You just found the most entertaining Hawkeyepodcast in the world. To the Washington
walk Ons. Tonight, we talkabout some guys returning to the Black and
Gold, one high profile guy movingon to the next level. We discussed
earning our scholarships and what that feltlike being recognized in public by listeners of
the show. And we talked thenational championship. Sit back, relax,

(00:21):
let's have a day, let's go. Welcome into the Washington Walkons podcast.

(00:54):
Blessed hashtag blessed to be here withtwo good buddies, good pals, Grant
G Bone, G Money and myguy Kevin Ward. How are we doing
tonight? Man? Uh good?I'm doing a little bit less good now
that I just checked my phone andI forgot that the D one double a

(01:15):
national championship happened today. It isan absolute crime they didn't play that yesterday
or on Friday night when there's noother football. But shout out to the
South Dakota State jack Rabbits for winningtwenty three to three and captain off an
undefeated championship. I'm gonna guess Grantdid not forget that that was today.

(01:36):
I checked in a little bit.It wasn't very close though. It was.
Yeah, they they pretty much dogwalked them. Yeah, it was
not a super tight game. Itwas three at one point. They never
looked back. Last game the jackRabbits lost. It was a statement game
from seven to three. Hawks theyhave they've they've ran the table and gone

(01:57):
back to back Natties since that dogfight. In two touchdowns, two safety
is a field goal and a fieldgoal. Montana, too, not that
long ago, beat Washington at Washington, right, really that is true?
The Washington he was it a MichaelPennox Washington Huskies. I think it was.
I want to say twenty twenty one. Okay, that's the year we

(02:22):
would have been in Indiana. Stillyeah, no, okay, twenty twenty
two. Maybe, so just Igotta see, yeah, please find maybe
maybe Penix wasn't there, But Iknow that Montana did beat Washington very recently.
It's pretty impressive. We're gonna talkWashington night, talk a few things
tonight. Uh, there's a nationalchampionship going on tonight. For most of

(02:44):
you who are listening to this,it was twenty twenty one, but twenty
twenty one, so it's a prettyrecent. Yeah, still shout out to
Montana. It's it's uh, itis the ever so talked about final ending
place for the Benton squad Muscleshell County. We're coming for you. We've been

(03:05):
talking about buying a whole county whenwe all become before It's cool, before
Yellowstone came out, We're talking aboutbuying a ship ton of land out in
Montana. Just going and buying likea couple thousand acres in Montana. Just
buy an entire county. Make Drakethe mayor, create a Benton homestead.
I'm gonna make Drake the sheriff beforethe mayor. I'm not making Drake anything.

(03:29):
His decision making and logical thinking isshot completely shot dead. Well it
is. But you know, youthink about it, if if you don't
make him the sheriff, you're gonnahave to send the sheriff out after him
pretty regularly. So just make himthe sheriff. You just cut out the
middle man and say, hey,Drake, calm the fuck down, you

(03:50):
know. Yeah. Yeah, he'sbeen a little He's been pretty active the
last couple of days in the inthe chat as and on Instagram. Yeah,
and on Instagram. He enjoys hisInstagram stories I haven't been on social
media. It's anything. Uh nownow what now, it's just making a

(04:16):
face. It's just like it reallyis. You got to choose a lesser
to evils right with him in thisbrand, it's like, you know,
he's part of the DHD. He'spart of the Gary Drake and Gary Friday
and people love that. And Ieven have a hiatus, but we gotta
we'll be back. Well, itwas the end of the year, we

(04:36):
were getting through the holidays. We'reback in full swing. This this week
is gonna be the first full weekof the of the walk On content production
of twenty twenty four. And he'sgreat on those shows. And we got
it. We got a message fromsomebody that I'm gonna read on DHD on
Tuesday that is a guy who's justbegging for Drake to come back. Him

(04:58):
and his boys love Drake on theshow. They sort of identify with Drake's
mindset and his mentality will be psychotic, I guess, and they tuned in
for him and and they like senta really long, funny message that was
that was pretty hilarious. And thenthe other side is like he openly would

(05:20):
find enjoyment in burning ninety percent ofthe bridges that we have that are at
some point probably beneficial to the brandif we want him to be or if
we need them to be at somepoint, it's just like, what do

(05:42):
you do to be fair? Drakealso has a ton of connections that are
very beneficial as well. This istrue because we're just connected. He's like,
he's like literally Kittle has described himas a as his bodyguard. Uh,
you know, he because he hashung out with George and lived in
Arizona, lived in Nashville, knowsa lot of those NFL guys. Drake

(06:04):
is. We've talked about this before. Drake is just a guy who attracts
for some reason, somehow, hejust attracts chaos. Like It's like if
there was a movie crew following himaround, it would be worth it.
Whatever that production would cost would beworth it. Because Drake's life is interesting,
interesting all the time. I haven'tasked him, have you? Does

(06:29):
he does he listen to the mainshow? That is? I highly doubt
it, but I doubt it.I don't know, Fuck you Drake,
No, it's uh interesting stuff.I don't even how did we even get
going on that? Are we evenI'm not even sure on Drake. Yeah,

(06:49):
I don't know. I did.I was joking on Twitter saying I
was just going to break news onguys returning back to Iowa. I saw
that anyway, just sources be mygut feeling, and a lot of people
thought it was Drake Drake's return.Drake Drake is not returning to Iowa,
definitely not physically. But no,Gary, Uh, I think you might

(07:15):
just step in as the third guy. Who knows you're just officially the third
guy. You're no longer? WhenWhen when do we pull the intern tag?
Is it pulled yet? How longdo people normally intern? I'm a
year lest the weeks, yeah, less less than that. Probably, what
do we have an actual start dateon you? We can throw you like
a one year anniversary party just onhere, just three guys chopping it up,

(07:39):
a little party. Yeah, weget like, do you have a
sound effect on your board clover forlike confetti or something? Just probably the
chi ching Like, okay, thatworks, I can find it. I
don't know, it's it's somewhat soon. I think I have this one catch
the ball, you know, quiteFrank I was more worried about the thrower
than the catch. I felt prettygood about seeing you're everybody wanted to kill

(08:01):
Clover his first year when he wason campus. Now everybody loves him,
so he's over over five years done. Can you just cut that down to
everybody wanted to kill Clover? Justthat? Yeah, just you know,
everybody wanted to kill Clover his firstyear on campus. That's it. Just
and then that's a button that reallyyou guys should have. Oh yeah,
then when you get annoyed with meor I say something stupid that you just

(08:24):
hit the No, everybody wanted tokill Clover's first show at campus. Okay,
nobody loves him. A couple ofpeople said that last week. With
my voice being a little scratchy,a little under the weather, I didn't
even have to do the CAF voice. They were just hearing it because I
was deeper and scratchy. I waslike, I'll take it. I'm about

(08:46):
in nineteen eighty one on and wehad a pretty good team at pitt We
coached him down to second place inthe country. I remember a story,
Okay, Bill Belichick told me thisone seventeen eighty six. All right,
we came over in the Mayflower, right landed. Don't think you ever told

(09:09):
that story. Oh all right,it seems like Kaeff would have been there
though. It seems like a thing. You know, Kaff would have just
loved to have been back in thattime. He just he's just a man
of culture, like fifteen sixties. No, the no Mayflower, what you
said on the Mayflower? Yeah,I mean a few hundred years ago.

