Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is arrow
unplugged stream thinking. It's learning how to trust what is
in your present place of right now. To get there
requires some practice. Here's what I do every day one

(00:20):
sheet of paper, just ten minutes, write about whatever is
moving through your present place of right now, with absolutely
no judgment. Stream thinking sharpens your skills as a listener,
as a communicator and activator. It's learning how to trust
what is right now. This is stream thinking today. We're

(00:41):
reading from June eighth, twenty twenty four. My grandson Carlos,
he's graduating from high school today. I spent much of
last night wandering through some digital photographs to which my
parents didn't have of me. We were lucky if dad
had any type of photograph of you in the wallet. Now,
I guarantee I didn't make the cut because by the
time I hid high school, my older brothers and sisters

(01:03):
were having children of their own, and those grandkids, oh,
they were taking up a lot of space in my
dad's wallet, which is every bit the reason why I
felt it was so important last night to go through
my collection of digital pictures. They all featured Carlos, followed
by an invitation for him to one day sit down
with me and let me read to him what I

(01:24):
have placed inside my daily journals for the past eighteen years.
One of the things that is missing from our journey,
from our process, are growing forward, taking the words from
your journal, from a page, from a memory, and sharing
it with those that are coming after you. I have

(01:45):
nothing for my mom and dad. I have no writing
at all. I don't even have photographs of me with them.
It's gone. But today the stream thinking thought is how
can we get you to share your stories? Not just
the good ones, and sometimes the struggles are what inspires
the generations after us to become stronger and more bold, confident,

(02:07):
filled with courage, to be able to face the fire
and not run from it. I invite you a pin,
just ten minutes every day, jot down some notes with
one thought in mind. You're going to give it to
your grandchildren one day and they can pass it forward.
I'm Maril, and that's stream thinking.
