We had a fabulous time and you know, I enjoyed
because this is all new for me, being treated like
a talent. That's very This is still very new for
every time y'all to see me at BT I've paid
my way to get there, Okay, paid for either flight,
a hotel or something last night, except for last year.
Last year I got one flight because Tom couldn't go.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
So I got to sit in your seat. That's it.

Speaker 5 (02:23):
So every other time I have had to fight for
my life to get in there. Yes, this time it
felt different to actually be invited. And I had somebody
tell me my travel plans and where I was going,
and you know, I picked the flight, you know, it
was just wonderful. And then the hotel with the moment
I rapped to the hotel, I walked in, I saw

(02:45):
Gary with the T walked right into him.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
I was like, wow. So it was great being being
invited and feeling.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Like a talent.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yes, many, Zach, what about you, your BT spars man TSL.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
First of all, well, I'll say it.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
I'll say all of my my accolades for I felt
like a proud big brother.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
But go ahead, Jack, how was it?

Speaker 4 (03:06):
We had a great time. Man, it felt really good,
like Kiki said. And the best thing was, y'all. I
wasn't that no little motel lean and nothing. I was
had a really nice hotel where you one of them
hotels where it smelled good when you walk in. Okay,
one with its own lobby and bar. At the lobby

(03:28):
dipped down into a nice seating area. They had an
outside party. We came back from the BT room and
it was a party going on outside right in the hotel. Yeah,
it's beautiful. We was outside people was I mean, it
was a good time. I got to I'm sorry everybody.
I didn't get to hang with everybody that I wanted
to bet shot one of my best friends, Tiam. I

(03:49):
ain't get a chance to get up with him. Just
just didn't have the time. But you know, I love you, brother.
You know I'm always gonna go out there. A few
of my friends were in town from like you know,
they're from out of town, but they were working. Like
thence you know what I'm saying, he writes on the
Miss Pat Show or whatever. I was supposed to link
with him. Didn't get a chance. You know, we were
we were working a lot. You were everywhere though, But

(04:11):
I still got a chance to get out a little bit.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Touched the city. See what La was talking about and
this ful Zach.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
I want to let you know, nice ass room. It
is nice ass rum Zach. Still Zach's still in college mode.
And I love it because I've been I've been here,
I've been here, that got some money.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
He just don't want to hit the mini bar. He
don't want to hit the mini bar.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
Zach.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
I go in there.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
He like were like man, were about to get ready
to go out. And I was like, all right, man,
let's pregame. Zach got alcohol and a big jugger juice
in there, a big dump jugger.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Let me tell you the first thing I did. I
went in there.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
This is a nice hotel. I called. Before I even
I called the front desk. I said, it's this alcohol
that's on the bar. Is it free? I said, I
said it?

Speaker 1 (05:06):
I said, is he free? She said no.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
The menu is right there and until you how much
it is. And I looked at the men. I said,
oh okay. I said, okay, the alcohol not free. I
expect to pay for that. I said, what about the
water inside?

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Is that free?

Speaker 3 (05:21):
No?

Speaker 4 (05:21):
None of this is free. Don't worry about it. Okay,
all right, I'm talking to you. And that's what I did.
Walk my happy ass down to CBS. Got me some
juice that's a mixer, got me a bottle, shall pay,
got me a vodka. You know what I'm saying, something
of my own because I know I can spend my
sixty dollars and how far that is gone? Yes, because

(05:45):
that's two drinks at the bar downstairs, and what they
was charging up there. I was like, no, ton saw
my juice. He was like, bro, you got you brought
your own.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
I'm like, yeah, Bro. I wasn't mad at either, because
we have to pay the pregames.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
I don't even touch them anybody because I feel like
touch something.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
They may think I don't even touch you. I don't
put food and refrigerator.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Nothing refrigerator. I don't really touch it unless I may
have some snoop dogg medicine. Once that happens that I
just go ahead and I'm like, man, I did order
some food.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
I ordered two things, y'all out of that too of
food service? Off two things. I know how much you
cost five dollars.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
I had fifty dollars bacon in the eggs me.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Too for.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
I had an eighty five dollars meat and cheese tray
and fries.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
And cheese.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
You order meat and you got too much money, bro,
I like.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Cut, like.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
You too rich for me?

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Gave me.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
I like that you too rich for me?

Speaker 1 (07:18):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Man, that's what happened when you end up dating, I
ain't gonna. I'm from the South Side of Chicago, but
I've dated. Unfortunately, I updated more than I can't admit to.
And the women that I've dated had put me on
the stuff I wouldn't put me on the ginger shots.
I don't know about. Like, it's a lot of things
I don't know. Trust, I trust them.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
I love it for you because I know if you know,
one day I'm gonna order some secretion couci. Right, this
is not you, this isn't lunchable.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
I'll pay out.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
I did order really a big ass lunch.

Speaker 7 (07:59):
Yeah, this is over here, miss rich cracker pottage sausage.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
One day I'm gonna have somecie too.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
But just foolish this U Yeah, I got allowed to
say about beads here.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Let's keep going a whole lot.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
First of all, I'll start with the fact that, uh,
I just I love being a part of it. And
it's still even though I've been doing it for years. Uh,
it still feels good and it's still so real to
be even like in that media fraternity, it is you
in there with people that you literally listen to or
cool and like it's still in my head still hard

(08:53):
for me to even realize, like me and Angie Martinez
is cool.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
That's wild to me that I could be in Angie, Like, hey,
what up? You know what I mean? And you know
you got Angela.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Yee and Baby and Greg Street and keV and you
know what I mean, it's just your names goed d D, Gary,
it's just all of these different names and that Ferrari
like all of these you know, it's just it's it's
it's sane, you know, just to think about it. But
I think Guy's popfam. I ain't gon even lie to you, man.

(09:23):
Our little podcast that grew up got out to the
first it was just me. Then it was me and
Keyky and just to watch. Keky came to help me,
help me as assist me as a camera person and
media person really and now it's invited as a talent.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
I watched Zach to come in.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Zach was like Zach was weekends from Nashville to watch
him go growing from nights for weekends to nights the
mornings now and they get invited to Then people were
coming up and was talking like Yo, what's up with y'all?
And I was watching, I'm watching how people reacting to y'all,
Like I'm like, oh, they really rock with my with
my people. And it's the thing about the podcast is

(10:03):
I guess the part of the podcast part it made
me feel really good is that it was getting credit
from the people in our fraternity. Right, so you're getting
like with as sitting it's a hall of fame personality.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
You know that's a syndicated person.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
I come up and say, hey, man, y'all, y'all podcasts lit,
our bosses, you know, Doc dip, y'all podcast nice, and
they saying stuff about it, and I know that that
means something like people were starting like yo, I heard
you got a day, or they were like where Keith
Key and zach at or what. It was just it
was such a surreal moment, man, just to see how

(10:37):
much you know, our little podcast that we did.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
What did we started twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
We started five years ago, five years ago, five years
ago has turned into this.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
It's crazy. I can't believe it's been five years though.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
I can't believe either.

Speaker 5 (10:51):
I can't believe they get as we ain't never really
fell out. Let me knock on wood.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
It's like, yeah, I ain't.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
Never you know what I'm saying, Yeah, I ain't never been.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
There years and doing something somebody and y'all cool.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
That's crazy, that's weird. Y'all done. Y'all was there when
I got married. We did our last year, y'all, our
last I'm married.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
You've been made just like y'all.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
That is it's just crazy how quick five years really went.
And it feels like we just getting started. But it's
been five years.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
We need to.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Throw a party, you know.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Yeah, that's what. That's what it's over.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Nobody as soon as you celebrate it over, Okay, Okay, sorry, okay,
we're gonna we're gonna enjoy it. But I just say, like,
for me, it was just like damn like and that,
and you know, I've been doing this for I've had people,
you know, when I first stopped doing you know, the
tone of shag thing when they when the radio say
this side say hi, y'all gonna do y'all things separated?

