there's this guy at
Duncan and he pulled into the drive through ordering his
drink whatever morning coffee, and then he pulls up to
the window and instead of paying it forward, right you know,
pay oh, hey, I'm going to pay for the person
behind me, he just pulls up to the window and goes,
oh yeah, I'm going to pay it backward. Person behind

(09:02):
me is paying it just drives off.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
That's terrible.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Yeah, that's awful.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
And he filmed this, like what.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
What that's kind of funny, said.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Is funny. But except for if you're the person behind
him and you get stuck with a monster bill, I
know I would be so mad.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Yeah, I mean, it's kind of hilarious just pulling up
pay it backward and just pull off.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
I have heard that the you know, Starbucks or whoever,
the workers actually don't even like pay it forward because
it gets complicated. Okay, so they don't even though it's
a good thing, like you, hey, I'm taking care of
the person behind me. They said that they don't like
that because it makes their job harder.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
But it's like, you know, like, is it like splitting
a bill? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Oh I feel so bad when they're like, oh, can
we split the bill seventeen ways?

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Like oh yeah, It's like, man, I wish they had
calculators or something.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Geez, well, I just I always just end up putting
my credit card down because I want the points, and
then everyone windows me.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
That happened out for my son in law's birthday and
there is I don't know eight or ten of us,
and uh, we went to pay, and everybody pulls out
their credit or debit card, and then some people have
cash and one guy wants to get points on his card.
It's just like, oh my lord.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Yeah, I'm always the first to throw down I want
the points. Then maybe later.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Your points person then.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Huh absolutely, why would you? I just don't see there's
any reason why you wouldn't just put everything on.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
There, because it makes it complicated when it's time to pay.
That's why one card, Oh yeah, one card for you,
but for everybody else who has to chime in, and
some are paying with cash, some are paying with live chickens.
I mean it's like there's a The economy is a
different thing now. You know some people, some people are
dropping their bitcoin on there. Hey they're NFTs.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Do you want to pay me with eggs? Fine, give
me your eggs, Give.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Me your eggs. We're Tim and Brooke. This is one
on two five K and I X. Tuck says he
might have a round of thing fast ready for us.
One on two five came out. It's Tim and Brooke
and talk wants to play a little bit of think
fast with us right now. He's gonna throw stuff at us.
You just gotta answer as fast as you can, pretty simple, right, well,

(11:16):
yeah for him, not for us. All right, Tuck, we
embraced ourselves. I think we're as ready as we're ever
going to be. Here we go, let's do it. Who
wants to go first?

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Tim?

Speaker 5 (11:29):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Really? Yeah? It is okay? All right? Tim.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
Name and occupation that ends with the letter in a fireman, fireman, fireman,
good thank you. Name and occupation that ends with the
letter are.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Oh, dietitianer A dietitianer, okay?

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Tim?

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Name a movie star in the Hunger Games? Uh uh?
Donald Sutherlands, Oh that's good. Isn't he the president? Or Brook?

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Name a movie star in the Goonies, John asked Ashton.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Okay, see also a Lord of the Ring.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Yeah, lord of the Rings.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Tim. Name something you eat that's red, red dye number three?

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Okay, not for long.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Brooke. Name something you eat that's brown.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
A cookie?

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Okay, okay brown? Tim? Name a candy that starts with
the letter L licorice. Brooke. Name a candy that starts
with the letter B.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Bubble gum.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Hey is that candy? Yeah, bubble bubble.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Gum candy, buble bubble take.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Well, allow it last one. Tim.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Name a creature and the sea that's faster than you. Uh,
A lobster? A lobster, Yes, lobsters are quick. Listen, I've
tried to catch them. I want to scuba diving trip
where we the night dive and there were lobsters on
the rocks and you they're right there and you think
you can grab them, They're they're gone. They're like crickets.
They jump.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
If you I thought I could outswim a lobster, you're
saying you couldn't out swim a lobster.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
No, No, they fold their body like. They kind of
fold their tail and that's how they go. They're really fast.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Actually I never knew this. Now you see them at
the at the red Lobster in the tank and they
look very smart.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
They're they're easy to outrun. There no space there, right brook.
Last question, name the creature in the ocean that fits
in your hand?

