On top of that, and then he showed me his bill.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
I've popped another pill.
Speaker 2 (00:36):

You are listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Welcome to this week's show, When Your Health Matters, the
show designed to empower you to better health through knowledge
and education. And I'm your host, doctor Richard Untun from
Advanced Alternative Medicine Center. And here's my partner for the show,
your health advocate Mark Saban.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Well, Doc, it's great to be back with you again here,
and I know there was One of the things that
you do for your patients on a regular basis is
that you offer them whole food supplements as well as
some other supplements that really helped people restore their health
without having to turned to medications and things like that.
(02:03):
And really the fundamentals that you talk about in terms
of health are really the things you were taught in
elementary school about, you know, eating, exercise, sleep, drinking water.
Those are the basic kind of things that are really
at the core of what you use to try to
direct people to better health.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Well, yeah, it's the difference between being healthy and not
being healthy, and the suffering with sickness and bad health.
So when you follow what you were taught growing up
as a kid, you know, proper hygiene, which we talked
about last week, getting good quality exercise regularly, getting quality
sleep regularly, having a good balanced diet of real food,
(02:46):
real water, you know, breathing properly, et cetera. All of
those things are necessary in order for you to be healthy.
And so this show is called When your Health Matters.
And it's not up to me when your health matters.
It's up to you, the listener, to decide that your
health is the most important asset that you have and
what it's going to take to exercise your right to
(03:07):
be healthy given to us by God. And so this
show every week is about helping you to have little
snippets of understanding that you can incorporate into your life
so that you can be healthy. And so we want
everybody to be healthy, and we want everybody to avoid
having sickness.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah, absolutely. I mean well, in terms of sickness, I
mean we're exposed to these past pathogens, whether you know
you want to be or not, it's not. They were
not avoidable.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Well that's true, and so hopefully you've cultivated and continue
to cultivate every day, based upon your lifestyle, a healthy
immune system to fight against these pathogens. And so if
your immune system is having difficulty recognizing and then developing
a proper response to a pathogen exposure, food to support
(04:02):
the immune system and the depletion of the immune system
due to our digestive system disruptors with sugar being one
of the biggest, are things that we need to understand
and consider and hopefully avoid.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
And I mean, what is it about your immune system
that disables its ability to fight off the pathogens that
you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Well, if you don't have the proper ingredients in which
to cultivate normal, healthy function within the body. Whether it's
your immune system, whether it's your digestive system, whether it's
your hormonal system, whether it's your muscular skeletal system, every
system requires different ingredients in order to be healthy and
(04:43):
to be sound, and you need to get those ingredients
regularly so that the body can continually recycle itself and
get rid of old cells and repair them with good,
high quality new cells. As an example, we know that
the span of a blood cells one hundred and twenty days.
(05:04):
So you want to be replenishing your blood cells regularly
every single day, with the overlap being the one hundred
and twenty day mark. But you want to make sure
that your body has enough nutrition in order to maintain
adequate healthy blood cells, et cetera. And so your liver
takes about seven months to recycle. You know, your lungs
(05:26):
are recycling pretty much every day with every breath you take.
Your digestive tract and your digestive lining is replenishing itself
and replacing itself every single day, just like the surface
of your skin. And so having enough of the right
ingredients in order for the old cells to diold gracefully
(05:46):
and the new ones to be really rock solid, strong
and healthy and you know, vibrant the way that they're
supposed to be, instead of replacing an old cell with
a less than ideal cell. And ultimately that's the process
of aging, and that's the process of getting sick.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Now is the same logic cold When you're talking about
being able to cope with toxins that you're exposed to
on a daily basis.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Well, we're exposed to toxins because of how we do society,
and so the better you're nutrition, the better your defense
system will be in effort to combat the toxins that
we're all being exposed to. There are certain people that
have allergies and there are other people who don't. Well,
what's the difference. The difference is the integrity of the
(06:34):
person's immune system and the integrity of either their digestive system,
their respiratory system, or their integramentary known as the skin system.
Because you get allergies externally from things that you eat,
things that you breathe, are things that you come in
contact with, and so if the border of those three
systems digestive, respiratory and integramentary systems are very strong and healthy,
(07:00):
then you won't develop an allergy. If you do have allergies,
I can tell you that wherever you get those allergies,
you have a weakness in the integrity of the system
that regulates whether you get the allergies or not, and
yours is obviously weak.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
So it's actually an immune function that causes the allergic reactions.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
The immune system is involved in an allergic response. Analergy
is when your body gets exposed to a whole protein
of some kind of organism, Okay, whether it's a food organism,
whether it's a pathogen organism, whether it's a heavy metal organism,
whether it's you, chemicals, whatever that you would come in
(07:43):
contact with, and if your body can't digest whatever, the
components are from a complex component to a simple component.
So for proteins, they have to go from complex proteins
of multiple peptides to be broken down into amino acids.