Speaker 1 (11:52):
You know, that was a scary moment for me.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
And then you know, coming over to coming over here
and then podcast and just seeing like hearing people really
like yo, like from y'all even said.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
Y'all it was a moment y'all had who y'all have with?

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Oh, LaToya Lucky. Shout out to LaToya Lucky.

Speaker 5 (12:09):
And we interviewed her and when the interview rapped, she
was like she got up and she was like, y'all
too from Chicago, Right, y'all do that other show y'all do?
Like the podcasting and now y'all doing the like she
had she like put it together her man, like y'all
did the podcast, and now y'all doing.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
The shame room.

Speaker 5 (12:24):
And she was like, I'm proud of y'all. That's really dope.
This is LaToya Lucky. You know what I'm saying, who
I don't even The problem with me is I don't
think nobody can hear what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
But when I be a here just talking crazy saying oh,
I'd be.

Speaker 5 (12:36):
Like I think and I'm just talking to y'all too,
and the Poe fan, but it's actual people on the
other end of this thing that here the crazy things
we say and they don't forget. So that was like
those type of moments was like insane to me, like
people being like, I know y'all are, oh yeah, well,
like you know, or coming over and they were excited
to talk to us, like yeah, that stuff is still

(12:58):
very surreal to feel.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Like that, especially Toyat Lucky was a big win in
Kirk Franklin said he was like, I've seen y'all before,
I've seen y'all show. He's seen the clips, I said
Kirk Franklin, frank God, watch.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
The thing of it is because I know angel and
I think was probably like, I mean, we got a
lot bag we got. I mean pretty much everybody on
on the radio side was giving us love, but I was,
and I'm cool with Angela, but just for her, I
know she's normally quiet. She's like, hey, Tom, we'll chop
it up a little bit. We have a conversation. We
got good repport. But she made it her point to

(13:39):
be like, yo, y'all podcast lit. Yeah, And that meant
a lot to me. That's the Hall of Fame personality
that made that. That meant a lot. She like stopped
in the middle of kind of you know, I ain't
gonna lie that thing lit. So I appreciate that for sure.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
For sure.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
And that's five years.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
That's five years of work, consistency, investment on all of
our ends. This is completely funded by us, this is
produced by us. This is that's five years of work.
And so I mean, it's it's it's it's shocking to
see it, you know, the results, But that don't happen
when you're not consistent. It don't happen when you don't
put on the work and the effort. So for people

(14:12):
thinking we just got this overnight type of thing. That's
not the case.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
And if you go back and look, go back and
look at our first episode, cheeky cheeks, bigger, I look dusty,
So I look at Toe up, dusty toe stealing like
he had money.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
But that was that was like, go look at the
first episode.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
I say, look at us five years ago.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah it is.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
But again though I think and again and I and
I say this and it should be real.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Shout out to you pod fan.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
First of all, it's done this to be possible without
y'all really tapping in the way, y'all doing all of
the people that.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Showed us love. Uh, we had podfam out there.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
But the thing of it is is that this this
ain't really all us, this God on this one, because
there's plenty of people that put together shows of three people.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
Uh, that it's no guarantee it's gonna work.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
And then the magic that happens with us is meant
to me means that this was supposed to happen for sure,
for sure. But let's go ahead, man, now that we
are dumb reminiscing about it, let's talk about the actual awards.

Speaker 4 (15:23):
Hold on, before we get in there. We got some
other things that we need to now use that a
few things that the pot fam need to know because
you know, we travel, we go places. Okay, y'all, so
oh ship.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Let me tell y'all he gotta written down. No, I
ain't got to riden out the first day I got.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
So we getting ready we leave after the first day
of the radio rooms. It's a rigorous schedule, like you
literally work from ten to five non stop, all right,
so we so yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
You gotta tell us to us, please tell the story
when you're.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
So Usually, like Tom said, we go to bt W
was I'm his camera woman, so that I go and
make him look great and we knock it out and
kill it. This time because he had turned me up
that I got everybody there's a talent.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
So I was on the other side of the room.
I'm working like he's working right.

Speaker 5 (16:18):
So tall don't have no camera man now with him, right,
ain't nobody else want to buy in and send themselves?

Speaker 3 (16:25):
Nobody else working here.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
I would have been like, he keep going with it,
I'm going and I would have but y'all a hustle,
y'all getting on anyway, So he had no camera man,
So you know, we over here in the shade room,
knocking down all these interviews. But the moment we had
Zach would be like, I gotta go to the bathroom.
Me I hold it all day. So he would leave.
When he would leave to go to the bathroom, I said,
let me go over here and check on Tall.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
Baby.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
I walked over there and checked on Toll. I ain't
never seen Tall sweating. Toll was sweating. His camera was crooked.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Why you.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
The moment I walked up, I couldn't even I couldn't
even say like, hey, you know, he was.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Like this is crazy.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
The press record and then he had a talk and
then I got he was losing it, y'all. Lord, it
was so oh, it was so funny.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
God, birthday, Sure, I cried, I c I saw me
saying that look I sweat through my hat. He showed
me his hat.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
He sweating like a big girl. I felt one in
my heart. I said, I gotta go get my face.
I got a little play. I got it. It was
so funny. Oh my god. So that was out. You know,
it started the first day. And then when we.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Left out here.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
Then when then when we leave, so we leave, you know,
everybody is so hungry. Everybody ready to go. Tone is
rushing to everybody, come on, we gotta eat. Come on,
we gotta eat.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
So we have to go.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
We gotta go drop our equipment off and then we're
gonna come back down and go get something to eat.
So we drop our stuff off. Everybody get ready to
go eat. We get ready to get in the uber. Right,
So it was four of us, right, four of us,
Four of us getting in in the Uber. You know,
they always put me in the back because I'm little,

(18:24):
and that's how she go. So they pulled the kick.
He pulled the seatback from me. Kick, He pulled the
seatback from me to get in. So I get in
and I'm in, Okay, then get in gip you here
her dough Tone is actually sitting in the front seat with.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
The uber drive. I don't know what the hell he
was talking about. What I said, I said, come on,
let's go eat. Yeah, that come on.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Let's go eat. She took that and let's go. She
put that bug in drive.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Kiki's still outside getting in with one foot, I'll pull
it off.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
The lady hit the brake so hard.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
I oh my god, you're almost killed.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
I tried to stop the cow with my hand. Zack
took forever to get back there. So she's thinking, I
got to be in the car back and now this
lady almost drugged me in front of the hotel.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
Believe it.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
I was laughing so hard. Yeah, they thought it was
so fun. I was scared, an we can't lose that.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
Well, didn't carry it out, just like when I almost
died going up that hill that him may dine.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
They was trying to walk me up in there. He
didn't care. He was like, he that think is funny.
Told didn't care.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
The lady that the driver is terrified because she's scared.
I'm a sewer, so she's just the whole tank.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
You okay?

Speaker 5 (19:47):
And I'm like, but your miss shot almost just sad.
I don't know if I'm okay. So that was crazy.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
So then you would think, you know, so I guess
he shook up.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
You know, he shook up. She shook up from the riot.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
So we get on the right. We finally get to
the restaurant. It's a lot of traffic, y'all. It's traffic.
L A has a ton of traffic. We get out.
We say, man, let's just go. We at the restaurant
now tone before we get there. You know what I'm saying,
Being at tone is the betteran And he goes to
l a all the time, he pointing at everything, telling
us about everything like a tour guy.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
Yeah you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
Yeah, that's right there. Yeah, that's you see that. That's
the mind, y'all. That's my spot right there. You see
that right there, that's the rooftop. I'll be here right there.
You see that spot right there, that's where I usually go. Yeah,
when I need a red bull, I go.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
To that store. You see that right there. I do that.
I've got I've got to show, showing us everything. I
love it though. I go down there to Kiff, just
walk down there and get me a.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Fig you know too, Rich.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
He's showing us.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
He's in full full tour guy, showing us everything.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
You ain't nowhere. He's telling us everything you like?