Speaker 1 (13:37):
A sea urchin?

Speaker 2 (13:38):
Okay, a sea urchin? Ouch? Yeah, don't squeeze. That's good.
This has been think fast. I think we did it.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Yes, were we like one hundred percent? Besides my dietitian or.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
I think we were und I'm giving this one to
ten because of your bubble gum. I don't think that's
a candy. Yeah. Right. Did you see on social media
that that boats at Lake Havasu. Yes, was trying to
go two hundred miles an hour and it just flew
up in the air.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Yeah, that's not okay.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
The two people in the boat are fine. They survived
it how and guess what they won the race? Oh
my gosh, that's how you win a race. Right there?
That was terrified, above and beyond literally all right.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Sydney Sweeney was at stagecoach with Brandon Skellner. I don't
know if I'm saying that right. And they were very close,
like it didn't look like she was just standing with
a coworker like Tim and I. We don't stand together
like that at concerts. Yeah, no, the way they were standing.
So people are saying they may be dating because they're
working together on the Housemaid. It's a movie that's coming

(14:42):
out in December, based on the books that I'm obsessed with.
It's a three part series, Tim, you got to listen
to it at least. Okay, it's good The Housemaid.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
He's also one of us. I mean, he's the hot
honky star of nineteen twenty three. He was in It
Ends with Us.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
He was so good and it ends with Us. He
was atlass and someone the Walmart Glenn Powell, and then
he responded and goes, well, who doesn't love a bargain? So,
which made me like him even more.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
I'm going to upgrade him. Where did you see him
in nineteen twenty three? He's a lion hunter? Oh oh yeah? Okay, yes,
so I want to make him the target Glenn Powell,
the tar oh Oushi.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Here's the thing. I often have different opinions. I think
Liam Hemsworth is hotter than Chris Himsworth. I think this
guy is hotter than Glen Powell. Just what I'm saying,
all right? And then Ed Sheeran created a new Instagram
account called Teddy's Old Phone. That's his Instagram is Teddy's Photos.
But he shut his phone off in twenty fifteen, never
turned it back on. He said he's only doing emails

(15:43):
because he didn't want to be on social media and
all that stuff. Well, a court ordered him to take
out his old phone because he was in a copyright
battle and had they had to look at old memos
and all this stuff, and so he posted all the
old photos. And think about twenty fifteen, he was best
friends with Taylor Swift, running around with Harry Styles. All
these photos he's posting or just the time capsule, huh.

(16:05):
Think about if you turned your phone on in twenty fifteen,
how different your life would be?

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Whoa you were?

Speaker 1 (16:11):
What working for? I don't know you were working for
UPS right?

Speaker 2 (16:17):
No. Fifteen was when I was working. I was working
for the charity and I was in Africa.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Wow, Hi crazy? I mean I was in I had
a completely different life, never met my husband, just working
in pop radio. It was just crazy and Tucker was
probably getting potty trained or something.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Probably, I mean just just was fifteen. He was fifteen
years old.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Fifteen Yeah, yeah, all right, Well that's you can go
check it out Teddy's old phone, some pretty cool stuff
from Taylor Swift and others on there.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Let's all post a picture from twenty fifteen on our Instagram.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
I have a picture with Ed Sheeran from twenty fifteen.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
I let's see why you did that story now we
fell for it. Just letting you know we're coming to
you from the Sanderson Ford studios of Kay and I
x FM Phoenix. I hope he takes me up on
my idea when post Malone is here and he sings
that song, I assume he'll sing that song right, yeah,

