Be my physician.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
He said, you're definitely ill than to the nurse. I've
seen worse.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
Than the doctor.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Just gave me a pill. Take one of those three
times today. You don't never stop on till you're dearly dinner.
Speaker 4 (00:16):
Awful.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Better keep out of the region children. The thing is
that some side effects, you mean, the probably will well.
Limits of fact, you can't come. I'll give you one
out of the film. On top of that, on top
of that, on top of that, on top of that,
on top of that, on top of that, and then
he showed me his bill.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
I've popped another pill.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
You know, as we finish out the month of March,
I thought one of the topics that we should really
investigate a bit is something that afflicts probably at least
fifty million Americans, and that's arthritis.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Yes, arthritis inflammation of the joints and can create pain
and destruction of the joint, possibly requiring joint replacement surgery.
There's nothing fun going on there.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
What causes arthritis?
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Well, arthritis is made up of two parts arthro meaning
joint and then there is the itis meaning inflammation. So
Arthritis simply means inflammation of a joint, and based on
your statistics, it's quite common in our country. And the
sad part is is it doesn't have to be a problem.
(02:30):
So we should get into understanding more about arthritis and
what they can do to help themselves.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Okay, well, isn't it just a disease of aging that
just naturally happens just from your using your body for
over the years.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Well, truthfully, it's too many toxins and the liver leading
to liver being overwhelmed and resulting in inflamed joints, and
so it can be a disease of aging that's called osteoarthritis,
but it could be the result of trauma. If I
hit my thumb with a hammer and this joint swells,
(03:05):
I have arthritis in that particular joint, and with proper care,
the joint will heal and there will be no more
arthritis in my thumb. So the degenerate of ostia arthritis
is ostiorthritis, or is arthritis due to aging and the
wear and tear.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
You said something that I want to dig into a
little bit. You said that toxicity in the liver has
to do with arthritis. How does your liver have anything
to do with what's going on in your joints?
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Well, your liver controls all your muscles, all your tendons,
and the attachments two of those tendons to your joints.
And so when the liver gets overwhelmed with toxins, if
it's storehouses are the muscles, joints, and tendons, and it
starts to store those toxins that it's overwhelmed with in
the muscles, joints, and tendons, then you're going to get
(03:55):
inflammation of the joints. And you know, it's could affect
a person in a myriad of different ways. When we
get into some of the specifics of the four different
types of arthritis, then we'll appreciate how it could be
more than just inflammation of the joints.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
So I mean, I I mean, can anybody get arthritis?
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Yes, we all have the ability to develop arthritis because
we all have the ability to create too many toxins
in our liver and then we become inefficient with how
we process those toxins and they ultimately get deposited in
the muscles, joints, and tendons.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
But you said, if you hit your thumb with a
hammer and your joint swells. That's not is that toxicity
in your liver.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
No, that's an inflammatory response due to the trauma.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Okay, so that would be a totally different type of
arthritis than the kind of.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Well, it's a temporary arthritis because you have inflammation of
the joint because you hit it with a hammer. But
that's that has nothing to do with the toxicity in
your liver. So that will that will go away. I see,
So that's temporary.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
That's a temporary arthritis as opposed to a systemic arthritis.
At last, the.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Point that I was making is that the general term
arthritis is just simply means inflammation of a joint. It
doesn't tell you what's causing. It doesn't tell you what
type it is, It doesn't tell you where it is,
It doesn't tell you what the long term effects of
it is. Arthritis I've always said, is a garbage can
diagnosis because it's just one big bin that you can
throw a whole bunch of stuff in there and it
(05:29):
still qualifies as quote arthritis.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
And you said there are four different kinds of arthritis
that you might have, Yes, so what are the I mean,
does that mean that once you've got one of those
four types, that that's.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Going to last the rest of your life, well, possibly
if you don't remedy it appropriately. So we've talked about
degenerativasiti arthritis, which is just simply wear and tear due
to time and abuse. We have metabolic arthritis like having gout,
which is due to metabolication. We have inflammatory arthritis like rheumatoid,
(06:04):
and then we have infective arthritis due to an infection
of within the joint. And so there are five main categories.
There's degenerative, there's inflammatory, there's metabolic, there's traumatic, and then
there's infective.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Now are the signs for those different types the same
or are they different.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
The signs would be in flame joints with redness and
pain in the joint itself. Then there could be bone
to formation as a result of which makes hands and
fingers or feet and toes difficult to use in a
normal fashion, which in and of itself is painful and
not very fun.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Uh huh. So this osteoarthritis, which is kind of the
one that comes from aging, is that what happens when
things like your cartilage lose some of their elasticity.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Well, osteoarthritis can occur as a result of that. And
it's more than just a loss of the cartilage elasticity.