Speaker 4 (21:00):
All right, okay, So we finally get there, and I thought,
you know, when we got to the restaurant, I thought
I thought it was gonna be like a regular restaurant
where you go through the dough. But no, this this
thing had steps. You know what I'm saying, This this
restaurant you go up, and then you gotta go up
the steps in the front doors at the top of
these steps. So we going up the steps. Tone ain't

(21:23):
seeing them up front, you know. Ki Key's in the
middle and I'm holding down the rear and were walking
up the steps. Now they were kind of steek, okay,
And I looked at ki Key the first I was
worried about Kiki for the first round of steps because
they were steeve, and I said, let me see. I
hope ki make you know what I'm saying. I know

(21:45):
she almost got ran over. I know she hungry. We
ain't ate nothing all day. She had a little discombobulated.
But then we get to the second round of steps. Y'all,
it couldn't have been no more than seven steps. You
think she's gonna knock that out? When I tell you
them last four steps kick Kicky add.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Up.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
I had on a long skirt.

Speaker 5 (22:08):
My long hit some Jordan's I stepped on the front
of my skirt.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
She said, all I hear what he saying. All I
hear and she stumbles and I'm thinking, okay. It was like, oh,
Kicky just stumbled a little bit. She'll be all right.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
But no, she kept going.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
She was like, didn't get a dollar, had the hand
on the floor. When I tell you, I couldn't stop laughing.
PIFAs Kiki fell up them stairs like Joe Biden.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
She fell.

Speaker 4 (22:43):
She fell up them stairs like you know Joe Biden
was falling up the stairs like that. She fell just
like that the video or Trump.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
He just fell up some stairs. I tell you, like,
this was me. That was yeah, that was now. It
wasn't a lot of stairs, so I wasn't out.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
Of the north.

Speaker 5 (22:58):
I won tag he want the fat people problem it
was I had. If you go look at my outfit
from the day, I had a very long skirt on
and I stepped on the front of it and almost
took myself out.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
But I thought we had made it all. I didn't
even see. I didn't see none of that. I was
already turned the corner.

Speaker 5 (23:12):
When I tell y'all, he don't care you could be
out with tone and get kidnapped, shot.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
He gonna go on about whatever he gonna care.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
I was so hungry, bro, I was trying to get
in there and sit down because that again you said it,
that was first day.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
That first day, I was hungry.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
I was tired. I was frustrated. I sweated like I
was running track.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
I couldn't if people coming over and looking at me
like you okay, you by yourself? Who the producer?

Speaker 5 (23:41):
And that's all Tony, that's all a person like Tony,
Like somebody'd be like, oh my god, he gonna he
ain't gonna take it up.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
Not all he had to do was he record. I'd
have been everywhere by myself and it's just fine.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
But tall I need, I didn't know. I want. I
am talent.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
I need to be be seated, iven be thinking about
my next question, not if I got the goddamn camera focused.
I don't need to be thinking about getting drops. I
don't need to be thinking about lighting. I don't want
to think about if we in framed. I want to
talk and have a great conversation with this, with this
entertainer right next to me, to produce great content.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
That is what and what was frustrated me.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
I frustrated at this point, I like, I don't know
what to do.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
I didn't have a game plan. I just was frustrated.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
I'm looking at everybody else, all the other talent, Cooling, Chiller,
like they got producers, they get water.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
They like it.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Just it bothered my soul and bothered my soul. But
shout out to Kiki Kik. Kiki saw how frustrated I
was the first day. It came with a game plan
and talked me down. Look, tone tomorrow, this is how
we're gonna do it, do this, this, this and.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
This, and then I was cool. The second day. I
was our super cool.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
He was cooking the second day.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
Because I was you know, I hadn't been to BT.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
I took a year off unfortunately, and I just so
I came in kind of like still with the mindset
of how it used to be.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
Right when I was with you.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Yes, yeah, when you had somebody with you. So don't
forget to do this. Okay, cool?

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Somebody man, Trey called me. I think Trey Man is
helling me. I Trey was calling me. I was in
the middle of having conversation. It was a lot, man,
it was a lot. Shout out to Trey and Brie
specific yead down in the studio too, appreciate y'all. Oh
my gosh, Okay, what else do we got to talk about?

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Talk about the actual.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Show, about the BET Awards, the show so super dope. Yeah,
the show.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
I have not got a chance because I was on
the airplane, got a chance to see all of it.
I was watching on the airplane and then I fell asleep.
But it looks amazing. I'm gonna watch it over. And
I was watching BET Awards a thousand times on BT.
But I mean, I ain't never stopped on.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
I pray it always, Like the BT Awards is so
important to our culture. Yes, it's so important. Like I
just it's just something about it's special. It's just it's
just special. I don't know how to explain it. But
if you are a part of hip hop or you know,
just our industry, it is such an important thing. And
I feel like I just we just need to always
value that.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
I'm about to do. I'm about to do it, Joe Biden,
I'm gonna say it. You're not black boy if you
don't go to the BT Wars. No, no, no, there's
no to me in my opinion. And haven't done it
for a while, and then you know, you really appreciate
something you don't do it, you know, even though it
was a year off, you get back there and you

(26:42):
just it's so hard to explain, dude, just the feeling
the great energy in the room that's just being around
your contemporaries and the artists are coming in. They ready
to talk, they ready to they want to they want
to promote, they want to have these great interactions with you.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
It's just from their war.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
So it's black folks getting dressed up, looking nice and
it just man like, I just think that is the
super Bowl of Black culture. And I think if you
are in this business, you are doing yourself an extreme
disservice by trying to pick and choose. This is the
one you say on I'm here, I'm coming here, and
the other ones you figure it out. You figure it

(27:21):
out for people that's on tour and all of that.
But it's just it's important to me.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
Man. Man. It was one of these.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
This year's awards was one of the most beautiful awards
I've seen, hosted by Kevin Hart.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
First of all, BT.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
Had a budget this year and no no dollar was
spared from Kevin Hart to the Jamie Fox tribute. Just
think about the people they had singing to Jamie Fox tribute, Babyface,
come on man. Teddy Riley came out playing the come
on Stevie, wonder you talking about real legends, and I
just love the range, like we celebrated black culture in

(27:55):
such a way. I'm sitting here watching glow Rilla perform
on the same stage Babyface did. I'm watched Lucky Day
and Snoop and who else, Mariah Carey, Tianna Taylors. The
it was just beautiful.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
It's important.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
It's just it's so important, doll and I just think
it's amazing.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
It's the best, it's the best.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
One O six in Park and then b T honors
things that mattered in our culture, in Black culture one
on six Park and don't get honored nowhere else but
at an award. And they deserve it, you know what
I'm saying, Like it deserves it. I'm not saying, they
definitely deserve it. The legendary show us that raised us,
you know. So to see these hosts, even the old hosts,

(28:40):
get their flowers, you know what I'm saying, Like seeing
ters Ja, he's still doing his thing, he was hosting
the pre show and then Free coming out getting her flowers.
You know what I'm saying, Like, you can't you can't
beat that.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
We were like we grew up on the on them
people and and it's a it's a it's a shame
that some times we can forget because sometimes black folks
could beil what's new now and next?