(17:16):
that he invites people on stage to do the help part.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Hell well, I had an idea. I know they do
the tailgate party, but they missed the opportunity to call
it pre Malone.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
Ah, that's great, like a pre party, but pre malone
pre malone.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
People should just check with me. I got the good
ideas there you do.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
New music out this week from no other than Eric Church.
He's got this. I believe it's an EP coming out,
but we got a little sneak peek of It's It's
like I'm a Costco sample lady with my plastic gloves
on my hair and net, and I'm gonna give you
a little taste of what's coming from Eric Church. One

(17:57):
two five k N I X WE. I always celebrate
a new music Friday, and this Friday we have music
coming out from Eric Church. His eight song I Guess
You call out an EP Evangeline versus the Machine. Now,
I thought, oh, that's coming out in May. Second. We
got a while, but then I realized, you know what

(18:18):
tomorrow is Brook, It's gonna be May. It's good. I
mad May. Yeah, Tomorrow's May first. So on that it's funny.
Morgan Wallen puts out albums with forty and fifty songs
on them.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
Yeah really.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
Eric Church says, nah, I got eight good ones, including
that song Johnny that he did back at the CRS
and Double L put it on her live Instagram and
it made me cry when I talked about it the
next morning. Oh can't wait. Here's a little sample of
also from the new release from Eric Church. This is

(18:53):
called Bleed on Paper. It starts out kind of sweet
and mellow. Then it gets crazy. Here it is, wait
for it. Brace yourselves, everybody, Brace for impacts.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
Keep swinging one eye between a mine, a round a page,
keep boning out the bed, sweet live, it ain't page,
faith lit, A bit of dead, little bit safe, whole
lot of laugh, good like raise, springing a blank par
or six strings, bleed on faith.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
I know why you like that.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
It's got horns in it.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
It's got a trombone in it.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
I heard a trombone. It's got a trombone, a French
horn with some blue ink, a blank page and an
old six string. I bleed on paper. I do believe
that's true.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
He really likes experimenting with sounds, and that's what I
appreciate about him. He'll bring in a choir and then
the next thing he'll bring in some type of sounds
on the southern rock. And he's just so great. If
you had to narrow it down, I know it's tough.
Best Eric Church song.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Gosh ah Man. I always liked Jack Daniels kicked my
a last night. That's a good one, very personal to me.
I don't know, Brooke, I mean, I'm trying to think
of the name of the song. I'll think of it.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Record year, record, it has to be record year. But
I also love Carolina obviously because I'm from Carolina. Such
a good song anything off that album. I love Mister
Misunderstood album and what's it Give Me Back my hometown? Yeah,
he's got like twenty greatest songs.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
What's the song he does? He's one of my first
few songs he does in concert. Something Jesus we need
to see. Oh, come on, I'm drawing a blank that
you put me on the spot. I'll think of it. Okay,
I want to think of it. Brain is not braining
right right now. It's Eric Church new music coming you
on day? And what is tomorrow? Gonna be Brooke, It's

(21:04):
gonna be may.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
I love Randy Travis. Yeah, Three Wooden Crosses is one
of my favorite songs of all time.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Absolutely, you're gonna think this is funny. You're gonna think
this is really hilarious. You know how you say, tim,
you listen to the music of a song. I listen
to the lyrics.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
Yeah, I'm all about the lyrics. I don't care if
there's a trombone or whatever in it. If the lyrics
are good, it's for.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Me so young. Tuck and I, you know, we both
are coaches at Sunday Slope, soophall, we had a game away.
He and I drive because there's not enough room on
the bus with all the girls and the other coaches,
so we drive separately. And we were coming back from
the East Valley after a game a few weeks ago,
and I just put on a Randy Travis playlist because
Tuck's twenty five. You're not that familiar with Randy Travis, right, No,

(21:47):
I know, like a couple of his songs, but not
you know, every single you know hit that he has
that song three Wooden Crosses. How many times you think
I've played that in my career?

