This is the WBZ Book Club. I'm Jordan Rich. Cold
case crimes continue to fascinate readers, and here's a local
story that's called Murder in Rockport, Massachusetts, Terror in a
Small Town by Robert Fitzgibbon and Wayne Soyney. The book
takes us back in time to the early nineteen thirties
when Arthur Oker, an immigrant from Finland, a well liked,
mild mannered taylor, was brutally killed during the daytime in

was greatly elevated after another murder, that of a Swedish
immigrant and fellow church goer, Augusta Johnson, on Halloween night
in her home. The book offers an in depth look
at the investigation that followed, rewards that were posted, and

wearing badges provided by a breakfast cereal while they all