Speaker 1 (29:05):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (29:06):
But this is where you know, we don't have to
worry about what happened to Babyface at that other show,
remember we had. We don't have to worry about it
because everybody on that carpet knows the importance of babyface't
know who you were.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Yes, I wanted to move past him.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
That never happened to be so that that would never
happen to the BET Awards because people are in our culture.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
I had, we see baby Face, We're like, oh snap, that's.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
Babyface, you know what I mean, Like Stevie Wonder And
it's like the way the room shifted when when Sierra
came in the building, when Tamar came in the building,
Does that.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Happen everywhere everywhere? And no, they might.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
They might try to Sierra, that's Russell Wilson's wife, but
we know that is Russell Wilson's wife. But damn it,
that's Sierra too. That's that's Sierra. That's Tamar Braxte. He
comes from a legendary family that you know, you got
Leeks doing stuff.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
You got warrior.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Its just it is black coaching and and it's just
for me again like the every time I'm there, man,
And even when I talk about it, people ask me,
like about about the Beta, was like, man, Tom, you
know how is that?

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Like, Man, it's a lot of work. Like it ain't
no joke. It's a lot of work.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
But it is to me, the most important thing that
I do throughout the year.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
It's no bigger event that I do at all, period.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
And just say just from every aspect, like the I
think it's I don't want to I can't.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
I don't want to mess up her name, the young Lady,
the Black one of the black actors.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
She's a black actress in the Old Guard. She went
to school with Jpaul. I didn't even know that. So
it's just like we just it just was so many
cool last moments.

Speaker 5 (30:43):
It's and my favorite part from this year is it
was the theme of black people understanding the important I
feel like it clicked for all levels of celebrity that
this is our show and this is where we need
to be. Kendrick made effort to be their babyface, Mariyah.
These are icons and people with that. You know, for
a while, it was like we ain't gone they you know,

(31:05):
somebody else can accept the award. Sison them pulled up.
They on tour right now, they pulled up to be
a part of that night. And like seeing that and
seeing it was somebody in their speech that kept referencing
like this is important. I think it was Kevin Hart.
Maybe Jamie Fox. Oh yeah, Jamie Fox is like the
Oscar cool. But the BET Award is what is what matters.
And I think that's the theme that we need to

(31:26):
keep it on moving forward. Like you know, you if
you can go to the Oscars, then your ass need
to be at the BT Awards. You can go to
the Grammys. You need to be at the BT Awards.
I don't care what's going on. This needs to be
our celebration because nobody is gonna celebrate.

Speaker 4 (31:39):
Us like us. It's not it's not gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (31:42):
And and the way and even the way they did
radio this year was so much better, Like it just
you know, y'all had these beautiful booths that were set
up and it showed, you know, the logos and the
stations and these are big radio brands across across the country,
and you had everybody who's important in black media was
in that room and that type. It's just like it
it's so important. That's why somebody like me will pay.

(32:04):
I will pay to go to BT. I will pay
my own if I need to be there because it's
that important.

Speaker 4 (32:11):
So it's just and then they had so many things
around it. You know, they had the BT experience. You
don't forget Jagged Edge. You know, Legend did a whole
concert that was packed with people singing word for word, gloorially,
throwing off types of dope after parties, different things like that.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
It's so many things. Jagged Edge will probably and said
what's up? Jed deshoyed me. Really then they say what's up, bro,
what's up with y'all? Was like, all, hell, no, I
remember we interviewed them, Jacket Edge, that's crazy.

Speaker 5 (32:35):
I started singing to him when they walked back, and
they laughed and gave me a hand and we sugar
gets their thing.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
I started singing.

Speaker 5 (32:42):
It's just like, you're not gonna get those type of
opportunities in moments nowhere else. And it's a beautiful celebration,
a black celebration weekend and you don't ain't no crime.
You ain't hearing about nobody got shot. Ain't nobody. Now
that's a cookout, boy, That's what it is. And it's
just it's so important, and I was so pitched yesterday.
I'm not gonna lie that I wasn't in the room

(33:04):
because I, you know, came back for the actual show
because you know, two K Yeah, goddamn, it was the
part of it. You know, like if it was any
show that I should have been at, it was last night.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
It would be two K man.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
That had never happened.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
So let's you know, yeah, we won't talk about that,
but you uh oh yeah. I made up with me
and Claudia Jordan made up.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Oh that was nice, had a little reconciliation.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
Why do you keep beefing with these ladies because.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
Last week money we want to.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
Ladies. I love ladies.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
I was just like ladies.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
I love the ladies. But no, it was cool though.
We got a chance to shove it up. Now we
hadn't really seen each other face to face, and the
time that we have each other, it's worked.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
So it's been like, all right, I got to interview you.
You you're gonna answer these interview questions.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
We're gonna keep it moving, but we got a chance
to talk it out and have a good time.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
And I realized that Marcus shust is rich. And I
got and I got Marcus Shuston to say, what's up
the key key y'all?

Speaker 3 (34:14):
Yes you did.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
I did. I was excited about that.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
You were so proud of that.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
I was proud of you.

Speaker 5 (34:19):
And like he said it like, oh, Marie, Anna's on
the phone. He was like, kekey, hold on, got some fire.
You sure did, got some fire?

Speaker 4 (34:28):
I said, okay, I said, okay, hey Marcus. It was
like a couple of men kind of like this what
it was kind of like what I saw when I
sat looking at It's like how you know how you
ask your mama for some timbling boots and you was
like it was like mama wants some tim and then

(34:49):
I'm gonna be like, okay, I got something. I got
them boots.

Speaker 6 (34:52):
You like.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Colorado? Okay, they like him.

Speaker 8 (35:04):
It's like, bros, that's really ivy.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
It ain't even be your mommy, like your granny something
your granny, so you can't tell you ready like that.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
Ain't that ain't quite it? Granny.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
I love the Colorados.

Speaker 5 (35:30):
But Tom knows how important that era of music and
that tug movement was to me. It really, it really was.
It's most important thing to me. So I appreciate that.
Any time you see any of.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
Them, I'm gonna show up market.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
And I found out Marcus is basically a movie exact,
not even basically is a movie exact.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Him and Chris stokeside footage films. They do it.

Speaker 5 (35:53):
Anything you see that says footage films, it's Marcus and Chris.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
That's crazy. So that's what they're doing. Love that, Yeah,
I love it. I like, I like, that's one of
my things.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Like when I see people that have just gotten quiet
and you might not even know what's going on, and
they and they got a lot of stuff going on.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
Shout out to them for that. Shout out to them.
All Right, whatever Kiky gets quiet, I'm gonna just sha
I will move off.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
No no no no no no no no no no.
What we're gonna do is talk about Britney Renner. Uh,
Brittany Renner. I saw this moment and I was just like,
I actually watched this moment happen with Cosic care.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
Let me get Brittany Brittany. It was Blueleg Care.

Speaker 6 (36:40):
We got married April six and divorce May twenty eight.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
She divorced, Yes, but.

Speaker 6 (36:44):
There is a ninety day waiting period in a SLAM
where it's basically you have ninety days to see if
you're pregnant because then the you know, he would be responsible, right.
And then also in those ninety days it's for reconciliation because
the law wants you to stay married. And then during
those ninety days you are not to entertain anybody romantically.
So what I will say is that Islam has made

(37:05):
my life a lot easier. I think, even with this
transition and you know, things changing, you know, honestly, it's like,
I don't think anybody gets married to not stay married.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
Yeah, look, that is that is an interesting thing. Bootleg Cav.
First of all, she only interviewed with Bootleg Cav.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
Yeah, not really, Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
She came in and tried to care shout out to him.
And I was watching there, like what they're saying, and
then I saw Papabo social media.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
So is this is all the publicity stuff? What do
you think, Kiki?