It's also the imbalance within the joint itself due to
the deposition of too many of the toxins due to
an overwhelmed liver and being absorbed by those tissues in
(07:17):
the area, causing the inflammation of the joint, which ultimately
over time leads to destructive bony changes.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
So the bony changes, that's not just calcium depositing. It
could be other things as well. You said it's toxins
that then get deposited.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
Right, and the body's response to those toxins like ana
toxin in the body, Like if it's in your tissues,
it's going to surround those toxins in a layer of
fat and lead to obesity or lead to a fatty
organ or deposits around the organs or glands or what
have you. And so if it's in the joint, then
the joint cartilage may slowly deteriorate, can potentially crack. You
(08:01):
can get tears within cartilage. And so the question is
is what's going on within that joint and how does
it relate to the liver and what is it that
the liver is having difficulty processing.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
But then there's a rheumatoid arthritis which is different, and.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
That one rheumatoidis is considered an autoimmune disease where the
body actually attacks the joints themselves, versus osteoarthritis is due
to just overuse and wear and tear.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
So it seems to me that I've been hearing different
ads for treating rheumatoid arthritis that also have to do
with other skin diseases. Is that something that there's a
relationship between what happens with things like psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Why are those things sometimes brought together? In terms of
(08:53):
the pharmaceuticals.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
Well, pharmaceuticals, they can find a medication that has more
than one application, and they're they will create more opportunity
for more sales because it's a medication that applies to
more than one system or applies to more than one condition,
and they may rebrand an aspect of it so that
(09:15):
they create two different products even though it's the same product.
But they're going to order this particular product is going
to be packaged in a way and it's going to
be marketed in a way that is for this specific condition,
and then there's going to take the exact same chemical formula,
package it differently, call it a different name, and market
it towards that other condition. And so at the end
(09:38):
of the day, all of these things have to do
with your filters, and your liver is one of the
primary internal filters. Your skin is one of the primary
external filters. But they're both filters, and so you can
have different conditions that impact both of those filters, and
(10:00):
they can be put under the same umbrella and called
one condition, or they can be parsed out because they're
in two different locations. They can be given two different
names and called two different things with two different treatments,
even though when you boil it all down, it's the
same problem just manifesting in a different part.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
So, yeah, the idea that your filters are getting clogged
up and that they have no way to do their
job right, so that now that they have to deposit
whatever is not being cleaned out somewhere on your body,
they're not going to necessarily deposit it in the organ itself.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Now the organ is already overwhelmed. So it's you know,
hiring a bunch of dump trucks to come in and
empty out some of the garbage and go bring it
to a dump site somewhere else in the body. That's
essentially what the livers performing as it's one of its jobs.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
And with rheumatoid arths, right, it's a lot of times
it causes deformities in your hands, your knuckles that people
can't use their hands very well.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
It does, and it destroys the use of the hands,
and it isn't fun to have, and it is the
the a lot of self loathing trapped within the hands
of what's going on within the person. What what what
the average listener needs to understand is there's there's so
much more below the surface of a condition than people
give credit to because everybody's just interested in putting a
(11:30):
name on things and then slapping on the medical solution
to whatever the name happens to be. When in reality,
when you develop liver toxicity and you have all sorts
of stuff going on and you're repressing emotion, you know,
you may be upset with yourself over a long period
(11:52):
of time because you're doing this particular job. You hate
the job, you don't like doing the job, but you
need the paycheck, you need the security that provides, but
you hate going to work every day and you hate
handling what you need to handle. I can just about
guarantee you that over time that person's going to develop
arthritis in their hands.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Well that's really fascinating because you know, part of how
you approach healing is to look at all the elements
to go into what causes a physical problem. Whereas a
lot of people think, well, if I have arthritis, it's
a physical manifestation, that's all that it is. It's just
(12:31):
the physical part that my joints are swollen, that my
hands are gnarly. But in reality, there's a lot more
that goes on. As you said, there's a lot more
underneath the surface.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Right, And so again that goes back to what the
whole foundation for why I practice the way that I practice,
And it's not about treating what is wrong with a person,
but it's a getting to the understanding of why they
have the problem. And when you address the why, the
what goes away. And until you address the why, what
you have is never going away, which is why some
medical conditions that are very common in our country, they
(13:04):
never get better. You don't solve heart disease. You don't
solve arthritis. You don't solve autoimmune disease. You don't solve diabetes,
you don't solve high blood pressure, you don't solve high cholesterol.
All of those things require you to take medication for
the rest of your life. And that's treating the effect,
that's not addressing the cause. And what I find absolutely
(13:26):
ridiculous is the fact that we've been dumping trillions and
trillions of dollars into understanding heart disease. They still don't
have any clue as to how to fix it. They
know how to medicate it, they know how to treat
some aspects of it symptom wise, but they're not doing
anything to solve it. You come into my office, I
(13:48):
can teach you within five minutes why a person has
heart disease and what little changes that they need to
make within their daily habits to make it all go away.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
So with it's the idea that you're going to be
able to address these different issues. Are there ways that
you can offer relief for somebody that has arthritis? I mean,
what about the short term of trying to get out
of pain?
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Short term is you can use cold water treatments and
physical therapy in the water to help rehabilitate the inflammation.
