Advanced Alternative Medicine Center, and here's my partner for the show,
your health advocate, Mark Sable.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Is the time for letting go? We were talking about
that not too long ago. And one of the things
that you want to eliminate is all the things that
you don't need and prepare for the winter. So when
it comes to doing this for your health, you have
a program called the Fall Cleanup and it's it's a
doctor supervised detoxification program that you host.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Can you tell us a little bit about that.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Well, the Fall Cleanup program is designed to allow your
three external filters that as being your lungs, your large intestine,
and your skin to get cleaned out so the internal
health of the person can move towards better health, more energy,
more staminas, just taking the garbage out so that the
body can recover and recycle through the winter period.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
So why is now the.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Time to consider getting your health back on track?

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Well, fall is the second best time to support the
greatest change in your health after the season of spring.
In spring, we have a twenty three day program that
cleans out all the garbage of the body in all
six filters. This time of year, the fall is time
to do a metal element to flush itself so that

(02:58):
you can get a reset within the again, the lungs,
the large intestine, and the skin.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Is that something that you should do every year?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
That depends on the individual, depends upon their lifestyle, depends
upon what kind of health issues that they may have,
depend upon what they're exposed to throughout the course of
their year, maybe their job. You know, if you have
a lot of respiratory stress in your job, if you're

(03:31):
exposed to a lot of garbage in terms of what
you eat that hinders your large intestines ability to function
in a normal way. If you take medications regularly, and
if you have any kind of skin issues. It may
be something that you want to consider for the average
person cleaning out their three external filters of the lungs

(03:55):
large intestine in skin. If you do that once and
you modify how you move forward after going through the cleanse,
then you probably don't need to do it every year.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
So okay, I mean that's kind of why it's a
doctor supervised clean up, so that you know what the
particulars of this person situation are.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yeah, we have to evaluate each person individually, and we
have to understand what those three main filters are doing
in association with what kind of impact it may have
on what's going on internally in the body.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
You said it was different than.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
The spring program is twenty three days, So what is
the fall program?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Like? The fall program is nine days compared to the longer,
more thorough spring detos of twenty three days. The nine
days is two days of preparation, five days of purging,
and then two days of integration back into a semblance

(05:00):
of dietary needs.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Now is the fall clean up program a detox occasion protocol?

Speaker 2 (05:10):
It is for detoxing the metal element organs of the lungs,
large intestine in skin. It's not going to clean out
the other three detox filters of the liver, the kidneys,
and the spleen. That's why you need twenty three days
in order to clean those out. But for a nine
day period, you can clean out the garbage that's impacting

(05:34):
those three external filters.

Speaker 7 (05:36):
So I mean, should you consider doing both of these
cleanses if your lifestyle calls for it and you are
in desperate need for improving your health.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
I mean, let's face it, Mark, if you have health
issues and a chronic one or more than one, you
need to help yourself to stop the bleeding. This program
will help you stop the bleeding. And again it's only
nine days. So yeah, after you do the fall clean
up and see what happens with your body through the

(06:07):
winter months and when you come out of the winter
months into spring where the energy starts to expand again
and the energy shifts into your liver, your primary detox
organ If the liver coming out of winter where you
just left the kidney time, if the liver is stagnant,

(06:29):
if a person has high cholesterol, if they have a
lot of inflamma, inflammation, inflammatory diseases, etc. Then they're going
to want to consider doing the twenty three day program,
but doing the nine day program, we'll take some of
the burden off the liver and allow the person to

(06:50):
maybe put it off. But again, you need to go
back and take a look at what someone's lifestyle is
and what they're exposed to, how they live, what they eat,
what they drink, do they exercise, Do they have lots
of stress in their life? Do they internalize that stress?

(07:12):
I mean, there's lots of things that they need to consider.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Okay, So, well, how does it actually eliminate the toxins
that may have accumulated in your body those organs.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Well by feeding and flushing the lungs, large intestine, and
skin of all of its toxins. The program is designed to.

Speaker 6 (07:29):
Do just that.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
So we're going to feed the body specific ingredients that's
going to help to ease the toxic load on those
three components the lungs, large intestine, in skin and help
them to purge whatever is mucking up the work, so
to speak, so that the body can then eliminate it
from the body altogether.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
So why can't you just eliminate those toxins normally, Well,
there's too much crap in the system and for far
too long and the system is shut down its ability
to function in a normal capacity just because.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Of how humans live, and certainly here in the States,
the quality of the food that we get is significantly
worse than just about any other area in the world.
We don't have a tendency to eat fresh grown, fresh

(08:24):
harvested foods. We have a tendency to eat foods that
have long shelf lives, that have lots of preservatives and
additives and artificialness and genetically modified ingredients, and all of
those things will take a toll on the health and
promote peoples to use medications. And since that seems to

(08:45):
be the primary focus of what goes on in healthcare
is getting people on lifetime medication, you need to consider
doing something it's going to support your body in a
different way.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
No, I mean, you mentioned all the things that could
cause these problems. What kind of symptoms might you have
from having too much toxicity in your body?