(09:31):
No, I mean back. Youknow, there's many people around here that
would just love to be in thatthe year I gave seventeen, you know,
the fucking small pox. I wouldhave loved to be a part of
it. Give me that. Poliogot a review for us. Oh yeah,
he's a podcast review. It's agood one. Unfortunately we didn't get

(09:52):
a bad one with it. We'vekind of sweet till Drake says more stuff
and then eventually people will Yeah, great perspective. Title of the title of
the review had season tickets since twothousand and nine. And remember watching these
guys play particularly clue interesting since hisname was called out constantly on long snaps,

(10:13):
I did enjoy that being recognized.Hey, hey, we actually scored
some touchdowns back then. You getcalled out on Pat's as well. Yeah,
all right, well, just puntingback then. True, I'm fairly
new to the podcast, as Iwas recommended by a fellow tailgate buddy late
in the season. These are definitelythe guys you want to crack a beer
and have some breakfast with on gameday. Keep doing what you're doing,

(10:37):
guys, and let's get the dubin India this weekend. That did not
happen. Oops, Hawks by amillie. Next Thanks Nate, Nate,
Doug, Next time, Nate donext time. Hey, speaking of beers,
what's the latest? Tell you what, man, people do not move
as fast as you would like themto. Welcome to the world. Let

(11:03):
me give my shortest synopsis on this. I think we were more successful in
our small trial launch than maybe anyoneexpected us to be, except for Drake.
Drake expects everything we do to justget like millions of numbers. And

(11:24):
I think that the end of theyear is a busy time and a time
where they also kind of wind downas far as their production stuff goes,
and then they kind of pick itback up. And they're a legitimate company.
They've got brewing schedules and other projectsthat are probably planned out somewhat,
you know, not to mention theyjust have like their normal beers that they're

(11:46):
always brewing, like that they haveto produce to be a company. So
the word is that early February, like February hits, so hopefully a month
from right now. I hope it'smore than just I hope it's more than
just in like one batch. Sothis time I hope we got the ideally

(12:07):
a few more racks than that thanlast time. Ideally you would step it
up, you would take it,you would move up a couple levels.
This time we would make double maybeI don't know, triple, we get
to every location, Maybe we doa party in Des Moines this time.
I'm sure we'd be able to.You know, we've waited enough long enough
and now at this point where wecould probably do the same thing again at

(12:28):
Backpocket in Coralville. But I don'tknow. I've I've voiced how much we've
want to expand this, and maybethey're listening to this. We we as
the podcast brand, are willing torun that beer into the ground until it
fails, trying to get it,trying to get it to the top.
That is how far we are willingto go with this. So as much

(12:50):
as as much room as Backpocket allowsus to allows us to have with this
thing. We're going to take itand run. But if you're a hops
by a Million fan, you're lookingfor a few more cans of that.
It's been continually posted in the discord, like I saved one for New Year's
Eve, saved one for the Bowlgame. I got a couple in my

(13:13):
fridge. Yet I have thirteen sittingon top of my fridge, including the
original four, the first four ever, who is ever going to be opened?
No, I've got one that's nevergoing to be opened. I think
what I want to do with thefirst four, especially if the beer like
gets a lot bigger, is Iwant all of us to sign them,
and then I'll keep one and I'llauction off, you know, like,

(13:39):
well this is the first can ofHopped by a Million or the second or
whatever. But if you're one ofthose fans, if you're a beer fan,
early February, hopefully a month fromnow, we have movement on that.
I'm going to start tonight fourteen minutesand with a couple of questions.
We get a lot of questions thatcome in occasionally through the Discord question channel

(14:01):
thread. We don't't answer a lot, and we never I always forget to
put them on the document because thenpeople other people answer the questions from their
perspective if it's not a direct questionat us, and then it gets lost.
So that's on me, bad podcasthost. It's probably on Gary too.
Seems like a producer thing. AndI pulled three that are like they've

(14:24):
been on here for a while, but I think they are just sort of
good football Kevin and Tyler questions thatonly someone from the inside could could answer.
So here we go. I wouldlove to get Drake's opinion on this,
but he's not here. First, what check? Call? M sure,
I'll call. He's not gonna answer. No, I'm on Gary to

(14:46):
He's more likely to answer Gary thanyou. But then but then we can't
hear him. They can't hear me. He can't hear you guys. Yeah,
ah, it'll just me, meand you keV. The first one's
real easy. How did it feelwhen you received your scholarship? Hmm,
go ahead, you got your scholarships. You have to answer first. Yeah,

(15:11):
So maybe I'll look like a dickanswering this question, but it is
what it is. Twenty one yearold Tyler was kind of a dick.
Twenty nine year old Tyler's kind ofa dick. Specialists aren't, generally,
at least at the time, scholarshipat a high school, certainly not long

(15:33):
snappers. Like you're lucky if you'rea long snapper and you get a scholarship
out of high school kickers and punters. More so, obviously, we scholarshipped
Tory to come here right away.We scholarshipped Keith, not Keith. We
scholarshipped just a few few guys.Drew got a scholarship. Steven's got a

(15:54):
scholarship from high school. The newLike, we've had a couple that have
done very well, but we've hada bunch of scholarship specialists that have flopped.
And that's the reason, right,we got burned. And I'm not
going to name names, but yougo back through the last ten to fifteen
years and you can pretty easily findthe one set. I would say about
half them flopped it. And that'show it works at every college that's not

(16:17):
an Iowa thing, that's just aspecialist thing. And so a lot of
times, even nowadays, you're walkingon So you know, we were all
told stuff, right, you comein, you earn the spot, you
get a scholarship. Yeah. Yeah, I'm not going to go through it
all. Long story short. Goinginto the twenty fifteen season, I had