(08:06):
If what's crossing the digestive system barrier in a food
allergy gets across before it's broken down to an amino acid,
then you're going to have a food allergy response. If
it's the amino acids, the final breakdown product of the
food that ends up crossing the immune system barrier wall,
then you won't have an immune response because that's what
(08:28):
should normally be there. But anytime you have two or
more amino acids which now combine to form a protein,
anytime you have a protein that enters into your bloodstream,
the immune system is going to interpret that as a
foreign invader. And when you have a foreign invader, then
that is what provokes an immune response and in a
(08:49):
lot of people's cases. That's what the basis for analergy is.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
And so I mean all these things, I mean, sickness happens,
injuries do happen. Are there options that you can use
either to treat these things or prevent these things that
people may not know about?
Speaker 3 (09:07):
Well, obviously, yes, I mean the issues that we have
was way back in the early nineteen hundreds where two
very rich men associated with our country, Rockefeller and Carnegie,
they got together and they figured that if they started
selling potions and solutions to health issues, that they can
(09:33):
make endless amounts of money for the rest of their lives,
and money would never be an issue for them.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
You mean, so those guys that used to go around
and the horse and buggy things that with the snake
oil salesman that would cure your baldness and increase your vitality.
That's basically what the pharmaceutical industry has become.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
I guess that's an interesting thought process. I never really
looked at it that way, but in essence, yes, that's
exactly what's happened. We've moved away from health, We've become
dependent upon pharmaceuticals in an effort to maintain some semblance
of health. But if you look at the general health
of our country, and you look at the general health
(10:14):
in terms of our country compares to the rest of
the world, our health is terrible.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Yeah, I know, because you know, I've looked at Chinese
medicine and it's completely different approach philosophically and in every way.
I mean, where medicine uses highly toxic things that are
targeted to try to destroy whatever the pathogen is. It's
not a supportive system. It's like a war system, whereas
(10:41):
like Chinese use the gentlest possible herbs they can to
be able to promote the body to heal itself. That's
more the approach.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
You take, right, and so what's important is to assess
a body to understand what's working and more importantly what's
not working. And then once you see that something isn't working,
now you need to understand why it's not working. And
once you understand why it's not working, well, then you
go the next step and you figure out, okay, well
what do we have to do to get it to
(11:13):
go back to working and working normal and then support
it to maintain its ability to continue working for as
long as it's important for the inhabitant of that body,
and so my job is to help a help you
understand what's wrong and why it's wrong, and then what
do we have to do to correct it. And using
(11:34):
toxic chemicals known to have harmful side effects, also known
as prescription medication, is not the best way to go
about that. And there are circumstances where to person's gone
so far off the ranch that that's the best way
to get them back on the ranch. But then once
you're back on the ranch, you don't want to become
dependent upon that. You don't want to depend upon taking
(11:56):
a medication for the rest of your life to do
something that you never should have needed the medication for
to begin with.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
No, I mean, you've been saying for all the years
I've known you that these chronic diseases are caused by
long term deficiencies in the nutrition that we're getting. So
does that actually translate to mean that you can get
your health simply by eating what you need?
Speaker 3 (12:18):
Well, you can mark and there are many with no
health issues that do just that every single day. I
would like to think that that's what I do every
single day. I haven't been sick in over thirty five years.
And the reason is is because I do everything on
a daily basis to maintain the integrity of how my
system works, and I have the ability to reset the
(12:40):
circuits and reset their relationships within the body so that
those relationships don't get so far out of balance that
now I need some sort of pharmaceutical chemical to take
over for the lack of normal functioning that has resulted
due to not addressing things the way that they need
(13:01):
to be addressed.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
And you've done that, you haven't become a vegetarian or
a vegan or something like that.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
That not become a vegetarian or a vegan. What I
have found is that you can do that, and you
will ultimately end up finding that you need to modify
your understanding in order to achieve help, if that choice
is the choice that you make. I have yet to
meet in my thirty seven years of helping people, a
(13:27):
truly healthy vegetarian and a truly healthy vegan. They all
have some level of deficiency because the food choices that
they're making, which I don't have any problems with the
food choices that they're making physiologically, their system isn't set
up to get all the essential ingredients that it requires
(13:50):
from a vegetarian or a vegan diet, unless you're the
byproduct of thirty or forty generations of having eaten that way,
then your body will learn to adapt to getting all
of its essential amino acids from a vegetarian or a
vegan lifestyle. But if you quote found God and decide
(14:12):
that you don't like the way that they treat the
animals that are used in our food supply, and so
you don't want to promote continuous use of that. So
you're just not going to partake in eating animal flesh,
I guarantee you that you're going to ultimately end up
having health problems because the essential amino acid methionine is
(14:32):
only available to the people in this country through red meat.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Now you don't need to eat a lot of red meat,
but you're going to need to eat a little bit
of red meat periodically in order to satisfy your body's
need for that essential amino acid. And it's essential because
your body can't manufacture it on its own.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Okay, So I mean, are there other things that you
can do to compensate for some of the garbage that
you're getting out of the environment. Because whether you're eating healthy,
the healthiest organic food that you want, and you're eating
the right amount of everything that you need, you're still
being impacted by the fact that we live in a
(15:16):
world where there's pollution, where there's chemicals in the water,
there's chemicals in the air. What do you do about that? Right?
