Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is t J Janet and j Rod's second date update.
On kJ one O three, Jason explained the whole situation
between you and Monica and your first date.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Sure.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Yeah, I'm at monica Payway. I mean, I'm waiting for
my to go order and she just ordered her food
and kind of just stood there and talked and well,
we mentioned we're both single, and in the end she
asked for my Instagram and messaged me a week later said,
you know, we should pick up some more Payway and
hang out again.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
Oh I like that. I like that she knows you
like Payway. She goes, you're there for the fortune cookies.
Come Ony Way's good. Okay, So you hung out.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeah, it was Saturday afternoon type thing outside, really casual.
I felt we had a really good connection, and you know,
I sensed the physical attraction as well. Hello, And so
I said, next time, I'm going to take her out
for a nice dinner. She said that'd be great and
I should definitely contact her. So, I mean I waited
a couple of weeks and texted her, Hey, can you

(00:58):
do dinner this weekend? And she takes back, why don't
you just save your money? Wow?

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Yeah, that sounds a little cold a little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Yeah, yeah, I mean because I expect her saying no,
I'm good, and she takes back, yeah, I'm good, not
going out again.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Okay, So it was meant to be cold. Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Wow, yeah, it was very confusing. I mean, if she
didn't want to go out, she could have just said
that on her date instead of telling me a contact right.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Ye yeah, that's such a guy thing to say, contact
me when you know you don't want to go out again.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
But yet she did it to you, Jason, how dare she?

Speaker 5 (01:32):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Okay, So okay, you know how this works. I mean,
it's a second ate update. We're gonna get it Monica
on the phone. We're gonna get her side of the stores.
You just sit back, listen. We'll try to get an
honest answer out of why she thinks you need to
save your money.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
So save your money? So all right, we will take a.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Break, play a couple of songs, and then we'll get
the story. Here for the second date update kJ Wettle three,
TJ Janet and Jay Rod in the morning.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Second Date Update kJ one O three, You go on
what you thought was gonna make.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
First dates can lead to many more dates, and for
some reason, the other person in this case being Monica.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
Says something.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Monica says something to Jason like you need to save
your money and I don't want to go out again.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
And I'm going, why would you say something like that?

Speaker 6 (02:16):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (02:18):
The first like tiny little red flag but nothing huge
was that I told him on.

Speaker 6 (02:22):
Our date that I had never been to Vegas, right,
And he was like, what, Oh, I go every year.
You gotta go, you know, like I go to Vegan.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Hold hold ont a second, Hold on a second, I'll say,
Jason's on the phone.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Hi.

Speaker 6 (02:37):
Okay, so you said that you couldn't take me out
to dinner until after the fifteenth because you're still paying.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Off your best friend.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
So then there's that okay, like like is he a
bookie or what's what's what's with your guy?

Speaker 4 (02:53):
What's with your best friend? Jason?

Speaker 3 (02:56):
He's not my best friend. I mean we were on
the basketball team in high school and then you.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
Bet that guy one thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
That you could beat him in basketball.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Wow, this sounds like someone lost.

Speaker 6 (03:09):
You told me that you paid him two hundred and fifty.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Dollars a check, right, Like that's your payment plan, which.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
Makes me think that Number one, you bet money you
didn't have, and then you're talking about Vegas, and then
you made this thousand dollar bet, and I just all.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
That adds up to for me gambling problem.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
You said a payment plan with your friends. Well, I mean,
but I get it, he's paying.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Listen.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
I'm going to defend Jason a little bit because I
don't know if he's a gambling addict or not.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
But I am not a gambler at all.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
And I've made stupid hundred dollars bets with my friends
that I've lost, thinking.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
This is a thousand, but I don't gamble at all.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
One hundred dollars to me, this is a lot of money.

Speaker 7 (03:53):
Hey, you're not helping because you said you don't gamble
at Also, one hundred dollars a.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Lot of money.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Jason, what do you want to chy? I'm not doing
a good job defending you. Would you like to defend yourself?

Speaker 3 (04:05):
It was a trash talk bit, that's all, wasn't me.
I really didn't think I was gonna lose.

Speaker 6 (04:09):
Gambling adicts never thinks they're gonna lose.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Monica, are you like a counselor or somebody even knows
this stuff about gambling.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Am I don't know I.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Was a gambling addict.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
I think that he needs.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
To save his money and and not make bets that
he doesn't have money.

Speaker 5 (04:28):
To pay out, and probably stay away from Vegas.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Okay, So so no second date?

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Yeah, would you like to gamble on a second date
with him? Get it? I just don't what if we
said he's a sure thing?

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Stop?

Speaker 4 (04:44):
All right, Monica?

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Okay, I mean you know you feel how you feel,
So thanks for being honest with us.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
We appreciate.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Okay, don't go buy a lottery because that makes you
a gambling addict.

Speaker 6 (04:53):
Jros Worth of Lottery Ticket.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
All right, bye, Monica. Maybe he's rich, Okay, bye, Monica.
We'll just let you go. Okay, I don't know by Okay.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
So it's kind of just like I mean, seriously, some
guys we just mad.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
We make stupid bets with our friends.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Right.

Speaker 7 (05:14):
No, But I'm I'm weirded out by this a little
because you made a dumb bet with a friend over
something kind of silly, and he's holding you to payment
plan like you're paying him a thousand dollars.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Janet, Maybe that's a dude thing. Maybe that's a dude thing.
So you don't get that.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Friends would make a stupid bet with another friend, not for.

Speaker 7 (05:38):
Like a thousand dollars, and I'm holding you to it.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Well, Jason, this didn't go well for you at all
with the bet, with the with the date, with none of.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
It, right, No, I mean I just have to write
that one off.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Yeah, take your loss and leave.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
Okay, all right, we'll just move on. Jason, thanks so much.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
We appreciate your time, buddy, Thank you. Okay, see you later.
That's a lot of money. I know that's big business,
but we're dumb. We're dumb guards. I know that's a
gambling we think.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
Well.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
I mean I once bet Jason that some song was
in some movie. I'm betting Jason at the movies that
some song was in some movie.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
I'll bet you a hundred bucks. He goes, okay, I'll
take that bet, sucker. And I had to pay him
a hundred bucks. Yeah, this is a thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Well, I know, but for me, and he'll be on
the payment plan.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
So you say you wouldn't go out with that guy.
He's irresponsible with money. Okay, chime in if you want
four oh five for six one or two seven, Tonga.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
I worked at Mercy him on my way to work.
I just want to comment real quick.

Speaker 7 (06:40):
Yeah, I get a point.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
I feel like maybe he don't he kind of have
like some financially stable.

Speaker 5 (06:46):
And maybe maybe he needs to listen to kJ a
little bit more.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Maybe he can win that thousand dollars.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
That's what I'm talking about on sooner. How great would
it be? We please ask?

Speaker 1 (07:01):
How are you going to spend your one thousand dollars?
History says well, I bet my friend that I could
beat in.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
My basketball a thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
This girl won't go on with me because I'm making payments.
So now maybe if I pay off this guy, I
can get this girl and go home with me again.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
I'll be like, all right, then.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
We would play it over.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Good.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Good call Patty, Good call you too.
