Welcome to the WZ book Club. This is Jordan Rich.
Why were so many serial killers from a particular part
of the country, the Pacific Northwest. A new book by
Carolyn Fraser attempts to offer part of the answer. The
book is called Murder, Land, Crime and Bloodlust in the
Time of serial Killers. The author grew up in the
Pacific Northwest, home to psychopath serial killers Ted Bundy and

Gary Ridgeway, the Green River Killer, to name just a few.
The book centers on the impact of the most poisonous lead, copper,
and arsenic smelters in the world, located in that part
of the country, proven to negatively effect and impact the
human brain. These substances could have played a part in
the development and evolution of some of the nation's worst
serial killers. The author is by no means excusing the