(16:37):
already started for a whole year, and granted the fourteen season was not an
all star year for me long snappingwise, but it was good enough.
It was, and I had securedthe job again going into the twenty fifteen
season. There was two scholarships leftavailable heading into camp fall camp of twenty

(16:59):
fifteen, and I thought one ofthem was mine and I felt at that
point i'd earned it. I didnot get one of those scholarships. They
went to two deserving guys, ColeCroston and Riley McCarron, both deserve scholarships,
both a year older than me,both had two years left in the
program, and so in my mindI sort of took the mindset of I

(17:25):
am a scholarship long snapper, andthat was like a personal, sort of
like inner story thing that was moreof a like know you're worth kind of
thing. I officially got the scholarshipabout a year later, and it didn't
come in some cool and I didn'texpect it to. It's the way KF
does things. There was no likein front of the team or like you

(17:47):
know, you get called out andthey act like you're in trouble and then
you end up getting put on scholarshipor they like do some video where they
bring around of applause. Yeah. No, no, not even around of
applause, standing ovation for the longsnapper. No. Was walking into the
complex for a second group lift inthe summer, just before the summer break,

(18:10):
and uh, the the midsummer break, so we were about to go
to fourth of July, and uh, I get a text from KB and
it's got me and Brandon Snyder inthe text, and it says you guys
are on Uh it didn't even sayyou guys are on scholarship. It said
you guys need to go over toCarver and sign your scholarship papers. That's

(18:33):
how I got my scholarship. Noteven a face to face with any coach,
not even with KB, let alonekfk KB texted us and said you
and you guys need to go overto Carver and sign your scholarship papers and
that and that was very fitting forsort of how I had viewed it at
that point. Most of the guyson the team thought I was on scholarship.

(18:55):
They would like they were. Theywere like shocked when people would find
out beforehand before it happened. Itfelt very good. I texted my mom,
texted my dad, said, hey, you guys don't have to pay
for college anymore. That was very, very fun and a good feeling.
The surprise or like excitement of ithad been a little drawn out at that

(19:21):
point, and and it was alittle bit of a letdown the way I
got it. So yeah, itwas it was a like anticlimactic, if
if there was a word for it. How did you feel? Though,
I think that was the question, how did you? Yeah? Uh no,
I felt good. Like I said, I felt good. I think
for me again, you know,I sat in that office and KF said,

(19:45):
hey, we're not giving you thescholarship is going to go to Cole
and and Riley. You more thandeserve to be on one. And I
believed him, Like it wasn't coachspeak. He was being serious and sincere.
Sometimes there's just not enough, andthere just wasn't enough. There never
is, right, and I believedhim, and I felt in that moment

(20:08):
that's when I earned it. SoI kind of felt some of the emotions
plus some other emotions in that momenta year before. Financially it was cool,
like I didn't come from a tonof money, so like you know
that next I don't know when, what day of the month it was,
but when that first scholarship check hitlike it was, it was dope.

(20:30):
It was dope. We wouldn't havehad we would not have known what to
do with ourselves if we got Ediemoney me and it felt good. Uh
yeah, it was something I alwaysexpected. It was a status or a
thing that I always expected to reach. And again that sounds that sounds like

(20:55):
a dick thing. But Casey wasa long snapper. He was on if
you're the starting long snapper, startingpunter, starting kicker, you eventually get
put on scholarship if you do yourjob. I had no reason to think
I wasn't going to do my job, and I got very lucky and had
no reason to think I wasn't goingto be the starter really ever in my
career because Casey left and I wasliterally the only guy in the roster,
so I was handed the job alittle bit, and then all I had

(21:18):
to do was not lose it,and I basically was going to get the
scholarship, and so that's what wedid. Felt good. Nonetheless, it
felt it felt great to take thatburden off of my myself and my parents
financially later down the road, likeit would manifest itself and take away a
lot of that that that that thosepayments still might be paying if I didn't

(21:45):
catch a couple of years of scholarshipmoney, you keV. Yeah, so
a lot of similar feelings. Man. So I actually got put on scholarship
twice. I don't know if we'veprobably told the story on the podcasts side,
and I don't know if you've toldit. Yeah, but beck,

(22:06):
fuck double scholarship. Back in myday before transfer portal, and like you
had ten new guys showing up inJanuary after the season, there would,
uh, there would be an excessamount of scholarships, like guys who graduated
in December, and so like theremight be five scholarships being unused for that

(22:27):
spring semester before the freshmen show up. And so what coaches would often do
was like, hey, use themor lose them. Let's reward some of
these walk ons and just put themon scholarship for a semester and just for
the just for the spring, justone semester, right, And so I
was I was sitting in our livingroom and uh, I got a call

(22:52):
from KF and he is, uh, he's asking me like, hey,
how's it going, how's your breakgoing. This is like during break before
before spring semester classes started, sowe weren't back in the back in the
workouts. Yeah, it was likeI was one of the call see how
you're doing. How he breaks going. I'm like, oh, I'm good,
I'm back right now. He's like, I thought I saw you over
here. I was like, yeah, you know, I'm older now.

(23:15):
I just kind of like get backand getting get settled in before we get
started. He's like, yeah,I noticed that. It's like seems like
the older guys they uh, theydon't take as much of the break as
they did when they're when they're younger. Like yeah, well, anyways,
like uh and then he kind ofexplains that the fact that you have XX
scholarships to spend in the spring,It's like, so, uh, you

(23:36):
know, I just want to makesure you know that this is this is
only for this semester, but uh, we we want to reward you think
you're doing a lot of good things. We're working hard and setting a good
examples. So, uh, we'regonna put you on scholarship for the semester
and then we'll see what the numbersare at the end of going into this
fall. But uh uh you knowyou'll have the opportunity to get it again.
But uh, you know, keepup the good work. Proud of

(24:00):
you, and YadA, YadA YadA. So I got put on scholarship for
one semester. I'm like, oh, and that was that was like very
surprising probably, Oh yeah, No, I wasn't expecting it whatsoever. I
mean literally sitting in the living roomjust get a call from from the head
man. But it was it feltcool. You know. It's like,
obviously the money is sick, notasking your parents to pay expensive out of

(24:25):
state tuition is awesome, and alsogetting the scholarship check on top of it.
But no, also kind of likeaffirmed that I made a good choice.
And when walking on here, right, it's like all the goals that
you set for yourself, you know, come to fruition because you know,
turning down a full full ride offor somewhere else to walk on at a

