Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is t J, Jannet and j Rod's second date
update on kJ one O three get.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Derek from Okay see on the second date update. I mean, Derek,
when you message us, you said you had a sleepover.
Huh Okay, I.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
Mean yeah, okay, yeah, she slept over and she stayed
for breakfast. But I had to clarify, nothing happens like
we did. We didn't even kiss.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
You're such a gentleman, right, So what what was the
point of this? Like, why how does she end up
sleeping over?
Speaker 3 (00:28):
So Summer her name is Summer. She lives out by
El Reno and she works in Oklahoma City. Okay, so
our first date was dinner and okay, see, and you know,
we started drinking some wine and one bottle and.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Two as it does.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
So, I mean, I'm pretty good about holding my lequer.
But apparently she hardly ever drinks, she said, because most
of her friends live in the city, and you know,
she always has to drive back to a reno and
when she was, she really wasn't in any shape drive
and she went in to uber all the way back there.
But I offered my couch so that she could drive
(01:10):
home in the morning.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Okay, very nice of you, and then nothing happened. It
was just here's a place to stay, okay, very gentlemanly.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Okayah, and then you know, before she left, you know,
we had breakfast together.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
So obviously I mean she she might have stayed overnight
out of necessity, but she's not staying.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
For breakfast unless she had a good first date, right, Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
So you know, I mean I've asked her out several
times and she either has an excuse or just doesn't reply,
and so so she's obviously not interested. But because I'd
like to torture myself.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
I'm going to be on the second day update.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yeah, I don't try to figure out why.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Okay, yeah, or maybe she has stay for she has
stayed for breakfast because she was hungry, but she's like,
I want nothing to do. I hear he's got great
pancakes here with Derek. Okay, well, then you know it works.
We'll get somewhere on the phone and we'll just ask gir. Okay,
all right, it's TJ, Jannit and Jay Rods second date update.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
On kJ one O three.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
We're trying to get another date for Derek. We actually
he kind of said I don't know if I'm getting
another date. I'm just torturing myself to find out why
Summer doesn't want to go out with me again. They
drank a lot on their first date. Wine, yeah, and
she stayed overnight at his house so she didn't have
to drive back to El Reno. Nothing happens, slept on
the couch, but now she's like out, He got excuses
(02:34):
why she doesn't want to go out again or whatever.
Now he's just not heard from her at all. So
we got to get somewhere on the phone to find
out what happened.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Hi, where did this go wrong?
Speaker 4 (02:45):
I don't know how Derek can be so nice and
be such a gentleman and take care of me when
I acted like a drunken lush and then they like
completely ruin all of that, you know, and totally insult me.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Whoa I was left? Give us the details here.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
So I sleep on his couch and I wake up
with this wine hangover, and Derek wanted to take me out.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
To breakfast before I had to drive home.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
And again I was very sweet of him, you know,
wanting to take care of me. And we're about to
leave for breakfast, and he says don't you need to
fix yourself up? And I told him that I already did,
you know, fix myself up, Like I didn't have any
makeup or anything, but you know, I washed up and
(03:34):
I threw my hair up in a messy.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
Bun and yeah, and he was.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
Yeah, I did the best I could. And he was like, no,
I mean fix yourself to go, you know, fix yourself
up to go out. And I was like, well, this
is as good as.
Speaker 5 (03:48):
Is gonna get today.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
I didn't plan on staying over.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
But then on the way to breakfast, he said, why
don't I just call ahead and order the food to go?
And I was like, okay, it's fine. But then we
got to the restaurant, he made me wait in the
car and I was sitting there, I realized, you know,
he's a shamed to be seen with me because I
didn't fix myself up to his expectations or whatever.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Are okay, Okay.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
So yeah we went, I mean, you know, we went
back to his house.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
He ate it and then I laughed.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
But I thought, oh, that was pretty shell of him
to hide me because I wasn't sicked up.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Okay, Derek, dude, Derek.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Okay, So I think you look great to fixed up
or not?
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Which is kid? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (04:32):
Okay, tell me the truth though, Yeah, were you ashamed
to be seen with me that morning?
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Okay, honestly no, but but.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
But he didn't look good?
Speaker 6 (04:51):
Oh oh wow?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Okay, okay, okay, okay, here's what Here's what I meant
that you didn't look well.
Speaker 4 (04:59):
That that's what I Why are you try and what
what are you trying to tell me?