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Well, I can tell you the number one it's not
really a symptom, it's a sign. But the number one
indication that you're hoarding too many toxins is some type
of obesity. You're also going to experience fatigue, inflammation, chronic
conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, autoimmune disease, cancer.

(09:30):
I mean, if you have a health imbalance, your body
isn't processing and clearing things the way that it's supposed to,
and the more garbage that's in the system, the more
disease and inflammation, etc. It's going to go on.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
So can you just do dietary changes to make all
this happen?

Speaker 2 (09:49):
You can, and most won't. Most are stuck with their habits.
They're stuck with their preferences. And by putting yourself on
this kind of program, as long as you can commit
to the program and follow directions and just do it
as it's written, you'll come out the other end in

(10:09):
a much better space and your body will be functioning
in a much better way.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Now, you said that obesity was kind of the number
one sign that you might have a toxicity problem. Does
the fat act as a way to protect you from
that toxicity?

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Well? Yeah, the toxins that are harmful are surrounded by
a layer of fat and moved away from the vital organs,
and this shows up and manifests as obesity.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
So are there other I don't know, maybe vague symptoms
that you might have that would be an indicator.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Oh well, we kind of mentioned it. Fatigue. That's a
large indicator that your body is not clearing things the
way that it should. Dehydration. You need to be properly
hydrated in order to wash these toxins out. If you
don't wash them out, then you're gonna get inflammation. That
inflammation is going to lead to fatigue, and it's going

(11:04):
to lead to chronic conditions that we mentioned, things like
diabetes and high blood pressure, heart disease, autoimmune disease, cancer, etc.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
No, at the same time that we use all these
medications sort of help with these symptoms. One of the
things that you say is a toxic ingredient is actually
the medications.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
How is that the way you look at the medicine.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Because medications are toxic. We were never designed nor meant
to consume toxic chemicals known to have harmful side effects.
The side effects tell you that they're toxic. You got
to wake up to that truth. You may not like
the truth, but that doesn't change the facts of the truth.
Medication is toxic to the body, and it's going to

(11:52):
push and pull it in an unnatural way to get
the body to do something that it should have been
done doing without the need for medicaid. And so when
your works get mucked up because of the garbage that
you ingest on a regular basis through the choices that
you make, then that changes the way that the body functions,

(12:15):
and as a result of that, health conditions are going
to occur. Suppressing those symptoms of health conditions by using
toxic chemicals known to have harmful side effects that accumulate
and destroy the functioning of your liver is not a
healthy way to do, but that seems to be the

(12:36):
number one way that healthcare goes about managing and treating disease.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
And you said, I mean, we've talked about the fact
that this time of year.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
I think we began the program with the idea that
this is a time to let go of the things
that don't belong. So part of this purging process that
you're talking about is the natural function of your body's
ability to let go of the things that don't belong.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
You're really just supporting that, right.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
The season of fall is about letting go. It's letting
go of things that no longer serve the purpose. The
trees let go of the leaves, because the season has
run its course and it's time to let go of
those leaves so that the tree can shut down for
the winter and start to cultivate its energy again. So
that comes springtime with new growth and buds and all.

(13:28):
Then the trees get new life and it's a new
season of life. And human beings have similar seasons, and
we just kind of put our heads down and go
to work and push push, push, push push all the time.
And in summertime when the kids get out of school,
sometimes families have the ability to do the summer thing,

(13:52):
and sometimes families don't. You know, parents have to work, etc.
So the kids end up going to summer camp and
you know, the kids get a break, but you know,
the powers that be want to keep the adults of
the family working as much as they possibly can. And
you know, it's tough that a lot of what goes

(14:15):
on in society is based upon repetition, and you know,
for some people it's almost like their slaves to their job.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Yeah that's true. I mean a lot of people are
really bound by that. But does this kind of.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
A program that you're talking about, where you're doing a
fall cleanup, does that do anything to ameliorate those kind
of situations for a person, if you reduce the amount
of toxicity in your body, does that enable other aspects
of your life to sort of fall into a better order.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Oh yeah, because if you eliminate the stress or the
congestion or the clogging of what's going on within your
body and things start to move out of the way,
well then you get progress, and then you can actually
start to see things in a new light. And once
you begin to see things in a new light, your
attitude shifts, your perspective shifts, and then your results begin

(15:09):
to shift.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
Now, what about for somebody who is particularly helf conscious,
are they still going.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
To have to contend with these toxic substances?