I also recommend specific supplements to help repair the joint
tissue and help to heal the tissue so that you're
not continually suffering and not addressing it closer to the
(14:38):
source in an effort to help restore normalcy and function
within the body. And I'm also going to sit down
and talk to the person about how they feel emotionally
with some of the things that they do in their
life that they have to do repetitively, and how they
feel about it. And when we start to help them
to take a look at how they feel about what
they're doing, then we can change the way that they
(14:59):
see things.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
So you offer supplements that I can take then and
add to my diet to supplement my diet. Is they're
more to the treatment than just doing that for my problem.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Well, yeah, we need to understand what is creating the
stress within the joint that's causing it to become inflamed,
and we need to trace that back to the relationship
primarily within the liver, but it could pull in and
involve the gallbladder and understanding, well, what are the things
that are irritating the liver gallbladder that ultimately lead to
the inflammation that causes the joint to have the issues
(15:37):
or the joints to have an issue. And what's their
emotional reality in terms of looking at their life or
looking at an aspect of their life that is leading
to the inflammation that they're experiencing in the arthritis.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
So why would the emotion lead to the arthritis and
why would it lead to the inflammation and the talks
and all these things that are seem to be compounded.
Why is what's the relationship between the emotions that you're
feeling and the physiological things that are happening to your body.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
Do you ever see somebody express anger? Yeah, what goes
on there and.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
They get red and angry and loud, And.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
How does that differ from the joint.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
So you're saying that what we see in the behavior
externalized and of an emotion isn't.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
Exactly the same thing being internalized. And if a person
knows if my mom grew up in a household where
the rule was children are to be seen but not heard, okay,
and then that migrated to if you don't have something
nice to say, don't say anything at all. But what
we don't understand is is what's that doing is that's
(16:50):
harming the individual from being able to express how they feel.
And if you're not allowed to express how you feel
because children are to be seen and not heard, or
if you don't have something nice to say, then keep
it to yourself. If you're not expressing how you feel,
that's going to lead to repressed liver functioning and that's
going to cause more inflammation, and that inflammation is going
(17:12):
to take effects somewhere. And if it takes effect in
the area that you're not expressing how you feel based
upon the actions that you do repetitively on a daily basis,
then you're going to develop a problem in whatever it
is that you're doing and the effects that it has
on your body physically.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
So the treatment that you have to protocol of the
treatment then has to include being able to find a
way to cycle through and actually treat the emotional state
as well.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
Have an outlet for your emotions, and that could be
through physical exercise. Well, I can't exercise because my joints
don't work well. Good, then we need to get you
to do some cold bath therapy to help stop the inflammation.
We need to feed you some good, high quality fish
oil to help stop the inflammation from the inside. And
once we get the inflam inimatory cycle to go down,
(18:01):
then we need to find a way to help you
be able to release what it is that you're feeling,
and that could be through physical exercise. But if the
person's not capable of that, well good. Let them do
some writing, let them do some singing, Let them do
some voice exercises to where they get to express how
it is that they feel. Let them sit in front
(18:23):
of a mirror and say all the things that they
want to say to the person that they're looking at
in the mirror. Because at the end of the day,
who do you think the person truly has a problem
with themselves?
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Right?
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Well, so being able to talk to yourself about how
you feel about yourself may help you stimulate the true
release of those feelings instead of repressing them.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Well, this is a fantastic conversation we're having here, Doc Greg.
We need to take short commercial break to hear from
our general sponsor, the Alternative Healthcare Network dot com. Let
me get back. I want to go into some more
this conversation on arthritis and what's going on with your liver?
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Absolutely, but please listen to this commercial from my generous sponsor.
You're listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network dot com.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
You are listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.
Speaker 6 (19:44):
So we're talking about the importance of the liver in
dealing with arthritis, which sounds like there's the problem is
is that your liver can't handle everything that's coming in
and the toxicity of that has to go somewhere, so
it ends up going into your joints.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
So what is the liver doing that It's not getting
what it needs and getting all of it done so
that this stuff has to deposit somewhere.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
Well, the liver has to do thousands of things. Every
single day. It processes everything that comes into the body
and carried to the liver through the bloodstream. And then
the liver has to figure out through its own level
of decision making as to what does it hold on to,
what does it let go of, where does it direct
the things that it's going to hold on to, and
(20:33):
how does it coordinate the plans, if you will, for
the body to use those materials to help heal and repair,
rebuild and manufacture hormones, etc. And so the liver does
thousands of things, and yeah, the liver is used. It
uses the joints as a storage site for the overflow
(20:56):
of all the crap the liver must contend with over time,
and failure to address the imbalance within the liver leads
to more joint inflammation over time. And all joint issues
relate to the liver because the liver controls all the muscles,
all the tendons, and all the joints. And the thing
(21:16):
that it's also fascinating is when the liver gets overburdened
with toxins and develops arthritis. What's the chief medical treatment
that's given for people with arthritis.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
I think pain relievers.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
Yeah, pain relievers and anti inflammatories and those kinds of things.
And where do those medications need to be processed.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Well, I know that from talking to you that they
go right NATH process in your liver.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
So might that contribute to the toxicity of the liver
if it's dealing with unnatural chemicals that are going to
be processed by the liver, might that contribute to the toxicity?