Speaker 3 (15:23):
So, what you want to do to compensate for that
is you want to drink plenty of artesian mineral or
spring water. You want to avoid the processed waters. You
want to eat plenty of naturally processed and grown foods, okay,
and you ultimately are going to have to supplement your
diet with good, high quality, whole food supplements. I take
(15:44):
a crap load of supplements every single day. I take
a crap load of supplements every single time I eat.
And people look at me when they see me taking
myself They're like, how do you take all of that?
And I'm like, well, watch and I just put a
handful in my mouth and take a sip of water,
and They're gone, why do I do it? I do
it because I know that the food that is available.
(16:05):
Even though my wife and I try to eat quality,
real fresh food, I know it's already deficient because the
food industry is making nutritionally deficient food to help feed
the other half of the FDA, which is the drug
aspect of it. So the food aspect has been married
(16:25):
to the drug aspect of it and that's what runs
our healthcare industry. And those two enstya should never be together.
And if you do one the right way, then you
will never need the one that you do when you
have bad outcomes.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
So how are you going to know what it is
that you should use to supplement your diet?
Speaker 3 (16:45):
Well, you need to meet with a professional such as
myself who has an ability to assess you for how
your body's functioning and if things aren't functioning properly, what
is the nutritional support that you're going to need in
order to reactivate how your body functions in order for
it to start doing what God gave you your birthright,
(17:09):
which is to be healthy.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
So are there enough? I mean, can you get the
dietary supplements that you need from say taking vitamins and
things like protein drinks that are being recommended.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Well, it's so much more than taking that mark. There's
specific supplements for specific nutritional efficiencies that you've manifested in.
Having the correct understanding is vital for changing the results
that have manifested in disease. And so protein drinks are
fine if you're not eating good protein sources. You know,
(17:42):
there's ways to supplement, and a protein drink is not
a replacement for a meal. It's a supplement for what
you should be eating, Okay. And so taking vitamins the
interesting The word vitamin was originally two words. It was
(18:02):
vital and it was a means, and they put the
two words vital a means together and they shorten it
to the word vitamins. So vitamins are specific components within
food that act as stimulus to produce normal physiological functioning,
(18:22):
assuming that all the other cofactors trace elements, etc. Are
involved in what those vital amans are. And so the
difference between taking a chemical isolated let's say, a B
vitamin versus a whole food BE vitamin. The whole food
BE vitamin has everything that you would require as produced
by nature. The chemical synthetic B vitamin doesn't. And so
(18:47):
you may get a particular stimulus within the body from
taking the artificial components, but eventually you're going to run
out of the cofactors and the trace elements that go
along with it, and you're going to create a big
problem by taking the artificials.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Well that's this has been a great little segment of
our show here because it really sets us up for
what I want to get into in the next in
the next section, which is what are the supplements you
should be taking? But before we do that, we need
to take a short commercial break to hear from my
general sponsor, the Alternative Healthcare Network dot com.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
You are listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
If you're currently suffering from any health concern and you're
not getting the results you're looking for, please feel free
to call me directly at area code eight four five
five six one two two two five again eight four
five five six one two two two five, or you
can email me directly at doc gric at spineboy dot com.
That's Doc ri c K at spine boy dot com,
(19:48):
and I look forward to serving your healthcare needs naturally.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
You're listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Now. In the first part of our show, we talked
about the fact that you need to supplement your diet
because there just isn't the proper nutrition available in the
food sources that we have today. And you said that
you take quite a few supplements yourself, but really it
comes down to twelve fundamental supplements that you recommend people
take and that these can make a huge difference to
(20:17):
the usual health problems people might have. So let's take
a look at what those are. So at the top
of the list, what do you have there?
Speaker 3 (20:23):
Well, the top supplement that the original supplement that was
produced by the Royal Lee who developed the Standard Process
Whole Food Supplement Company way back in the nineteen twenties
when they started to refine our food nationally. He noticed
that doctors that he was friends with and the patients
(20:44):
and etc. That he was coming across were starting to
develop nutritional deficiency issues because of the refining of our food.
And as a farmer, he recommends he recognized the importance
of quality ingredients if you want a quality crop, and
he understood the importance of you know, if you want
(21:05):
lazy cows, that they need to be in an area
that is high in phosphorus and low in calcium. And
if you wanted to have very hyperactive, speedy race horses,
then you need more calcium and less phosphorus. And so
in the area of the country in Wisconsin they have
(21:26):
high phosphorus and low calcium for the lazy cows. But
in Kentucky they have high calcium and low phosphorus for
the race horses. That allows the race horses to be fast.