Speaker 5 (37:39):
I don't think, And I'm gonna be honest with you,
I don't care about them, no disrespect and love me
some Kevin Gates music. A big fan of Kevin Gates music.
I don't care about this relationship with Brittany. I don't
know her, I don't check for her. It's no disrespect,
it's nothing like that. But it's like I don't care enough.
You know what I'm saying. I don't even because I

(38:00):
saw them. I saw the thing. I think it's interesting
that they made this big announcement that they was married
and he went to the premiere and I saw all that,
and now y'all divorced. But it's like, did we think
that it was gonna go any other way?

Speaker 1 (38:12):
Well, here's the thing.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
I didn't think.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
So here's the thing, Kiki.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
Kevin Gates was sitting there courtside at the Lakers game
talking mess about the goat Lebron James and his wife
who've been together decades with children, and you're talking about
own like the way his wife look at him, and
that ain't I wouldn't want to be in that position.
And you you your marriage last fifty days, yep, So

(38:38):
what does your opinion matter exactly? And you thought you
was doing something sitting up there court side at that
Lakers game.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
So I won't. I just won't.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
Lebron ain't gonna say it because he's too classy. So
I'm gonna say it for him.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
That's what Lebron want to do.

Speaker 4 (38:56):
It is like, see, see you was talking all this
stuff about my lady, though you had something to say
about my wife who here and been here, and you
you can't last fifty days?

Speaker 3 (39:05):
And what was the clip that you played because she
didn't even say did she say anything about the marriage?

Speaker 1 (39:09):
She said it was over and got a divorce.

Speaker 4 (39:14):
They just in the waiting period because I think she
said in her religion that they can't something. They have
a ninety day grace period where she can you know,
she has to see if she's pregnant.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
I think that's a part of it.

Speaker 4 (39:23):
And she said she can't entertain any other men for
ninety days, and that's also set in their religion for reconciliation,
so they could try to, you know, figure it out.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
They probably just need a break or not need a break.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
I thought it was a publicity stunt or I thought
you to give that to It's a problicity stunt mixed
with probably a relationship and just elevated because people are saying,
hey were married, now we married.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
We don't got that. Most people are not even caring
about paperwork.

Speaker 2 (39:48):
A lot of celebrities say that they married and they
don't have any papers, any papers to make them legally married.
They just are partners in living. So I mean, I
don't want to say I don't care. I hate to
say I don't care. That's a strong word, but it's
like which one did we really care?

Speaker 1 (40:06):
Which one? Which words strong? I don't care.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
I don't know, but it's all together. I guess I
don't care. I mean, I just don't.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (40:15):
I'm not saying that not don't care because that seems harsh,
but I just said it doesn't. I never thought this
was anything from the beginning, so that that makes that sense.
That makes sense. It's not moving me one way or
the other.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
You don't care, but I say it for you, you
don't care. That's the same thing.

Speaker 4 (40:30):
Don't fix your mouth, don't put your mouth on somebody
else relationship, put your mouth on, mouth on somebody else relationship.

Speaker 3 (40:37):
I just won't care.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
That's what Kevin Gates does.

Speaker 4 (40:39):
You putting your mouth on somebody else relationship, in yours
last fifty days.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
But I did not stop that. My thing is, I
don't know if Kevin Gates cares about it. Maybe I
look at things a little differently. I just don't. It
don't serve any good purpose to talk about Lebron James,
not Lebron James's wife and his relationship just because man, Lebron,
it's just one of them people.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
He can sends it.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
You drop an album, you Kevin Gate, so Bron listens
to it, your streams go up instantly.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
Probably did he gonna move the needle instant?

Speaker 2 (41:11):
Well, he say something about you, He he rocked your clothes,
he you in a picture with him.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
It just moves the needle.

Speaker 2 (41:18):
And why would you want that type of person on
your bad side?

Speaker 5 (41:21):
But again, I don't think he even I don't think
he's in great, like thinking right space, that type of
space because and we said, we talked about this when
this first came out.

Speaker 3 (41:30):
He lost his Savannah.

Speaker 5 (41:32):
So you know what I'm saying, why we expect him
to have respect for somebody else's because he had a
woman bastle. He did so a good and you know
from what we saw, a good woman that he praised
over and over in the music and the history that
he told us about Draker, it was only been positive.
So it seemed like he had a Savannah and he

(41:52):
lost us, And maybe he was speaking from a hurt
of space and projecting onto.

Speaker 1 (41:57):
I didn't like our Savannah, you know, I didn't like it.
I know I like that move.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
I just I love Kevin. I just want him to
make good music.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
What about this move though? Did you like this? Ray J?
The sexy red and justin Bieber situation.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
It's given crack. Everybody like a crackhouse.

Speaker 5 (42:17):
You walk into a crackhouse and it's different characters in
the crackhouse. It's always a white crackhead. That's justin. Then
you got you know what I'm saying, You got ray J.
It's like it's all given crack. I don't know why
he wanted to put sexy in there, but that it's
just the whole scene. Just look, I picture a crackhouse
in my head when you mentioned all that, three of
them together.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
Oh my god, that's that's bad. That's bad. I just
like ray J trolling went too far. That's it. Ray
J jumping into a conversation just went too far.

Speaker 4 (42:48):
Man, Why do you you give ray J a lot
of grace, you do, you give him a lot of rope.

Speaker 2 (42:53):
Because no, you know why I get ray J a
lot of grace because he reminds me of a person
I played sports with. They're just all he does is
just say stuff. Don't really mean no harm, just say
stuff like he said, like we was on the plane
and we slept together, we slept out. They basically was
in the same plane. It's a joke. But he shouldn't

(43:13):
have did it. He should have did it, but I
did it.

Speaker 4 (43:15):
It bothers me because I know, like all through that,
like I see all through that. I know ray J
is intelligent. I know dude. I know dude is super intelligent,
and I know he knows exactly what he be saying.
And I think he tries to play this dumb he
dumbed down himself for whatever reason, maybe because it gets clicked,
it gets viral, and he can you know what I'm saying,

(43:37):
But he knows exactly what he's doing every time. I
never think that ray J is at a place where,
oh he don't know he's doing, He's just playing like
he knows. He's very calculated. He's a I think he's
super smart, but play this like I don't care a
role where he was walking around with Kekey with his
pants all the way down, acting like he's just so
drunk and lit.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
It looked lame to me. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (43:58):
This was on when he was with me.

Speaker 4 (44:00):
You know what I'm saying, he was he was wearing
them so low and he walking around with a bottle and.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
All of this, Like what are you? What are you own?

Speaker 4 (44:07):
Because the deals that you make in the in the
world that you make a ton of money in, you
don't walk over there like that.

Speaker 1 (44:14):
He having fun, man see.

Speaker 4 (44:16):
And that's and then y'all sweep it under that.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
That's how I do. But that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (44:22):
It's just even when he was talking to cop, it
was why you ain't let me get in the shower
with y'all.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
I want to shower with y'all.

Speaker 4 (44:30):
You know what you're saying, man, You know how that sounds,
and you know how that's gonna get being silly man
like I just I.

Speaker 3 (44:35):
Don't know, come too old for that.

Speaker 5 (44:40):
It's like your father, now you have children, you come
from a well established family, your sister has worked your
ass off to to create the brand that y'all work under.
It becomes embarrassing. At some point, we have gotten past
the sex tape ray J. We have gotten pasted the
wild Nights when he was running around with Lottle Kim.
Now you didn't win. You had your Whitney era. You

(45:02):
didn't you didn't had your love and hip hop era.
Now you Why are you taking us through all of this?
And all we want is the best for you? Don't
want to see you win. The America loves ray J,
and we're all rooting for him, but it's like now
you to Now it's so bad, to the point where
it's like you always intoxicated, and on top of it,

(45:23):
now you bringing innocent people into your like sexy ReBs,
Like I didn't have nothing to do with that, you
know what I'm saying, Like that's not funny to say
you slept with me. That's not funny. At your very
big age, and you've been in this industry since you
was a child, so you know what kind of damage
that does?

