Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is gj Amanda and j Rod's second date updates.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
On kJ one three.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
Let's get Joel from Okay see on the second date update.

Speaker 4 (00:07):
H Joel, Hey, guys, how's it going good?

Speaker 3 (00:10):
We want to get you another date with Jane. So
what's the story about you and Jane?

Speaker 5 (00:14):
Yeah? So Jaye and I we met on a dating app,
which I feel like is how things go these days.
So yeah, so we messaged for like two days. I
got a pretty chill vibe from her, so, you know,
I asked her if she wanted to grab dinner and drinks,
and you know, she was into it.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
So that was good.

Speaker 5 (00:32):
So date night comes around.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
And like it went great, Like she looks awesome, Uh.

Speaker 5 (00:37):
Talks about normal first date stuff like I don't know.
I was thought it was kind of funny and she laughed,
So that's always kind of a good sign.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Sure, you know, trust me, I've been on some awkward dates,
so I know what it could be like. So it was,
you know, it just kind of went pretty smoothly. As
we were leaving, you know, I gave her a hug.
I told her, you know, I hit her up again,
hang out again soon sometime. She goes, Sure, so you know,
I thought it was a green light and all went well,

(01:08):
texted some buddies that you know, had a really good
first date. But then, like you know, I tested Jane
a couple of times and she just like has it responded,
like not even a thumbs up, like like just going.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
And so yeah, so like I don't know what happened.
I thought we had a.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Good vibe going felt good to me.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
So I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:28):
I just want to know, like what's up.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Okay, Well, I mean this is a typical story, so
I have no idea.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
You know, sounds good.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
You will get Jane on the phone and just find
out why she's not vibing with you the way you
thought you were vibing with her.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
Okay, Yeah, that's so good again?

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Yeah all right, yeah absolutely, Okay, we'll take a right,
we'll play a couple of songs with checking with Jane
for the second date update.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Yeah, the second date update with tj Amanda and j Rod.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
On kJ one three. Let's bring Jane into this second
date update. Hi, Jane, Joel told us the whole backstory
of your first date about how you know, you met
on an app and you vibed before and he thought
you vibed on the date, but you haven't returned any
of his texts.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Okay, So so Joel doesn't have any basic banners like
at all.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Like well, I mean.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
So I don't even know if the words please and
thank you exist in his world. Like every time the
server did anything, brought menus, dropped off food, refold water,
he never.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Said thank you, but he'd be like, okay.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
So one time he asked for.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Extra napkins and the server brings napkins and he goes
excellent or like yeah, just an excellent.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
And and she filled his water and he goes sweet, bro,
and like.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Broa wait, so you think those are things deserving of
a thank you very much? And he's going on sweep bro,
and that's that's your flag.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Exactly, like like, okay, every time I said thank you
to the serverl goes first show like like that was
him tagging.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Along with my thank you.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
Yeah, those are always to say please and thank you.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Just because they.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
Don't speak like Downtown Abbey or whatever doesn't mean.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
I'm rude, Okay, don't I say it wrong to Okay,
I was.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Normal human manners.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
Just normal human manners would be great thing, perfect is
polite thing?

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Great?

Speaker 5 (03:37):
Is plight? Like saying sweep brow instead of thanks.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Like that's just people through out please and thank you
out of habit, but it means nothing. So I just
put some effort into my word choices.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yeah rude on bro like, yeah, that's like great.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
Word choice, totally on the wrong thing. Like it's the
attention and I'm.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
You know, when we were out, I completely.

Speaker 5 (03:59):
Showed my appreciation to everyone who worked there in my
own way.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Well, it's like his whole vibe that, Like, if you
won't even try to be properly polite on a first date,
what does the third.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Date look like?

Speaker 5 (04:11):
Right?

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Like you're looking, yeah, are you dapping the server up
for bringing bread? Like what I was?

Speaker 5 (04:17):
Okay the bread good enough?