So he understood the importance of nutrition and the effects
that nutrition had. And so the very first supplement that
(21:46):
he invented and created and sold was a multi vitamin
that he called catalin. And the name was actually two words,
just like vital amine to form vitamin, Catialin is catalyst
and the vitamin and you put those two words together
and you get catalin. And so catalin is a whole
(22:09):
food multivitamin that has all the nutritional ingredients to support
the body as a foundational basis for being healthy. And
I personally take six of those every day.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Well, that wouldn't that be all you would need to
have it as a preventative health.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Yeah, if I was a slug and didn't do anything
and didn't have any stress and didn't interact with life
differently than let's say you do, or let's say my
wife does, or let's say the average listener does. We
all have different stresses, and our body requires different ingredients
to maintain how we deal with our stress. So the
foundational ingredient for the body is the multi vitamin, the
(22:49):
whole food multivitamin, which is called catalin.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
The platform that's the.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
Platform for everything else that you would need to add
to that foundational ingredient, and it comes in a gluten
free form.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Mm hmm. Okay, So that's the first of the subtle
is what's the second supplement you recommend.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
That would be a probiotic. It's called Ultraflora plus. It's
made by a company called Metagenics, and this is the
probiotic we recommend, and I personally take three a day
every single day because I know the importance of maintaining
my microbiome.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
Mm hmm. I mean, you talk about probiotics a lot,
and really one of the things that probiotics is has
actually helps you absorb the nutrition that you're.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
Eating exactly, it does, and you need to have some
nutrition to support that process. And catalin is that nutritional
support that helps to make sure that there's something to
absorb by having the good probiotics in there.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Mm hmm. Okay. So now that brings us stuff to
what number three.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
Is Number three is is for a condition to help
counterbalance a condition that is ubiquitous throughout our country, and
that's a imbalance into my probion with an overgrowth of
yeast and candidia due to the deficiency in good probiotics,
which is why we recommend a probiotic. But the counterbalance
to the probiotic is a supplement called zymex which actually
(24:13):
helps to digest and maintain proper balance within the yeast
and the candidia that has a tendency to overgrow anytime
you consume sugar.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
Now, does that have anything to do with the alkalinity
and acidity of the body.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
There'll be people that will try to equate that. But
your your body has a buffering system that works behind
the scenes, and it maintains the pH of the body
in the various parts of the body, and a very
specific pH because if you vary too much from that
particular pH, then either that part of the body doesn't
(24:49):
work properly or the body just simply dies.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Yeah, because I remember talking some years ago about alkaline
water and that could be beneficial for people, But is
that really true.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
That was a gimmick.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
It was a gimmick. Sh oh, don't tell anybody, so, yeah,
because your body has a very narrow range for its
proper pH right, Okay, So what's number four?
Speaker 3 (25:16):
Number four is a multi immune system supplement known as imuplex.
This is an immune support product that helps to keep
the immune system strong against viral infections as it is
a natural anti viral supplement, and I personally take three
of those every single day myself so that I can
(25:37):
go to work and deal with sick people and not
worry about picking up what they have because my body
already has the ingredients in which to combat it. So
I don't worry about picking up viruses from anybody that
would come into my office with a virus.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
So is that kind of like having a flu shot
in a natural way? Well?
Speaker 3 (25:55):
Actually not. A flu shot gives you the flu virus
and hopes that your immune system will develop the antibodies
necessary to prevent the flu from going forward. It's not
a smart way to combat the flu as far as
I'm concerned, as you give the person the pathogen they
want to fight off. I had a patient once who
she was an elderly woman.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
She was an.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Actress, and she had a left mastectomy because she had
cancer earlier on in her life, and when they take
out the breast tissue, they take out the lymphatics that
helped support the lymphatic drainage, specifically to her left arm.
So she didn't have any immune sewer system in her
(26:39):
left arm because it had been removed. And so when
the yearly flu shot came around, her doctor suggested that
she get it and gave her the flu shot in
her left arm.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
I have a feeling this doesn't turn out well.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
She had the flu for six weeks. Because when you
get a flu vaccine, they're giving you the flu virus
a reduced strain of the virus in hopes to stimulate
your immune system to develop a proper immune response. The
problem is is that nature doesn't inject you with a virus.
(27:17):
Virus comes in through your respiratory system, and so your
immune system should attack it the way that it normally
gets into the body. When you get an injection like
a vaccine, you're bypassing the immune response and the immune
system and you're injecting it into the behind the immune system.
So most people don't worry about what's going on behind them.
(27:41):
They worry about what's going on in front. Of them. So,
if your immune system is looking for pathogens in front
of itself and one sneaks in behind it, what kind
of results do you think that's going to create?
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Yeah, I don't know that that's going to work out too.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
Well, right, And that's why getting a flu vaccine every
year is actually going to create a weakened immune system
and create more problems with the flu.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
So, if that's the case, is that something that builds
up over time that you've had the flu shot every
year for ten years, is that different than if you
just had your first flu shot?
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Let's ask you if you just heard what you said,
does it build up over time when you've had like
ten flu shots every year for the last ten years,
It's like, well, if it worked, why would you need
to have another dose? Well, it WANs in its effectiveness. Well,
then it's obviously not that effective.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
Well, what about the strains of the flu that they
talk about? The strains change exactly.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
You know, where you get your immunity from everything that's
in your environment, drinking water that comes out of the ground.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
How does that work?
Speaker 3 (28:51):
Because all pathogens that exist find their way into the
water supply, and when you drink the water you get
homeopathic dose of everything that is in your environment, so
that your immune system naturally develops immunity to all those
things in your environment. Now, how do we jack that
(29:12):
system up? Well, we put our water in a bottle.
