This is t J Janadan j Rod's second date update
on KJE three. We got Kate from OKC in this morning.
How you doing, Kate?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
I honestly don't know what I am wanting to happen here.
I don't know. I just don't think I'm going to
get another date with George pretty much, because he texted
me after our first date and he was like, nice
meeting you. You seem to be overwhelmed, so best of luck.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Oh wow, man, wow, have you tried to end to code?
What that means?
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I don't know what that means. I mean, yeah, I
mean I'm a human. I'm overwhelmed daily. I'm also right,
and I mean I am a single mom, and you
know I'm in management at my job. But I don't know.
I just don't give I don't feel like I gave
off the vibe that I was overwhelmed.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Okay, And that's the last you've heard from him?
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yeah, that's I've not heard back from him since then.
And that's the last thing he texted me.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Nice meeting you, best of luck, you're overwhelmed? Wow? All right? Well, yeah,
I don't know if you're getting another date either. I
think you are we're overwhelmed now, But but I don't know,
Maybe you can explain that you're not overwhelmed. I don't know.
We'll get George on the phone and we'll decipher his
message and figure out if we can get you another date. Okay, okay,
(01:26):
if you have time for it. You seem very overwhelmed.
I'm kidding. You don't seem overwhelmed. You seem the perfect
amount of whelm. Yeah, just perfectly whelmed. Okay, Well, all right,
we'll check in with him next. It's TJ Janet and
Jay Rods Second Date Update on kJ one three. George,
(01:48):
welcome to the second date update. Hi, thank you. Okay. So,
so Kate called us and she said that, you know,
you guys went on this date. She thought it was great.
Then you sent her a text something like, uh, it's
nice meeting you, but your life seems overwhelmed, so best
of luck with that, and that's the last she heard
of you. Like, like, listen, her life.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
It was just it was so overwhelmed that she brought
her son to our date. I show up and there's
a six year old and there's her. You know, listen,
I was I was raised by a single mom, right.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Like, I get how hard it is, but like, if
you have so much on your plate you got to
bring your son, then you just rescheduled the date, right, Like,
I don't. I don't plan on meeting anyone's kids till
we're serious, you know, not on a first date.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Just just too much. Okay, So you think she just
has so much going on in her life that she
had to she's overwhelmed. Kate's on the phone. Let's get
Kate in on this conversation.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah, Hey, I don't know. You made it sound like
I was being sneaky and I brought my son on
our date on purpose.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
No I No, I didn't say you did it on purpose.
But you two overwhelms.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
You have to bring your six year.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Old son on a date, and maybe you shouldn't be dating?
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Wow, nose, But who are you to say if I
should or should be dating? And what happened that night
was like a last minute circumstance.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Out of my control. What happened, Kate?
Speaker 2 (03:20):
So my babysitter was supposed to pick up my son
from daycare and she had a car issue.
Speaker 5 (03:25):
So I picked up my son on the way to
our date, and.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
She was going to meet me at the restaurant, but
she was running late.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Okay, that's what I mean.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
What do you mean, that's what you do.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
It's obvious, right, like your your life is too overwhelming
to be dating.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
It's obvious, like.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Yeah, And he did not seem this annoyed when we
were on our date. I'm not annoyed.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
I'm just being real.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
You you've got too much going on to date.
Speaker 6 (03:59):
I'm sorry, but I kind of feel like you're being
a little harsh, George, Like, like, like she said, she
had plans, she has everything under control.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
This is a special circumstance. It sounds like Kate had
everything figured out. Yeah, and then the babysitter. Maybe the
babysitter's overwhelmed because the babysitter, like is the one that
screwed this up. This is a one time thing, you know.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Hearing you know, I mean, listen. And then the six
year old was on a date with a random man.
Like I told her in my text that I thought that,
you know this, she was too overwhelmed, And honestly, I
thought I was done talking about it. You know, but
you know, someday, if your life slows down and you're
going out to go again to go out again and
that's let's do that.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
No, actually, I'm good, but you know, thanks for the
amazing offer.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Wow wow, okay, all right, George, thanks for coming on
the second date update. And you know we asked you
for your honesty and you gave it to us. Seem
a little overwhelmed. Uh okay, all right by George, Thanks buddy.