Speaker 3 (45:37):
Why do that for what? You have so many.

Speaker 5 (45:40):
Opportunities in front of you to be a great, to
be awesome. You could do whatever you want, and you
see like ray J's at the stage his career where
he could be the role model. He could be the
big bro and still get the headlines. Still that's smart. Yeah,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (45:53):
He's that he has that much charisma, and to see
him like that's what pisss me off.

Speaker 1 (45:57):
I figured it out.

Speaker 4 (45:58):
I feel like he go to cheap way out when
I know he can do the other way. Yes, but
it's like I can. I'm gonna do it the cheap way.
I'm gonna act drunk, I'm gonna say wild stuff, get
clicks like that. Yeah, dah dah, but you better than that?

Speaker 1 (46:10):
All right? How about this? Oh this one?

Speaker 2 (46:15):
Fans went in on Corrishaus Shields after she tweeted out
all men don't cheat, my man, don't y'all interviewed Carrisa Shields.

Speaker 5 (46:25):
I think I had a chance to chat with them
and meet Pat Pools for the first It was the
first time for me.

Speaker 1 (46:33):
Did he want to punch you?

Speaker 5 (46:35):
He stood there with his arms folded, And the only
thing I'm mad I don't care. The only thing I'm
mad about from the interaction is that I didn't I
didn't take a picture of what kind of boots he
had on. That's the only thing I forgot to do
and that moment was to take a pic because when
I tell you, he looked first of all Pat Pools,
I feel like they had the same outfit on since we.

Speaker 3 (46:54):
Met him in life.

Speaker 4 (46:56):
Like I don't know, you have to ask somebody in
y'all mad and it's like they are character, like they
are a g T a character off of the game.

Speaker 3 (47:04):
And that's what he kind of reminded me.

Speaker 6 (47:06):
Up.

Speaker 3 (47:06):
He had this like you know, the lux look. Everything
looked like whatever.

Speaker 5 (47:12):
And he came and he had his arms folded and
he so Clarissa sat down and he stood on the
other side of the camera from me in exact, with
his arms folded, and he was like yeah, yeah, And
so I started interview. I was like, so heys because
you stating there me bug and I said, we ain't
doing nothing. So he was cool after that, you know
what I'm saying. But I that's the only thing I

(47:33):
wish I would because my man, I can't for I'm like,
were they loos?

Speaker 3 (47:36):
I need to know they could have been because it
gave LUs.

Speaker 4 (47:40):
Energy very much. So, but he had on Louis, did
he Yeah, that was a Louis shirt.

Speaker 3 (47:47):
Was it Louis Louis or like Louis.

Speaker 1 (47:54):
I'm not.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
Why I'm not gonna let y'all cloud Potpool, I'm not
cloud of papoos.

Speaker 1 (48:05):
Man had a lot of bread. He's undered on right now.

Speaker 3 (48:09):
He had the same.

Speaker 1 (48:10):
It's like, it's like what it is. Poos is a quietude.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
Other had fitted like they not snap back yeah like that, like.

Speaker 1 (48:22):
It's for my era.

Speaker 2 (48:24):
We were fitted bat he you see you got a
little being in yours. He was here straight Now. Pat
Pools can't dress better than me. That's a but I'm
just saying that. But as far as like as I
don't like how y'all y'all getting on him. To me,
this is this is the thing, y'all give it. Pat
Pools a lot of bad energy right now. That's because

(48:45):
the dude. If you think about Pat Pools, he's a
quiet dude.

Speaker 1 (48:50):
He sit back.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
Hey man, I'm quiet, I'm chill. I support my girl.
To me, I don't understand how how everybody got they got.

Speaker 1 (49:01):
He just be chilling. He just be chilling at from
my point of view.

Speaker 5 (49:11):
Not an attack, buts be moving like a GTA character
like he he really stood that his arms folded.

Speaker 3 (49:19):
In that outfit.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
Yeah, he stood there.

Speaker 4 (49:22):
I honestly, he stood there kind of like an intimidate,
if I could be honest, I felt like he was
standing there to intimidate the interviewers to not ask about
their situations that we have seen.

Speaker 1 (49:32):
That's kind of what the staying there.

Speaker 5 (49:33):
And the only reason, and I want to be clear,
the only reason I did not ask the questions I
would normally ask is because I'm that we were working
for asked us to not do that. That's the only reason.
Because I saw people in the comments like why is
they asking them these questions like that? Ain't Key King
and zachmun Rowe, No, it's not. I was respecting the

(49:55):
director we were given from our you know what I'm saying,
our team, because Fat Pools was standing there with his
arms fault, because I don't give it down.

Speaker 4 (50:04):
When they said they was coming, we said, oh, I
looked the Kiki. I knew what was gonna happen, and
I was gonna be nice and he was gonna get
him in there. But then like right before the interview started,
they ran over and gave us that direction to keep
it light happy and don't talk about the other stuff.
So we didn't and we respected it. But also this
didn't stop us. Please okay, because if you touch me,

(50:28):
you're going to Jay tell you that right now, you
touch me. Started talking to now we talked to she
was upset. I mean, she was uptight before the very
uptight when she first sat down. But then when we
started talking to her, she loosened up and I got
to see her personality.

Speaker 1 (50:47):
And I think she's a sweet girl.

Speaker 3 (50:48):
I think she's sweet.

Speaker 1 (50:49):
I do.

Speaker 4 (50:49):
I think she's really sweet once we got to see her.
But she was in defense too. But here's my thing, though,
My thing is this. This is an interview room. Y'all
know what y'all have been through in the blogs. Don't
bring your ass in here and try to intimidate people
not to have the conversation. Don't show up if you

(51:11):
don't want to talk. This is what we're here for.
You knew you were walking in these places with people interviewing,
and we just sent the stuff last week.

Speaker 1 (51:20):
This stuff is fresh.

Speaker 4 (51:22):
And then then try to tell us we don't want
to talk about nothing like that and then stand there
and be up like this. Well, you know you can
go home for that, because we're gonna ask those questions.
We normally would if you was on What More Can
I Say? Podcast, it would just have to be told.

Speaker 3 (51:38):
And it wasn't.

Speaker 4 (51:39):
I just want And it's not disrespect. It's not like
we was gonna disrespect him, but you got to address it.

Speaker 5 (51:44):
It's not disrespect, bro, It's just an opportunity for you
to share your side of the story.

Speaker 3 (51:49):
That's it. Like, share your side of the story.

Speaker 5 (51:52):
That's that's really And I hate because interview it we
get a bad rep, like y'all because I was talking
to one of my favorite record reps about an artist
that he would that I was trying to get him
come through and he was like, man, she just went
through something last week, and I know you're gonna ask,
and I'm like, yes, but it's just only to let
her elaborate on her side of the story and clear
it up. It's never I'm not trying to trap you.

(52:13):
I can't trap you into something you said.

Speaker 4 (52:16):
You know what I'm saying like you said it, it's
not on us said now because I'm think you're mad
at us.

Speaker 1 (52:22):
Though.

Speaker 5 (52:22):
It's so weird how the energy is, like, well, y'all
trying to set them up, like, bro, I'm not trying
to set anybody up.

Speaker 1 (52:28):
Tode Dollard had that energy.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
He had that energy because knew it with Chicago, and
you could tell he just like he he wouldn't relax
like I'm trying to be cool and trying to trying
to really like and I think I said something about
he made her, you know, the accent. I said no
features and he made her future. He's like, he's like,
He's like, what you mean future? That's my I said,

(52:50):
I said no features, Todd, that's my I don't care
if I said no features my accent.