(24:48):
big ten university is a lot ofa lot of risk. Yeah, exactly,
so it was it just reaffirmed thatI felt like I made the right
choice for me. Was that onyour mind through that spring? Like I
got to earn this fucker back,Like I got it for these few months
and I need to prove during thespring, Like did you ever think about

(25:10):
it that way? Or were youjust I mean, you were always a
guy who was giving one hundred percent, so it's not like you were giving
extra there was no more to give. But did it ever crossed your mind?
Like you know what I'm saying now, it's a good question. I
don't think it really did. IfI remember correctly, were you put back
on in the summer? Then Iwas now going back to that spring is

(25:32):
like you know, we're going intoour senior year. It's like now it's
like it's our it's our building,it's our right. Our group is the
leaders of the team. So youknow, you you want to set a
good example because you want to puta winning football team out there and go,
I have a hell of a seniorseason. Yeah I got put on
a second time. Final time.It was during camp that year. Uh

(25:57):
we just finished nine on sex anduh kaf pulls me aside, and he's
like it was during practice, duringpractice? Yeah, wow, Yeah,
so I actually got to talk tohim face to face. Wow, you
actually got to talk to the man. Yeah. And he's like, for
he just pulled me aside. Okay, keV, can I talk you real
quick. He's like, hey,I just want to let you know that

(26:18):
you're gonna be on scholarship again thisthis fall, so we're really proud of
you and keep up the good work. It was a nice little moment with
me in the head man. Thatrest the rest of that practice was good,
no matter what. Oh for sure. Yeah. Yeah. I remember
going just like sprinting to the nextOh. Man, no, I think
we just got done with blocks andwe were going to nine on seven.
I was like, oh yeah,I'm fired up now. Yeah. I

(26:41):
remember, like because everyone else waskind of over by the drill, and
I remember running to kind of catchup and Wallace has just got the shipping
and green and the Yeah. Yeah, you know, I wish I wish
they did not for me. Idon't give a shit, but I do

(27:02):
think that those those walk on scholarshipvideos are the way they announce somebody is
cool. I went, you know, and most of the time they're doing
it for like the social media clip. I get it, but it does
make it special for those certain guyswho aren't who really aren't expecting it.
And yeah, I mean I Ican see it both ways, you know.

(27:26):
I like the way that keV didwith me at practice. I like
that too, And I know helikes to like have it be their own
little moment just for them. Theycan react however they want to. Except
for me, it's not yeah, yeah, fuck you guys. Honestly,
I didn't even care at the atthe time, I'm like, I'm getting

(27:47):
paid, baby, right, Imean, because that is like a special
one. That's like the the numberone goal for every walk on is like
get put on scosh. Yeah.I think you see, I think you
you create this. It's like, yeah, it's just like he wants that
to be special for them and forthem to like, you know, experience
it and revel it in their ownway. Yeah. I think it.

(28:11):
Uh. It sort of highlights thethe culture of walk ons inside the IOWA
program. I feel like you canreally very understated, just like nothing over
the top. You show up,you go to work, and yeah,
you go about your business. Andthe best part about IOWA And again,
Kevin and I were never in anotherprogram, but what you what I would

(28:33):
hear from other guys, other specialistsI knew, other other places you hear
other athletes who go on and talkon podcasts or whatever. Is the way
that walk ons versus scholarship athletes werekind of treated and what they were had
access to and stuff like that,Like there was a difference at other schools.
Not crazy, Yeah, you're likesecond class citizens at other schools.

(28:56):
Yeah, especially as time has goneon, it's gotten better, but like
especially back in the eighties and notlike you, you know, like you
did not first showed up, Wecouldn't go to training table. Yeah,
that was the biggest difference is whenwe first showed up, it literally felt
like that was when a bunch ofour teammates found out that we were walking
Yeah, is that is that trainingtable you'd head over after practice? You
go into the the athlete specific dininghall that was a floor below Hillcrest Dining

(29:21):
Center, and the scholarship athletes theybreeze right by the cashier standing there at
the table, and the walk onsget out there their hawkeyed one card and
their eye and they swipe it fora four to fifty. The lowly walk
on still have to pay. Areyou serious? This was before the Shabaz
effect in twenty to be honest, man, it hurt. It hurt a

(29:41):
little bit. Oh yeah. Andthe funny thing is like, like you
know, like some of the otherscholarship dudes in our classes, like,
hey, what are you doing?Like I gotta pay? It's like what
what do you we gotta pay? He's like, no, I gotta pay.
You don't got to pay. Yeah, it's that like tough moment where
you just got to stand tall andbe like, dude, I'm not on
scholarship, like and honestly, it'skind of tough from like just uh psychological

(30:03):
standpoint is like yes, especially aslike an eighteen year old kid who you
obviously you didn't get a scholarship comingin so you're walking on. It's like
I don't know if you felt likethis, but maybe you didn't, because
specialists is kind of different situations likeat eighteen not getting a scholarship and you're
like I don't even know if Ibelong here. To be honest with you

(30:26):
and to have like hey, yeah, you got to pay for those meals,
Like maybe I don't fucking I don'tknow. I'll be honest, I'll
be honest. That feeling that youfelt a little bit, that was a
specialist all the time, that wasjust that's just how you feel as a
kicker, punter, long snapper. That's just a life. I guess that's
fairy, uh, but no,I told I felt it. It's embarrassing,

(30:51):
man like because you go to becausebecause of how even it was within
the building, within the facility, everybody gets the same shorts, the same
socks, the same pads, thesame helmets. They give the walk ons
access to everything. There's unwritten sortof levels of like hey, seniors get
you know, the step in linefirst and whatever. But but then you

(31:12):
go to a place where it blatantlyjust gets pointed out. There's no other
word. Yeah, talking to someoh you know what you know it was?
It was I remember Dean one timelooked at me and he goes,
your fucking walk on, you pussy. He was joking, it was Dean
soapnitas, but I was I laughed, and it was his way of like

(31:33):
making me feel good because he knewthat I knew that he was joking and
so it was like, you know, his way of being endearing as a
as a fellow young guy. Uhbut yeah, man, there were some
moments like it was that was shittyfood anyway. Yeah, no, I
think I think towards like the middleof the year, we stopped going to
train. Yeah, it was evenhave to go because they can't make you

(31:55):
pay to go to the training table, right right, So do they like
a bounce than in front of thelike the scholarship line. You could have
walked right by. Hey, butyou're not getting it here, all right.
That's the thing is, I don'tknow why I didn't because the person
the person was just a staff memberof like Hillcrest Dining Hall. They didn't
know, they didn't know who wasa walk on who wasn't. And the

(32:17):
non walk ons, the scholarship guys. It's not like they were swiping a
card that would come up on thecomputer that says scholarship. They were just
walking in. So I should havejust we should have just walked in.
How do they know, Like theydon't need a list, They had no
idea. Me and Kevin are menof integrity. That's where at least we
were My apologies were at one pointin our life. So yeah, there

(32:38):
you go. That's our scholarship. Here's another question. I got this to
the walk on Twitter account. Grantmight have saw this one. Got this
about three weeks ago. I don'tknow if you'll take questions from the general
public. We do you guys areIt's not like you guys are walk Ons
or something. Uh. Ask more, ask more questions. Ask all the
questions. We love the questions.Ask non Iowa and non football related questions.