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Absolutely? Our environment is toxic. We live in a sea
of toxins. We're exposed to over eighty six thousand different
chemicals every week of our lives. And you know, if
you're not doing something to address the accumulation of those
toxins that were exposed to every week, then they're going

(15:41):
to get trapped in your system and they're going to accumulate,
and you're going to age faster than you should, and
you're going to have issues that you didn't knowingly know
that you were committing to simply because you were unaware
of the effects of what the powers that be have
set up for humans lifestyle.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
So just the fact that you are alive and getting
up in the morning and going to work or doing
whatever your daily activities are, you.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Are to some degree being exposed to.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
The level of toxins that are just here in the
environment you're living in.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Oh yeah, I mean food related toxins from pesticides, from
the artificial colors and flavors, etc. That they put in
you know, those those are a huge source of what
we get exposed to. The consumption of sugar, let's start there,
and everything else is a bonus artificial anything in food,

(16:41):
chemicals like BPA, GMOs, MSG, the medications that we mentioned,
both over the counter and prescription, all of these things
end up being sources. And then you know the outgassing
of things that come from our furniture or you know,
you buy a new car and everybody loves the smell

(17:02):
with a new car smell. Well, what is exactly that
new car smell that you're getting into your car and
smelling and liking the new cars smell? You know, they
advertise air fresheners. Well, what is an air freshener. It's
a fragrance. But what's the carrying mechanism for that fragrance
that's going to hang in the air of your environment

(17:24):
for a period of time until it loses its potency?
And how much of that are you ingesting in the process.
I mean, these are all things that we don't take
into consideration. We don't even think about them, and.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
We should and we really should think about them. Well,
this is a good moment for us to take our
first break today, doc Rick. We need to take a
short commercial break to hear from our general sponsor, the
Alternative Healthcare Network dot com. But when we get back,
I want to ask you more questions about this fall
clean up program.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Absolutely, but please listen to commercial from our general sponsor.
You're listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network dot com.

Speaker 6 (18:02):
You are listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.

can email me directly at doc gric at spineboy dot com.
That's Doc Riick at spine boy dot com, and I

(18:30):
look forward to serving your healthcare needs.

Speaker 6 (18:33):
Naturally, you are listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
So today Doc Rick and I are talking about the
fall cleanup and one of the things that we were
talking about before was the fact that you get exposed
to so many different things. And one of the things
that really I think we have to sit there and
cope with is the exposure to all these chemicals, the pollutants,
but the antibiotics and the medications.

Speaker 8 (18:56):
You were talking about that before, So can you give
us at idea, But what it is that makes these
antibiotics so toxic and what the problem is there?

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Well, antibiotics, the thing that's important to that is it
destroys your gut microbiome, which sets you up for disease.
And the only time an antibiotic is necessary is when
you've neglected your health long enough that you can't prevent
infection on its own, and ultimately that's just sad. But

(19:28):
if you can't prevent infection on its own and your
immune system isn't strong enough to actually get rid of
the infection, on its own, then you may need to
take some sort of medication. The challenge is is that
we're not eating enough healthy food. We're not drinking plenty
of real water, not purified water or filtered water. We're

(19:52):
not exercising enough that causes us to sweat, which is
another way that the body gets rid of toxins. And
we don't avoid the medica the way that we should
at all costs. And if you're on a medication, you
need to consider stopping that, get some help, get back
to being healthy and expressing your God given birthright, which

(20:13):
is to be healthy. And if your doctor is not
helping you to understand exactly what is your problem, what
is causing your problem, and what chain does you need
to make in your life to get rid of your problem.
If they're being lazy and they're just writing you a
prescription that's going to put money in their pocket and

(20:36):
it's going to lead to future imbalances in your life
over time, you need to consider another way and you
need to invest in for your own self what it
would take to reclaim your health. And I promise you
taking more toxic chemicals with known side effects isn't going

(20:57):
to help you get there when you.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Talk about antibiotics, sometimes an antibiotic might be necessary. And
if it is, is there a process whereby you can
recover the microbiome that gets so damaged by Since the
antibiotics don't play favorites and only.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Get rid of the bad bacteria, No, it's an equal
opportunity destroyer. It's going to get rid of all the bacteria,
the good, the bad, and the ugly. And so what
do we talk about that average person needs to be
taking on a regular basis.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Probiotics that fosters their growth.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
A probiotic that helps the counterbalance the effects of the antibiotics.
The effects of white refined sugar, the effects of medications,
the effects of alcohol, the effects of artificial colors, artificial flavors,
the effects of chlorine, the effects of bromine, the effects

(21:54):
of fluoride, the effects of using a microwave to warm
your food, etc. All of these things disrupt your microbiome,
antibiotics and sugar being the two primary culprits. But there's
a lot of supporting cast members in the grand theatrical

(22:14):
play of How to Destroy Your Health.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
So I mean, well, it sounds like a vast majority
of the health problems you might be suffering from can
be traced back just to the foods you're eating.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
Well, it's all of the mark. All health problems are
nutritional deficiencies, which means that whatever it is that you're eating,
if it isn't sufficient to support the body to maintain
its health, then it's going to start to promote sickness
and disease.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
But proper eating is such a big challenge in this world.
I mean, I mean, how do you augment the lack
of nutrition? If you're saying that so many of the
foods that we're getting in the grocery store may be
lacking the original nutrition you might have had generations ago,
how do.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
We get what we need?