They purify it, which actually kills everything that was in
the water, okay, and causes your body to leach the
ingredients that should have been in the artesian well the
mineral or the spring well water that they've taken out
(29:33):
of it. So you actually create a deficiency by drinking
all bottled water, and so you actually set yourself up
for immune system failure. Now, if you drink artesian well water,
it's very very high in calcium bicarbonate, which is the
exact form of calcium to help strengthen your immune system.
And so if you're able to drink artesian well water,
(29:55):
mineral water or spring water. Primary water that they drink
in Europe is mineral water. We don't really offer or
even talk about mineral water in this country because everything
is made by coke or pepsi, whether it's the sunny
water or whatever the other water is that's made by
the other one of those two companies, and so that's
(30:16):
sold and marketed, et cetera, and people buy it because
it's purified, and they think they've been a Jedi mind trick,
thinking that if it's purified that nothing bad can happen
to you, when in fact, drinking the purified water is
what ultimately creates the weakness in your immune system.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
It's so interesting because many years ago, when I lived
in California, I had a job that took me past
a little spring that would come down near the road,
and I would go there and I would collect the water.
And the water was the only way I could describe
it was the water itself was sweet. It just tasted
(30:51):
so excellent, right, And so I would go there and
I would collect the bottles of water myself. And then
one day, I don't know what happened, there was some
you know, the rangers had found a raccoon that had
died somewhere near where the spring was, and they said
this is no longer safe to drink, which was really
unfortunate for me because that was where I had been
(31:13):
collecting my water.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
And maybe that was true, or maybe it was a
contrived story in an effort to get people to stop.
I had at a situation where when I used to
practice up in Vermont. When I was filling in for
one of my pay of one of my doctor friends
who had died. I was trying to help the wife out,
so I went up there once a week to help
as many patients as I could during the Wednesday and
(31:34):
so at lunch I would go to the local little
eatery there. And small town, very small town. So they
had their local newspaper, and in the local newspaper that
I was reading was the story of a woman. Between
her and her three neighbors, they purchased a cow. They
kept the cow on her property because she had the
space for it, and they all contributed to feeding and
(31:58):
the health of the cow. And she would share the
milk that she got from her cow with the other
three owners. And one day she had a knock on
the door from the EPA. They basically find her some
huge sum of money because she was distributing milk without
a license. That's the level of corruption that goes on
(32:26):
in an effort to get people to do what the
powers that be want people to do. They got to
take away your source and they got to make you
dependent upon their source. And that's it's the world we
live in unfortunately. So why is it important for our
listeners to get an education so that they can help
(32:47):
themselves navigate the minefield that has been created for our
society so that they can avoid the pitfalls and end
up in the outcomes that is designed to make sure
that we all end up having.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
Well, that's something. So let's go back to our supplement.
So we've talked about the first four. What's the fifth
one on your list of the twelve supplements you should take?
Speaker 3 (33:12):
Well, we talked about what the importance is of calcium.
It's the most abundant mineral in the body. So number
five is calcium lactate. This is the precursor for the
exact form of calcium that the body needs to develop
strong immunity. We just talked about that. It's called calcium
by carbonate, So calcium lactate is a precursor to calcium
by carbonate. It helps to keep the cells filled with
(33:35):
calcium and healthy to keep infection from entering into the body.
And taking calcium lactate on a daily basis, I personally
take three a day just to keep my immune system
honest so that my cells have what they need. And
calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body that's
needed for all physiological processes. So whether it's your muscle
(33:59):
skeletal system, whether it's your immune system, whether it's your
digestive system, your hormonal system, your cardiovascular system, calcium is
used in every single one of those processes. So having
enough adequate amounts of proper calcium is important.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
So it makes me wonder about you know, there's people
that are lactose intolerant, and so when I hear that
word lactate, I'm wondering is there any relationship to that
for anybody that might be lactose intolerant.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
So, lactose is milk sugar. It's a molecule of lactose
and a molecule I'm sorry, a molecule of gu lactose
and a molecule of glucose to make milk sugar, which
is called lactose. Okay, So calcium lactate is not that
(34:45):
same form, nothing to do with nothing to do with that,
but it is the ideal precursor for calcium bicarbonate. What's
interesting is there are supplement companies out there that will
evaluate what a person excretes to see what the body
is getting rid of and they will naturally draw the
(35:06):
conclusion to say, well, if the body is excreting calcium carbonate,
then we're going to produce the supplement that is made
from calcium carbonate. But that's a waste product. That's what happens.
When you take calcium bicarbonate and you use half of it,
you get rid of the other half. But it needs
(35:26):
to be in the bicarbonate form in order for you
to take advantage of the part that you need while
getting rid of the part that you don't need.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
Yeah, this is why you need to talk to somebody
like you who understands how all these things work biochemically
exactly exactly. So what's number six?
