Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the WBZ book Club. This is Jordan Rich.
There are many fans of British writer Ian Rankin out there.
I came a little late to the party to read
one of his many Inspector Reebis books. This one's called
A Question of Blood. Written back in the early two thousands,
Inspector John Reebis is flawed but fascinating, as many critics suggest,
and this book, despite being over twenty years old, lines

(00:21):
up with the world as we know it today. All
the action takes place in Scotland, where a former Special
Operations soldier has apparently invaded a private school, murdering two
students and injuring another one. Detective Inspector Reebis has called
to investigate the killings, and he soon finds, with the
help of his partner, Detective Sergeant Chavn Clark, that all
is not what it seems. In the meantime, John Reebis,

(00:41):
a hard drinking, chain smoking police rebel, is a suspect
in the murder of a low level criminal whose house
was set ablaze. This is a well crafted novel with
plot points that kept me guessing every step of the way.
I recommend you check out any of the books by
Ian Rankin featuring Inspector Reebis And that's the book Club. WBZ,
