Speaker 1 (00:04):
Be my physician.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
He said, you're definitely ill. Sand to the nurse. I've
seen worse than the doctor.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Just gave me a pill.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Take one of those three times today. You don't never
stop on till you're dearly dinner.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Awful.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Better keep out of the reach of children. The thing
has been some side effects, you mean probably will well.
Limits of fact, you can't come. I'll give you one
out of the film. On top of that, on top
of that, on top of that, on top of that,
on top of that, on top of that, and then
he showed me his bill.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
I popped another pill.

Speaker 4 (00:36):

Advanced Alternative Medicine Center. And here's my partner for the show,
your health Advocate Mark.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
So Nick, it's great to be back again this week.
And I wanted to have a conversation. We've been talking
about things. Last week. We were talking about the role
that faith plays in healing. I wanted to talk to
you today about energy. And that's a term that in
Chinese is called chi. But it's one of those terms

(02:02):
that people really have a hard tunter to getting their
head around. So what is this idea of chi or
life force energy?

Speaker 6 (02:12):
It is as chi translates to energy or life force,
that's just what it is. So chi translates to energy
or life force in the Asian world.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Is that something everybody has? Is it something special? Do
you have to develop it?

Speaker 6 (02:32):
Well, yes, and yes. We are born with chi that
is inherent to the being and the body. And we
develop energy through our lifestyle and how we live our lives,
the food we eat, the company we keep. It's all
energy and there is an exchange of energy between the
person and their environment. And hopefully it's done synergistically, and

(02:55):
sometimes it's not done so synergistically, and that's where accidents
and injuries happen.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
I mean, because it gets to be such a confusing
term because is it one thing? Is it different types
of energy?

Speaker 6 (03:10):
Well, the energy is that that is equated with the
the Chinese word chiu. It is the life force. It's
the balance of electrons held within the atoms, as atoms
come together to form the physical matter.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
And what is the significance of that In Chinese traditional medicine.

Speaker 6 (03:31):
Basically, it's the life force or is the energy flow,
and it's the energy flow being balanced or out of
balance that leads to physical ailments or living in harmony
with your environment and everything. Within the Asian culture from
that part of the world, they developed some interesting methods

(03:54):
of balancing the energy through a discipline known as feng shui.
That's where you set up the environment that you live
in or that you work in, or that you spend
time in to be in balance and within flow and
within harmony. And hopefully if your home or your office

(04:15):
is set up with good feng shui, then being in
that office just allows for you to be more in
flow with the energy of whatever it is that you're
working on kind of thing or sleeping or eating, or
just living within the environment.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Yeah, I mean, we've talked about there's a five element theory,
so that seems to have to do with that flow
you're talking about out there.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
Yeah, there is the five elements. If we start with
the water element, which then flows into the wood element,
which then flows into the fire element, and then into
the earth element, and then the metal element back into
the water element, we have a natural flow that goes
from the kidney bladder into the liver gall bladder into
the small test and heart, into the stomach spleen pancreas,

(05:05):
into the lungs, large intestine, et cetera.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
And so.

Speaker 6 (05:09):
There is that natural productive flow which goes around the
outside of the five elements.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Uh, and then we.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Have a It's kind of like how water nourishes wood
right in the woods. What do you feed the fire?
And then that that turns back into ash or to
an earth earth material?

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Correct.

Speaker 6 (05:31):
And so when you have all of that, that's the
productive flow of energy. And then we have the destructive flows.
So water does what to fire?

Speaker 3 (05:40):
It?

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Right?

Speaker 6 (05:42):
So the water element will attack the fire element. What
does fire do to metal? It melts it, right, So
the the fire element will melt the metal element. What
does metal do to wood? Chops it like an ax? Okay,
So the metal element can attack the wood element. And

(06:05):
what does the wood element do to earth?

Speaker 3 (06:07):
It digs into it and it draws out of right.

Speaker 6 (06:10):
It pulls from it, Okay, so it makes lesser of
that okay.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
And then what does earth do to water?

Speaker 3 (06:17):
It can create a dam for.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
Instance, right, or it can soak it up.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (06:22):
So you have the productive outer flow water, wood, fire, earth, metal,
and then you have the destructive which goes from metal
to wood, wood to earth, earth to water, water to fire,
and fire to metal. So you have those relationships both
productively and destructively, and understanding those relationships and learning how

(06:49):
to work with them to produce whatever result it is
that you're trying to produce is important. And so the
people seven thousand years ago that lived over in that
part of the world spent a lot of time observing
life for it being what it is, and they developed
a very successful population of people by living in harmony

(07:10):
with their environment. And you know, there's two largest populations
on the planet, whether you're the Chinese population or whether
you're the population from India.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Yeah, and it's interesting that that flow would be really
that's the chie that's the energy moving from wood to fire,
from fire into.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Right, and so.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
Their understanding of that life force that passes through everything.
And I guess it's interesting because you practice and teach
a particular discipline of tai chi, and having been a
student of yours a number of years ago, and you
demonstrating to me the difference in subtlety in terms of

