Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is tj.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
Amanda and j Rod's second date updates on kJ one three.
Speaker 3 (00:05):
Jayson Mustang, w it's another date with Kayla. We'll do
this for the second date update. Okay, So what's the
story with your first day with Kayla?
Speaker 4 (00:13):
Jason?
Speaker 5 (00:13):
Yeah, so I met Kayla at a brewery probably about
three weeks ago or so, and we were there separately.
We were with different friends, but it was kind of crowded.
So you know how some of them those places have
long tables. We just ended up at the same.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
Table, long table meeting.
Speaker 5 (00:32):
Yes, we were talking. We exchanged store numbers, and then
message a few times. Then you know, I asked her
out to dinner, so, you know, some Mexican and Margarita's nice. Thanks.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
What I'm talking about sounds good. It was great.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
I mean I had a good feeling about it.
Speaker 5 (00:45):
I thought when I left, I thought, you know, this
could actually go somewhere. You know.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
She also mentioned, like towards end.
Speaker 5 (00:51):
Of our date, she said that we should check out this,
you know, new restaurant that her friend's working at. So
I figured it out. She's already you know, letting me
know she wants to go out with me again.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Yeah, Okay, so why are you on the second Date update?
Speaker 5 (01:06):
I chexted her twice, turned to lock in a second date,
but completely ghosted like having her back from her at all.
It's been over a week and I don't know what changed.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Okay, So yeah, just a weird situation.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
Okay, you know what works?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Well, Yeah, we'll get Kaylea on the phone and we'll
just ask her why she seems to be avoiding you,
and hopefully you'll go to that friend's restaurant and it'll
all happen.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Okay, man, sound good?
Speaker 3 (01:29):
All right, we'll talk to her next Second Date update
kJ one three.
Speaker 6 (01:33):
Yeah, the Second Date Update with TJ, Amanda and j
Rod on kJ three, Kayla, Welcome to the Second Date updates.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Good morning, Kayla's a little annoyed with us, which means
you're probably annoyed with Jason. Years he thought you guys
had a good like Mexican restaurant Margarita's date, and you
even hinted it going on another date at another restaurant,
but you're not answering him.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
So what's going on?
Speaker 6 (02:00):
Jason spent the entire meal complaining about the restaurant.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Oh no, so he's the guy that's like, hey, just
complaining to the server.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
And all that whole time.
Speaker 6 (02:10):
No, I mean it wasn't like to the staff or anything.
He kept playing stuff out like why the dirty glasses
still on the table, or a water hasn't been refilled.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
Oh these chips are too salty.
Speaker 6 (02:23):
Control and you're like a right, oh no, okay, Like, bro,
you know I just wanted tacos.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
Right, you just want to have a good time, be positive.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Come on.
Speaker 6 (02:33):
Yeah. He even said, Okay, no joke. If I managed
this place, I have a turnaround within a week. You
don't want to date. Is this just like a Yelp
review podcast or something? Have fun?
Speaker 4 (02:47):
Yeah, Jason, Okay.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
All right, Like I wasn't trying to ruin the.
Speaker 5 (02:50):
Night or anything, but yeah, the restaurant was sloppy.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
What do you mean by sloppy?
Speaker 2 (02:55):
I mean like, I guess the food was good. Dayla
was great, but the service sucked.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
The service sucked. Okay.
Speaker 5 (03:01):
I didn't complain to the server.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
I was just like observing.
Speaker 6 (03:06):
You were like the bar rescue guys.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
Okay, okay, oh listen, I'm this guy.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
I'm like Jason, if I'm in a restaurant, I'm like,
why are these dirty plates still all on our table.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
Why have they not refilled my drink?
Speaker 3 (03:19):
And I'm looking around and I'm seeing the waiter just
lolly gag and through.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
The restaurant, and the manager just kind of just watching
the room.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
I'm thinking I could fix this in about five seconds.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
You don't have to say everything you think though, Well,
that's that's my problem. Yeah, Jason's no filter, that's our problem.
You can just keep it inside, Jason, all right.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
I think it's fair to want better service, though, like
it wasn't personal. The place needs a good mess.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Maybe he was apologizing to you that the restaurant wasn't
better for you, Kayla, that's sweet.
