Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is tj Amanda and j Rod's second date update
on kJ one O three. You got Nicole from Okay,
see on the second date update. Hi Nicole, Hey, hang
on Hello.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
So you already knew Joseph before you guys went out?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Is that right?

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Briefly, he dated my roommate in college. I wouldn't say
we were like friends or anything, but we were friendly.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Okay, so you knew each other?

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Yeah, I found up. I wound up like seeing him
a trader Joe's randomly one day a few weeks back,
and we just had a little conversation and he did.

Speaker 4 (00:30):
Ask me out.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
We did lunch.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
It was pretty casual. I think we both bought some
chemistry there.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Okay, cool, Okay, So so have you always kind of
liked to him, like, oh yeah, that's.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
A guy I would date, even back in the day.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
I didn't really think about it much because my roommate
was with him, but you know, I seemed he seemed like.

Speaker 5 (00:47):
A nice guy to me.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
He was cute.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
So okay, okay, yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Because you're on the second date update wanting to go
out again, but why has it not happened?

Speaker 3 (00:56):
He did ask me to get dinner that next weekend,
and I'm a bartender. I work nights, so instead of
doing dinner, I just suggested we do brunch instead.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Okay, brunch is good?

Speaker 5 (01:06):
How that go?

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I've been texting him trying to set up a date
and he got really weird about it and told me
that you can't make it.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
And that was three weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Now, okay, so weeks Oh no, okay, not happening.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
So I'm just like, what is going on here?

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:24):
All right, you know how it works. We'll get Joseph
on the phone and we'll just flat out ask him
what the deal is.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Okay, sounds good.

Speaker 5 (01:30):
The second date update with TJ, Amanda and j Rod
on kJ one O three.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Joseph, you're ready to do this?

Speaker 5 (01:37):
Joseph?

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yes, yes, okay.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
So, I mean we kind of told you that was
what this was about. You went on this date with Nicole.
She suggested you guys, go to brunch. You like, sounds good,
and you just kind of flaked out on her, curious
as to why she's not getting another date here.

Speaker 5 (01:52):
Joseph, Well, I mean, you know, look, I like brunch,
a big brunch fan. But you know, there was brunch
and then she kept inviting me to church.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Oh wait, what she invited you to go to church,
like like on the date?

Speaker 5 (02:07):
Yeah? Well yeah, but whenever every time i'd call and
try and set up the date, right, like, she kept
inviting me to go to church too. So it was
like church ambrunch.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Oh that's the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
So you say, yeah, I mean I got to.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
Have a problem with church. You know, I get it
important to a lot of people. But you know, I
went to church and I was a kid, and it's fine,
but you know, not really something I want to do
on like a date.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Oh, I see what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Okay, yeah, okay, it's not really Is that really.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
A second date thing? No, it's not really fun. I
mean maybe it is. I don't Nicole, come here, Nicole, Okay.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
You're making you sound like I was a missionary, like
trying to help you find God.

Speaker 5 (02:46):
Well, I mean, you know you did keep inviting me
to church, right, That's what.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Missionaries do because we were going to brunch.

Speaker 5 (02:54):
Oh wait, that's I guess that's one thing I can
go to brunch without church.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Nicole.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
What what was your I mean, like, what were you
thinking when you said, hey, let's go to church and
let's go to brunch.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
I mean I was just thinking, like I was going
to church, so I thought maybe instead of just meeting
me at brunch, he would want to join me at
church first and then we could just go from there.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Oh a little extra time, I get it.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
Yeah, But like, I don't know if you want to go,
like go for a walk before brunch some we can
hang out. But like you wanted me to go to
church and like worship and sing him, you can't go.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah, not my bag, No, I mean, but that's not.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
My thing right now, you know, like brunch is my thing.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
Like I like brunch, I like you.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
I would I would do brunch without you.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
I'm not into the church part of brunch.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Church little brunch.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Fine.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
I mean I was just saying, if you wanted to
go to church with me, it could be fun.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
Look, I went to church a lot as a kid.
I know a lot of things about church, and and
that doesn't really strike me as like a fun date. Really.
I mean, if we were like together as a family
and you want to do church and we can talk
about that, but like as the second day, get to know,
you don't, I don't know, Okay, Okay, Okay, you get
to know where who wants to go one day, Joseph.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
If we just we go back to the beginning, I'm
sure Nicole is cool with this.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
We don't just forget church was ever mentioned? You just
me that. Bruh, would you want to go out with
Nicole again? Nicole?