Speaker 1 (52:55):
You probably didn't hear it.

Speaker 2 (52:57):
But he was so he wouldn't come off of He
was tight because it was Chicago and they had said
were gonna let him do Chicago. My thing is ge like,
here's like you said, here's the layup question. Because we know,
at the end of the day, Tie Dollar, yay messing
with you, Tode Dollar helped you at that time. At

(53:19):
that time, it helped you because Kanye was the bigger artist.

Speaker 1 (53:23):
It's a fact.

Speaker 2 (53:24):
So when you stop messing with y'all, stop y'all break
ways and I say, hey man, what what happened with you?

Speaker 1 (53:31):
And ya. And that's and now my hands is off
the steadwheel.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
It's easy for you to come in and say, hey, man,
you know blah blah blah blah whatever politically Craig answer
that you come up with, I'm gonna say, okay, cool,
But to sit there and be tight and not ask
ye ya.

Speaker 5 (53:52):
You been running around with Kanye for the last five years.
You want me and my job is in Chicago. You
won't mee to do a disservice to my audience and
not ask the questions that they want to know from you.
If we got to stop this weird behavior. You think
you can go in the world as a celebrity and
do all kinds of things and everybody else if it's

(54:14):
supposed to act like it never happened.

Speaker 3 (54:16):
When you decide you don't want to talk about it
no more, no but.

Speaker 1 (54:21):
That you did.

Speaker 3 (54:23):
I want to be like you did the Live Bro.
You did it, y'all, just but I don't I don't know,
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (54:32):
I don't know, y'all until y'all put it out there.

Speaker 2 (54:36):
It's just weird, so weird that like people can say,
people can say it all day and I'm asking all
your questions because I have to ask Rick Ross about
being being a correctional officer in the midst of the
height of Rick Ross.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
And he was like, go ahead, ask, bro, go ahead ask.

Speaker 2 (54:55):
And I asked the question. I asked the question. He
gave something type of wild answer, but I ain't give
a care. I'm not gonna push it. He gave an answer.
We kept it, push it. But the thing of it
is is is my my thought is this And I've
seen it with other It was some other artists throughout
radio room that was doing it, like we appreciate you

(55:16):
coming in there, man, but relax. If somebody said they're
not gonna ask her the question has some fun. I'm
not gonna ask the question if you tell me not to.

Speaker 5 (55:24):
Yeah, that's the thing too. If you tell me this
off limits, we ain't gonna talk about it. But then
I am gonna say they told me I cann act you.

Speaker 1 (55:29):
Yeah, when my when my job.

Speaker 5 (55:31):
Is questioned from my listeners who pay my bills, if
they come to me and say white Kiki, ya know.

Speaker 3 (55:36):
You ain't sit across from colorisay, And then asked her
about mind.

Speaker 1 (55:38):
She told me I couldn't and I'm not going and.

Speaker 3 (55:42):
I'm not gonna do that, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (55:43):
But if the whole acting like the outlet is the problem,
or the outlet is to blame because you did some
wold shit a week ago, it's not that's.

Speaker 1 (55:53):
Not cool, that's not Yeah.

Speaker 2 (55:55):
I think when you I think when when the artist
gets mad at you asking the question is weird. I
think getting mad at the person that's interviewing, when they're
being push or asking a messy question or asking a question,
that's where it gets.

Speaker 1 (56:10):
That's where the waters can get a little money, I think.

Speaker 2 (56:13):
And I understand it, Like like you said, me asking
money long, I get that.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
I can.

Speaker 2 (56:18):
I can understand that it's a question. She could have
my opinion, kind of skipped over whatever. But I do
get her getting upset about it.

Speaker 4 (56:26):
It makes I think that was the money long question
was a bit messy because that wasn't out there right,
And that's what I like, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (56:32):
That's me trying to get that's trying to get something.

Speaker 4 (56:35):
Yeah, but I get that we talking about stuff that
we just did, that you just did, you just did.

Speaker 3 (56:39):
That's out.

Speaker 1 (56:40):
Yeah, it's out, it's.

Speaker 3 (56:41):
On the internet.

Speaker 5 (56:42):
Or I can pull it up right now, and you
mad at me for putting it out there, or a
lot of people. And I don't want to sound like
it's certain people that are mad at certain news outlets.
That's a news outlet. All they do is report the news.
If you don't make the news, I have nothing to report.

(57:05):
If you do something, it is my duty to report
the news. You cannot be mad at me for reporting
the news. And I see a lot of people trying
to take down two of our biggest news outlets like that.
They it's it's like hate campaigns. But I'm like, y'all,
do realize they all they do is report the news.
They don't make the news. We don't make this up.
I'm not lying to you. I don't make it up.

(57:26):
All I do is report what's out there, and that's it.

Speaker 1 (57:29):
Yeah, they got it. People gotta relax. They gotta just
they gotta relax. Weird, you know.

Speaker 2 (57:33):
And I was appreciated. I'm still I'm still gonna be
a Tie dollar Sign fan, but I was. I've interviewed
him a couple of times and he was just tight.
He wouldn't he would like he would loosen up, you
would loosen up I'm like, all right, man's cool.

Speaker 3 (57:44):
You know what, I be on the spectrum. That's what
I had to.

Speaker 1 (57:47):
Really that probably last time, that my last year.

Speaker 5 (57:52):
For they be on the spectrum, and I'd be like,
this is not a personal this is you are a little you,
a little different, and that's okay.

Speaker 2 (58:01):
I just let people go, like like my thing is
is if you like that tight or whatever, and I
don't know, whatever kind of energy you was feeling, I'm
gonna let you you going. I'm gonna love your music
and I would rather I would rather love your music
and not how any more bad interactions.

Speaker 1 (58:15):
It wasn't bad.

Speaker 2 (58:15):
It was just odd and everybody in the midst of
I mean, I'm talking to Maya and I'm talking to
boss Man d Lo. Boss Man d Lo got stuff
going on. He was cool and it's a lot of
good energy. Man. I ain't got time at this point
in my career. I just ain't got time for nobody
that don't want to come in and sit and talk.

Speaker 1 (58:33):
You ain't doing I ain't doing. Look put like this.

Speaker 2 (58:35):
I've been famous, whatever level fame i've been, I've been
famous for longer than a lot of weird ass entertainer and.

Speaker 1 (58:42):
When you get what I have been.

Speaker 2 (58:45):
And the thing is, I know you know, and I'm
sure it's Angie Martinez is seen this and other and
other people that's been in the business a long time.
It's like, Bro, you gonna you gonna wish we was
asking you a question. When when people people stop caring,
When y'all walking around here with these masks on, y'all
giving this weird energy doing interviews. Man, stop I keep saying,

(59:09):
it's that dirt under the fingernails my dog. Stop doing music,
Stop being an actor, stop being an entertainer. If you
don't want to do interviews, this is a part of
the game.

Speaker 4 (59:21):
No or make great music and don't do interviews.

Speaker 1 (59:25):
Interviews is optional.

Speaker 4 (59:26):
They got in the business to make records. If you
want to cut records, and that's it, just do that.
Because it's some artists who are big enough that they
don't even have to do interviews, and they don't.

Speaker 1 (59:37):
They put out their own contents.

Speaker 3 (59:38):
They ain't talk to us.

Speaker 4 (59:39):
And is Beyonce said the word to us. And when
she do put out something, she put it out. She's
done editor that she only gonna put out what she
wants you to know.

Speaker 1 (59:46):
And guess what.

Speaker 4 (59:46):
Guess what records and if her stadium still packed.

