Welcome to the WBZ Book Club. This is Jordan Rich
and you've probably heard a lot about this book already.
It's called Sonny Boy, a memoir by actor al Pacino.
To be upfront, I haven't started it yet, but I
cannot wait. Baccino is an interesting actor who spent much
of his early life growing up in the tenements of
New York, watching many of his contemporaries turn to crime
and get hooked on drugs. Pacino was much more interested

in the stage, learning the craft by diving deep into Shakespeare.
In time, he made it to the movies and became
a legend, from The Godfather one and two, of course,
to films like Dog Day Afternoon and Serproco, Scarface, Angels
in America, Insomnia, Any Given Sunday, The Devil's Advocate, Donnie
Brasco Course's memorable role as the blind Colonel Incent of

a Woman. Stories about all of these professional pursuits, as
well as an honest look at his personal life, involving
challenging relationships and long lasting friendships with fellow actors and directors.
