This is the WZ book Club. I'm Jordan Rich. It's
the winner of the Nordic Council Literature Prize and it's
now available for the first time in English. The book
is Remember Us to Life by Joanna Ruben Dranger. Kirkus
review says, a beautifully introspective account of a Jewish author
learning about her roots and the dark side of Swedish history.
The author investigates her Jewish family's history in an attempt

a graphic novel that tells the story of Johanna's families
immigration from Poland and Russia to Sweden and ultimately Israel,
where they found community and a new life. The story
also takes into account the horrific treatment of the Jewish
