George Amedore Jr. serves as the second-generation CEO of Amedore Group Inc, a family homebuilding business. He has attended several business, sales, and management training programs including Dale Carnegie and the Bob Schultz Builders University program and has been a licensed NYS Real Estate Broker since 1993. George embraces the values of hard work, decency and integrity, principles that are the core of the family business. He is an active board member of Toys for Hospitalized Children and formerly served on the boards of the Capital Region Builders & Remodelers Association (formally Schenectady Homebuilders Association) and Mekeel Christian Academy (formally Schenectady Christian School). A supporter of our armed services, George spearheaded the construction of Veterans Memorial in the City of Schenectady. He is an active supporter of the City Mission of Schenectady, the Rescue Mission of Albany, and several agencies serving orphans in Mexico and South Africa. George’s passion for public service led him to pursue a seat in the State Assembly, where he served from 2007-2012. He went on to serve in the State Senate from 2014-2020. While in the State Legislature, George was instrumental in helping seniors, small businesses, veterans, those with developmental disabilities and those suffering with addiction.