Speaker 1 (59:50):
Guess what. Everybody ain't beyond say everybody ain't no. I
know the bit. I know the benefit of radio saying well, you.

Speaker 2 (59:58):
Need to know where you're staying in his business or
everybody ain't printing somebody Michael Jackson and I've heard Jay
Z said in the verse like people walk around like
they just made thriller. They act like they just made thriller.
Like my dog, you ain't made no thriller. You still
need to promote. You still need to go holler at people.
It's a reason I said all the time, fifty don't

(01:00:20):
interview that much. But when fifty was in his bag
making music, he was on the grind promoting. And that's
why you still see people and DJs and personalities and
interview outlets that will promote and push fifty because he
made great relationships. Because a lot of time, it ain't
what you're saying to that personality, it's the relationship that

(01:00:41):
you're building with them or that outlet that you're building
with them.

Speaker 5 (01:00:45):
Yeah, and I mean and it you have some interviewers
who are thirsty and who are trying to click bait.
You know, I'm just some people. I don't need to
do that. You know what I'm saying. Let's just have
great moments together, like you know, and you have your
artists like you said that you build those relationships with
And a lot of people sat down with me and
Zach and was like, Yo, when we turn the MIC's out,

(01:01:06):
they're like, whoa, we love y'all.

Speaker 3 (01:01:08):
Y'all. We was expecting something different. This was nice.

Speaker 5 (01:01:11):
I feel better. I feel I can go talk to
everybody now. That's the type of experience I want you
to leave understand, Like, yeah, I know, co Cole Jones,
that's one of my favorites.

Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
Like she know when she said it's good.

Speaker 4 (01:01:23):
I don't mean no harm people.

Speaker 3 (01:01:27):
I don't have no I ain't coming. I'm come in peace.

Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
Even so, man, some of the hard man, the hardest
rappers that was coming through that over the weekend, like
hey bro, hey Man, Hey bro Man, thank you man.
That's a good interview that people because they want they like, man,
I'll sit down like man, we're gonna talk about what
we gotta talk about. You answer them questions, and we're
gonna keep it moving, flick it up and.

Speaker 4 (01:01:48):
Keep it pushing like we asked Jozzy about Diddy. That's
one of the most sensitive things out right now, it's
the whole Diddy trial. But she know we met you
through Diddy. He was posting you. You was the one
on this record label. We gotta talk about that, m H.
And she handled it. She told her truth and there
it was. Ain't nobody asked no more questions. We ain't

(01:02:09):
ask no weird questions, was it baby? Oh, we ain't
doing none of that weird stuff. That's weird though stuff.
No get I hear some people doing that, but we're
not gonna do that.

Speaker 3 (01:02:18):
Don't. Don't everybody not like that.

Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
No, But all in all, though, I will say for
the majority of I would say ninety seven ninety eight percent,
I had great interviews. Everybody came in, ready to talk,
ready to promote.

Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
I just it, just it's.

Speaker 4 (01:02:36):
Good you had my guy, though the man I wish
I would have talked to him.

Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
Give You, oh yeah, give you on was one of
the coolest interviews ever. I get it, I get it,
I get it, I get I get you. Yeah, it's music.
I yeah, I definitely a fan. I was happy when
they say give you is coming over. I was like, bet,
let's go cool, super cool. A lot of the actresses

(01:03:01):
and actors were real cool out of you, A lot
of them.

Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
Everybody was cool.

Speaker 3 (01:03:06):
Man, it's your favorite interview from the weekend?

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
I mean Charles Jenkins, of course, if I got to
say that my pastor, that was a big one.

Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
And there was another one, the Von Franklin.

Speaker 2 (01:03:16):
Good We talked about it, and the Von Franklin took
the layup question. I was like, you had a public relationships,
you think you would ever have another public relationship? We
all know what we're talking about. And he handled it
with class and kept it pushing. The cast of the
shy Man was good to talk.

Speaker 4 (01:03:32):
To one who may go through. He just had to
go your name everybody interview, and his first one was Charles.

Speaker 5 (01:03:44):
When I saw him, I didn't even say, like, how
you doing, mister Dingers, I said you tone past.

Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
He said, yeah, that's what you should have did a
video with. You should have been like I got somebody for.

Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
My favorite. Damn, my my favorite interview. It might have
been that It might it would probably be the Gibbeyon.
But I had good moments with everybody, though. I had
great moments with everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:04:16):
Who is your favorite?

Speaker 5 (01:04:17):
My favorite was Sierra. My favorite was Sierra because you know,
Sierra so rich. At this point, I'm like, why are
you even talking to this? You know what I'm saying, you,
why are you here? And so she sat down and
she was she was down to earth.

Speaker 3 (01:04:31):
She was cool. She's still very rich.

Speaker 5 (01:04:33):
You could feel the rich energy, but she was very like,
very just very nice, very cool, and you know, they
were rushing her like we gotta go wrap it up.
And I'm like, all right, oh, you know what I'm saying,
I don't know what. I'm s Sierra again that I'm
not rushing this, and she was down with it. She
know what y'all want to do, what y'all need. She
was so cool and sold down to earth and just chill,

(01:04:54):
and I was like, I.

Speaker 3 (01:04:55):
Like her a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
Zach was yours, Sierra too. Sierra was number two, number one,
and me was cash off.

Speaker 3 (01:05:01):
Oh yeah, he argued with he was, he was.

Speaker 1 (01:05:04):
I was just being messed with cash. But every time
my interview cashed out.

Speaker 4 (01:05:09):
She knows I'll be messy with her, that's our thing.
Good personality. But she she can handle that stuff. She
ain't she ain't running from nothing. She she ain't. It's
like when I talked to Cash all was like I
messed with her like I talked with Key. You know
what I'm saying, Like, I know, I know she can
handle it. Whatever you say so you can't. It ain't
nothing you can say to her to make her be
like shake her or no, she'll go off on you

(01:05:32):
before you know what I'm saying. Before she made somebody
shake her, it ain't happening.

Speaker 2 (01:05:37):
Be like, they have to kill you off of this
for this show, bro, I said, you brought it up.

Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
She was doing good.

Speaker 5 (01:05:45):
I didn't like how they killed you. But she was
explaining her the real character she was portraying in real life.
That's how she died. She had to die because it
was part of the story. I like that.

Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
I like.

Speaker 7 (01:05:57):
That.

Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
She definitely no the Careesa.

Speaker 2 (01:06:00):
They should let let that.

Speaker 5 (01:06:04):
I wanted to say that. I wanted to say, like
because you you know, you come from music and you.

Speaker 3 (01:06:09):
Did good in your role. Not like what she said.

Speaker 4 (01:06:12):
What was her last Karsha one like my husband, my husband. Yeah,
it was terrible last my husband. Again, she knows, but
she knows that was bad. That's probably a good joke,
all right, man, thousands. Yeam, I'm not ready to go there.

(01:06:33):
We have to, We have to so much more.

Speaker 3 (01:06:35):
To talk about.

Speaker 1 (01:06:36):
BT's where is y'all going?

Speaker 3 (01:06:39):
Is something?

Speaker 5 (01:06:40):
Is something happened to let me know if this is
the end, because y'all, I ain't never seen them on
a five or six people at the same damn town.

Speaker 4 (01:06:47):
I ain't never seen that before. I said, damn, is
this the last one?

Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
You know that was that?

Speaker 1 (01:06:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:06:52):
So I still gotta go figure out what happened with
Kurt Franklin because I fell asleep.

Speaker 1 (01:06:57):
The show was so long. It was a great show.

Speaker 5 (01:06:59):
Yeah, I just hoping that let me know if something
going on over there. I ain't never seen that.

Speaker 1 (01:07:03):
But bid the thoughts that all right?
