Welcome to the WZ book Club. This is Jordan Rich.
Whenever I come across a novel that introduces a character
someone who will return in several books, I like to
start at the beginning. So in the case of Greg
Hurwitz's The Kill Clause, I did just that. The battered
hero in question is Tim Rackley, a deputy U S. Marshal.
Tim is married to a fellow police officer named Andrea,
and the book opens with their lives completely shattered by

the brutal murder of their precious daughter. A suspect is
quickly captured, but due to an imperfect justice system, Rackley
and his wife watch helplessly as the killer goes free.
Torn between feelings of utter grief and the desire for revenge,
Rackley eventually is invited to join a group called the Commission,
basically a collection of vigilantes, all of whom have lost
someone to violent crime. Soon, our hero Tim finds himself

to uphold justice while trying to save his career, his marriage,