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Well, you've got to research and supplementing your diet for
all those holes you have in your diet. Take the
time to understand your personal situation and then address them specifically.
For you, it's ultimately your responsibility. If something isn't right,
you need to figure out why it isn't right, and
then you need to address the why with proper information,

(23:25):
proper ingredients, and modify your lifestyle so that it becomes
so much your lifestyle that it's not hard. It's not difficult.
It's just this is what your lifestyle is. I mean,
I don't think what I do with my diet is
hard at all. It's just a matter of doing it.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Well.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
You say that you know the difficulty of doing this.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
But to bring this back to this fall clean up program,
I wonder if this is going to be a difficult
thing to do. Are you going to be hungry while
you're sitting there for those nine days?

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Absolutely not. It's designed for you to clean all the
garbage out. A side effect of that may be that
you lose a little bit of weight. It's not designed
for you to lose weight, but you may lose a
couple pounds over the course of nine days. You won't
be hungry, absolutely not, because you're eating every couple of hours,

(24:28):
so that shouldn't be an issue. So if you're not
eating something, you're drinking something, and.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Well, what kind of food will you be eating.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
You're going to be eating real food, food that nature makes.
You're going to be having lots of leafy vegetables and
you're basically the middle five days is filled with vegetables.
There's also some high fibery type fruit like pineapple or

(24:59):
like watermelon and these things because they're high in fiber
and because they're rich in nutrition. But the fibery aspect
of it is going to assist in the scrubbing and
sweeping out the digestive tube that is your large intestine,

(25:20):
to help pull any of the garbage off the walls
of your large intestine, which is going to improve the
efficiency of how food gets into the bloodstream so that
you get more value out of your food.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
So are there a lot of restrictions to what you
can eat during that nine days?

Speaker 2 (25:37):
Well, I don't see them as restrictions. I see them
as this is what you're going to be doing for
nine days. The first two days are the same, the
last two days are the same as the first two days,
and the middle five days are all the same. And
so you're going to change your diet from what you
normally eat to the first two days. Then you're going

(25:58):
to do the five days of purging, and then you're
going to go back to the first two days on
the last two days. And then based upon what you
learned about yourself over the nine day period, it would
behoove you to make some subtle changes in your diet
based upon what you experienced over the nine days and
try to lean your diet in the direction of what

(26:20):
you went through during the nine days, So eating real food,
not eating something that comes in a box or in
a package. You want to go to the grocery store
and you want to buy perishable food instead of living
off of non perishable food. You know where I used
to live up in the Hudson Valley, Every fall, they

(26:41):
would have a Stuff the Food drive and they would
see how many buses that they could stuff, school buses
that they could stuff with bags of groceries to be
donated to all the local food pantries, so that those
that are underserved and are in need of better, more food,

(27:04):
if you will, would have plenty of food. And you
know that's the right intention, but it's a poor execution
because what is it that you're giving to these people
that are already underserved and already needy. You're giving them
a whole bunch of crap food. You're collecting crap food,
the food that doesn't have a shelf life because it's

(27:28):
still fresh. However long later that you decide to eat it.
Pasta How long does pasta last in a box?

Speaker 3 (27:36):
I think you can leave it for years on your shelf.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Absolutely, And it's like, okay, so what kind of quality
nutrition is in there if it can sit on the
shelf forever.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
Well, it has calories though.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
It has calories, but are those calories quality calories or
are those calories that are empty that are ultimately going
to get stored and increase a person's obesity.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
Quote that's that's a pretty important question. I mean, right,
But one of the things that you know, we talk
about sugar being addicted is the gateway drug.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
I think you've talked about it in those terms.

Speaker 3 (28:13):
So one of the things that you're addicted to something
like that, aren't you going to feel deprived for the
things that you're craving during that nine days?

Speaker 2 (28:25):
No, Because at the end of the day, you're not
having them. You're giving your body bulky, dense nutrition rich food.
And so when you're giving your body dense, nutritious food,
your body gets everything that it needs. And then you're
not sitting there feeling bad about anything and overthinking and

(28:46):
wondering what and then grabbing the crap food and and
you're not going to feel deprived.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
I mean, anytime I think about something like that, A
prescribed eating program or a diet or something like some
good regimen that it can be difficult for some people
to stay on that and how do you how do
you weather that? And is there some do you offer
any support during that process?

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Oh? Absolutely, there's support the whole time. But if you follow,
if you can follow directions and commit to helping yourself.
We're talking nine days and because you're going to be
modifying what you're eating, and probably what you're going to
be eating is going to be new and different for you,

(29:32):
it shouldn't be. It should be more of an adventure
that's exciting versus something that is mundane and life sucking
or anything like that. And anyone can make any excuse
they want and then get the rewards of lacking discipline.
What's the popular phrase nowadays, do stupid things and win

(29:55):
stupid prizes. Haven't we all done the wrong thing long enough?
I mean, that's what we have to understand. You have
to look yourself in the mirror and you have to say,
is this the best that I can possibly do in
my life or is there an opportunity for me to
try something new to get a different outcome.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
Well, if you do try something new and you do
make it through these nine days. What about the continuing
that process of eating healthy appter you get off.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
The nine days, well, you follow you follow the outline
of the diet plan and develop your eating habits around that.
Whatever you did the first two days, whatever you did
the last two days, those are very similar. Take some
understanding from the flow of those two days and try