(33:02):
Just ask us like questions about theuniverse. But I was wondering what
you guys think of being recognized andor approached by fans in public. I
definitely recognized the CEO of Striker himselfgetting signed into the UI Hospitals the other
morning, but it was still fairlyearly in the morning, and I assumed
he would appreciate being allowed to geton with his work. Day time is
money when you're a hot shot CEOafter all, in quotations. When I

(33:25):
told my coworker later that I hadrecognized him, though, he told me
it would have made Kevin's day ifI had said something in recognition to him,
So I figure I'd go right tothe horse's mouth and ask you guys
how you feel about it. Well, I appreciate your thoughtfulness, but no,
I'm always happy to chat with somebodywho recognizes me. Kevin would have
spat on you. No, Ialways find it funny, and I always

(33:51):
enjoy those small little interactions or evenit's just like just a little subtle nod
in a hawk's by a million, like cheers your day up a little bit.
You know. Actually, this doesremind me is I gotta I forgot
to shout out these people, butI got to. Me and Alissa went
out for dinner and my birthday andwe sat right next down to Skip and

(34:14):
Mary Mary Joe, who turned outto be big Hawky fans and were fans
of the podcast. So they pickedup our drink tab for for that night.
So that was really cool of them. Yeah, the but I always

(34:35):
enjoyed the small interactions. It's it'sit's fun. I think that makes us
fun. You and I were noware a little bit more used to it
because even though it wasn't for usdirectly, when we would go and eat
with like Josie or you know, somebody else and we'd all be in a
group and we're wearing the same clothes, like people knew, oh, those

(34:55):
guys are football players, right somehowit's on how two managers got in with
the football players. So they saidabout me and Kevin, and so people
would like see us and stare.Yeah. I mean they're pretty easy to
spot. Even if I walk aroundIowa City these days, like the athletes,
they stick out like a sore throne. So me and you were used

(35:16):
to it now that we get recognizedfor something else, being the podcast,
but the funny reaction is probably foryou and not for you and me is
like Alyssa and Lauren. Oh,it's hilarious. It's great because every time
someone's because every time someone recognizes me, Lauren just looks at me and goes
like rolls her eyes like, oh, this is gonna make his head bigger.

(35:38):
God damn it a little bit alittle bit. But it's fun,
man. The fans make it fun. Did I ever tell you that the
first date I took Alyssa on inIowa City is the waitress recognize me?
I think you did say the veryfirst date I take her in Iowa City
and she's like, who are you? We go out for breakfast. I

(36:00):
think it was the two days lateror so, and somebody's walking out of
where we had dandelion I'm pretty sure, And as they're walking out the door,
they go hawks by me and I'mlike, thanks man. She's like,
who the fuck are you? Yeah, but no, it's fun.
It's fun. So yeah, I'mactually paying all these guys to say this
too. Impression I paid everyone inThose are all paid actors. Next level

(36:22):
move. They're from my improv class. Grant, What's I know? You've
been recognized several times? Is thereis there one that sticks out in the
last year of you being associated withus a little bit? Yeah, I
mean I remember, like it waskind of funny because Alyssa actually asked me
when we did the first football andshe's like, you ever been recognized?

(36:43):
I was Actually I was like, okay, Actually, the first time I've
ever been recognized was on my waywalking here at the game. Was actually
so it was it was like twentyminutes ago walking here. But I don't
know, I mean, I getway more than ever I ever anticipated.
Like I remember one time out outin Iowa City and like someone I was
ubering home and someone at like oneforty five in the morning, DM the

(37:05):
Washingtop walk on the count was likeI just saw Grant out and I was
see, like that just made myday, Like I just walked by the
dude. Uh and there. I'vebeen out at the the bars before and
people have been like, hey man, like big fan or whatever. I'm
like, what, hey man,I got a cors Man and I'm like,
oh shoot, I forgot I dothat. Of what I was like,
I was like the way I justordered, like what, I don't
know. If if I were you, I'd be wearing the Library Gary T

(37:30):
shirt every time I went oh yeah, yeah. I do feel bad though,
every time I someone does recognize me, I always I always feel so
that I feel like I butchered itevery time, Like, wow, I
sound like such an idiot. You'venever butchered it more than the time that
I made a high school girl herelocally in Walkey. Uh. Probably she'll
probably never approach or say anything toa stranger again about anything. Uh yeah

(37:52):
with the at the car window orit was, it was yeah, honorable
mention. I think I know thiswas obviously a walk on event. Is
when we at the Toolbox game.I'm sorry I forget the girls' names,
but they had the mount Washmore tshirts with us in KF. That's awesome.
Yeah, that's end of all time. Gosh, I forget their names

(38:15):
too, and now, oh god, they're gonna kill us because they listened
all the time. Yeah, whenyou find colleged age girl again. Every
time I talk about this, Imake it sound weird, but when there's
eighteen to twenty four year old womenthat listen to our podcasts, it's sort
of jarring a little bit almost. That happened at the Big Ten Championship,

(38:38):
So I was like one of theother students. I was like, oh
really, and this girl she wastelling her boy and she was like,
Hey, this is this guy doesthat podcast. I'm always listening to that
I told you about. It's kindfunny, but I seriously, if I
like never feel bad about for mepersonally, at least they never feel bad
about Oh yeah, definitely don't hesitateto do it. To answer the question,

(39:00):
like, there's gonna be very limitedand as life goes on, more
and more limited opportunities for me tofeel like I'm important like that, and
that's actually like that I'm known publicly, So please if you see my bald
ass out somewhere say something. Ithink my favorite one is me and my
wife are just on a walk herein Walkee. We're literally across the street