Speaker 1 (21:57):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Thousands?

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Yeah, yeah, hundreds of thousands.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
I'm listening to it. We talk about two weeks ago,
and I go, oh, it was the Hooker?

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Are you serious?

Speaker 6 (22:10):
Like the last line of the song, Tim, It finally
came to me like, oh I get it now, Tim,
I get it. That's what it was her bible that
my preacher, the farmer, the teacher, the preacher, it was
the hooker died.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
So but okay, then why do you love that song
because it's like such a beautiful story and message about
God and love it. So why did you even like it?
I you missed the entire point.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Of the whole, the sound of the song and his voice,
and I get it now, I get it. Okay, Wow, Okay,
how about her?

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Do you understand that? And don't take the girl? Someone's dying?

Speaker 7 (22:49):
What what?

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Wait? Hold on, I'm gonna need a day show tickets
had just abanded around my mind. One O two five,
K N I X. We have got K and I
secret show tickets. Oh. Also, I will tell you where

(23:11):
you can meet. Hey, hey, Hannah on your way home
this afternoon. She's going to have some in Scottsdale. But
right now we've got a Brook brain buster. Are you
ready for it?

Speaker 1 (23:21):
I'm ready?

Speaker 7 (23:22):
Are you?

Speaker 2 (23:22):
I think so? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Okay, if you can answer this question correctly, you get
K and IX secret show tickets. The question is the
first day on air for us, Tim and Brooke together?
Was what we need? The date exactly, month, day and year.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
Okay, we're talking about the original version of us. The
day that I signed on, I was happy and you
were in the women's room crying.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Yes, so it was Tim binning Brook at the.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Time, right, Beryl Boy was here, Eryl.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Boy also here. Yeah, but what is the day I
was crying in the bathroom. Basically, Yeah, it's been a lot,
it is. So maybe if you're an OG listener, give
us a call eight three three five seven seven K
and I X. We need the correct answer and you're
going to the k and IX Secret.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Show one two five K and I X with Tim
and Brooke talking about actually where it started. I had
been away from K and I X for many years
and then we put it all back together. Now it
was that day. It was Tim Brook, it was Ben
was here, Barrel Boy was here. And by the way,

(24:32):
we had dinner with Barrel Boy a couple of weeks ago,
doing fine in his big corporate job, wearing his socks
and his shoes and loving life.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
He's got an assistant, Yeah, he has an assistant. He's
a big wig now.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
And then Ben, in case you didn't know, is still
in town. He's actually doing his part of a radio
show on a classic rock station in Detroit.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
I mean he's in heaven. He is in Heaven Classic
He gets to like play a CDC and Van.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Halen yeah from here in his underwear, and it's it's
like a dream job for Ben. He's doing well too.
But what was the day we put that circus on?
kN I X Sarah is going to make the first
guess at the day, Good morning, hello, hello, Hello?

Speaker 8 (25:15):
The date?

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Yes, the day, the month, the year? No idea, no idea.
Do you want to just throw out a gas that's
a hard one.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
I know it is, I know, just take a stab
at it.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
January ninth, twenty seventeen, a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Wait, you're saying January ninth, twenty seventeen.

Speaker 5 (25:35):
No, I'm changing my answer. I'm going to go with
what's today? Let's do April thirtieth, okay, twenty twenty three.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Okay, that's your final answer.

Speaker 5 (25:48):
Final answers.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Okay, that's not correct. That's not correct. That is not okay,
But thank you for trying. Well, see if the next
person knows. Oh my goodness, Kivid Brook, we're still here,
hopefully for a long time.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Yeah, twenty more years.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
Yeah, let's go one O two five K and I
Actually I think you'll understand why we're chuckling a little
bit here. Kind of bizarre uh or asking trivia question
A brainbuster? What was the very first day of you
and I? Brooke working together. The day that I was