(30:43):
to develop your daily diet plan around that. And you
can work in a couple of days of you know,
just eating items that are going to truly help your
body to function better and keep it honest and keep
it clean. And again, it's a subtle change in what

(31:06):
it is that you're doing, but it's making the commitment
to you know what, However, old I am. I only
have a finite amount of years left to live, and
it could be fifty, it could be twenty. Heck, it
could even be ten. And at the end of the day,
how do you want to live those years? Do you
want to live those years in misery? As your health

(31:29):
continues to deteriorate and the number of prescriptions that you're
on increases, and the likelihood of you having some kind
of joint failure or severe health problem that's going to
require some kind of surgical intervention. Is that the life
that you want for yourself, or would you like to
take the high road and to eat high vibrational food

(31:53):
that's going to nourish your body and put your body
back on the road towards being healthy and expressing health,
feeling good and having your brain function properly and being
able to think properly and have a good, happy outlook
and attitude towards life and change the dynamic of your
relationships and change your weight and your energy and your

(32:15):
clarity of thinking and better sleeping and all of the
things that can manifest as a result of modifying what
you're doing dietary wise, so that you can just get
back to the game of life.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
So you can do all that just with your diet.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Absolutely wow, And that's going to open up doors to
doing other things. Once you're eating better and you're feeling
better and you have more energy, then you may actually say,
you know what, I'm going to go for a walk,
or I'm going to go for a bike ride, or
I'm going to go for a run, whatever the case
happens to be. Or I'm going to go down to
the gym. I've got a gym membership that I got

(32:54):
the fob on my keychain here, but I never actually
go to the gym and sign in. I'm going to
do that. Why because I already I'm spending money on
the membership. Let me go do it now. I'm a
little bit more motivated to do that. Why because I've
unclogged the depressing, negative energetic crap that's going on in
my brain, because I'm now feeding my brain real food.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
And I mean with all of this, I mean, when
you start to shift these things, some of the things
that you might want to do is would you want
to come back and maybe as you maybe lost that
couple of pounds you said you might lose on the
nine day program, would you need to cut your fat
intake for instance.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
That's really a completely different topic. Taking fat out of
your diet will not allow you to lose weight. Your
body needs fat. Without it, you're going to develop health issues.
Your hormones are made from fat. No fat intake leads
to hormonal issues and obesity as a result. You need

(34:03):
fat for insulation, You need fat for energy. Primary fuel
for energy in the body should be fat. You get
nine calories per gram of energy from a gram of fat. Okay,
you get four from a carbohydrate, you get four from

(34:25):
a protein, so you get two and twenty five percent
more energy from the same weight of food if it's
fat food versus a carbohydrate or a protein food. Now,
proteins are needed primarily to repair and rebuild the body
and to help manufacture hormones. Carbohydrates are primary primarily there

(34:50):
for nutrition for the nervous system to keep the nervous
system humming along, but you want them to be healthy carbohydrates,
not to completely refined and kind that most people are consuming.
And fats primarily used to manufacture hormones and to give
the body the energy that it needs, while the sugar

(35:10):
is being used for the nervous system's energy.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
And the fat that you eat is different than the
fat that you store.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
The fat that you store is more times than not
excessive sugar intake, where the body takes the excess sugar
and the pancreas puts it into storage. And when it
puts it into storage, it converts that sugar over to
triglycerized which then gets stored in Your fat deposits as fat,
but it's non essential fat. It's excess carbohydrates that are

(35:40):
being stored as fat. If you eat quality fat and
you get your metabolism up to where you're burning fat,
then you never store fat. You're always burning it for fuel.
And that's the most efficient body that you can have,
is a body that burns fat as its primary source
of fuel.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
Well, this is an important conversation, Doc Rick. We do
need to take a short commercial break to hear from
our general sponsor, the Alternative Healthcare Network dot com. When
we get back, I want to focus the rest of
our conversation today on this fall cleanup program.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Absolutely, but please listen as commercial from our general sponsor.
You're listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network dot com.

Speaker 6 (36:20):
You are listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
If you're currently suffering from any health concern and you're
not getting the results you're looking for, please feel free
to call me directly at area code eight four five
five six one two two two five again eight four

can email me directly at doc ric at spine boy
dot that's Doc Riick at spine boy dot com, and

(36:47):
I look forward to serving your healthcare needs naturally.

Speaker 6 (36:51):
You are listening to the Alternative Healthcare Network.