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (05:06):
So I mean I've been hung over. The last thing
I want to do is sit in a loud restaurant.
So I thought if we picked up the food to
go and just went back to my house, you know,
that would be easier.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Okay, So okay, So what you're saying she didn't look well.
She looked like she wasn't feeling well. So you were
being a good dude? Yeah I didn't, you know, I
didn't want her to.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Yeah, I have to feel bad about sitting in a
restaurant trying to go through that. You know, it's just
easier to go eat that thing at home.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Yeah, you're not buying, I'm not.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
I boy.
Speaker 7 (05:38):
You you would have been like are you if you're
too hung over? Like I will totally go pick up
that food and we can just eat it here.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
You know what I'm saying. I don't think that's it.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
A sorry summery somewhere. Don't listen to Janet. Don't listen
to jan don't listen to me. You heard everything. Are
you buying it? Would you be willing to go on
another date with Derek? Who you said he was a
gentleman all the way up until this point, and all
he's saying is no, I was still trying to be
a gentleman.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
I mean you should go out with him again. We'll
pay for it.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
I don't know what to think.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
So is that a maybe? Are we getting maybe out
of you?
Speaker 4 (06:16):
I mean, yeah, I guess maybe.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
I don't Okay, yeah, you think about it. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Derek text her in a few days when she feels well, summer,
thanks for coming on the second date up day and
then keep us up to date.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Okay, Okay, go fix yourself up. Yeah, go fix yourself up.
I didn't mean to interrupt.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
You by summer, Okay, Derek, last words?
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Anything you want to say here? Oh I hung up
on Derek goll dang it. Okay, Well, well then we'll
never know. Did him a favor okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
So I mean the question is was he being a
gentleman or was he insulting her?
Speaker 5 (06:58):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (06:59):
Four?
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Five, one two seven If you want to chime in
on this, yeah, like ad eight update kJ went on
through etj janet j ron in the morning.
Speaker 6 (07:07):
Oh Derek, I am surprised there is enough room in
your mouth for food with your foot in there.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Oh kay?
Speaker 7 (07:18):
Good god?
Speaker 2 (07:18):
All but he had good intentions, right? Don't you think
his intentions were well meaning?
Speaker 6 (07:26):
I I think I think they were just.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
Because if I mean think about it.
Speaker 6 (07:35):
You are a girl going on a.
Speaker 5 (07:37):
First date with a guy.
Speaker 6 (07:38):
It turns into a sleepover.
Speaker 5 (07:40):
As you said, like as he said.
Speaker 6 (07:43):
And you know, if he was a big old b bag,
he could have tried to pull something.
Speaker 5 (07:49):
But no, he let.
Speaker 6 (07:50):
Her sleep it off, which is very gentleman like.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
That is very nice.
Speaker 7 (07:54):
Yes, I think he could have chose his.
Speaker 5 (07:57):
Words a lot better though, instead of saying like, uh.
Speaker 6 (08:01):
Are you gonna get fixed up?
Speaker 7 (08:03):
It's I mean, if someone told me that, I'd be like,
are you gonna get fixed up?
Speaker 6 (08:09):
That's totally what I would say.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Part of me thinks he was protecting her from being
seen looking bad in public, maybe thinking she doesn't realize
it because she still might be a little tipsy for
the night before, and the other party is, well, is
there a part of him that's.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Like, I can't be seen with this girl in public? Yeah,
and that's where it gets rude. That's where it gets rude.
This is not her first rodeo, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
She's probably been out hungover before and fully knows.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
What she looks like.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Yeah, it doesn't care, just because he does not care
who sees her at Walmart, which she does not care.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Okay, all right, great.
Speaker 6 (08:45):
No one wants to be a secret.
Speaker 5 (08:47):
So that's my other thing too, is like nobody wants
to be a secret. But he could have worded it differently,
like if it was because she looked like she was hungover. Like,
I get it. I've never been hung over, but I
have been.
Speaker 7 (09:01):
Sick before, and I've been forced to go out into
public and be an adult and do things I don't
want to do, so I understand the uncomfortableness of all
of that.
Speaker 6 (09:12):
So maybe he was.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
Trying to spare her of that.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Yeah, either way.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
I've worded it better.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Yeah either way, aren't you going to fix yourself up
before we go?
Speaker 5 (09:20):
Out.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
It's not the thing to say. Okay, all right, thanks
for going.
Speaker 6 (09:25):
Yeah, I think it's