Speaker 3 (35:44):
Number six is the counterbalance to calcium lactate, which is
cataplex c. This is the whole food vitamin C complex
which strengthens the immune cells that eat infection. It makes
up the deficiency many have in calcium that keeps infection
from getting in. While calcium, why, cataplex c feeds the macrofages,
(36:08):
which are the immune cells that eat anything that gets
past the border wall. So calcium lactate makes the strong
border wall and cataplex c are the ice officers on
the inside of the border wall that helps to keep
anything from getting further into the system and setting up
the body for infection.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
And does that have the same origin of the catalyzed
that catal.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
In Catalin is a catalyst. Cataplex is a combination of
a complex and a catalyst. Okay, So those two words
put together is what forms cataplex. And then there's several
different cataplexes which we will see, but the most vital
(36:56):
one for the body in our hierarchy of the twelve
supple that one needs in order to be healthy, the
first cataplex that we come across is cataplex C.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
Well, this is very, very fascinating. Stop dot grig. We
need to take another short commercial break to hear from
our sponsor, the Alternative Healthcare Network dot com. When we
get back, I want to find out about the other
six supplements.
Speaker 3 (37:17):
Absolutely, but please listen to this commercial from our Generals sponsor.
You're listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network dot com.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
You are listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.
Speaker 3 (37:29):
If you're currently suffering from any health concern and you're
not getting the results you're looking for, please feel free
to call me directly at area code eight four five
five six one two two two five again eight four
five five six one two two two five, or you
can email me directly at Doc gric at spineboy dot com.
That's Doc Riick at spine boy dot com. And I
(37:53):
look forward to serving your healthcare needs.
Speaker 4 (37:55):
Naturally, you are listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
So now we've covered six of these fundamental supplements that
do you recommend, and those are excellent for helping people
get to better health. So as we pick back up here,
what do we talk about? What's number seven?
Speaker 3 (38:11):
Number seven is another cataplex. It's called cataplex f F
as in Frank. This is the whole food vitamin F
which helps support the tissue calcium requirements by transporting calcium
from the blood into the tissues. It also stops and
prevents sunburn from happening.
Speaker 1 (38:30):
Sunburn, sunburn. I mean, you haven't even heard of vitamin.
Speaker 3 (38:33):
F, right, because the government did the best they could
to suppress the concept of a thing called vitamin F. So,
vitamin F is a part of the vitamin E complex, Okay,
And what vitamin F does is it's a calcium transporter
from the blood into the tissues. Now, when you're out
in the sun and the sunlight hits your skin, the
(38:56):
oils in the skin produce a fat soluble vitamin called
the vitamin D. Vitamin D then diffuses through the tissues,
and in the process diffusing through the tissues, it picks
up calcium. So the more sunlight you're exposed to, the
more vitamin D that is created, the less tissue calcium
that you're going to have, because it takes the calcium
(39:17):
out of the tissues and puts it in the blood
to be used for immunity, to be used for bone health,
et cetera. And so what ends up happening is when
your tissue calcium levels get down below a certain threshold,
Now you get cellular damage as a result to the
skin exposure. That's what sunburn is interesting. So when you
take cataplex f to take the calcium out of the
(39:40):
blood and saturate the tissues with calcium the way that
it's supposed to be, then you don't get any sun damage,
you don't get any sunburned, you don't get sun poisoning,
you don't get sunstroke. The sun is the center of
our galaxy, and somehow in the last forty years, it's
become harmful only to humans, not tell other animals, certainly
(40:00):
not to plants, but to humans. And I just find
it fascinating. So cataplex F is the whole food vitamin
F complex that helps to maintain tissue calcium and stops
you from getting sunber.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
Well, it kind of makes me wonder now that we
do have this new letter in the vitamins. Did why
is it called vitamin F, why vitamin ciny? How do
those names come about?
Speaker 3 (40:23):
Well, back in the day when they were really doing
research on food to understand how food functioned. Okay, the
first vitamin that they came across, which they ultimately called
the vital amine, they figured out that it was vital
was was vitamin A that helped with is sight. Okay.
Then the second vitamin that they came across, well, they
decided to give it the second letter of the alphabet,
(40:45):
which was vitamin B. But then ultimately they learned the
more they studied vitamin B B that there's as many
as twenty five different fractions of vitamin B. So we
know about B one, which is thiamon, we know about
B two, which is rival flavian we got B which
is nyasin. We've got B four, we've got B five,
we've got B six, we've got B nine. There's also
(41:07):
a B seven. There's a B twelve. Everybody appreciates B twelve.
And so the ones that are synthetically made are the
ones that you've heard of. The ones that are made
by nature, which they didn't know how to cultivate in
a way without destroying it. Because vitamin B is both
heat sensitive and water sensitive. So the more water it's
(41:28):
exposed to and the more heat it's exposed to and
the more light it's exposed to, the less B vitamin
that is going to continue to be in whatever that
product is. And so, yeah, you have these different B
vitamins and cataplex C and cataplex F, and now we
(41:48):
have cataplex B and cataplex B. Is the whole food
be complex, and it's designed to support the digestive health,
the immune health, and really important heart health. People will
get a ray heartbeats, people have heart disease, they have
a B vitamin deficiency, and it's compounded by sugar because sugar,
which comes from a plant that's high D B vitamins,
(42:10):
gets refined and you lose all the B vitamins out
of the sugar that we sell as sugar, which is,
you know, white refined sugar. Eating foods high in white
refined sugar leaches to B vitamins out of your system,
which ultimately causes heart disease.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
Interesting, Yeah, because they do certainly have heard enough in
the research I've done for the show over the years
that so much of what causes heart problems is from
the consumption of sugar, right, causes the arteries to get
plaque and things like that. So number eight was actually
cataplex B then correct. Okay, so three cataplexes. Why are
(42:49):
there so many of these cataplexes.