Speaker 7 (05:05):
Okay, I think that overwhelmed is a harsh choice of
words or something you felt overwhelmed.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
No, I was overwhelmed that day because her car broke down,
but she's normally super reliable and I definitely had my
wife under control.
Speaker 8 (05:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
How long was your kid at this date before the
babysitter showed up?
Speaker 2 (05:27):
I don't know, like ten or fifteen minutes. It wasn't
a big deal. I didn't think.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
But wow, do you think.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Someone who is raised by a single mom.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Would just be more understanding? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (05:36):
Yeah, yeah, you're kind of right.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Sorry that then, yeah, sorry you had to go through
this this morning. But sounds like you're a great mom
and you seem like a good person and there's someone
out there who and you keep doing you hustle.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Thank you, we'll do Thanks guys, all.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Right, and now let's be a little real. Do you
think she's overwhelmed? Do you think that's too much? You think, what,
you can't be dating if you have to bring your
kid to the date because you can't figure out what?
Speaker 4 (06:01):
You know?
Speaker 1 (06:01):
I don't, but I mean maybe I'm I mean, you know,
I'm always overwhelmed and you just got to make things
work in the middle of that. Or was he just
really like, oh, you brought your you know?
Speaker 9 (06:14):
Was he more put off that the kid was there?
Speaker 1 (06:17):
I don't know. What do you think? Four oh five
four six OL one O two seven. Let's let's discuss
this second date update. kJ went on through E. TJ.
Janet j R. Out of the morning.
Speaker 8 (06:25):
Hey, this is Marcy.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
I'm in Oklahoma City.
Speaker 8 (06:27):
When he first said what happened?
Speaker 1 (06:29):
I was like, Oh, yeah, he's right. You don't bring
your kid on a date. That's weird first date especially sure.
Speaker 8 (06:35):
And then she told the story and I was.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Like, oh, okay, well that's normal.
Speaker 8 (06:39):
That's a normal circumstance that doesn't happen all the time.
Once she told her story, I agreed with what Janet said.
That's a that's a special circumstance that happens. It wasn't
her fault.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
And for people that don't know the story, her babysitter
like basically called in. It's like, oh, something happened, I'll
meet you at the restaurant and pick up your kid.
And then the babysitter was late, and I thought maybe
the kid was there the whole time. The kid was
there for fifteen minutes, right, obviously there was a plan.
Speaker 8 (07:10):
The way he told the story, at.
Speaker 5 (07:12):
First it sounded like she brought her kid on the
date and no. Then she told her side of the story,
and then it made sense and I said, oh, well,
that was just something that happened. The babysitter still came
and picked up the kid. I don't the babysitter, like
they y'all said, was overwhelmed, not her. She figured out
she had a plan. I think he was a little harsh.
Speaker 8 (07:31):
I think he.
Speaker 5 (07:32):
Just decided that that's something that he didn't want, and
I think he just.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Used the wrong terminology for it.
Speaker 5 (07:37):
I think I think he just thought.
Speaker 9 (07:38):
I think you're right, But I you know, I also think,
you know, he.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Was like, oh, you'd bring your kid on a date.
Speaker 9 (07:44):
You know, but the kid doesn't probably know that mom's
on a date. I mean, you know what I'm saying
from that perspective, like, Hey, I'm going to go eat
with my friend, but the babysitters running late and she's
gonna come get you.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Okay.
Speaker 9 (07:56):
You know it's not like this is a possible love interest.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
This could be your new day to play that card here.
That what I'm saying. I mean that kid for mom, Yeah, okay,
all right, all right, she doesn't or he doesn't deserve
her someone that would. Still, she didn't cancel the date. Yeah,
in fact to her playing because she needs a dance
if her babysit her. Yeah, yeah, because she needs a
(08:21):
baby daddy. Okay, all right, thanks for calling, Mercy. Thanks