(26:28):
over the moon, happy to be back on K and
I actually you were in the women's room crying.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Yeah, I feel like we throw that out a lot,
and I just want to explain I had been through
some things, a breakup, and then the show that I
moved out here for. It wasn't the show that I
thought was going to happen. And it was just a
whole thing. It wasn't about Tim, like Tim didn't do
anything wrong, or I wasn't like, oh he's bad, I'm
gonna go cry. It was just an overwhelming feeling.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
The best part of the story was you called your confidant,
your best friend, your shoulder to cry on your mom
back home, and she couldn't talk to you because there
was a sale on wine at Costco. She said she'd
get back to you.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Yeah, Hey, I want yeah, I want to hear this,
but I got to run in the Costco real quick.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
All right, honey, Okay, we got one wrong. Guess Kaylee
wants to take a crack at it. Our first day. Hi,
good morning, good morning. Do you remember remember the time,
the day, the date, and the month.

Speaker 8 (27:25):
I'm going to go with January ninth, twenty seventeen.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
This is correct. Here's what's funny. I don't know if
you heard this. The caller before you threw that out
there and then changed her answer.

Speaker 8 (27:40):
Oh no, I didn't hear it.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Oh no, how did you know? How did you know
that was the first day?

Speaker 8 (27:45):
I mean, I actually saw a news article from January
elevend twenty seventeen, and I assumed it was a Monday,
So I, yeah, went back in the calendar as quick
as I could and chose Monday.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Okay, that makes sense.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
Well, you're going to the k and IX Secret Show.

Speaker 7 (28:01):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (28:02):
I wonder did the article mention anything about Brooke crying
in the ladies room? That would have been the scoop. Hey,
this afternoon you can meet Hey, Hey, Hannah. She's going
to be at the Hotel Adeline, Scottsdale Road from four
to six. She's going to have a stack of k
and I Secret Show tickets and we'll be doing more
and more in person ticket stops throughout the time between

(28:23):
now and the show in June, and you can find
those on our website at or knee Country dot com
and also our Instagram at Knee Country. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
I don't know if it's confirmed yet, but I've heard
they're trying to add more and more ticket stops, so
hopefully there'll be more and more chances for you to
win tickets.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Plus we'll have another pair for you to win coming
up at eight twenty five. It's Tim and Brook all
these years later in our ninth year. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
I haven't cried in the bathroom in about eight years.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Oh man, that's pretty good. It's that you were all
the time.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
My favorite Luke Holk song of all time. She got
the best of me one O two five K.

Speaker 8 (28:59):
And I X.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
We're Tim.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Okay, something is happening this weekend, and I think we
need to make mention of because we do have an
official Star Wars nerd on the program now, and that
is our new guy talk. What's the thing you're waiting
for now that you've ordered or it's pre ordered?

Speaker 3 (29:16):
It's the Star Wars helmets lego helmets that I collect
and they are releasing a new one tomorrow and it's
Jenga FET's head.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Oh not Jenga.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Are you going to be able to be here tomorrow?

Speaker 3 (29:28):
I mean I might have to leave a little early,
depending on how many are left at target.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Oh boy, so is Jenga the one that you pull
the pieces out and he crumbles? Okay, well tell everybody
why this weekend is big for the Star Wars community.
I mean, I'm lost right now too. Come on, you
don't know why.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
I certainly don't.

Speaker 8 (29:51):
Look at me.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
What is tomorrow?

Speaker 3 (29:53):
No?

Speaker 2 (29:53):
I know what it is.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
I'm seeing if Brooker. You guys, remember it is May
the fourth. May the fourth be with you you tomorrow? No,
it's Sunday.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Yeah, Sunday. Okay, So I thought you were going to
say there was like a comic con or a gathering.