(07:56):
position where one is really grounded in solid versus just
moving an infinitesimal amount throws the whole thing in the
crapper was fascinating for me to experience, and was even
more fascinating for me to understand that you could see
that and you could pick up on the fact that no,
I think I'm duplicating your position exactly because I'm very

(08:20):
good at mimicking my environment. And you were like, no,
you're just a subtle difference off and you knocked me
over with no effort at all. And so understanding energy flow,
and you know, there's there's interesting shoes that have recently
come out that it's kind of a variation of a
shoe that I've worn for over twenty years, and these

(08:41):
are called earthing shoes or grounding shoes, and it's we're
all talking now. There's more and more understandings of you know,
I got a patient friend of mine who bought these
grounding sheets and says that his health has been transformed
by sleeping on these sheets every night. And there's a
part of me that just can't wrap my head around
running a circuit of energy from your traditional energy supplier

(09:06):
through your sheets and you're sleeping on that and that's
going to make you feel better.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
But there's a.

Speaker 6 (09:11):
Lot of evidence out there that it is helpful. So
we got energy of that, we got the energy of
walking barefoot.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
We've got you know, the energy.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
Exchange between us when we eat food, the energy exchanged
between our carbon dioxide and it being the plant the
food for the plants, and then the plants produce oxygen
as their waste product, which is the food for us.
And the symbiosis that goes on there and so energy
can be created nor destroyed, it simply changes form. And

(09:43):
so for us as human beings to continue to delve
into that understanding and how to harness the power of
that energy and directed in ways that allows us to
be creative and to be manifestors of different outcomes by
harnessing the energy, et cetera. It's just fascinating to be
alive at this time and to have the levels of

(10:04):
understanding that we have and we don't even know that
we're just scratching the surface.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Right, I mean, and I guess part of what you
do as a holistic health practitioner is help people revitalize
that energy or keep that energy being vital. And is
that something that you can improve your energy or is
your energy you're born with that that's what you got.

Speaker 6 (10:27):
Well, you have two types of energy. You have the
chia that you're born with. Okay, that's your inherent born energy. Okay,
that's the vital chia that you come with. And then
there's the energy that you produce and you acquire and
you exchange, okay, And the way that you exchange that energy,
whether it's being in balanced or being out of balance,

(10:48):
has an effect on the energy that you were born with.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
And when you run out.

Speaker 6 (10:52):
Of that energy, that's said, So that's when you stop
living in that body, okay. And so you can accelerate
your aging process or you can slow your aging process
based upon the level of balance and harmony that you
live in. And if you're a subscriber of the Bible,
and I happen to be one of those subscribers, but

(11:14):
there's aspects of it that I'm still trying to wrap
my head around. You look at how long the Book
of Genesis talks about how long Moses and Noah lived,
and they both lived in excess of nine hundred fifty
plus years, and it's just like, okay, hmm. And what
I know about the human body is when you live

(11:34):
in balance and you live in harmony, then you don't
age as fast as people who live very destructive, difficult lives.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
And so my wife had.

Speaker 6 (11:44):
The experience at my thirty year high school reunion as
we're walking back to the car, and I said, did
you have a good time? And she was like that
was really interesting and I was like, well, what was
interesting about it? And she was like, you graduated with
all those people And I said, well, not all of them,
but the ones we sat around that big table and
reminisced about. I graduated with all those people. And she's like,

(12:05):
you must feel pretty good about yourself. And I'm like, well,
why is that. She's like, there were some old people
in that room, even though we were all the same age,
and it's like, yeah, I'm sixty years old, but I
know people who are sixty years old that looks twenty
years older than I do.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Yeah. I look back at pictures of people sixty years old,
like in my grandparents' age, in their time of life,
and they seem so much older than a sixty year
old seems to me today.

Speaker 6 (12:33):
Right, And that's because we are becoming more in balance
and understanding how to live in nature as opposed to
trying to control nature m HM. And so our lives
are being extended, our understandings of how to feed the body,
even though the FDA is bucking up against that in

(12:53):
an effort to make profit.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
But at the end of the day.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
If we live in harmony with nature, then we won't
have any of the problems that we spend a lot
of time battling with today.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
But that has to do with the.

Speaker 6 (13:07):
Insecurities of humanity in terms of trying to have dominion
over something that we just need to live in harmony with.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Well, I mean there's something I know we've talked about
this idea of epigenetics and that the environmental factors have
a big effect on things like longevity and in terms
of that kind of thing, So how does that work
within the context of energy.

Speaker 6 (13:31):
Well, giving people the understanding of how you just arrived
at that word epigenetics, I know you understand that. But
for our audience members, everybody thinks that we're all genetic
material and our DNA and this then we have our genes,
and our genes have the final say in terms of
how our body develops.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
And it's if you.