Speaker 6 (03:49):
No, No, The point is I don't want to spend
a date with somebody who's picking apart everything around them.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
It was just no fun.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Yeah, Because then he started to think, what's going to
pick a part about you? Yeah? And stop?
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yeah, And I would think, if you're not giving him
poor service, he's not going to pick apart anything about
what are you talking about?
Speaker 6 (04:08):
I get it, but for your first state, you should
kind of be on your best behavior, and you know,
you shouldn't just nitpick everything because he's probably nippicking everything.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
About me, Jason, Jon, I mean yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:22):
Like point taken, I'm sorry. I didn't think it was
that serious.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Great, Okay, so you're forgiving Jason.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Well, okay, so i'd still like us to go to
your friend's restaurant.
Speaker 6 (04:34):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely not. I'm not taking you anywhere
near my friend's restaurant.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Okay. Wow wow, okay, wow, that's harsh. Okay, what her
friend's restaurant picked apart?
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Yeah, you know, just tell your friend make sure you
have good service, and we won't be.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
Picking apart your restaurant standard.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
All right, Kayla, So no more dates of Jason.
Speaker 6 (04:58):
No, I think I'm good. I've moved.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Okay, thank you, by Kayla.
Speaker 5 (05:03):
Okay, bye, I mean I actually thought it made me
seem capable, like I worked in restaurants all throughout college though.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Just sharing my expertise, but whatever.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
Just sharing our expertise. What you want.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
I respect that, Okay, but okay, okay, we'll let you go. Jason. Well,
thanks for coming out of the second date update. Ok Okay, bye. Now, listen,
I grew up in restaurants.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
That's what I was waiting for.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
If I do my ran great restaurants a tight shift.
And if I see that this table should be bossed,
this manager should be doing their job better, there's no reason.
Then I will comment and I will just say that
I've been to many theater show with Amanda, who has
expertise in theater, and at INTERMISSI you're like, oh, they
should have fixed this, they should have fixed this, they should.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
On a first date with you. I'm on a first
date with somebody. I'm going to keep some things inside
my brain.
Speaker 6 (05:53):
I want to keep that illusion going on a little
longer that perfect way.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
Right, exactly.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Everyone that listens to this show knows I have trouble
keeping things inside my brain. Okay, they just come out sometimes,
All right, what are your thoughts?
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Four five for six one h two seven? Okay?
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Is did he go too far? Or is she just
being a little sensitive?
Speaker 2 (06:12):
A you doing?
Speaker 6 (06:13):
Good morning?
Speaker 7 (06:14):
I am all my way to work actually.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
At a restaurant.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
Oh nice?
Speaker 8 (06:20):
Okay, So it can be done on both ends. If
you don't think you're getting the service that you need,
you can also help your server out. If you see
that your cut needs to be filled, put your cup
to the end of the table to.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Where your server can see it.
Speaker 7 (06:36):
Okay, and then you know, so when your server's going by, ah,
light bulb, let me.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Go get something to drink for you. Or if you're done.
Speaker 7 (06:46):
With your salad bowl or your appetizer dish, set that
at the end of the table so when they're walking by,
they can just politely.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Grab that on their way to the back.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Okay, okay, maybe maybe it's uh, it's not all on
them to know when you're done. You can also like,
like they say, okay, this is more restaurant things.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
But I learned this from my aunt. Okay, okay, when
I was a child.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
She said, you put your silverware on your plate all
this certain direction that lets them know you are done eating.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
Yes, yeah, like that, like that's that kind of stuff.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
Or some people will throw a napkin on the plate.
I think that's kind of gross because but because then
all the food gets on the napkin. And now I
haven't discussed, but now usually this.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
Belch out loud, I'm done. That's how they know most servers.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
This is why I get frustrated, because most servers should
know I'm done eating because the plate looks like there
was never.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Food on it to begin with.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
I eat every chrumb and he licks the plan the
plate clean.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
Yes, y.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (07:46):
If you try those tactics and if they don't work, then.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
You've got a problem with servers.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Okay, yeah, advice.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
All right, thank you Crystal the dude.
Speaker 7 (07:56):
You're welcome.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
You guys have a great day.