(39:20):
in the park that's by the school, and a big truck drives by and
I'm wearing the Gold Hawks by amillion T shirt that I've turned into a
cutoff. It was the middle ofsummer, it was like ninety degrees up
and somebody drives by and he goes, oh god, what did he say?
It was something that we had beensaying. Yes, he drives by

(39:42):
and out of the car window hegoes fully dented. Ohh. And I
was like, oh my god.And Lauren goes, what was that?
And I'm like, listen to thepodcast legend I will say for me still,
probably the coolest one was almost ayear ago now now at the Air
Force lacrosse game. Oh yes, with a shout out doctor Painter. I

(40:05):
haven't mentioned his, but yes,he had his friend who works he's like
the Air Force lacrosse surgeon. Heoperated. He did surgery on my buddy's
hand a few weeks before. AndI was just like at the games saying
hi, and then all of asudden, someone had a Hawks By a
million flag. Yeah. Yeah,I was like, oh, shoot,
we reached the Air Force Academy. That's pretty cool. Yeah. So doctor

(40:25):
Painter is a doctor I used towork with. He since moved to Alaska.
Yeah, he spent a lot oftime in Colorado spring because he was
in the Air Force. He's theAir Force Reserve and so that's he That's
how he knew his buddy there. He's like, this will be awesome.
Man. I'm like, oh,dude, I will do whatever it takes.
So I remember my buddy told me. He was like, you know,

(40:46):
they're doing their warm up for thegame, and uh, the surgeon
comes over and he's like, hey'syour buddy Grant gonna be here. He's
like, oh yeah, I would, Yeah, he is gonna be here.
He's like, wait, why whydo you want to know Ifrant's gonna
be here? Wait? Like itjust like thrust over his head. But
yeah, shout out doctor Painter andanyone who says high unreal to transition here
with a transition that makes no senseat all. Would you like to see

(41:07):
Manders leveling a chick in a wrestlingring? I would, personally, I
knew you would. I wouldn't y. Yeah, let me just play this
real quick, alright? Is that? Can he come on soon? Can

(41:32):
we can? We? Absolutely,we've had him on before. I don't
think we had him on with youthough, Yeah, I've never talked to
him before. I want to.I want to get into the head of
the one called me. You don'twant to get into that. I want
to do three hours just speaking insidethat brain. That's well. I mean,
if you go to one of hisshows, you'll be able to.
I mean, he cuts his foreheadopen almost every night. It's for real.

(41:55):
But he's a man that's committed tothe craft, and and that's gonna
be my segue. There's a coupleothers that are committed to the craft and
they are proving so by returning tothe University of Iowa. We talked about
three already. Sebastian Castro is back. Boys and Girls huge. The Iowa

(42:15):
defense is going to be scary onceagain, probably already was going to be
regardless of who came back. Butwe got some bad dudes coming back.
Unfortunately, and this is the onethat you probably suspected the most anticipated.
Would have been insane. If otherwise, Yeah, it would have been a
crazy decision for him to probably comeback. Uh, Cooper Degene will not

(42:39):
return to the Black and Gold, and that hurts, stings, cuts deep,
But that's okay, still a Hawkforever, future Bronco soon to be.
Probably you saw the Rashard Mendenhall tweetand he's like, you know,
I gotta go help out the boys. The White team needs me, team

(43:00):
needs me. They're lacking. Crazything is it would be him and Riley
starting it. Correct him and Rileyand they'd get cooked probably. But I
mean, that's a long day goingup against uh. I mean, you're
going against me, Tyreek, DavonteJamar and Justin Jefferson. I'm putting my

(43:22):
money on I'm putting my money onthe Black offense there. Sorry Coop and
Riley, but who knows. Sometimes, you know, I think the Black
team wins. That he has talkedabout he is perceived as looked at as

(43:45):
and I assume the reason part ofthe reason he made a decision to officially
UH declare for the draft is he'sprobably a first round pick. He is,
yet he's yeah, I can onlyimagine he'll test very well at the
combine and not only physically but inthe in the meeting room as well.

(44:09):
Oh, he'd be fully healthy bythen. He should be by the combine,
he should be healthy. But whereare they going with this? Uh?
He's also like one of those guysthat, like you can like NFL
gms, they do a bunch ofcrazy shit on defense sometimes, and he's
one of those guys where you canput in several different positions at defense,

(44:31):
especially you get some of those thirddown sub packages. Like he's a guy
that you can do a lot ofnifty shit with. It's gonna make a
lot of money. It's going tobe really really fun to watch him play
in the league, Like really fun. He is the epitome of He quite

(44:51):
possibly is living to the fullest extentevery little Iowa kids dream that likes what
ball. Well, how about it, man, I mean, we've had
a few homegrown Hawkeyes that have gonein the first round in the last decade.
You're right, I think Brandon Sheriff, Tristan Wurf's Lenderbaum. I know
Campbell, right, Jack Campbell wasa SEC first round. I was I

(45:16):
was more questioning. I fee Ithink he was born. Jack camp was
the first rounder. Yeah, theI mean, it does not get more
small town than O B G IN that's a joke. What are what
are the cities in odible? Oh? Here we go, I haven't been

(45:37):
try. Oh god, I don'tknow the A. No, it's oh
A B C I g Odible somethingBattle Creek, Ida Grove. I don't
know the A. Sorry everyone inthe A town. He grew up a

(45:57):
small town as a gaye for Arthur. Arthur gets to be a Hawkey,
gets a scholarship to go play forthe Iowa Hawkeys, balls out, becomes
the absolute superhero of the team, known across the nation as one of the
best at the position. Not onlygets the ball out on defense and you

(46:22):
know, get to do a lotof tackling and pick sixes and all this,
but he becomes an elite return man. And now we'll leave early for
the draft and probably do all ofthat in the NFL too, bring the
Broncos to a super Bowl. Sohe's projected there. Don't laugh sixteen.