Speaker 6 (13:50):
Know that the healthcare industry tries to capitalize on that
and says, well, if your parents have these particular genes
and develop this particular problem, then we should start testing
you to see if you have the same genes. Of
course you have the same genes, Okay, are they active
the same way and are you going to develop? And
at the end of the day, has nothing to do
with our genes. It has to do with what you mentioned,

(14:12):
which is the epigenetics. And it's the epigenetics, it's our environment,
it's our belief system, it's our habits, it's our behaviors
that either cause a gene to turn on and become
active or turn a gene off and make it inactive.
That determines how the body ultimately ends up expressing itself.
So our epigenetics, made up again of our environment, are

(14:36):
our belief system, how we stimulate ourselves, etc. That's what
dictates the longevity that we have or the disease states
that we manifest.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Well, I mean, I know that you have done a
lot in terms of your process of supplying yourself with
the necessary ingredients to keep your health and balance. But
the patients who come to see you aren't necessarily coming
from that long history of using that kind of method

(15:07):
to keep their own health up. So they may come
to you and their health is not in the same
condition that yours is, right, so they're going to need
to be able to bring their health into balance. So
how do you help support somebody support that energetic shift.

Speaker 6 (15:22):
Well, I try to find out what their belief system is,
and I try to find out where the edges of
that belief system is. And then what I try to
do is I try to introduce topics and concepts and
understandings that is a little bit outside of their current
level of understanding, to expand that understanding, to encompass a
new way of thinking that will allow their body to

(15:42):
produce a new level of outcome that's more in line
with what they would like to have versus what they
find themselves having, which is what brought them into my office.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Are there relatively simple things you can do that increase
your energy?

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Oh? Absolutely so.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
What would be a good example of something that I
could do that would help me just feel like I've
got more energy that I'm not feeling maybe I'm feeling
lethargic when I wake up in the morning. What are
the things that would be in a general sense that
I could do.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Eat living food.

Speaker 6 (16:18):
Eat food that is as close to fresh and just picked,
just harvested, just juiced whatever. Eat it as close to
as fresh as you possibly can. Because in a piece
of fruit that is still attached to the tree, that
is growing from it's got one hundred percent of its

(16:42):
energetic value. The second you pick it off the tree,
it starts to lose its energetic value. So the sooner
you can eat of food that's fresh, the more energy
that you're going to be exchanging with that food that
is going to feed your body, nourish your body to
have the highest level of energy possible when you're eating

(17:05):
food that has been processed in such a way that
takes the life force out of that food.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
I'll give you a simple example. Bleached flour is dead food.

Speaker 6 (17:20):
That bleached flour came from a grain. That grain has
three main ingredients. It has the brand, which is the
outer covering the fibery part. It's got the starch, which
is the sugary part.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
And it's got the.

Speaker 6 (17:38):
Germ, which is the nutritional part that actually, if you germinate,
it will turn into the plant that comes out of
that germ. Okay, So when they started milling flour, milling
grain in the flour, they mild, the whole thing comes

(18:01):
out looking brownish, different tones of brown depending upon the
different levels of bran in. So they would take the
bran off, they would take the germ off because that's
the part that would spoil and that would change the
taste of the flour. So the only thing that's left
is the starch. And the starch, by nature, is going

(18:23):
to be light brown. But light brown looks like it's impure.
So what did they do to purify it? They bleached it.
And in the process of bleaching it and turning it
completely white, they destroyed all the nutrition in it. Now
you consume that in your baked goods, and what is

(18:44):
it that you're doing. You're creating nutritional deficiencies because you're
eating food that's been stripped of its nutrition. You're not
getting any nutrition from that, and then your body is
robbing from Peter to pay Paul and fighting amongst itself
and creating inflammation as a result of that nutritional deficiency.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Wow, this is this is important part of our conversation,
Doc Gric. We need to take a short commercial break
to hear from our generous sponsor, the Alternative Healthcare Network
dot Com. When we get back, I'm going to talk
to you more about how these things like eating healthy
food can help improve your energy.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Absolutely.

Speaker 6 (19:21):
But please listen to this commercial from our generous sponsor.
You're listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network dot com.

Speaker 5 (19:28):
You're listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.

Speaker 6 (19:32):
If you're currently suffering from any health concern and you're
not getting the results you're looking for, please feel free
to call me directly at area code eight four five
five six one two two two five again eight four
five five six one two two two five, or you
can email me directly at Doc gric at spineboy dot com.
That's Doc ri c K at spine boy dot com,

(19:56):
and I look forward to serving your healthcare needs naturally
to the Alternative Healthcare Network.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
So the depletion of our food, which we were talking
about before the break, seems to be one of the
factors that's leading people to lose the healthiness that we're
all striving to have.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Yeah, you're losing your longevity.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
And so once you've lost your health, how does being
sick start to How does that affect your energy?

Speaker 6 (20:26):
Well, at the end of the day, you have to
lose sixty percent of normal functioning to have a symptom
of any kind of imbalance or sickness. And so when
your body is functioning at forty percent or less than ideal,
that's when a condition manifests and that's going to start
to zap your energy. I mean, it's been zapping your

(20:48):
energy all along, but it's going to be you're going
to be more aware of the fact that it's zapping
your energy just simply because you're not going to have
a lot of energy. When a person has a health problem,
their energy he typically gets zapped due to the fact
that it's feeding the health problem instead of feeding the person.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
And so.