Speaker 8 (30:08):
No, but.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
Something you do like what brook Pizza? Yeah, there's a
pizza place that has some pretty funny pizza specials just
for May the fourth, for all the Star Wars and
pizza nerds.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
All right, I'm in pizza.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
I'm in. I'll tell you about that coming up. Also,
we got to get a Brooks buddy out there, because
Brooke always puts a you know, she has a dog
that needs a home, and normally she does it on Tuesdays,
but you wanted to wait till today to celebrate that.
It's a.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Rescue a pet day, So you just left that.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Dog rot in itself for one extra night just so
you get seen. They don't do that. I'm being silly. Sorry,
we'll talk about it coming on, and I asked Dustin
Lynch and Jelly Roll and uh, we're Tim and Brook

(31:00):
rolling commercial free and at about twenty minutes, it's gonna
give you a chance to win your tickets to the
K and I Secret Show.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
Cool. Yeah, all right, TUCKI is a Star Wars. Uh
you said nerd, but I'll say enthusiast. Okay, if you
met a girl that was all in Star Wars, would
that be awesome for you or would you think, Okay,
that's odd.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
So we kind of talked about this the other day,
Brooke and I off air, And it's not like I'm
a huge nerd, like going too advance, dressing up as
the characters, everything like that. It's just something that my
dad really liked when he was younger and watched them,
and then I grew up watching them, and then now
when they release these legos, I started to building legos

(31:43):
during COVID and it just kind of stuck with me
and I found these little lego heads of Star Wars
characters and just kind of kept collecting them and building
them You're.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
The second growing up is person that I've talked to
that builds legos and like Hannah, Hey, Hannah on her
bridle registry had a couple of different pretty cool, you
know lego things like the House from Home Alone, and
I was like, really for your bridle thing and she goes, yeah,
it's my stress relief. Go to I build something out

(32:15):
of legos. It sounds like that's what you did during COVID.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
Yeah, they bring me stress. Yeah, there's legos strown all
over my house and the little pieces that makes me
for my kids. But so if you walk into a
girls bedroom and you see on display Lego Star Wars heads,
would I'd be like, oh, let's go or would.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
It be like huh Yeah, if it was just like
the Lego heads that like I boil, I'd be like, Okay,
let's go. There's levels to it. It's not like I
don't want to see a full room full of everything, okay,
And she goes, oh, look at my Chewbacca mask, and
I'm I'm not doing that.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
You know, if you go out and you get drinks somewhere,
does it have to be at a bar where they
play all right, Mike's pizza and down town mesa. This
sounds pretty cool. Actually, they're gonna have May the fourth
specials with pizza and you can get listen to this.
You could get the Darth Tater Pizza. Mi Darth Tater Pizza.

(33:14):
It's twenty two bucks and it's a layered with mozzarella, cheese,
cheddar and gouda, bacon, potatoes, ranch dressing, and fresh chibes.
And then also they have another one that's just a
cheese pizza any other day, but they're calling it. These
aren't the droids. You're looking for cheese pizza. Looking for
cheese pizza, get it?

Speaker 1 (33:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (33:34):
All right. They do encourage you to wear costumes. So
if you and she, she can put her hair in
the little buns like Princess Lad and you can put
on your bobo fat helmet or whatever lego. Can you
wear these helmets? No, they're they're like miniature. They're no
bigger than like my hand.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
So they're not even you can put it on your head.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
No, okay, answer this please, just honestly, because you know
it's the way people really really you endear yourselves to
be when you when you let down the walls and
you're not trying to be funny. Do you play with
the helmets and like make the character voices when you're
home alone in your residency at your mom's house. No,

(34:16):
you don't.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
You be honest, honest the safe space, he does.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
I'm being honest. What you're looking for? No, but I'm
jinga fat all right. My speech of on Sunday, May
the fourth be with you as we were all commercial
free one O two five, King n I X, Tim
and Brook rolling commercial free and Knox Secret Show tickets.