Speaker 1 (21:52):
Well, I think that that's part of the problem, is
that those complex chemical formulations are not easy for your
body to break down. They absorb some parts of it
that does some symptomatic relief for you, but then your
body still has to process it. It's not like you
hate a carrot. Your body can digest it and absorb
(22:13):
what you need from the carrot. Right, had those very
limited kinds of chemicals, it's probably you wouldn't want to
take other kinds of chemicals into your body.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
Right, And so the liver being more than just a filter.
It's primarily a filter, but it's also the processor of
emotions related to anger, indecision, irrationality, frustration, and aggression with
some overflow from the gallbladder, which is resentment. And well
(22:48):
I lost all them. So the ten emotions that affect
both the liver and the gallbladder that ultimately gets wrapped
up into people's arthritic issues that causes their joint inflammation
are the following ten emotions. There's anger, resentment, being pissed off, stubbornness,
emotional repression, depression, indecision, irrationality, frustration, and aggression. So if
(23:12):
you experience any of those emotions transiently or regularly, then
you're putting stress into your liver, and your liver is
going to have to do something in order to process that.
And some of the ways that we think about processing
those emotions ultimately leads to bigger problems. And so in
my office, we deal with everything at the source, and
(23:35):
by addressing the source, then the problem truly goes away.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
And so when I come into you and I have
a problem with arthritis, you immediately go to deal with
the things that affect my liver.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
Yeah, we're going to ask your liver all sorts of
questions related to how it's functioning and if it's not
functioning properly, what are the things that are contributing to it.
And we're gonna look at pathogens, We're gonna look at foods,
we're gonna look at chemical toxicities. We're gonna look at
heavy metals, We're gonna look at changes in physiology. We're
(24:11):
gonna look at is there any kind of nerve interference
which diregulates how the nervous system regulates the liver. We're
going to see if it's a problem that's feeding into
the liver or if it's the problem with the liver
trying to get rid of what it's been fed. So
we're just going to look at the whole liver and
all the ins and outs of it and all the
things that affect it and figure out what your specific
(24:33):
story is of your condition and what we need to
do to address it fully.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
Okay, so let's say I come in with a sprained
ankle which is causing my joints to swell. Is there
something about the way that you're going to address that
sprained ankle that has also to do with the toxicity
in my liver.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
Well, I'm gonna take a look at if you twisted
your ankle. There's a bone that sits right below your
shin bone, which is known as your tibia, and it's
held in place by the bone on the lateral aspect
of your ankle known as the fibula, and the bone
that sits below the tibia supported by the fibula is
called the talus. And so when one twists an ankle,
(25:16):
the talus bone, which sits above your heel bone, if
that subtly twists out of this normal position, that's going
to lead to the swelling in the ankle. Now, the
swelling in the ankle may or may not go away
fully based upon that talis not being in its proper position.
(25:38):
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to
adjust the ankle to put the talis back in his
normal position, and then the ankle will be able to heal. Now,
all the toxins, of all the dysfunction, and all the
repair that needs to go on ultimately is going to
be controlled. The main control center is going to be
(25:58):
the liver that helps the regular like that. But the
liver is not directly involved in the sprained ankle. It's
indirectly in result to how the body is going to
respond to having twisted an ankle.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
And then with the because when you treat somebody nutritionally,
you're using things that will help support that healing. You're
not going to be giving an anti inflammatory like what
you might take if you either over the counter by prescription.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
No, I would ask the person to use ice. I
would ask the person to use rice therapy, which is
rest ice, compression and elevation that will help to deal
with the inflammation of the ankle itself. But we're also
going to support them with maybe a ligaplex one and
or a ligaplex two, some collagen C and some which
(26:50):
is now called sea Synergy, and most likely a supplement
called biosed, which is a bone healing supplement, so that
we've addressed the bone weakness, the jets, the connective tissue weakness,
and with the liigaplex we're dealing with the ligamenous tissue issues.
And so those are the supplements that we would use
to help support the twisted ankle. And if the person
(27:15):
is elderly and they already have a lot of oarthritis
going on, then we're also going to probably give them
a supplement that will help to get the liver to
process things more efficiently by feeding the liver.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
So it's very interesting that even here in a what
I would go to the doctor or the er with
a sprained ankle, they're going to wrap it and they're
going to send me home. They would definitely suggest the
rice treatment to rest ice, compression and elevation. That would
be something they would definitely use. But these nutritional supplements
(27:48):
are something quite different, and you actually have ways to
help support the body nutritionally to come back into healing correct.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
And that's the thing. All health propro and we say
this every single show, but we'll say, let's say it again.
All health problems, all of them, every last one of them.
All health problems are nutritional deficiency, all of them. And
based upon the food that we eat and the way
(28:17):
that the Food and Drug Administration allows for things to
be sold and packaged and shipped all over the world
in whatever ways, and by the time you get it,
the nutritional value of that is probably not there anymore.
The difficulty is is if it comes in a package,
it's definitely not there anymore because there was no nutrition,
(28:39):
truly nutrition in there by the time it got packaged.