Speaker 6 (21:10):
When I start to help a person restore balance and
harmony to their overall energy, their vital chi of the body,
the quickest and easiest way that I can do that
is to start to feed the body the ingredients that
the body is lacking, and we do that with whole
food supplements.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
So this is one of the reasons that you state
all the time that really all health conditions are nutritional
deficiency disease.

Speaker 6 (21:40):
Right, because if you have the ingredients that the body
needs to maintain normal functioning, then the body will continue
to function and run very well for a very long time.
It's no different from your car. If you put crap
gas in your car, how does the car run it?

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Right?

Speaker 6 (21:58):
And if you put quality gas in the car and
you maintain all the other fluids that need to be maintained.
Because all the fluids need to be maintained properly, then
the car hums along very very well for a very
very very long time.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
You know.

Speaker 6 (22:14):
There are cars out there that last longer than there's
cars that have been around since the nineteen twenties that
are still running and running very well. There are one
hundred year old cars, you know, and it's just like, okay, well,
if you take care of it, it'll continue to run well.
Same thing with your body. If you take care of it,
it will continue to run. And the fuel for the body,

(22:37):
just like the fuel for the car, happens to be
good quality food. And when you're trying to feed a
nation and you're trying to make sure that everybody has
the food, and you've got these farmers that are growing
lots of crops, and thank you so much, farmers for
doing the work that you do. It's a hell of
a life that you lead. And we appreciate you. I know,

(22:59):
I appreciate you for the work that you do and
the food that you provide for the country. But when
the food manufacturers takes that food and bastardizes it in
a way to change the nature aspect of it into
something that has a long shelf life. Then they have
to take out the vital ingredients that are going to

(23:20):
spoil over time, and they replace it with artificial colors,
flavors and enhancements, etc. And so you're not really getting
what nature intended for you to get. And then you
put that in your body in hopes of extracting the
nutrition that's going to keep the body running and keep
the body healthy, but you're not eating something that is healthy.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
It takes life to promote life really as well, yeah,
I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (23:47):
And so the closer you can get your food from
its life source, the more life you're going.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
To get out of that food.

Speaker 6 (23:58):
You know, if we go hug a tree and just
sit at the base of a tree, we will have
all the oxygen we will ever need for the rest
of our lives. Because what does the tree produce as
a waste product.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
It's taking our carbon acid and turning it into oxygen, right.

Speaker 6 (24:17):
And then we take that oxygen and turn it into
carbon dioxide. And we need to understand the dynamic of
that relationship and how important it is and how we
should respect it, you know, and what allows the trees
to function.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
Well, I mean obviously sunlight and all the things that
are here that keep things alive. Right.

Speaker 6 (24:38):
What is the purpose of plant producing some sort of flowering.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Well, that's what causes it to produce its fruit.

Speaker 6 (24:48):
Right, that's its reproductive system, okay. And what helps to
facilitate that reproduction would be.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
Bees that are pollinators. Okay.

Speaker 6 (24:57):
And if we change nature in society so much that
we start to lose bees, when the bees are done, we're.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
Done, right, because then.

Speaker 6 (25:08):
The pollination won't occur anymore. And if the pollination doesn't
occur anymore, then the facilitation of tree life and plant
life to produce oxygen for human beings goes away. We're done.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
It is that synergistic quality that we have in the
way the earth.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Works, and we need to respect that.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
We need to respect.

Speaker 6 (25:30):
That and taking that and applying that to the human body.
And how do we restore balance within the human body,
And what do we do to feed the body what
it needs to maintain that balance. Where physical beings in
a physical world, we're going to develop physical problems. But
if you develop a physical problem, a chiropractor who restores

(25:52):
proper physical alignment and removes the interference within the nervous
system to allow the nervous system to continue to facilacilitate
healthy outcomes. There's nothing more important than that, but hand
and glove in that relationship is making sure that you
have somebody that can also give you the necessary nutrition

(26:13):
to support the body still running and to support it
to clean out its garbage or detoxify appropriately. So there's
a lot of facets that go into what it takes
to maintain a healthy body and to support the maintenance
of that body. And having somebody such as myself who

(26:35):
has a well rounded holistic approach to looking at the
body physically, chemically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, etc. Having that level
of understanding and having tools in which to facilitate change
when somebody goes out of balance is what I do
for a living and what I love to do for

(26:55):
a living. And anytime I can help a person on
any level of what they're interested in, I will always
offer them more opportunity than what they may have come
in for, and it's entirely up for them to decide
if they're ready to do that or not. If they're
not ready, no harm, no foul. If they are ready,
good strap on because we're going to go for a

(27:16):
wild ride and we're going to transform everything about your
life because that's what you're here to have done.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
So we're talking about the energy and the way the
energy flows through the body. So in what you're describing,
are you facilitating the freedom of that energy to move
through the body? Is that?

Speaker 6 (27:37):
Yeah, I'm both facilitating the flow of energy and I'm
removing any places that there might be interference.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
And what causes that interference.

Speaker 6 (27:48):
A life incongruence, disagreement, your disagreement with what you're thinking
versus what you're doing. Okay, that will always create neck problems.
When what you're thinking is out of balance with what
you're doing. You do all your thinking in your head.

