Welcome to the WBZ book Club. I'm Jordan Rich. During
my lifetime having read so many books, as I know,
you have kind of fun to develop a relationship with
a new writer, in this case, someone I've never read before.
Mystery writer Stuart Woods passed away a few years ago,
but has left us with a terrific series of novels
focusing on a lead character named Stone Barrington, a New

York police officer with the knowledge of the law cut
from a different cloth. I just finished the first in
the series, called New York Dead, and it's a thrilling
mystery about a female news anchor who jumps or is
pushed out of a high rise to her alleged death.
And this is actually witnessed by Stone Barrington as he
staggers home after a night of drinking. The body of
the woman that lands in a construction site pile of
(00:42):
dirt disappears, and the hunt is on for a killer,
or perhaps the celebrated news anchor who has somehow staged
her own death. Lots of Fun the first of many
great novels by Stuart Woods, New York Dead, published in