Speaker 3 (42:51):
Well, again, the cataplex is a combined name for both
catalysts and for complexes for different functions within the body.
And so whether you cataplex F, which is for tissue
calcium levels and skin health, whether you're cataplex C, which
is for immune health and immune cell health, and cataplex B,
which is for all the electrical impulses in the body
(43:13):
and maintains normal muscle function. Yeah, so you got multiple
different cataplexes.
Speaker 1 (43:19):
I mean, it's so interesting that these are all food
based supplements. These are not chemical based supplements, all right.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
This is what God created for us that man has understood.
But when man becomes greedy and wants to make profit
and wants to do it without waiting for nature to
grow naturally. Yeah, if crops are only growing once a
year and you use those crops, well, how do you
produce enough to last the year? So let's create artificial
(43:47):
chemical substrates, and let's package them from the same pharmaceutical
processors that make all pharmaceutical drugs. And let's just package
them and sell them as what people need, like one
Day or Centrum or whatever the national multi vitamin brands
that are out there, right.
Speaker 1 (44:07):
I mean, even though these are whole food, they're coming
in capsule and tablet form.
Speaker 3 (44:14):
Right because the manufacturer standard process takes the whole food,
juices it and without the juice being exposed to heat
or light. They take the juice and they put it
in a vacuum dryer that never gets above seventy seven
degrees and they dry it over the course of several days.
And what you're left with is a powder that is
(44:35):
fully intact with all the ingredients that was there from
its vegetable source. Now they take that powder and they
combine it with other powders to make the properties of
the specific whole food supplements that actually help to feed
the body to maintain normal physiological functioning. So cataplex B
(44:56):
is a nerve nutrient that helps to maintain the nerve
impulses that travel from one end of the nerve to
the other end of the nerve.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
Sounds like something you'd want to have happening.
Speaker 3 (45:07):
You would definitely want to have that happening. And so
when one gets an irregular heartbeat because there's misfiring going
on with the electrical system within the heart, destroying the
nerve centers that promote the movement from the sinoatrial node
to the atrial ventricular node to the Berkinji system, destroying
the essay node by quarterizing it using a hot iron
(45:31):
of sorts up through the inside of your leg, up
the vena cava into the heart to where the sinoatrial
node is and then they destroy it. And then they
give you a pacemaker to regulate your heart rate instead
of feeding your body B vitamins to maintain your heart rate.
One's one hundred thousand dollars surgery. The other one is
about a nickel every day.
Speaker 1 (45:52):
What a big difference that is? Yeah, well all right,
so we're eight in So what's number nine?
Speaker 3 (45:58):
Number nine is a we we talked about immuplex, which
is a natural anti viral. Okay, well what do we
do for bacteria? What we use a supplement called congoplex.
Congoplex is a natural antibiotic to support the immune system
to fight infections caused by bacteria without destroying the good
(46:18):
bacteria that's already there. So it does the good benefits
of an antibiotic without the harmful side effects associated with
an antibiotic. So the congoplex supports the immune system to
develop antibacterial properties so that your immune system. Anytime you're
exposed to a bacteria, the immune system knows exactly what
(46:38):
to do in order to remedy it.
Speaker 1 (46:40):
So, I mean, a lot of the antibiotics aren't able
to handle things like these super resistant superbugs. So to me,
it makes a lot of sense that you'd want to
show up your immune systems capabilities naturally.
Speaker 3 (46:52):
Well, let me digress for a minute. Superbugs, mark don't exist.
Bugs are bugs. They're not going to the gym, they're
not taking steroids, they're not working out, they're not getting stronger.
Speaker 1 (47:05):
That mean we're getting weaker.
Speaker 3 (47:06):
Human beings are getting weaker. Our immune systems weaker, Our
bodies function is weaker, our food supply is weaker, our
ability to get nutrition from our food is weaker. And
so weak immune systems that can't fight off infections is
a real problem. And the weaker and more immune suppressed
we get from all the crap foods, the stronger it
(47:27):
appears that pathogens are getting. The truth is we are
getting weaker as a species from the poor foods that
we eat. And I can't emphasize that enough. And we
just had a worldwide pandemic that emphasized how weak our
immune system's ability to resist disease is. And it's just
(47:47):
sad that the answer is sitting right in front of us.
But we don't think that life should be so simple.
We think that it needs to be complex and require
complex and very expensive and lots of research and this,
that and the other thing, when in reality, Okham's razor
has always stood the test of time, and which says
(48:09):
the lack of empirical evidence, the simplest answer is usually
the right answer.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
And so the simple answer that you're offering is that
if you get the proper nutrition into your body in
the first place, your.
Speaker 3 (48:21):
Body does exactly what it's designed to do and you
don't ever have to worry about having a problem.
Speaker 1 (48:26):
That's a brilliant, simple way of putting it all together.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
And that's how it's worked for my whole adull life.