Speaker 3 (36:55):
So today we're talking about the Fall Cleanup program. So
once again, Doc, can you tell us what exactly is.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Involved with the doctor supervised Fall clean Up.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Well, you're definitely gonna be changing what you're eating for
a nine day period, and the first two days are
basically identical. So you're gonna come off all the crap
foods that you normally eat and you're gonna go buy
what the program outline says to eat, and you're gonna
do that for two days. In that first two day period,
you're eliminating all the types of food that you normally eat,

(37:27):
and you're gonna subscribe to what's being offered on those
first two days. And after the first two days, where
you've taken the stress out of the system, now we're
going to purge all the toxins out of your lungs,
out of your skin, and out of your large intestine.
And you're gonna do that with some specific foods. You're

(37:48):
going to increase the number of cleansing drinks. You're taking
three a day during the first two days and during
the last two days, and then you're gonna up that
from three a day to five a day during the
middle five days. And what you're actually doing is you're
flushing the toxins out that are impacting the normal functioning

(38:09):
of the lungs, the large intestine, and the skin. And
then once you've done that for five days, then you
want to go back to the same types of foods
that you ate on day one and day two. You
want to do that for day eight and for day nine.
And then what that does is that gradually takes you
out of the purging mode and puts you back into

(38:30):
now you're going to be eating food again. At the
end of the nine days, you get to make a decision.
You've taken the time to clean out your filters. Things
are moving better, things are functioning better. Your energy is returned,
your clarity, your thought has returned. You've lost a couple
of pounds. You're feeling pretty good about yourself because you
did something very positive and productive. Your brain is working better,

(38:53):
your thoughts are better, your clarity is better. And then
you get to make a choice. Do you want to
go back to what you doing that made you feel
crappy and the need to do some kind of fall
clean up, or do you want to continue the path
that you just got on nine days ago. And do
you want to continue to love it and support it
and love yourself and support yourself by how you would

(39:15):
choose to eat going forward.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
Well, I wonder if you're those middle five days when
you're going to that purging process, do you need to
stay at home? Do you need to stay close to
the bathroom or is that the kind of thing that
we're talking about.

Speaker 7 (39:30):
Uh No, not at all.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
I mean, it's just going to make your intestines function
more efficiently. I've never had anybody periodically that question is asked.
People will say, well, do I got to sit at
home near the toilet? And I'm like, I went to
wait for a guy's weekend for four days in the
midst of doing this program. Really, it's like I brought
all my supplies with me. We went and did what

(39:52):
we had to do, and while they were sitting drinking beer, etc.
I was sitting there drinking my shakes, And it's like
it's just again, it just becomes a question of what
is your level of commitment to yourself saying goodbye to
your outside influences. I mean, we as human beings, and

(40:12):
that's the one thing that we all need to do,
is we need to turn off all the external noise
in our lives, and we need to go within, and
we need to get in touch with spirit, and we
need to get in touch with us. Well, who are
we really as a spiritual being that occupies the physical
vehicle that we have as a body? And are you
interested in cultivating a better relationship between you and your body?

(40:35):
Stopping the insanity that we're all advertised to in terms
of making poor decisions. One of my professors told me
a long time ago, and this is one of the
things that has stuck with me, and I think it
was one of the you know, I've heard a lot
of profound things, but this is one of those things
that really stuck out. And I believe that it's true.
If it's advertised, you probably don't need it. And if

(40:58):
you just think about that, they don't advertise the things
that you absolutely need. They advertise things that they want
you to buy, and they try to advertise it in
some way that's going to get your attention and it's
going to make you feel like your life would be
better if you bought that particular product. In ninety nine
percent of the crap that's out there that's being advertised,
you don't need, And you got to ask yourself, does

(41:20):
it truly enhance your life? Does having one hundred thousand
dollars car, which is what a decent one costs nowadays,
which I just find absolutely retarded. Is that level of
car that much more significant than one that costs half
that much or even a quarter that much. It's still
a car. It gets you from point A to point B.

(41:42):
If you're not crazy like I am, then I spend
twenty eight hours a month in my car to drive
to and from New York to record these shows and
help people the way that I help people most people.
I remember we had a neighbor. He had his commuter car,
and then he had his car for that would fit
the whole family. And his commuter car was just a
two seater car that he would just go to work

(42:04):
every day, and that was his go to work car,
and when he was home he was going to do
anything with the family, they would pull the other car
out of the garage. And it's like, you know, so
we just have to understand what our priorities are and
how we can make life. The television and advertising and
print ads and internet stuff, etc. Forces us to try
to keep up with Joneses. You know, they show a

(42:25):
car ad where this beautiful sports car and it's got luxury,
and they'll sell you on the luxury, or they'll sell
you on the technology or whatever it is that they're
going to feature in that car commercial, and they're trying
to get you to have an emotional attachment to something
that doesn't necessarily have to be there. Now at the
end of the day, if you can afford it, why

(42:47):
wouldn't you do something like that for yourself. But if
it's not absolutely necessary, which is what a majority of
our society doesn't need all of that crap, find out
what works for you, what's going to get you through
your day, and what's going to get through your day,
so that at the end of the day is better
than the beginning of the day because you spent the
whole day doing the right thing.

Speaker 3 (43:07):
Is this this fall clean up that we're talking about today,
can you do it any time of year or why
is it about the fall?