(28:08):
You do all you're doing in central part of your body,
and the thing that connects your head to your central
part of your body is your neck. When there's an
incongruence between what you're thinking versus what you're doing, you're
going to have neck issues. When there's an incongruence between
what you're doing and understanding how to put that doing
into motion, that's going to create low back issues. And

(28:32):
so when you understand how the body stores or interferes
with or blocks or doesn't allow the flow of energy
to flow.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
The way that it's supposed to.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
And you have tools and methods in which to release
the blockages and restore the body back into flow. And
that's when a body returns to health. And that's essentially
what I do. The Asian part of the world, what
we can even talk about specifically traditional Chinese medicine, they
learned about the energy channels that flow through the body

(29:05):
that are known as meridians, and the meridians are made
up of a bunch of different points that are called
acupuncture points. And each organ of the body, in each
land of the body has the meridian associated with it. So,
for instance, if we look at the gallbladder, because the
gallbladder is central to just about everything within the body, Okay,

(29:26):
the gallbladder meridian starts right at the outer corner edge
of your eye on both sides, and then it makes
three four courses back and forth across the side of
the head before it goes down through the neck through
the central part of your body, encompassing your digestive system,

(29:50):
goes down your thigh, through the center part of your knee,
all the way down to your foot and out your
second to last toe. That's where that energy circuit flows.
So anywhere upon that circuit where the energy is being
interfered with, if it's the upper part of the circuit,
you'll get headaches, If it's the middle part of the circuit,

(30:13):
you'll get digestive upset. If it's the lower part of
the circuit, you'll probably get knee problems. And so when
I look at a person, you're not a headache, You're
not a digestive upset, You're not a knee problem. You're
a person who has that. And if I want to
facilitate the greatest amount of changes that I can within
that imbalance that you have, then I'm going to go

(30:36):
to the source of the energy circuit that we know
is out of balance causing you to have your symptoms.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
And so is that I mean, I know that initially
you got your degree as a chiropractor. So is that
simply a structural thing that you do to help put
somebody back into alignment so that everything's flowing.

Speaker 6 (30:59):
Well, All things flow through your nervous system, flows from
the brain through your spinal cord out through your spinal
nerves to all the different cells tissues and organs and
systems within your body. So the life force, if we
can get back to that, that flows through the body,

(31:20):
flows through the nervous system. So any interference within that
is going to have a negative consequential effect on wherever
that energy is supposed to be going.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
So, if a.

Speaker 6 (31:31):
Person has some kind of heart irregularity or some kind
of lung irregularity, or some kind of stomach irregularity or
digestive irregularity, what controls that irregularity you're saying nervous system?
So if I use chiropractic to take the pressure and

(31:51):
release the stress and the blockages within the nervous system,
what is that going to facilitate that flow?

Speaker 1 (31:58):
That flow which.

Speaker 6 (31:59):
Allows for better function within all those different organs, gland systems,
tissue cells. So is there any part of the body
that I can't affect positive change in by adjusting the
spine and removing the interference.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
If there was interference than any, then it would all
pass through the spine, right.

Speaker 6 (32:25):
And so by removing spinal nerve interference, what do you
think that does for the overall expression of health within
the body.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Now the energy would be free to move into a
healthier situation.

Speaker 6 (32:39):
Right, so the person would express better health. So every
time I give somebody an adjustment, that area that we
remove the interference from is now expressing better health. Now,
how often might a person have some kind of structural
malalignment creating interference within the nervous system. Could happen frequently,

(33:01):
It could happen frequently, depending upon your lifestyle. People who
take care of their body have less of that than
people who don't. Human beings, by nature are lazy. Those
are the people that are going to need more care
than somebody who's proactive. The whole purpose of my show
is to teach people how to be proactive for themselves

(33:23):
without having to necessarily come into my office. And if
the information that I'm giving you through these radio shows
every week doesn't help you come fully back into balance
and you need some level of support, well good, go
see the guy that got you this far. Let him
finish the job. That's what the intention of the show is.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
But who's that.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Up to each person who wants to seek out the help.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
Right for themselves.

Speaker 6 (33:53):
Now, God gave everybody a gift, and that is the
gift to be healthy. Question is is are you exercising
that and if you're not exercising that gift, I would
like to help you uncover the reasons for how you
can exercise that gift and have a better life living
your full expression, which is what you came here to

(34:14):
do and what you owe to your spirit to experience.
And that's up to you, the listener, to decide if
that's what you want to do.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
M hm.

Speaker 6 (34:27):
And you're going to make whatever excuse you're going to
make in an effort to not do it. If you're
willing to have a conversation, I will help you over
every one of the hurdles that you're putting in front
of yourself.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
Deliberately.

Speaker 6 (34:40):
I will remove those hurdles to allow you to express
your God given birthright. But you have to want it,
and you have to choose it, and then I will
help you create it.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
And and there, I mean it's you're talking about the
spine and the adjustment. That's one element of the process
that you would engage with somebody.