But what's the purpose of selling people packaged food? It
allows them to have some level of nutrition, not true nutrition,
but some level of things that you can eat that
the body has to process that the body will try
to use in an effort to help itself. And when
the body doesn't get enough of the right ingredients, whatever
(29:02):
those ingredients are, that's for a specific aspect of how
the body functions, you're going to get malfunction. And once
you get malfunctioned for a long enough period of time,
then you're going to develop symptoms and you're going to
develop disease. And all of it's based on lack of
proper ingredients position.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
And there's two things we're talking about. One is the
lack of the proper ingredients. But then we have this
excess of the toxic.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
Of the crap ingredients. Yes, and so that is one
of the things that Clauds deliver.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Even more so, you're juggling these two different aspects. One
is you need to be able to get the filter
to work properly right, and the other is you need
to support it nutritionally correct. So how do you determine
what you're going to be able to do for that
individual who comes into it, because you have said many
(29:52):
times that you treat each person as an individual.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
Right and depending upon what time of year they come
in will depend upon what it is that we use.
Because we use the Chinese five element theory of health.
In each particular season of the year comes with different
organs that are of importance. And the fact that we're
moving into the spring detox season, the natural question would be, well,
(30:16):
why do you detox in the spring. Well, that's because
the energy in the liver is highest, which is why
we're talking about the liver and arthritis and all of
those things. That is the time to create the greatest
amount of change within that internal filter that does all
the filtration of everything that comes into the body what
we called in a previous show Grand Central Station. So
(30:37):
with everything passing through the liver on its way to
where it ends up being whether it's excreted or whether
it's used, or whether it's stored, making sure that that
liver is functioning efficiently and taking all the stress out
of it is important. And the time of year that
we do that is the springtime, and the time of
year that we start that is the third week of
March and we run it through the first week of May,
(31:00):
and the month of April, which I'm sure we'll talk
about next month, is the month for detoxification, and we
offer a twenty three day program designed to clean out
all the toxins while feeding the body at the same
time to support the liver cleaning itself out while still
being able to process toxins all at the same time.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
That's what's so unusual is that you're doing both those
things at the same time. It's a simultaneous process that
you're feeding what is needed, but you're helping it extract
what is no longer serving it right.
Speaker 3 (31:37):
And by feeding it what it needs, then the liver
can let go of what it doesn't need because you
only have a certain number of car spaces in that
parking garage, and the time will come where a car
has to leave before a parking space will become available. Well,
if we get all the cars to leave at the
same time, then we can put back in new cars
(32:00):
and there'll be spots that are available. So in the
program that we use that was designed with me, specifically
with a Chinese herbalist thirty five years ago, we developed
a way and understood the ways of how the body functions,
and we developed this twenty three day program that's designed
(32:20):
for the first eleven days. Let me think about this,
so it's twenty three days. The first nine days is
used to help take the stress out of the liver.
The middle five days is about flushing the liver while
you're feeding it the whole time, and then the last
nine days are about replacing and setting the liver up
(32:45):
for success in terms of moving forward. So it's a
twenty three day program, nine days of eliminating or preparing
five days of eliminating all the toxins and all the filters,
not just the liver, about the kidneys, the spleen, the
large intestin, the lungs, and the skin. And then once
you've cleaned out all the toxins over the course of
(33:08):
five days, then you want to slowly reintroduce foods that's
going to help to support the health of the liver
and the rest of the body.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
Well, that's really important, and that's that's coming right up.
That detox program is going to come along now. One
of the things that happens is that for most of
us living our lives in this busy world, with all
the obligations that we have, the stresses that we have,
we're under a lot of stress. And that part of
(33:35):
what you're doing in your approach is to be able
to find ways of managing the stress. It's not that
you're necessarily going to eliminate the stress, because you know,
they're just things that we all live with.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
Life is stressful.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
Life is stressful, and sometimes stress is a good.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
Thing, right. You know, when you exercise the right way
and you're stressing your body out, your muscles get stronger.
But if you exercise is the wrong way, it's still
the same stress. It's going to create weakness or injury.
You know, if you stimulate your body the right way
with food, you get stronger. If you stimulate your body
the wrong way by eating the wrong things, you're going
to get weaker. So it's just a question of how
(34:14):
are you applying the stress, And my job is to
help teach you how to use stress to your advantage
as opposed to stress as a disadvantage because you don't
even know what you're doing that's creating the negative outcomes.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
And with these stress is not being handled correctly. We
talked about the fact that you can get osteoarthritis, which
may be in part from aging but also in usage.
But then rheumatoid arthritis, which has to do with having
toxicity in your.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
Blood right, and that's an autoimmune condition, and so it's
your body's basically attacking itself and you know, and then
there's the metabolic arthritis, like a thing called gout is
infective arthritis due to some kind of infection. And so
we got these different types of arthritis. All of them
(35:10):
point back to the health and function of your liver.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
I mean, when we were talking about the health of
your liver before, we were talking about things like jaundice,
which affect your eyes.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
Right. So one of the ways that we mentioned the
other day previous show, we talked about how jonnice is
a symptom of liver toxicity, and when the liver can't
process things appropriately, the products that the liver creates spill
(35:42):
over into the bloodstream and get circulated around and that
ultimately causes the whites of your eyes to turn yellow.