Speaker 2 (43:15):
Well, it's about the fall because the energy to the
body at this time of year is highest in the
metal elements. So by addressing the metal element organs, the lungs,
large intestine in skin, you can create the greatest amount
of change possible for the body, certainly in those three organs.
And so there's a flow of energy through your body
and the five elements. The year starts off in the

(43:36):
water element, which is kidney bladder. Then it moves to
the wood element, which is liver glawbladder. Then it moves
to the fire element, primarily the small intestine and the heart,
along with your endocrine organs of your pituitary, hypothalamus, thyroid, adrenals, pancrea, well,
pancreas is following month, but your endocrine organs, and then

(43:59):
you move into fall, which is where you get into
the earth element of the stomach, splained and pancreas. That's
like later summer, just before you get into fall. Once
you get into fall, then you move into the metal element,
which again as lung as large and tessa.

Speaker 3 (44:17):
Again, now, are there.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
Any risks associated with doing this fall clean up.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
Yeah, there's a risk that you're going to feel better
and you're gonna function better, and you're just have more
energy for life. That's the risk that you have to
take if you think that you deserve to feel better
and think better and have more energy and sleep better
and find yourself again and feel good about yourself every day.
Then yeah, that's the risk of what's going to happen.

(44:44):
I've never had anybody have any level of complication. But
that's also because we take the time to do a
brief health evaluation before we give people the green light
to go forward, Because if they have additional lung problem,
like if they have a lung condition like an asthma
or a bronchitis, or they get pneumonia every time of

(45:07):
year in the late fall, early winter, or whatever the
case happens to be, then we want to enhance the
program by supporting the lungs. If they have difficulty with
their chronically constipated or they have an irritable bowel, or
they have colitis, or they have a condition like that,
this program is going to be great for that, but
we're going to want to make sure that we're supporting

(45:29):
the large intestine to be able to help repair and
rebuild that while we're cleaning the toxins out, so that
perhaps on the other side of the nine day cleanse,
the symptoms of their colitis or diverticulitis or whatever is
greatly reduced, if not eliminated altogether. And then those who
have skin issues like ezema or psyiasis, or they get hives,

(45:52):
or they got roseatia or something along those lines, supporting
and cleaning out that the largest filter in your body,
which is your skin, that's just going to allow their
health to improve in all the different areas that we're
addressing during this fall cleanup.

Speaker 8 (46:08):
So are those things that you do by offering some
kind of nutritional supplement is designated specifically for that individual
who's doing the fall cleanup?

Speaker 2 (46:18):
Well, yeah, I mean we have specific whole food supplements
designed to support each one of those organs, or each
one of those glands, or each one of those tissues,
whatever it is that we're trying to support. The wonderful
company that I use, have always used my whole adult life,
and even when I was a teenager, middle teens of

(46:39):
my years, they took supplements and I continue to take
them a day, and they're manufactured by Standard Process, and
so Standard Process has very specific supplements for every single
organ in your body to help feed it and to
help repair it, and in some to help detoxify it.
And so if we need to enhance the body's ability

(46:59):
to detoxify one of these particular organs other than the
way that the program is rolling out and the way
that it's written. Then we're going to give you some
nutritional supplements. That's going to almost like putting the program
on steroids.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
Now, would you get the same or any kind of
similar benefits from doing say either a water fast or
a juice fast.

Speaker 1 (47:23):
Something like that.

Speaker 2 (47:23):
Well, I can tell you that with a waterfast you're
taking the stress out of the system, But in order
for the system to purge itself, you actually have to
feed it. And doing a waterfaest isn't going to feed
the system to help let the body let go of
whatever it is that is trying to let go of.
You're just not putting more in the system, but it's
not causing the body to clean out any of the

(47:45):
garbage that it needs to clean out. You've just simply
stopped putting the crap in. But you have to inform
the body that you wanted to get rid of the crap.
That's what the program's designed to do. Now, a juice
fast is going to create some level of result, but
it's not going to create the kind of result that
you're looking for in terms of doing this program. This
program is designed specifically to feed the body what the

(48:09):
body needs in order to take the garbage out. And
if you're not feeding the body and provoking it to
let go of the garbage that needs to be eliminated
and then ushering it out of the body, then it's
not going to Those toxins are going to leave one
area and go accumulate in some other area.

Speaker 1 (48:26):
Yeah, you're talking.

Speaker 3 (48:27):
About the fact that there's a lot of fibrous foods.
So that's all part of that elimination, that's.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
Part of the sweeping process of your gastrointestinal tract.

Speaker 3 (48:37):
Well, what if somebody wants to find out some more
about what this fall clean up program is, because everybody
has their own particular situation. And the reason this is
the doctor's supervised program is because you want to be
able to do that health evaluation before somebody jumps in
into the lake and starts to try to swim.

Speaker 2 (48:54):
Yeah, because I want to go over the program with him.
I want to hold their hand a little bit. I
want to coach them through what they should expect. I
want to give them the understanding that if they have
any questions while they're going through it. You know, I've
had patients in the past, who are doing the program,
who they just want to get some level of contact
with me to say, Okay, I'm getting ready to do

(49:15):
day three. This is the first day of the five
day purging. I'm going to be starting this today, and
they just want me to acknowledge the fact that they're
going to be fine, because they're going to be fine.
But anytime somebody starts something new, they just want to
know that they're not one hundred percent by themselves, which
is why it's a doctor supervised program. I'm going to

(49:37):
give them the love and the support and the guidance,
you know, the cheerleading associated with them doing their particular program,
because at the end of the day, they don't know
it going into it, but they will definitely know it
when they come out of it that they gave themselves
the best gifts they can possibly give, and that's the
better themselves.