Speaker 6 (35:04):
Yeah, because if somebody's had a spinal misalignment that interferes
with their body's ability to control their lungs properly, and
they develop I don't know, asthma, they develop pneumonia, they
develop chronic obstructive pulmonary disease because the circumstance of the
nerve interference became chronic and the ability of the lungs
themselves to recycle and remain healthy has become compromised. Depending

(35:30):
upon how far they've become compromised determines how long it's
going to take for them to recover. My job is
to get people well as quickly as possible. At a
woman break her ankle, I didn't even see her. She
called me on the phone to tell me she had
to cancel her next appointment because she broke her ankle

(35:51):
and she was going to be put in a boot
and she was going to have to let that heel
a little bit. I said, well, would you like it
to heal faster? She says absolutely. Is there something you
can do? I said, yes, go get these four supplements.
So she started taking the four supplements.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
She went back to.

Speaker 6 (36:07):
Her orthopedis two weeks later, just to make sure that
the boot that they put her in did the job,
and now they can put her in some kind of
other kind of walking cast or what have you. And
they went back and they were mesmerized by the fact
that her bone had healed so well so quickly, because
they don't see it take that little.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
Amount of time.

Speaker 6 (36:30):
I didn't do anything too her other than to feed
her what her body needs. And actually I didn't feed her.
She fed herself. She went and ordered the supplements that
I told her to get, and then she started taking
them and she couldn't wait to call me when she
left her orthopedis office.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Doctor Rick, is it.

Speaker 6 (36:46):
Possible that these supplements are making my body heal faster?

Speaker 1 (36:49):
I said, Well, that's.

Speaker 6 (36:50):
Why I recommended them to you. You don't have to
take twelve weeks, you could take six weeks.

Speaker 3 (36:58):
Well, this is a great place for us to take
another break, our last break of the show today. We
do need to hear from our general sponsor, the Alternative
Healthcare Network dot com. And when we get back, I
want to finish out this conversation about energy or chiat
with you and see what we come up with.

Speaker 6 (37:16):
Very good, But please listen to this commercial and we'll
be right back.

Speaker 5 (37:20):
You are listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.

Speaker 6 (37:24):
If you're currently suffering from any health concern and you're
not getting the results you're looking for, please feel free
to call me directly at area code eight four five
five six one two two two five again eight four
five five six one two two two five, or you
can email me directly at docric at spineboy dot com.
That's Doc Riick at spine boy dot com, and I

(37:48):
look forward to serving your healthcare needs.

Speaker 5 (37:50):
Naturally, you are listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network, So it's.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
Very interesting to hear how something like the pro process
that you have and some of the tools that you
use in your practice can accelerate the healing process. Because
one of the frustrations people would have sometimes is that
you know, it takes a very short time to get
an injury by breaking your ankle, but the recovery time

(38:16):
is weeks and maybe even months. So how much of
what you do in this process that you do adjusts
a person's ability to recover their health in a timely fashion.

Speaker 6 (38:28):
Well, what I do is I help facilitate their body's
ability to respond and restore and become whole again faster
by addressing all the components that go into their injury
or into their condition to support it to return back

(38:48):
to balance as quickly as possible. Because we look at
the person holistically, we don't look at them as a
simple cause and effect relationship.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
Okay, with that woman who her ankle and.

Speaker 6 (39:01):
Giving her the nutritions for her bones to heal, that's
just supporting the body to do what it's naturally going
to do. Anyway, Like I said, all health problems are
nutritional deficiencies. Okay, if you want to heal the body,
you got to feed the body what it needs, and
then once it's full, it'll leave you alone because it's

(39:24):
got no reason to bitch. Why, because it has everything
it needs. It's like a three year old. Give a
three year old everything that it needs, it'll never have
a temper tantrum. As soon as it has a temper
tantrum is letting you know it doesn't have something that
it perceives that it needs to have in order to
go back into balance. Okay, And that's a physical example.
It's also a metaphor, but it's very very true.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (39:48):
We make choices all day, every day, and those choices
have consequences because the law of consequences is absolute. You
touch a hot stove, you are going to burn yourself
and it is going to leave a mark. The consequence
of touching a hot stove. Hopefully you learn not to
do that, therefore you don't have to deal with those consequences.
But the law of consequences is absolute. Every action has

(40:10):
a response, and it's your ability to understand the actions
that you take and the responses that you get, and
making adjustments in the actions that you take and the
responses that creates, which helps you to live a life
that's either.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
In balance or out of balance.

Speaker 6 (40:27):
And everybody wants to be in balanced, but not everybody
understands how to stay in balance.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
So what are the ways for cultivating that energetic balance?

Speaker 1 (40:39):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (40:39):
They could call you and sign up for your tied
cheet class. They could cultivate balance that way.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
That's one way. Okay.

Speaker 6 (40:46):
They could exercise, they could eat proper food, they could
do breathing exercises, they could do I don't know, get
proper sleep. Pick up exercise that they can do. They
could do running. I would never do running, Okay. I'm
a cycler.