And so that's a direct indication because your eyes relate
to your liver. When you have a problem in your
eye health, then we want to take a look at
what's going on in your liver and what's not being
handled properly there that's causing the issue.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
Well, this is really really a valuable conversation we're having today,
doc Rick. We need to take a short commercial break
to hear from our sponsor, the Alternative Healthcare Network dot com.
Let me get back. I want to talk to you
a little bit more about arthritis, but also once again
to look into that natural detoxification program that you have
that's supervised so that you actually go through a process
(36:29):
and resolve issues that you might be having with your health.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Absolutely, but please listen to this commercial from a generous
sponsor or listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network dot com.
Speaker 5 (36:40):
Thery listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.
Speaker 3 (36:44):
If you're currently suffering from any health concern and you're
not getting the results you're looking for, please feel free
to call me directly at area code eight four to
five five six one two two two five again eight
four five five six one two two two five, where
you can email me directly at docric at spineboy dot com.
That's Doc Riick at spineboy dot com. And I look
(37:08):
forward to serving your health care needs naturally.
Speaker 5 (37:12):
You are listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
So we're talking so much about arthritis, and because it
plagues so many people in America, I wanted to ask
this question, which is is arthritis actually curable?
Speaker 3 (37:26):
Curable? Yeah, well, nothing in healthcare is curable because any
cure becomes outlawed as we can't upset the balance within
big pharma in terms of how it makes money off
of these conditions. So it's not legal to cure anything.
But you know, so there are things that can be
(37:47):
done to bring the body back into balance, and then
the condition of arthritis just seems to magically go away.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
Uh huh. So wonder the medications that are prescribed do
they actually have do reduce the inflammation and reduce the pain.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
Well, in one sense, they do, because that's what they're
designed to do, but since they got to be processed
in the liver, it's ultimately going to contribute to creating
more over time.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
So what are the side effects of these arthritis medications.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
Well, besides more arthritis, that depends upon the specific medication
that's being prescribed. And so my suggestion to everybody who's
on any medication at all, whether it's for arthritis, or
whether it's for headaches, or whether it's for tension in
the back. Google will tell you the side effects of
any medication if you choose to ask. My suggestion is
(38:46):
is to take your medication, type the name of the medication,
and I promise you one of the choices that you're
going to be given while you're typing. The medication is
going to be side effects of whatever it is that
you're typing. Click on that, read through that decide if
you're still interested in having that as an outcome of
(39:07):
what you're doing to quote help yourself, and then you
have the ammunition if you will, to go ask questions
to your healthcare practitioner about why they have you on
this medication because you're not interested in these side effects.
Speaker 1 (39:22):
So what are the natural ways to improve your arthritis
symptoms and take less of that medication.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Well, again, we have to figure out what's creating stress
within the liver. We have to address that stress. And
that stress can be coming from foods, It can be
coming from pathogens, it can be coming from chemicals, it
can be coming from heavy metals. So we need to
address the underlying why for the liver stress. And when
we address that and when we support the liver itself,
(39:53):
we may need to feed the liver. We may need
to feed the liver liver building foods we need to make.
We need to feed the liver detoxification foods. We may
need to feed deliver foods that are going to reduce
the amount of inflammation. But ultimately, at one point or another,
we're going to want you to consider doing a program
(40:16):
to help clean all the stress out of your liver
because just living life in the toxic world that we
live in, we live in a sea of toxins. We're
exposed to eighty six thousand different chemicals on a weekly basis,
of which less than twenty thousand of them are regulated,
and so we live in a sea of toxins. We're
going to develop the effects of those toxins, and when
(40:37):
you want to do something about it, my office offers
specifically all the understandings that you need as well as
a program we call the doctor Supervised Detox Program, And
you know, we're in that season right now and it
runs from last week all the way through the end
(40:58):
of the first week of June. So you have these
issues and you want to do something about it, I
would suggest that you get in contact with my office
so that we can do an evaluation to determine even
if it's appropriate for you.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
Yeah, this would be the time to do that. So
I mean, is this it sounds like I think twenty
three days. Is this detox program difficult to do?
Speaker 3 (41:27):
If you can follow directions, and if you can get
in front of the directions, meaning go do the shopping
that you need to get the ingredients that you need
in order to do the day properly. That's as hard
as it is if you have a good grocery store
that has the ingredients that you need, or you have
a health food store where you can get some of
(41:48):
the ancillary ingredients that you need. The program comes with
a manual. The manual tells you exactly what to do
every single day. As long as you can follow instructions
and you have the resources because you're read ahead a
few days and you went to the store and got
them and you've taken the time to prepare them, the
(42:09):
process itself isn't hard at all. You just have to
follow the instructions and every day the program, the manual
tells you exactly what you're going to be doing that day.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
Now it is everything you're doing just gonna be around
the food that you're eating.
Speaker 3 (42:23):
Nope, we do food stuff obviously, we're drinking detoxification shakes,
we're taking hot water baths, we're doing facial steams, we're
doing potentially almost like a brushing of the skin So
(42:45):
the program itself, there's light exercise involved, there's journaling, there's meditation.
It's a holistic, whole body detoxification program that's a total
of twenty three days long, and it works with your
body natural processes to support the body and doing what
the body is designed to do without stressing the body
(43:08):
out in the process.
