typical story.

Was great and suggested that we go out again, and
she told me the messenger but doesn't.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Reply to any of my messages.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
I the I listened to the second Date update all
the time, and I thought, this time I take advantage
of the service, the pre public service you offer there.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Is that what you call this a free public service? Okay, okay,
so let me just ask a few questions. So you
did have the first date and you said.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
You thought it went great and and and you're just
ghosted and you want to know why.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Yeah, I'm just confused.

Speaker 5 (00:59):
I want to know what's going Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:00):

I mean, this is a typical story. Met on Hinge
went on a date, thought it was good, everything said,
you guys are going out again here you are go
on him?

Speaker 5 (01:40):
Sure, okay, Look, there was no red flags at first.
He was normal when we first message each other. I
mean I thought he was super attractive and interesting or
the second date for sure. Towards the end of the date,
he was starting.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
To get like all over my business, like the personal.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
Stuff, oh like what ash Well. The biggest thing was
he asked me how much money I make? Red flag?
It's odd, right, yeah, that's pretty personal right for a
first date. It was just a bit much. And I
told him, like, I find that question to be off
limits on a first date. And then he was like,
come on, come on, I'll.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Tell you how much money I make.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Wait, okay, okay, well no, I guess we don't have
to say on the well say whatever you want.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
And then what no, no, no, don't worry. I was like, no,
that's not necessary. And that's when he goes, I make
seventy five thousand dollars a year, and I'm like, okay,
good for you. And then he just kept pressuring me
to disclose my salary and I'm just like, that's none
of your damn business.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Okay, Tony, come on in here, Tony, Tony did you ask?

Speaker 2 (02:50):
I don't care. Why do you think it's still tat.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Bood talking about your salary?

Speaker 5 (02:54):
I don't think it's just me here, like nobody is
telling their date. I don't even talk about this stuff
with my parents.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Like I don't want to talk to you about I mean,
are you ashamed of your salary? Like?

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Why is that?

Speaker 5 (03:06):
No, Tony, Okay, look, it's none of your business how
much money I make. And you're the only person I
know who tells people how much money he makes.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Tony, Like, I got seriously, Tony, this isn't like a
thing that people are like, Hey, let's all go out
and talk about how much money we make.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
That big of a well, like, look, okay, so tez, how.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Much money you make?

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Like, is there a big deal or a manda any
of you guys?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
How much?

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Why?

Speaker 5 (03:34):
I used to be very open about how much I might.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
I used to kind of brag around it a little bit,
and I had a good friend sit me down and
be like, please stop doing that.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
That's what he was doing to me, And it's very uncomfortable.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Okay, all right, So you're a private person. I get it. Fine,
it's okay. So I won't ask about your salary until
we're in a relationship or something.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
Well, are you delusional? I'm more likely to say my
salary on the radio than ever ever to go out
with you again?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Okay, all right in that case, In that case, what's
your salary? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:05):
How much you make? Now?

Speaker 5 (04:07):
Dealt deal?

Speaker 3 (04:08):
You just said?

Speaker 2 (04:09):
You're just okay, unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Any chance that you're interested in going out with Tony again?

Speaker 5 (04:17):

coming on the second date update. We're gonna let you go.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
I don't understand what everyone's so ashamed of look I make.
I make seventy five thousand dollars a year. I just
said on the radio, who cares? People get mad?

Speaker 1 (04:39):
I've been told that people don't like it.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Yeah, well they get mad.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
I try to How much do you make a man?

Speaker 2 (04:45):

Speaker 5 (04:45):
Well this was I used to brag about it at
my old job, where I did.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Make, in fact, six faces.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
So you're saying this job, so this job is not braggable.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
I don't.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
I don't talk about this.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Anymore, Amanda, you went into radio, I quit bragging about.

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life.