Speaker 1 (41:06):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (41:06):
I can do the same motion, stimulate the body differently,
get different outcomes because I know that running and cycling
don't produce the same level of fitness because they're two
different activities. You can go to the gym and lift weights. Okay,
you could take aerobics, you could do pilates, you could.
I mean, anything that's physically active is going to help

(41:29):
you be more physically in tune and more physically imbalanced
with your body. But you also need to feed that body,
which means you're going to have to be mindful of
what you're putting in your pie hole and the effects
that that food has. If you eat the wrong food,
doesn't you don't feel well. Maybe if you eat a
particular food, you have an allergic response to it, which
is an incongruence with your body having with that particular food.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
Okay, well let's fix that.

Speaker 6 (41:53):
Incongruence so that you don't have that imbalance anymore. And
it's like, okay, so whatever we have to do. If
you don't drink enough water, you're gonna have issues. If
you don't breathe enough air, you're gonna have issues. If
you don't need enough proper food, you're gonna have issues.
If you don't exercise, you're gonna have issues. If you
don't sleep properly, you're gonna have issues. If you don't
feel a sense of purpose, you're gonna have issues. So

(42:17):
it's all about you as an eternal spirit embodying a
physical body for a temporary period of time, and then
learning how to exercise your spirit through your physical body
in the physical realm and have an experience.

Speaker 3 (42:33):
It would seem that, you know, affecting what your environment
is would also be something that would affect how your
energy goes, what your living space is like, what your
work space is like.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
Yeah, that's a cool thing called feng shui.

Speaker 3 (42:46):
Right. You started out the show with.

Speaker 6 (42:48):
Which is creating the balance within your physical environment to
have a flow of energy, okay, and creating that environment
and then supporting that in vironments to have that environment remain.

Speaker 1 (43:02):
The way that it is.

Speaker 6 (43:04):
And so when man comes along out of man's ignorance
and sees I can make money off of the trees,
I can make money off of the land. I can
make money off of whatever it is that we put
on the land. And then I can sell products to
make profit off of the space that we're occupying, and

(43:24):
we can entice people to come in to the place
that we're building these shopping abilities and have products and
so I'm just making money the whole way. That's certainly
an approach to life but what are the consequences of
taking the trees out in an effort to put up
this shopping area that you want to make money off of. Okay,

(43:46):
we need trees, we need bees. We need bees to
pollinate the trees so that we have oxygen so that
we can continue to live, and we need to maintain
a symbol of balance and harmony within all of that.

Speaker 3 (44:01):
So there are two aspects that we're talking about here.
One aspect is the interpersonal part of taking care of
your own body. Is if it was the entire world
that you're a part of, it is. And then there's
the outside world, which is also something that we also.

Speaker 6 (44:18):
Have to take care of correct and the outside world
is a reflection of how you take care of your
inside world, because it's all a reflection and an extension
of spirit. And that's the part that humanity doesn't fully
embrace or doesn't fully understand, and that's why we have

(44:40):
the difficulties that we have as a society of people.
And there are those who are aware who are trying
to lead those who are unaware to awareness so that
the whole planet just becomes aware and we can all
live in peace and harmony and get along with each
other because we're all part of the same race, right.

Speaker 3 (45:01):
I Mean, one of the things that happens is that
obviously there are lots of disruptions to the perfection of
that scenario, which is, you know, that's largely where the
work that you do comes in, because you need to
help people who lose their health, whose energy gets misconstrued

(45:21):
or somehow goes off track and they're you know, I know,
you've dealt with people who who've had a problem with
drugs and things like that, where their life has taken
a turn in that direction, right and they need to
turn it around. You dealt with people who have had
weight issues, and you dealt with that kind of thing.
But you also deal with patients who've come to you

(45:43):
with cancer and you know, near the end of their
lives and still supporting them through all these different things.
So in everything you do, you're sort of in that
position where you're helping somebody maximize or optimize their own energy.

Speaker 6 (45:59):
To come back into balance with their highest expression of
who they are or the potential of who they can be,
and to help them develop.

Speaker 1 (46:13):
A motivation.

Speaker 6 (46:16):
To exercise their right to be the greatest that they
can be. Because they owe that to themselves, number one,
And by expressing the highest form of who they are
and having that experience.

Speaker 1 (46:34):
As a spirit.

Speaker 6 (46:37):
Incarnate in a physical body is what the spirit came
here to do. And as a result of that, hopefully
it helps to demonstrate an example of what other human
beings are capable of experiencing themselves, which is what Jesus
Christ said, Ye too can do all of this and more,

(47:02):
and you will do all of this and more. And
I just want everybody to exercise that right and all
of us come together as a centralized human experience, celebrating
our differences and living in harmony with our differences. Because

(47:24):
you have an ability to do things that I don't.
And if you can make me aware of the abilities
that you have that I don't and I see value
in those things, then I now value you because you
can do some things that I don't that I actually
benefit from. And that's ultimately what all life products should

(47:48):
be about. It's not about monopolizing, it's not about controlling,
it's not about restricting. It's not about the haves versus
the have nots. Okay, we don't ever worry about where
our next breath of air is coming from it's free.
Yet there are powers that be behind the scenes that

(48:08):
are trying to charge people for air, just like we
did for water, which should be free, just like we
did for food, which should be free.

Speaker 1 (48:20):
Okay, And we have.