(46:45):
I'm not laughing. The funny thingwould be is that that would be like
the third cornerback that the Broncos havetaken from uh yeah, like the last
four years Jay Riley and no matterwho the head coaches who the owner is
Iowa. I think the Broncos havedrafted some from Iowa, like six years
in a row. It's incredible.Let's see, so sane would be Josie

(47:06):
twenty nineteen Noah, Yes, yeah, twenty twenty. I'll pull the list.
Oj twenty twenty probably. Yeah.I think so Ross would have been
twenty twenty two, so there mighthave been one year in there. No,
this is no twenty twenty three. This is his rookie year, right,

(47:29):
I don't know, Yeah, itis okay, twenty nineteen is Noah
twenty twenty twenty twenty was Ojimoudier?Yeah, twenty twenty one was no.
One might ball just never mind.I think they signed who was on the
practice squad shit tight end buyer.Yeah, I think he was on their

(47:54):
practice squad for a year in twentytwenty one. It hurts that he leaves.
It's not a shock. It wouldhave been so cool to see him
come back. He would have beeninsane, but you gotta go get paid.
It was yeah, and the defensewill be fine without him? Am

(48:21):
I the only one too that fully? I fully convinced myself he was coming
back. I thought if he waitedtill now, I was like, he's
got to be come. I thoughtthere was a chance because I thought he
was just if he was going todeclare, it was gonna be like,
Okay, I'm out for the season, like I'm just dumbing the draft now.
To me, it was like basicallythe same like with Linderbaum. Is
like I could see him wanting tocome back, but that decision is staring

(48:43):
you in the face. It's like, it's so obvious what the right thing
to do for you and your familyis. It's like, yeah, it's
quite literally, if you're a firstrounder, you quite literally just make the
decision. And if you're smart withthe signing bonus that you're going to get,
you now are probably don't have todo anything for the rest of your
life and just have to play football. So probably do that. You know.

(49:10):
I'm pretty positive. I don't wantto speak for anyone, especially Coop.
Maybe he maybe he thinks we're abunch of jerk offs. I don't
know, but I'm pretty positive weare. So that's fair well that in
his regiment would be correct. I'mpretty sure we can. We can get
him for an hour on the show, So that's gonna be a big episode.

(49:32):
Maybe we do, Maybe we justdo Coop for five hundred. We're
only like fifteen episodes away. It'sa four part series with Coop. It's
a fifteen part series. The nextfifteen episodes to five hundred are all Coop.
You know what? Fucking hundred?Jeezus, Yeah, I know,
right, the consistency is unmatched.Well, we we did talk to a

(49:55):
certain ex HAKEI about being five hundred, and I need to contact him.
I need to contact him. Peoplewill enjoy that Coop episode thoroughly. I
imagine it will do what we callaround here numbies. I think it will
do a fair amount of numbies breakingbreaking. Linebacker Nick Jackson has decided to

(50:19):
return to Iowa for one more year. Oh my god for Scott document.
Wow, we got five out ofsix, dude. Seven is gonna be
pretty damn good again, Booze. So we lose Logan Lee and Joe Evans
very unfortunate. But Ya comes back. Yep, dog um Herkit comes back.

(50:45):
Dog Graves Graves comes back. He'sgot his breakout years. Next year
Graves Graves is going to become anabsolute machine next year by stock Now absolutely,
who else do we get back. What's the kid's name, Brian,
Deontay Craig's back is Deontay Craig's backdog dog what? Pat McFee show,

(51:13):
what herk it? What? Hya black? What? And then you've
got Jay Higgins. We've got thesame linebacking core essentially, what's the what's
the safety the back end gonna looklike? keV? What's that gonna We've
got castro Let's say, and Ido believe Shulty is coming back? Is

(51:37):
he going to come back? Areyou breaking that right now? Are we
breaking news? Can we DM himand say hey, when you decide,
can we tweet it out for you? Oh? Yeah, yeah, Yeah,
that's what I'm trying. I'm tryingto get for the letting the walk
on Outlet have that one. Yeah, let us let us break If any
current IOWA players listen to this podcast, let us break news, even if

(51:59):
you're a freshman. Yeah, letus if you listen to the podcast and
your potential walk on and on signingday when you sign your your walk you
know you I don't know what yousigned because people just do. You don't
sign anything, but you make itlook good for the picture. Contact me.
I'll send you a free Hawks bya million flag to put on the
table that you fake sign your nilon or you're and I'll do that,

(52:21):
I mean technically recruits it. Andwhat am I my fucking jokes? People
are getting paid. People are gettingpaid in Bugatti's you guys see kill Williams
apartment. Yeah, he's he's ina penthouse, And it's unbelievable. It
would be very if we could wejust started announcing, like if we started
just getting all the walk on newsfor the programs, like hey, who

(52:45):
who is Iowa offered walk on spottoo? What walk ons are committing to
to walk on? When walk onsget scholarships? That's to be the walk
On news outlet to us. Weshould break the news though it's like second
year full backs returning. In casethere was any doubt, here's this and
making your snappers returning. Yeah, make some really sick graphics like he's back,

(53:08):
He's I got I got more damagefree. We have him coming back
for his third season as no butkeV. If If let's assume Shulty returns,
what does our back end look like? We got Jerremari at corner,
Turner at the other who Turner?Who's Turner who is to do we have

(53:30):
a turner. Kevin's like, isthis like you're trying to build a motivation
thing. Are you talking about TJHall? TJ Hall? Am I thinking
of yeah? Thinking of so TJis our other guy. Then we've got
Castro and Shulty with X playing thecash or does cashtro play cash? Well,

(53:52):
cashow plays cash and X plays inX plays safety unless they're in a
heavier look where where we basically gothree actual linebackers and then we essentially we
essentially return our entire two. It'sthe same defense minus Coop, minus Logan

(54:15):
le It's gonna be pretty dirty.Yeah, yeah, that's it. Wow,
that's ridiculous. Joe Evans hurts. It hurts to not have Joe.
Joe's gonna come on this podcast. He's gonna do numbies as well. So
I don't know if you've ever heardmore like positive testimony of Joe Evans,
like just being a great guy,the like of any other player. I

(54:36):
think I've heard the most good testimonyabout you Evans. I can't wait to
talk to him. I cannot wait. Let's fall. Let's just wrap this
thing up with a little national championshiptalk about a week ago there was a
couple of games and uh Michigan playedAlabama came away with one quite an entertaining

(54:57):
game. It was the first gameof the day. Washington ended up beating
Texas, another one that came downto the wire. Has to be the
most entertaining semi final day in thehistory of the semifinal the playoff, right,
oh, for sure between two gameslike aggregately, yeah, like both
both games averaging entertainment levels. Yes, I still think is what is Georgia

(55:19):
Oklahoma? Still Rose Bowl? Stillthe best playoff game of all time probably
that singular game. Yes, butthe other game was whoa whoa whoa whoa
whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa Texason USC get the fuck out of here.
No, that was that wasn't inthe college we're talking playoff ericav Oh
okay, yeah, that was somethinglike that game is unmatched? Yeah,

(55:40):
I mean out, I mean Grantwasn't born, Yeah I didn't. I
was watched playing with trucks. Wereyou four for that two thousand and five?
You were you born two thousand andtwo? Two? Right? Yeah,
fucking that's it. The intern tagis still on. You are a
permanent intern. So we got Michigan, We have Michigan, and we have

(56:07):
Washington. Is this gonna be aIs this gonna be a bar burner too?
Is this gonna be a great footballgame? I think it is.
I think it is. Is thereis there a scenario where Michigan actually like
handles Washington or is Washington too fastto get boat raced and they're always going
to be in it? I meanthere is a situation. I don't think
it happened like say, these teamsplayed ten times. I think Michigan wins

(56:30):
by multiple scores, maybe twice. That okay. I think Michigan will want
to slow this game down. ButI think Washington's got just weapons that they
will be able to score points. And they have Grant and his and his
ship. This line is this signis moving. Are you seeing this fight?

