Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is t J Janet and j Rod's second date
update on kJ one to three, Amanda from Midwest City
had a first date with Nick and he's just really
taking his time wanting to go on a second date.
What's the whole story here, Amanda?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Well, I met this beautiful guy at my sister's thirtieth
birthday party and he's a friend of my sister's best friend.
So we really hit it off and we were having
a great night and I ended up giving him my number,
which I never ever do, and I didn't hear from
him for like six months.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Well okay, like, wow, I'm not waiting around for him
to call.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
And then out of the blue, I'm guessing he called you.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yes, actually, just a few months ago he called and
he asked me out to dinner, and so of course
I said yes.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
After going who are you again the guy from the
birthday party?

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Oh yeah, okay?

Speaker 2 (00:50):
And it was a really great first date. I mean,
he picked me up, he brought me flowers, he took
me to this really really really nice restaurant and seem like,
you know that we were going to be going out again.
Everything was great, even after dinner, I told him, but
I had a great time and we should do it again.
And he said totally give me a call. And I

(01:10):
haven't heard from him. It's said about two months.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
Oh wow.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Maybe that's just guys, are you know what do you
mean well that he never calls Maybe just like tast
you one time and months go by. Next maybe four
more months he'll call you, wait four more months and
calls back. Now have you tried contacting him at all, Amanda?

Speaker 2 (01:28):
You know, two or three times. I don't want to
overdo it, but at this point, like I felt like
he was really interested, and now I'm not even sure,
and I don't want to wait another six months, you know,
to hear from him or to go out again. And
I thought we had a really good time. So that's
why I am calling you, guys, and maybe speed things
up a little.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Okay, Okay, so you don't necessarily you're not.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Necessarily calling like most second date updates, which is what
did I do wrong? You're just like, okay, this guy,
it's just you know, it.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Takes it for a call.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
All right, we'll take a break, play a couple of songs,
we'll see what his deal is.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Hopefully get you another date.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Second Date Update kJ went on three TJ Janet, Jay
R Out of the morning. It's TJ, Jannet and j
Rides Second Date Update pin kJ one three.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Let's get right into this.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
We got Nick on the second date update and Nick,
Amanda from Midwest City, told us, it took you six
months to call her for the first date. So now
she wants to know are you just taking your suite
time to call her for the second date or are
you avoiding her?

Speaker 4 (02:24):
No, I'm not.

Speaker 5 (02:24):
I wouldn't say I'm avoiding her. I don't really go
on a lot of dates, you know, so or anything
like that. But what I do, I like to go
all out, you know, with dinner and flowers. And we
would took Boulevard Steakhouse, all that.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Restaurant. Okay, good one, Okay.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
Not cheap, but you know it's worth it. So we
get there. We're looking over the menu and keep asking
her what she wanted to order, and she kept looking
and she didn't know what to order. And I told
her that, you know, don't worry about the price, it's
on me and just order something you want. So the
waiter came by and asked, uh, you know what she wanted,

(03:05):
and she said she said, I'll just have the side
order of fries. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
The waiter like, is that all?

Speaker 5 (03:14):
And and she said, yes, that's that's all I'm gonna eat.
So I don't know what to say because I'm ready
to eat the twenty two ounce and the fever and
the potatoes.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
And anything like that.

Speaker 5 (03:23):
Head yeah, so why why did you just get fried?
You could have you could have anything on the menu.
And uh, She's like, I don't like all this fancy
food or anything. She's like a she she's a spaghettios
a hot dog.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Is what she said.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Yeah, man, wait, hold on, Amanda's on the phone listening
to all this. Amanda and hot dog. Go ahead and
say hi to Nick. Nick, say hi to Amanda. Well,
are you really a spaghettios and hot dogs kind of girl?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Absolutely?

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
There wasn't anything on there that I felt like I
was going to be able to enjoy. And that's what
asked that. You said, get whatever I wanted, and so okay,
it sounded good.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
I guess I just don't see why this would be
a deal breaker because she ordered Nick, why why.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Are you so bothered by this? Why is it a
big deal to you?

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Well, you know, I took the effort to take her
out to a nice place and to order some real food,
and we should have gotten steak.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Sure you should have told me that.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
That's you know, if you wanted to order for me.
But you know, I'm used to if you want to
take me out on a nice date, you are going
to let me get whatever I want. And I hunks
of meat I heard, I mean, no offense or anything.
Steak is wonderful, but it's too much cutting. It's it's
it's too much work to eat a big steak.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
I just don't see the problem. Show what she wanted fries,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
It's it's almost like one of those calls that we
get where the person's like, oh, I took them out.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
And they ordered the most expensive thing on the menu.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
And this is just.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
About she ordered what she wanted.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Okay, see what the big deal is? I don't care
what you eat? Why do you care?

Speaker 5 (05:05):
Yeah, exactly, Well, you're you're not you know, five years old,
you're not at a McDonald's. It was weird.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Okay, Nick, this really bothered by that. So Nick, this
is a deal breaker. I mean, are you saying you
don't want to go out with her anymore or what?

Speaker 5 (05:19):
Yeah, I think so it just it shows her maturity
level and I'm looking for a mature adult woman.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
So it's just my eating habits. I'm sorry that you know.
I'm not eating testicles or big fancy caviar. It's not
like I'm sucking my thumb or playing with dolls.

Speaker 5 (05:42):
I wouldn't be uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
I would.

Speaker 5 (05:43):
It's that's why I bring you there is for you.
I'm it's I'm sure it's a sign of my commitment
level or my openness to being mature and responsible.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
Again there's that word again.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Okay, okay, all right, all right, Nick, thanks for telling
us the story, and we appreciate you coming on with
a great grial cheese sandwich. Don't kid yourself, Okay, all right,
see you, Nick.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
All right.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
I hope that he's still listening, because as far as
it's concerned on my part, I don't take anyone seriously
that takes six months to call a girl back and
then is going to be fluffy about whatever.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
Okay, I mean, Janet, you don't like seafood.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
If you end up at a restaurant that's all seafood
except for fries. Jan it's ordering the fries. That's what
I'm saying. Basically, let's do it, give the fries. My
wife's the same way. If that's the only thing that's
wrong with you, Amanda.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
She's a cheap date exactly.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
All right, what do you think four oh five for
six L one O two seven? Let's talk about this
second date up takes.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
That's so like I kind of agree with what she
said right before or right after he left, about you know,
the maturity of six months, Like you don't call somebody
for six months.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
That sure doesn't look like you want the date at all.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Sure, and that's immature to keep somebody waiting so long
and then act like that on the date.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Okay, So she's immature for eating fries.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
He's immature for I don't know, being flaky whatever his deal.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Is, like making somebody wait that lost sure.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Sure, yeah, well, Cecilia says the same thing. She's like.
He says his food choices show maturity, Yet he's the
one complaining about French fries.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Yeah, there you go, Okay, thank you, Seanna, Okay, Bye.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
I mean I would be disappointed. I'd be like, that's
all you're getting. I took her out just for steak.
She got fries. She sat there and ate fries. But
why disappointed? Dipped it in ranch because we at a
nice restaurant. You know, French fries are nice. Sometimes we'll
call him Freetz, but but whatever. Okay, we've got a
keyword to win one thousand dollars to pay your bills.