Speaker 6 (48:21):
This dysfunctional mentality in society to where we need to
monetize everything, and then we need to control that everything,
whether it's governmental control with taxes, etc. Or whether it's
a business selling a particular product and making it available
or not available to certain people for whatever reasons.

Speaker 1 (48:43):
Blah blah blah.

Speaker 6 (48:44):
And that's just not the way that our society should
go on. And so when we talk about chi and
life force, we need to honor the life force of
the planet, of the living entity that is Mother Gaia.

Speaker 1 (49:00):
And we get to live as.

Speaker 6 (49:03):
A privilege on the surface of Mother Gaia, and we
need to respect that.

Speaker 3 (49:11):
Yeah, I think the fact that you say that it's
a privilege to be able to be alive and to
be able to live here, and it's in that way,
in that regard that the respect that you have for yourself,
the respect that you have for others. We need each
other in order to be able to survive. Then, as
you say, each of us brings something to the table.

(49:32):
What you're bringing to the table is the ability to
help somebody facilitate themselves back into better balance with their
health in every aspect of their health. That's the holistic
nature of your practice. So that's something that you're contributing
to the world, and this exchange that we have as

(49:53):
social beings needing each other, that that seems to be
primary amongst all the things that we you have, But
a lot of the things that you're also able to
address are things that are not we're not necessarily conscious of.
And so one of the things that enables you to
do the work that you do is that you are

(50:13):
able to help the person that you're seeing and treating
contact what's below the conscious level of their thinking, because
we don't know why did I get this particular disease,
why do I have this problem? But in your body,
the body knows. The body has absolute knowledge of what's

(50:34):
going on with you, and so if you can communicate
with that, that's one of the things that makes the
type of practice you do to connect into the energy,
back into that idea of how energy works. That allows
you to then be able to address that very.

Speaker 6 (50:49):
Specifically right and so to take the traditional Chinese medicine
meridian theory.

Speaker 1 (50:58):
And how that correlates with.

Speaker 6 (50:59):
Each of the organ's glands, systems and tissues and using
a more modern tool of manual muscle testing that's been
around for fifty years sixty tech almost seventy years now. Wow,
that's really interesting to help facilitate a physical experience within

(51:23):
the patient, within my practice member, within a fellow human being.
It's always fascinating for me to demonstrate muscle testing on
somebody that has no idea what I'm going to show them.
And it's always interesting to see the look of astonishment
on their own face when their arm goes down against
their will to keep it up and there's.

Speaker 1 (51:44):
Nothing they can do about it.

Speaker 6 (51:47):
And once they understand the method of how it works,
it's like a light switch. When the light switch is on,
the muscle is strong. When the light switch is off,
the muscle is weak. And all I do is I
just turn on and turn off the relationship of how
the energy flows. And when a person sees that, and
I've got their attention, and now they're asking questions about

(52:08):
how that works.

Speaker 1 (52:09):
Good.

Speaker 6 (52:10):
Now they're interested in understanding how to take that information
and apply it to their personal body to enhance how
their body functions and how it expresses its birthright of
being healthy, and.

Speaker 3 (52:24):
That particular skill that you bring to be able to
do that sort of analysis and help somebody find what's
going on with them internally in a way that might
be subconscious for them. It's such an important thing that
you contribute to their well being. And so somebody that's
out there that's listening to our show today that would

(52:44):
like to be able to find out more about this,
more about your approach to health, more about what you
can do to help them. What are the best ways
to reach out to you.

Speaker 6 (52:53):
The best way to reach out to me would be
to call my cell phone directly at area code eight
four five five six one two two again eight four
five five six one.

Speaker 1 (53:03):
Two two two five. It is my personal cell.

Speaker 6 (53:07):
I will be the one answering the phone, assuming that
I answer the phone, because sometimes I'm with people and
I just ignore my phone. But if you do get
the phone and it goes to voicemail, please leave me
a voicemail. Uh, you can text that phone, but it'll
take me longer to get back to you when you
text me than it will if you leave me a voicemail.

Speaker 1 (53:26):
I'm just old school like that.

Speaker 6 (53:28):
I don't necessarily agree with texting. I think it's highly
impersonal and I think it actually interferes with people truly
connecting with each other. But whether you call, whether you text,
whether you email. My email is doc Rick d oc
ri c K. It's spineboy dot com. Doc Rick at
spineboy dot com. Go to spineboy dot com my website.

(53:49):
It's five hundred and eighty pages of healthful information. But
whatever the case is, reach out, ask your questions. I
want to help you. I want to get you back
in the game of life. I want to help you
express the highest and best outcomes you could ever experience
in life and to live life to the fullest degree possible.

(54:11):
So yeah, reach out. So I want to thank you
for tuning in this week. We've finished our show for
this week. Tune back in next week, same health time,
same health station. This is doctor Richard Untune from Advanced
Alternative Medicine Center saying, I look forward to supporting you
when you're health better.

Speaker 2 (54:32):
My physician he said, you're definitely ill. The nurse I've
seen worse to the doctor just gave me a pill.
Take one of those three times a day you don't
ever stop.

Speaker 3 (54:41):