Speaker 1 (48:32):
Yeah. No, I've known you for many, many years and
I have never seen you sick at all, so I
can vouch for you. Back to the supplements, what's the
tenth supplement that we talk about.
Speaker 3 (48:43):
Number ten is fengri. This is a supplement to stop
mucus production when there's too much due to congestive thoughts
and the resulting congestion that occurs from those congestive thoughts.
There are lots of people that get colds in the winter,
lots of people that get congestion. There are lots of
people that have asthma due to excess mucus, et cetera.
(49:06):
And so having fenngri for the people who have excess
mucus or are prone to excess mucus production is important
because fenri, which is fenu Greek seed okay, is designed
to thin the mucus so that your body can excrete
it through the normal channels as opposed to getting the
congestion and having to cough it up and then spit
(49:29):
it out.
Speaker 1 (49:30):
So is that something you would take on a daily
basis or is that something you would take upon need.
Speaker 3 (49:36):
Well, that all depends if you are somebody. You know,
I've had patients in the past that are just chronically
congested all the time, So I put them on that
as a daily regime until the congestion started to go away.
And then once the congestion starts going away, well, then
we modify the dose and we modify the frequency of
(49:56):
which they need to take it. But if you're your
body is a mucus factory, then taking fenre is going
to be one of the best things that you could
do for yourself. And it's a whole food supplement based
in fenu greasy.
Speaker 1 (50:10):
So we're up to number eleven.
Speaker 3 (50:12):
Number eleven is a supplement for specific circumstances. These last
three are for isolated incidents. They're not something that you
necessarily need to take unless you have the problem. So
number eleven is a supplement called coline, which has us
to be one of the B vitamins. It's supplement that
keeps the bile route clean and is recommended for those
(50:34):
with symptoms of food borne illness, gallbladder imbalances, things related
to reflux, things related to food poisoning, people who are
throwing up. Coline is used to actually calm and flush
the gallbladder route.
Speaker 1 (50:52):
So okay, that brings us to the final of these
the number twelve. What is that? Well?
Speaker 3 (50:58):
Number twelve is another isolation, a specialized supplement for people
that have the problem, and it's an immune support supplement
called prolamine iodine. This is an iodine supplement many need
to support the thyroid and the immune response within the body.
It should only be taken if you have a suppressed
thyroid due to emotional repression and needs to be closely monitored.
(51:21):
If you're taking sinthroid and your doctor has made you
convince that you're going to need to take sinsroid for
the rest of your life, you may benefit from taking
iodine replacement therapy for a period of time. That can
help to activate the thyroid mechanism, and iodine is also
used to support the immune response. When you were a
(51:44):
kid and you got a cut, what did your mom
put on the cut? Because it has immune properties to
help stop infection, but it's also used to help maintain
the integrity of the metabolic processes within your thyroid. And
that's the twelfth and the final of the top twelve
(52:05):
supplements that I recommend for people depending upon what's going
on with their health.
Speaker 1 (52:09):
Well, since it is something that you recommend according to
what people's needs are, according to what's going on with
their health. And there are people that you know, they
got curious because they've listened to what we've been talking
about today and the different supplements that are available, what
are the best ways to get that very specific advice
where you could talk to somebody specifically about their problem.
Speaker 3 (52:28):
Well, that's a great question. When you come into my office,
we do a nutrition based health evaluation. It is an
evaluation designed to define where you are nutritionally deficient and
what the effects of that nutritional deficiency is and how
it's manifesting in your health problems. And then when we
support appropriately what the body needs in order to address
(52:51):
those health imbalances. We use the whole food supplements and
we find the ones that are specific for you and
the dose specific for you, and then you start taking
that and then slowly over time, you watch your health
problem magically disappear and you find your health gets restored.
And so that's the passion of what I do every
(53:12):
single day in my office. That's the passion for what
God gave me in terms of helping people. And if
you have a health problem and you're tired of suffering
with it and you don't want to take the toxic
chemicals known to have harmful side effects known as medication,
I would love to talk to you. The best way
to reach out to me would be to call my
cell phone directly at area code eight four five five
(53:35):
six one two two two five again eight four five
five six one two two two five. Uh. You can
text that phone if you like. It may take me
a while to get back to you because I'm not
really inclined to do texting with people. I just find
it very impersonal. But you can email me directly at
doc Ric dc Riick at spineboy dot com. That's Docrick
(53:57):
at spineboy dot com. I would courage you to go
to my website, which is spineboy dot com. It's a
five hundred and eighty page of separate conditions. It's a
labor of love, it's a passion that I have for
educating people. It teaches you the medical perspective, it teaches
you the alternative health perspective, and it gives you recommendations
for any health issue that you have. So it's a
(54:19):
good place to start. So I want to encourage you
to take advantage of any one of those ways to
get a hold of me. In the meantime, I want
to thank you for tuning in this week. I really
appreciate your listenership. I ask you to tune back in
next week, same health time, same health station. This is
doctor Richard on tune from Advanced Alternative Medicine Center, saying
I look forward to supporting you when your health matters
Speaker 1 (54:46):
Much position he said, you're definitely that's