Speaker 3 (49:55):
And I think that's one of the things that you
offer in terms of how you approach your practice as
a healthcare provider, is that you support people in a
variety of ways. This not just that you're there and
you show up for the office visit and then you
make a prescription and you see them in six months
or a year, you actually have an ongoing relationship with

(50:16):
all of the people that see you.

Speaker 2 (50:18):
It's funny. I had a phone call yesterday. I had
a patient in the office, and because I didn't have
somebody right after them, the visit went long. But she
was asking great questions and I didn't want to stop
or flow. I wanted to answer all of her questions.
And then she realized, oh my god, it's this. I
have another appointment and I have to go. And she

(50:38):
called me last evening and she says, doctor Rick, I
just want to tell you how much I appreciate today,
but I need to ask a favor. And I'm like,
what's that. And she's just like, I feel like we're
becoming friends. And I don't want to be your friend.
I want you. I need you to be my doctor.
I said, well, I appreciate that. I'm always going to
be your doctor unless you tell me not to be.

(51:00):
At the end of the day, I want to do
it in a way that's agreeable to you. I don't
like the sterile doctor over here patient over there. We
approach them from a distance and we don't ever actually
touch the patient. We have instruments that touch the patient,
and it's all very sterile and clinical. No, I want

(51:20):
to know what your life is about. I want to
know what stresses you are. I want to understand all
of that. So I'm going to cultivate a relationship that
is much more agreeable to you, so that when you're
in a crisis, you don't feel apprehensive about picking up
the phone and calling me. I tell all my patients
when they leave, if you have any questions, call me,
and they all say, yeah, if I have a problem,

(51:43):
I'll call you. And then I always find out later, yeah,
I had this problem, and I'm like, well, I don't
recall you calling me. Well, I didn't want to bother you.
And I'm just like, oh, that's my job. Don't hinder
my ability to do my job to help you because
you don't want to whatever. So I just I just
want to be the best healthcare practitioner I can. And
the only way that I can do that is by

(52:05):
you the patient, asking me questions and us cultivating a
relationship and having dialogue and being free to talk about
whatever issues are bothering you. Not just thinking that I'm
your quote chiropractic. No, I'm a holistic healthcare practitioner. It's
going to treat all of you all season long, all
year long, help you through any bumps that come in

(52:28):
your road when they come in your road, and I'm
going to give you guidance to not hit the bumps.
And so that's ultimately what I want for everybody listening.
And if that interests you, by all means, please give
me a call. My best phone number is AERA code
eight four to five five six one two two two
five again eight four five five six one two two
two five. That is my cell phone. I don't really

(52:51):
like people texting me, but nobody seems to care. They
just text me, even without me knowing who they are.
I may or may not get back to you in
a timely fashion. Better way is to email me. You
will definitely get a response to an email by the
end of the day, or you can come into the office.
I'd love to see people. I typically if I meet
somebody for the first time, I just show them something

(53:13):
that I'm curious to see what's going on with them,
and also give them an understanding of what I do
and invite them to come back for a full evaluation.
And So whether you call me, whether you text me,
whether you email me or whether you stop in, I
just want to help you, and so I want to
thank you for tuning in to our fall clean up show.
I'm going to ask you to tune back in next week,

(53:33):
same health time, same health station. This is doctor Richard
on tune from Advanced Alternative Medicine Center here with Mark Saban,
and we'll be speaking with you again next week when
you're health.

Speaker 4 (53:45):
Man my position, he said, you're definitely ill. Sent to
the nurse.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
I've seen worse that.

Speaker 4 (53:54):
The doctor just gave me your pill. Take one of
those three times a day. Don't ever stop on till
you're nearly dinner. Almost better keep out of the region children.
The things that might be some side effects, you mean,
the probably will well limits of fact. Just come back
and I'll give you one another films on top of that,
on top of that, on top of that, on top
of that, on top of that, on top of that.

Speaker 3 (54:17):
And then he showed me his bill.

Speaker 1 (54:19):
I popped another.

Speaker 4 (54:20):
Pillar head out of the headache has become a pain
in the butt.

Speaker 2 (54:28):
What was just a snitchy finger now is a swollen foot.

Speaker 4 (54:32):
Doctor ripe an out of breath. And I've never walked
up a hill avoid all died from exercise.

Speaker 7 (54:37):
I'd rather give you a bill, but bring us the mic.

Speaker 4 (54:40):
Some side effects bream that probably will well.

Speaker 5 (54:43):
Limits ef fect.

Speaker 4 (54:44):
Just come back and I'll give you one hill on
top of that, on top of that, on top of that,
