Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm fantastic for us Tuesday, I had.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
A feeling you would be. Doesn't matter what day week
it is. We're at a standstill. The headline says that
we're at a standstill. It's like it's like nothing ever
happened on Monday. Nothing moved more than one zero point
one percent. So what's going on? Are we just all
holding our breath while things in Washington happen?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Well, Fred, you.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Came back to work.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Now, don't start say you're gone.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
The market goes up, So yeah, we're just kind of sitting.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
So we have earnings coming out from a lot of
retailers this week, which we'll talk a little bit about. Uh.
And President Trump is worried, you know, he's not worried,
but he's working on getting this Ukraine Russia deal taken
care of. So a lot of a lot of people
are talking about that and saying, hey, what's going on.
And we're forgetting about the tariffs, We're forgetting about you know,

(00:57):
the Fed possibly cutting rates.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
But that's still going on.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
In the background. And we have the bed Chairman's gonna
speak at Jackson Hole this week.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
They are on this week.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I believe it's on Friday.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
But so it's going to talk.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
About interest rates, which where we're headed. But that brings
us to the.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Dow down thirty four thirty four.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Points, which is point zero eight, pretty much flat. Nazac
up six point eight points, which is point zero three.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
That's flat.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
That's the p five hundred down point sixty five, which
is basically zero point zero one percent. But hey, we
had the Russell two thousand up again. Oh that point
ninety five, which is point three five percent.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
I like that a small Those are all the small
businesses for people that don't know what the Russell is, well, that's.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yeah, the smaller company. That's a small cap index.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
And remember I mentioned this yesterday too. This is still
a three hundred million to two billion dollar companies small
so large companies. But it's not like what we're seeing
in the multi billions. As we talked about what are
we going to go to next, Well, we're going to
start talking about the zillion dollar company.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
It won't be long and Amazon or Video might be
one of those, you know, yeah, it could.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Be a while, but we're getting that multi billion dollar. Uh.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
I look at these companies so and remember that's what's
dragging that f and.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
P along is like the Apples of the world.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
No videos, those kind of companies, big, big, big billions.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
So so who were winners yesterday? Do we have anybody
that like really got your attention or got investors attention?

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Well, we have no god nor This stock rose three
point seven to a Danish company.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
They regulars approved this.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Way Gov drug.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Ah, okay, you know it's a liver disease found.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
With many overweight and of these people. But you know this,
I've heard the I've heard this name before, were gov.
So oh yeah, it's very interesting. Then we had.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Soho House a membership club like.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Sam's I believe something like that.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Or Costco locations around the world.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Jump fourteen point nine getting bought by a hotel operator.
They're gonna pay nine dollars a share, I believe. But
Home Depot came out with their earnings today. It's with
one point to yesterday. It missed on both sides, but
it was down more.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Before the earnings came out.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Currently sitting at a negative, but their earnings are they said,
their future outlooks they're still.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Positive where we're headed, So that'll be interesting to watch it.
They say, Hey, you know, people are fixing.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Up stuff at home. We're not selling as much and
that's reflected with our economic calendar. We had the home
build confidence number come out yesterday, not a big down,
but it was. It was at thirty three. They were
expecting them to go to thirty four. It came in
at thirty two. Not a big deal, it's just a
confidence index. But today at eight thirty, we have housing

(03:56):
starts and building permits coming out right to drop a bit,
and I think they are going to drop a little bit.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
You know.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
My guess is because people aren't selling their houses to
be interest rates. You know, if you have one, you're
locked in the low rate. You don't want to get
rid of it because if you go buy a little house,
you're going to pay more.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Right interest rate wise. So that's kind of traffic people
in their house.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
And the people wanting to buy. It's it's you know,
this has many houses out there. So I'm watching.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Those numbers today but kind of expecting it to drop.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
In the miners. So don't read, don't read a whole
lot into it. And then you said that, yeah, Jackson hole.
On Friday, uh, German Pou will be speaking uh and
and everybody's going to be paying attention, parshing every sentence
that he does, because you're going to be watching for
whether he uses the word hope or I'm not ready

(04:48):
yet or things like that. So, how is all of
this right now affecting the treasury? Uh? And uh? And
what's happening overseas with all of the heads of state
over here yesterday? How's the stock market reacting there?

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Well, the treasures aren't you know, it popped up a
little bit.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
From yesterday, but the ten years sitting.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
At four point three to two, the.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Two years sitting at three point seventy five. In the
overseas market, we have.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
The knee case down one hundred and sixty eight point
three eight percent, hanging things down fifty three points, almost
fifty four point.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Two one percent.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
The Shanghai is off sixteen. But if we go to
the European markets, we have the flip seat up almost
sixteen points, which point.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
One seven percent. UH.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
The cact is up sixty one, which is point seven
to eight, and the dacks is up sixty five, which
is point two seven. So they're all sitting in the
green right now. So we'll see what goes on in
Russia and New Ukraine. Okay.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Are we are the markets up this morning? Are the
future is looking good? Uh?

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Futures right now are pushing down just a hare okay,
but again I'm not expecting you know, huge moves. But
again we're watching those retail sales. And tomorrow we have
keep your ex wares and target coming out burn good
indicators as well.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Excellent, all right, we'll speak to you. Hey, don't forget tomorrow.
We trow Wednesday. All right, bingo, We'll talk with Tim
tomorrow if you want to reach out to him before
then four one nine eight two four thirty three hundred.