(34:43):
At eight twenty five, he said, you just saw a
headline on Fox ten that's Steve Nash, former son's legend,
is not gonna put his name in the hat for
the son's coaching position.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Yeah, he's not interested. I know he's doing a podcast
I think with Lebron James or something and getting into commentating.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
You said, also, yeah, I guess the NBA is going
to move over to Amazon, I believe. I mean he's
going to be part of their play by play team
or maybe they're going to do a studio show as well.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
That would seem like the worst job to me, really,
other than being president, because that just seems like a headache.
Managing the egos of these millionaire.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Being an NBA coach. Oh gosh, I think you're right.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
That would be awful to me because why would they
listen to Why would they think they needed to listen
because they're the best of the best. They're making thirty
million dollars a year. Yeap, Oh, I couldn't stand it.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
And uh, maybe that's why we're going to have our
fourth head coach in four years the Suns. I'm sure
they'll figure it out, but I won't be Steve Nash
one two five K and I ax. Oh my gosh.
If he was a secret show, I'd lose my mind.
Me and double L would probably pass out.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Yeah, that's like her number one. Yeah, crush. And you
love him. You've always loved him.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
If you've ever seen him, you know he's a great singer.
He's a great entertainer. He's very personal and likable. But
he's also like a wizard on the guitar, brilliant guitar player.
He was on a TV show in Canada and admitted, Hey,
I may not play great on this song because I
got a band aid on this finger that he plays with,
you know, And he said the night before he was

(36:17):
playing he got a cut on his finger, and when
he went to do a hot guitar lick, one of
the strings got caught in the cut and ripped it.
Oh oh god, I'm making I'm freaking myself out right now.
That's painful because he had to wear a band aid.
You know, I'm freaked out by band aids, right.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
No, I didn't know that, is it? What about band aids?

Speaker 2 (36:38):
I don't know. There's something about the smell. It's always
made me squeamish.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
Do you wear band aids.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
When I only when I absolutely have to?

Speaker 1 (36:49):
Okay, So the other day I was doing a conversation
with Fox ten and I had a I don't know,
I was cutting something and I had a little cut
on my finger and it was hurting, and so I
put on a band aid. And it's a toy story
just because that's what I have in my house, and
they called me out on.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
It still smells like a band aid to me.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
That would make you squeemish.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
I don't know what's weird.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
I don't know why. It's why I don't play guitar
like Keith Urban.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
Oh that's why.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
That's what.

Speaker 7 (37:15):
Yeah, because no long say my name, Maggy use.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
One O two five, k n I X parmally take
my name. We'll take your name and put it on
a pair of secret show tickets. If you're the twelve
collar and that seems to be holly Hello, Hello Tim,

Correct with kN Ix Secret Show tickets. Yay.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
Now, when was the first time you ever heard of
a kN I secret show?

Speaker 8 (37:57):
The first time I ever heard of one, I think
I would on Instagram and I saw Kane Brown, okay,
and then it's been my mission to win, and I
think I've.

Speaker 5 (38:06):
Been to six Oh whoa pretty well.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
Yeah, that's how a lot of people say they have
to stay off social media the night of if they
didn't win tickets because there's too much fomo going on.
I remember the very first one I saw on Barrel
Boys back when Twitter was a thing, and I was like,
a secret show and then I saw it was Jason Eldane.
I'm like, what on earth? That sounds like the coolest thing.

Speaker 8 (38:29):
But yeah, yeah, they're amazing, so much fun and the anticipation.
I am so excited.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
I know, it's like an anxiety, but in a good way.
You almost me like I can't eat until after it's announced.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
Well, we're happy to invite you to the very next
the seventeenth K and I Secret Show, June twenty fifth,
Marquee Theater.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Every time I've been to the Hotel Adeline, like by
the pool there's always some DJ and a fur coat.
He's got white sunglasses on and he's playing this kind
of music.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Is it Diplo?

Speaker 2 (39:48):
That might have been probably Diplo? All right, that's happening
this afternoon and again. The next pair to win on
the air will be at twelve thirty. I believe it's
Mojo filling in for Double L who's in Key West.