Speaker 1 (43:09):
So why would this be better or different than say,
just doing a cleansing the fast.
Speaker 3 (43:17):
Well, the fast is going to take the stress out
of the liver, but it's not going to cleanse the liver.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
So you're just stopping adding more stress.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
Yeah, but you haven't done anything to actually fix the
reason why you would be doing a fast. Okay, and
other types of fast, like they have juice fasts out there,
that doesn't give the liver the ingredients that it needs
in order to support the phase one in phase two
detox pathways that need to be supported in order to
(43:46):
clean out in order to truly detoxify the liver.
Speaker 1 (43:51):
Now, what a healthy person, somebody who's ostensibly doesn't have
arthritis or something along those lines, would they benefit from
doing a doctor's supervised detox program.
Speaker 3 (44:01):
Honestly, everybody that lives on the planet would benefit from
it if they've never done it before, just simply because
and I appreciate somebody that's in their seventies or even
in their eighties, and I have patients that I'm aware
of that are over the age of one hundred, and
you know, it's it's it's more about quality than it
(44:24):
is about quantity. But if you're going to have quantity
of length of life, you want it to be quality.
You don't want to suffer the last twenty years of
your life. You want to make sure that doesn't happen.
And so I did my detox the first time before
I introduced it to my practice base because I needed
to know what they were going to experience so that
(44:44):
I could answer their questions based upon my previous experience.
And the first time I did my program, I lost
twenty three pounds.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
So is this gonna that's kind of a cool thing
if a lot of people want to lose weight, would
be something you could count on.
Speaker 3 (45:00):
At the end of the day. Possibly it's not designed
to help you lose weight, but when you start to clean,
the filter's efficiency and your body dumps what it doesn't
need because it wasn't able to do it before. Then
the weight loss might be a happy side effect, but
it's not designed to help you lose weight. The second
time I did my program, I didn't lose any weight
at all.
Speaker 1 (45:21):
Okay, so it's not necessarily a weight loss solution. So
what about hunger? Are you going to be hungry while
you do this?
Speaker 3 (45:29):
I've never had anybody over the last twenty five thirty
years tell me that they've had issues with being hungry
simply because you're always eating or drinking something throughout the
course of the day.
Speaker 1 (45:42):
Uh huh. Now, there are supplemental things that you're eating.
It's not just I mean, it's certainly different than your
regular diet, right.
Speaker 3 (45:51):
Right, Well, what you've done initially is you've taken all
the toxic foods out of your diet the first nine days, Okay.
Then when your deliver has been ready and you've you're
ready for a purge, then you purge the liver for
five days, and then after you've purged the liver, then
you gradually reintroduce food. But the whole time you're doing
this program, there's a specific shake that you're going to
(46:14):
drink several times a day, depending upon what phase in
the program you are. The instructions within the manual tells
you exactly when you're drinking and when you're eating and
what you're eating, and gives you the options of how
to modify things subtly. But all of that is predicated
on you coming in and us doing an evaluation of
(46:35):
you to determine if it's appropriate. And I'll be honest
with you, it's always appropriate.
Speaker 1 (46:40):
Now, one of the things that you might feel is
you might feel deprived because you're not getting the kind
of foods that you're used to. How do you deal
with that?
Speaker 3 (46:50):
You're not going to trust me, You're not going to
feel deprived because of what it is that you're doing
and how it is that you're doing. And if you're
on point, you're following the program itself. The program isn't
and give you time to even think that you're being deprived.
The program is going to be moving on to what's next?
Do I have it? How long before I actually start
to put that into my pie hole? And what comes
(47:11):
after that? And you know, preparing your day every day
with everything that you need by keeping the manual close
and reading ahead so that you can get the ingredients
before you need them, so that you have them when
you do.
Speaker 1 (47:23):
So, if you're doing this program, are you going to
be able to continue with your normal life that you
go to your job and take care of the kids.
Speaker 3 (47:34):
But yeah, I mean at the end of the day,
there's going to be some preparation. But I'll be honest
with you, there was a day, there was a year
that I did my program where I was in the
middle part of the detox. I was up in Montreal
for a four day formula one weekend, and I brought
all the products that I needed, all the food that
(47:55):
I needed, and I kept it in a cooler and
I brought it with me. So when I'm sitting at
the track and all my brother and his friends are
sitting there cracking beers and throwing the beers back, I'm
mixing up my drinks and that's what I'm drinking. And
it's you know again, it comes back to you being
committed to yourself. Nobody's telling you you have to do this.
(48:16):
You're the one who decides if it's time for you
to turn the page on all your health problems and
you want to do something to truly take your health back.
And this is a wonderful program, which is why we
designed it thirty some odd years ago, and it's just
it's helped so many people, and it's I'm just reminded
(48:40):
of this one woman who came into my office and
I you know, she went through the whole program and
I didn't hear from her the whole time. She didn't
ask for any input, nothing, she just followed the program.
And when she came in afterwards, because we have people
come back so that we can do an evaluation to
see if we need to reset anything due to the
stress of the program, and I said, so, how did
(49:01):
it go, She's like, Doctor on tune, I'm really upset
with you. And I'm like, why are you upset with me?