(56:52):
Tell me? Tell me what itis. I'm seeing five and a
half. Oh my god, it'sup to five and a half. Yeah.
It's a lot of a lot oflarge bets being placed on So what
does that mean? That that meansthat the money's on, The money is
coming in on Michigan, which wouldmake sense. I mean, there's a
lot of Michigan, people with alot of money that have wanted this for
a long ass time, so thatthe play is. The play is to

(57:15):
to hop aboard the Grant and Washingtonship and ride that thing into the sunset.
We're gonna We're gonna be five.That's five, h I mean do
I need? Plus? Five?Gets me nowhere? Unfortunately? Much?
How much are you willing this WashingtonHusky team to victory Grant? How much

(57:35):
and how much of their game relieson me? Yes? I mean it's
gonna feel like a lot. Idon't think the players would agree with that,
but it's produch from my couch.Every move will be monitored, like,
okay, that worked. We're sittingon We're sitting on this end of
the couch. First down, We'regood, Okay, go shoot pen Scott
sacked. We gotta move, gottago. That's hilarious. It will What

(58:01):
is Washington's his? Their there runningbacks? Little banged up, isn't he?
I think got hurt that because thatwas what stopped the game for Texas
if I do remember correctly, hishis injury gave them about forty seconds.
This is also the Ted Bundy versusTed Kazinski bull interesting. Leo put that

(58:22):
in the discord. Uh, evidentlythis is a this is the the championship
between the Alma maters of Ted Bundyand the unibomber Ted Kazinski. I thought,
okay, I thought I thought TedBundy was a Stanford guy. Was
he not? I say said onthat graphic that he went to Washington and
that the unibomber went to Michigan. That could be totally wrong, by the

(58:45):
ways, just some some guy, some some guy named Leo, Leo more
research than I have done on thetopic. So so choose your choose,
your pick your poison. There.I guess. Uh. I think I
think Michigan. I think Michigan finishesthe run here unfortunately against five points.
Man, No, I just doagree. I think I think Michigan wins

(59:08):
this game more often than that. That's what I'm saying. I don't know
if they cover, but I thinkthey win, and I know, and
that's what Grant needs. Grant needsa Michigan loss. A Michigan a Washington
cover does nothing. No, itdoesn't. Well, I mean if they
win, they also cover. Well, that's true. Yeah, I will

(59:28):
allow that. It's just like Idon't really have an I know a lot
of people eat Michigan. I don'thave any problem with them. It's just
I think that the whole I thinkthis is the year they do it,
and then maybe they'll shut up.Probably not, but I think this.
I was listening to a different podcastand they said, there's like seventy upper
classmen on Michigan's team right now.Michigan's losing a lot of towns. Yeah.

(59:51):
And also Harbaugh is allegedly going tocoach the Bears and the Patriots next
year, so he's coaching with NFLteam. It's crazy, how many to
the rumors. So let's give ourpicks. Let's give our picks. Let's
all let's all take a pick onspread, and we'll all take a pick
on the on the over under. What is the total? Fifty six and

(01:00:13):
a half. It's a great line, so many points. I'm gonna take
Washington to cover. But whatever itis, five five and a half,
I'll take Washington cover that. Asof this moment on Betfred, it is
plus five. Shout out to theBetfred Iowa app. Download it today,

(01:00:58):
twenty eight, it's gonna be likealready to twenty six. Mm. Seems
seems reasonable. Wow, what bothersyou about that? What's bothering you?
Is it? Michigan's gonna try toslow this game down? Yeah? I
feel like it's too many. Ithink I think I'm gonna go under.
I think championship unders are hot toobetween this, I'm gonna go under.

(01:01:21):
I'm going under. I'm going Washingtonand under. Okay, Kevin, I'm
right there with you. I thinkMichigan tries to slow this game down.
I'm also taking Washington. I thinkthat they have like Odonsay, Yeah,
I think he's a special guy anda solid I think that Washington is gonna
be able to make some plays here, and they will. I think they'll

(01:01:45):
keep it close. They might theymay win, they might win. I
think it's gonna be a really goodfootball game, and I'm gonna take the
points here, so coover, wewill be tied at the end of college
football. I'm pined with that.Yeah, guys, you don't. Oh
now we have an issue because ifwe all pick Washington, they have no

(01:02:06):
chance of winning. Oh that's nothow it works. And I need them
to win. Well you can't.Yeah, you can't better, you can't
take one of you guys. Oneof you guys needs to change pack.
I'm just saying that, Like, what do you guys say, super change
your pick. One of you guysneeds to pick. Change your pack.
All right, I'll take Michigan minusokay, thank you, all right,
and I will be taking the WashingtonHuskies. Leave the points at home.
They're winning this thing. I don'tcare what anyone says, all right,

(01:02:29):
this whole tea seventy money line.Oh they were, they were under they
were ten point underdogs against Oregon oneout right anyway, underdogs against Texas one
outright anyway. I don't care ifthey're one hundred point underdogs in this game.
They have shown up each time andproven everyone wrong. I like I
said, I have no problem withMichigan, but I do have a problem
with I have potentially twenty two toone on the line. Guys, I

(01:02:53):
am, I have a whole piratechip of guys now with me. We're
going to fight together. It's goingto take all of us. And I'm
thinking Washington, Wow, inspiring mea week to prepare with no counter stallions?
Yeah, well he was there? What did the Michigan men do?
Was he really? Yeah? There'sa picture of him there. Do you

(01:03:13):

guy on stick in the stands orwas he on the sideline? No,
he's in the stands. No,he's in the stance. He's a yeah,
he's like, he's everywhere. Canyou finish this? U? Can
