I my girlfriend and I kind of long term girlfriend,
and I broke up two months ago and Amber just
swooped right in. She sent me a message the day
that I posted that I'm single again.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Let the body cool. What was her approach? She just
she was She played it cool. She said, Hey, I'm
sorry to hear about your breakup. I'm here for you
if you ever want to grab a drink. I'm paraphrasing,
but it was. It was something like that. And so
a couple of weeks ago, it was.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Nice out, and I, you know, figured, I mean, I say,
to hang on the patio and have a few drinks.
So I messaged her and we grabbed dinner and some
drinks and I actually thought everything went great. And now
she's not returning my messages, so I guess she's not
as here for me as she says she would.

thanks for coming on.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Whether this was your attention or intention or not, Joseph
said that the minute he posted on social media that
he broke up with his girlfriend, you kind of swooped
in and said, Hey, if you ever want to grab
a drink or anything, I'm here for you. And now
you're kind of ignoring him.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
So well, okay, Well he was flirting with some woman
that he knows on our date. Oh okay, And what
happened was, uh, you know, we were sitting there and
she comes up to him and gives him a big hug,
and then he hugs her back and says, it's like
something weird, like how baby, give me a squeeze it

(02:14):
feels so good.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Like wait wait wait, while you were right there and
doing that.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
I was right there. There's more. I mean, like it
turned out that she is his best friend's wife. So
he was flirting with his best friend's wife.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Wait wait wait, so so his best friend's wife shows
up and of course he gives her hug. It's his
best friend's wife, but he's going all baby, squeeze.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Me tired exactly. That didn't sit well with me.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Joseph, dude, what what what is that about?

Speaker 4 (02:47):
What I'm just I'm just sitting here in my mouth,
and I don't get what's so cool about hugging a friend.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
It was a front to front hug and and you
and you said like obey, be like squeez feels so
good or squeeze me tight whatever.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
I just said.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
And you're doing it in front of me.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
Like did she look like she hated it or was uncomfortable?

Speaker 1 (03:10):
I don't know looking at her, That's.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
What I was gonna say. This is your best friend's
wife and you're hugging her baby like pulling her hands.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
No, it was like she was playing along. We were
joking old friends and the high school. I mean there's nothing.
There's nothing strange about it.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
There.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
It was a joke. You hug your.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Best friend's wife like that, like are they swingers? AND's like,
is that swingers?

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Where did you make this leap? We know it was
like we were over exaggerating. It was like, oh yeah, baby,
squeezed me tight. We went to prom together, for goodness sake.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
There's history and your friend's wife like that.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
And you went, that's worse. You have a romantic history
with your best friend's wife. And I don't know how.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
To make you comprehend, like this was not a big deal, Amanda.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
You don't seem bothered by this at all.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
No.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
And I'm thinking back to when I was someone's wife
and my ex husband all of his friends, he was
in law enforcement. They were all these like big, burly,
like goofy dudes, and they would come I would see
them out and about and they would come up to
me and grab me and give me a hug or whatever,
and like it never.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Feels good, give me some sugar, baby, Like you think
it's silly.

Speaker 6 (04:38):
I think it's like a bit.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Does that make sense?

Speaker 1 (04:41):
No, I think it's terrible to act like that with
your friend's wife.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
I tried, Joseph, I tried to explain, but you.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Don't know us.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
I don't know how you can judge. But you know what, Amber,
I think you're a little too buttoned up for me.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Sorry, well good, if I know what inappropriate looks like,
that's not my bag.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Okay, Amber, thanks for coming on the second date update
and being honest with us.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
We appreciate it, right, Thanks you guys for including me,
all right, Seeya.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
I mean, at first glance, it doesn't matter, like I
don't think this is inappropriate at all. They're clearly old friends.
It's fine, not inappropriate in my opinion, but I'm just
saying it.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
At first glance, it's very inappropriate.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Look first, you're pulling.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
In for a tight squeeze front to front, give me
with your your best friend's wife, and hug me, oh baby,
hug me tight. You can kind of tell when people
are jokes. I don't know your attentions, but I could
see why she's offended by it.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
I mean, I don't I didn't realize she was the
inappropriate police when I agreed to this date.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
So you know, inappropriate, but alas, I'm stealing that. Okay,
we'll leave it at that Joseph, thanks for coming on
the second date up date buddies.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
Joseph, thanks.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
I can see it, and I can see why someone
would hate it. I I, in fact, that's a joke
I would do with an old friend. But would I
would I ever want to do that in front of
my wife who doesn't really know this person, let alone
a first date. Do you get what I'm saying? That
first day would be like whoa, Okay, he's hugging on
this friend.

Speaker 6 (06:11):
Okay, if that's the behavior that he would normally do,
you're thinking at starting a relationship with somebody, She's just
going to have to be comfortable with.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
It or not, and she's not. That's so she moved on.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
I learned.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
I don't know what do you think?

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Is he?

Speaker 4 (06:24):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (06:24):
I mean? Is he perfectly finding what he did? Or
was it inappropriate from your perspective? Four? Five, four, six,
one or two seven? Let's talk about the second date update.
kJ went on three T j Amanda and Jay Rod
in the morning.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
Well, if maybe she's like that in front of people
we know somebody around where do you lie?

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Oh, I see what you're saying.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
I found it. I found it a little inappropriate. I
would get a situation behind for one of my husband's
co workers, his wife.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
That friend of me.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
We were at a ball game and start living. I
put my husband take me away to get it again,
let's run away, and I'm thinking, hey, i'm here, Yeah,
let's run away. Yeah, very even if it was just joking, Yeah,
show respect for you know, the relationship.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Yeah, you're that's a good point. Thanks for calling.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
And I don't want to dive too deep into this thing,
but maybe there are inappropriate feelings there, or maybe they're
just like they're they're so best friends, all of them,
that it's not even a thought. There's no thought of inappropriate.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
There's a big difference between like goofy silly, oh hey baby,
and let's run away to.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Take off this situation yours the runaway to beg that
was inappropriate.

Speaker 6 (07:47):
That's the implication that those things happened.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
I would not want to be I would not want
my husband to be near this person. If I was
not there, that would be weird. Okay, all right, cool,

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