She said, If I knew I was going to get
that angry doing your program, I probably would have said no.
I said, well, how do you feel now? I feel amazing,
But I wasn't comfortable getting that angry. And I'm like, well,
that's the chief emotion of cleaning out your liver. The
(49:23):
chief emotion that your liver helps to manifest when it's
not in balance is anger. So I'm glad it came
to the service. I'm glad you transformed it out of you.
I'm sorry you went through that. But the only way
out of any situation is to go through it. You know,
if God will leads you to it, God will leads
you through it. And it's just a question of your faith.
And I'm glad that you had the faith to do
(49:44):
the program, and I'm glad that you went through it,
and I'm glad you're on the other side of it.
And I'm sorry that confronting yourself and all the ways
that you've dealt with your past life was anger provoking,
but definitely in a bea or positioned since they did
the program, well.
Speaker 1 (50:02):
I guess so it could be a challenge to go
through this program. It's not necessarily it's.
Speaker 3 (50:08):
Not going to be a walk in the park. Why
because you're doing something different, but you're doing something to
help yourself, and because you're helping yourself, the good things
are going to be coming. But you may have a
dark knight of the soul, so to speak, in order
to get there, and it's worth going through that dark
knight in order to get out the other side to
where your body's literally been transformed from what it was
(50:31):
to what it is.
Speaker 1 (50:32):
So what kind of support do you offer when somebody
is going through that dark night and is having maybe
a big challenge with the emotional journey.
Speaker 3 (50:40):
Pick up the phone and call me. We need you
to come in in order to help you through whatever
it is that you're dealing with emotionally. We have tools
in which to do that. At the end of the day,
it's a doctor supervised detox program. So any input, any advice,
any help, any support, any verbiage that you need, just
pick up the phone and call me. You're stopping to
the office and will address whatever needs to be addressed.
Speaker 1 (51:02):
So the supervision is not just simply oh, I've determined
what it is you need. It is actually an ongoing
capability that if you need some kind of advice or help,
you're there, and.
Speaker 3 (51:15):
Even when you're done, there's a follow up to make
sure that everything is working the way that it's supposed
to work. So it's a hands on program. Some people
don't need the hands on and some people do, and
the ones that do, I'm happy to give them the
hands on. And the ones who are pretty self sufficient
and know how to follow directions and don't really aren't
(51:35):
the type of people that ask questions. Over the course
of the program. They may be somebody who now starts
to ask questions because as we're helping the body detoxify
well good, then that may open up pathways that have
been shut down and suppressed.
Speaker 1 (51:50):
Well. This has been an inspiring conversation, Doc Greg, and
I'm sure that there are people out there who are
now a bit more curious about what this process could
mean for them if they have arthritis or they have
any other health issue, and they may want to consider
doing a detalk program. What are the best ways to
reach out to you?
Speaker 3 (52:07):
Best way to get a hold of me would be
to call my cell phone directly, which is area code
eight four to five five six one two two two
five again eight four to five five six one two
two two five. Please call and leave a message with
your phone number and I will call you back. That's
not an issue. If you want to text that phone,
(52:28):
it probably take me a little bit longer to get
back to you because the way that I was raised
and the way that I've conducted myself my whole adult life,
I'm not really a text person, but I'm trying to
integrate a little bit more of that into my life.
If you want to text me, it's probably better for
you to email me. I'm constantly checking my email, I'm
constantly answering emails all the time. But ultimately, at the
(52:53):
end of the day, we're going to invite you in
for a conversation so that we can do an evaluation
to determine if this program's best for you and give
you the manual and and help you get the products
and answer all your questions. So I hope this show
has inspired some of you listening. Ideally, I'd like it
to inspire all of you to take better care of yourselves,
(53:13):
and if you want to do this program, reach out
to me. If if not, I want to thank you
so much, Mark, thank you for helping guide us through
this particular show, and thank you the listener for tuning in.
I'd ask you to tune back in next week, same
health time, same health station. This is doctor Richard on
tune from Advanced Alternative Medicine Center, saying I look forward
(53:35):
to supporting you when you're health matters.
Speaker 2 (53:40):
Thanks being my physician, he said, you're definitely ill.
Speaker 3 (53:44):
Thanks the nurse.
Speaker 2 (53:45):
I've seen worse for the doctor just gave me a
pill to take one of those three times today. Don't
ever stop until you're dirtly dead or almost better keep
out of the reach of children. I thinks that might
be some side effect, probably will well, limits of fight.
Just come back and I'll give you another film. On
top of that, on top of that, on top of that,
(54:05):
on top of that, on top of that, on top
of that. And then he showed me his bill. I
pupped another pillar head out of their headache has become
a pain in the butt. What was just a lichy finger,
now is the swollen foot, Doctor ripe an out of breath.
And I've never walked up a hill, avoid all died
(54:28):
from exercise. I'd rather give you a pill. The thing
is that some side effect being that probably will Weliver's
a fact. Just come back and I'll give you one
other pill on top of that, on top of that,
on top of that, on top of that, on top
of that, on top of that, and then he showed
me his bill.
Speaker 3 (54:46):
I popped another pill.