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (04:20):
Maybe?

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Okay Okaye, Jane, Okay, Jane, Okay. So you're saying, listen,
I need the words that universally mean thank you and
please and you're welcome whatever, and he doesn't seem to
want to do that. So are are we done or what?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Yeah? I think I'm good. Yeah, I think I'm gonna go.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
Okay, Okay, well, Jane, thank you very much for your
time today.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Okay, he knows the words.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
You're very welcome.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
That hard come on, okay, now go out with him?

Speaker 2 (05:01):
No, no, that's cool.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Okay, you're welcome.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Jane coming down downtown.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Okay, okay, Joel, Joel, would it hurt you just to
say thanks.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
Guys for the record. I still think perfect counts.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Thank you?

Speaker 3 (05:20):
So okay, you're okay with that.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
I think it's just words are to be used in
whatever we want, so I support this.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Okay, all right, well Joel, sorry we didn't get you
another day, but thanks for coming. On the second date update,
You're welcome in some circles, okay by Joel. Okay, you
know what one thing he said that got my attention
because I'm like, just say please and thank you. My gosh,
that you know. But but he's like, yeah, but people
threw off please and thank you with no meaning to it.

(05:52):
Mine mine have meaning and enthusiasm behind it.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
Yeah, it's really the effort behind.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
What you're saying.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
But still doesn't it hurt you like he's refusing to
say please come on four or five for six one
or two seven if you want to chime in? On
the second date update, kJ went out three E TJ
Amanda and Jay rout in the morning.

Speaker 6 (06:09):
Hey guys, it's Ray. So the second date update. I'm
kind of with her because even my five year old
when we go out, says please and thank you.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
True, It's very true. A five year old could do it.
Maybe your grown man.

Speaker 6 (06:24):
Case, Yeah exactly. And I'm big on manners, Like I
work in a warehouse and I get upset when people
don't say please, thank.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
You or excuse me.

Speaker 6 (06:37):
And I'm like, but my five year old could do this,
why can't you. Maybe they didn't have a mom as
good as you.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Maybe that's the problem.

Speaker 6 (06:45):
Maybe get a good mom. No, okay, I mean that
that could be true.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
But I agree.

Speaker 6 (06:55):
Manners are just basic human things you shouldn't have to
be It shouldn't have to take. Is that much for
him to say please and thank you over the air
when he won't even say it on a gate?

Speaker 3 (07:06):
That's true. Now let me ask you this though. Let
me ask you this because I agree. Could you just
throw out a please and thank you just so people
to communicate with people? Exactly what you're saying. But it
is him saying, you know, yeah, here's I refilled you water?
Him going amazing? Okay, any different than me going because
I don't always say thank you. I go appreciate it.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
That's a lot better. That's a different way.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Of saying thank you, but saying what is amazing?

Speaker 5 (07:34):
Or right on? Bro?

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Just his way saying thank you.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
I don't know because to me that would be kind
of rude because I have worked in the food industry
as well, and I'm like, I wouldn't take that. I
wouldn't take that either. I'd be kind of irritated, Like
you're a grown man. It's basic manners.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Well, I want to say I appreciate appreciation for you
calling right now by saying right on, Bro, Okay, okay,
I will see and you should come back with Shaw
show show right on? All right, bye bye, listen. I'm

(08:19):
cool with you communicating a different way, but also there's
some people that you just have to communicate in the
normal way and if you can't do that, then you're
not a good communicator. Does that make sense? Yeah, you
should be able to adapt to certain situations.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
And McKay on Facebook said, she sounds like the proper
English teacher that loves to correct everyone's speech.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
I say, he dodged a bullet, oh see, And Amanda,
you're kind of okay with him. I'm doing it that
way too.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
I think I've just dated too many like surfer dudes
that like I was too nice too, that we're just like, yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Well buddy. A man speaks surfer dude, I do, or
Brah he speaks bro

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