Speaker 5 (04:20):
I'm sorry, but probably not. I just spent my whole
childhood getting like guilted into going church, and I'm not
really trying to have that my dating life right now.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Hmmm, well, maybe you guys can do separate things on
Sunday mornings.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
I mean, that's not what I was doing. Joseph, I'm
sorry I even mentioned this going to church together.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
I just the sort of like guilt factor. It's a
little triggering for me.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I guess, I guess, I guess.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
So.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Okay, Hey, Joseph, Biblical name, by the way, walk on
your journey, and thanks for coming on the second date update.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Thanks yeah, thanks for having us. Good Bye.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Well, his mom must really kill guard him with the
church day with the church.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
I'm just wondering about your perspective. Why is church like
the go to for a second date? What's that all about?

Speaker 3 (05:06):
I mean, I could see maybe where it would seem
uncomfortable to some people. But like I have fun at church.
I drink coffee, there's good music, our pastor is super funny.
I just thought Joseph.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Would like it.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Okay, Well, Nicole, sorry, we couldn't get you in another
date with Joseph.

Speaker 5 (05:21):
I mean, I don't know, maybe you could meet somebody
at church.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
That's an idea. I don't know. Seriously, that's a dude there.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I guess we couldn't get you in another date with Joseph.
But thanks for coming on the second date out date.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Okay, that's okay, thank you. It's probably for the best anyway.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Yeah, there there's still a chance to save him. We
can say.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Stop this back up, he doesn't want it can be saved.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
The call, Okay.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
I mean, like I said, I've tried to think how
many times I've gone to church in brunch, but it's
always been like with my family, It's never been like
a you know, or or maybe it'd be with someone
that actually you already go to that church. But to
add it in, I could see where I'm going. What
church is very it's personal. It's yea, all your thoughts
if you want to call it in chime on.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
That priority, okay, And if that is, if that is
one of her priorities, then I ain't got no problem
with it, because let me tell you, I'm trying to
find me a lady and my boundaries order. She's got
to have a job, a cord, and willing to go
to church. If he says no one church then and
that's a deal breaker. I mean, it kind of is.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
You know what we did, we were he did kind
of fast forward through a few things that may be
a breaking point for her. She obviously likes going to church.
He obviously does it right now. It doesn't mean at
some point he might not come over to her side.
But if she's like, nah, I need someone that's all
in spiritual the way you are, then maybe she figured
out this guy is not the one for her.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Uh huh. Because if he's not going to go to
church now, and it says, well, maybe we all go
to church six months from now, and let's just say
that they were together six months, what's his accused going
to be in six months?

Speaker 3 (06:59):
That's two.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
You have to kind of sauce out what people like
and don't like, and if it's similar to what you
like and don't like. And that's an easy way to
do it. I get it, all right.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
So if she's looking for a go going to church
guy and he's just like no, right off the bat,
that's not me. Maybe down the road, then that's not her.
That one's not for her. Maybe that's maybe that's God saying, Okay,
there's your sign. He's not going to church now, what
makes things He's going to go to church in six.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Months makes perfect sense?

Speaker 2 (07:27):
And also maybe be like, hey, uh, you know that.
Why don't we go on on Tuesday, well, have some
Mexican food, then we'll go vote afterwards.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Which that's a thing. It's a primary. Are you registered
to vote in this primary? Are you?

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Are you not?

Speaker 1 (07:40):
It's a sneaky a to find out these things.
