Speaker 1 (00:00):
Things are. How are you, mister Wheetrow.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
We got a quarter point rate cut, Fred, I'm feeling
pretty good.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
I can't imagine what would have happened. If they've gone
a full half a point. You'd be flying today, wouldn't you.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
The confetti would have been rolling.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Well, well, they kind.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
Of expected it because we've been talking about it now
for a couple of weeks, so it was kind of
baked into what was going to happen anyhow.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Oh yeah, but it did help a little bit.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Uh And really I got the impression that what Chairman
Paul said afterwards what really kind of sparked after So
give us some numbers, tell us what happened.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yeah, that's exactly right.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
He said that interest.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Rates are now at a place where it either you know, it.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Neither pushes inflation or nor does it push.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
The higher or lower of the job market, which just
kind of dropped you right in the middle there. But
it's good that it came down. There was two or
there was two that didn't want to cut rates fed
Chairman's participants, and one of them wanted to go to
that fifty bases points. But all that came out and

(01:10):
the Dow was up four hundred and ninety seven point
four six.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Points, which is we're over one percent for the day.
That's the p five hundred.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
And forty six, which is point sixty seven percent, and
the Nasdaq up seventy seven, which is point three to
three right now, though the futures are pushing down. So
to open the market, it's going to start off a
little bit down the Nasdaq. We have Oracle, big company
come out with their earnings and right now in the

(01:42):
pre market is down to eleven point five to seven percent.
Everyone's kind of looking at all this buildout of these
facilities that they're the energy facilities right that they're spending
too much on that, or they're pushing more towards that
that they might be going a little bit fast. So
that's the negative information they're getting on Oracle, which is
pulling down the market. That's just this morning.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah, and that's just that's just opening bell. I mean,
that's gonna that'll change by four crack.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah it can't. It can get better or it could
get worse. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Advice ge well part of ge G e Vernova.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
I guess it's called.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Yeah, they saw a pretty good increasees I thought I
saw like what fifteen percent or more something like that,
fifteen point.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Six percent, raises forecast.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
For revenue by twenty twenty eight, Doublin's dividend and increases
program to buy back its own stock.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
That company is just roaring.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
But again it comes down to energy.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
You know, all these facilities.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Are being built, are going to need to be powered.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
What are we going to do?

Speaker 2 (02:48):
And I hear you talk about you know, everyone says, well,
I don't want the facility in my backyard. I agree,
you know, I don't know the answer that we're going
to need a lot of electricity.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Yeah, the grid has to be expanded, I would I mean,
that would just be me. I would say the grid
has to be expanded first before we do anything else,
just like you've got to have you know, when when
cars first came along, somebody needed to come up with
gas stations and otherwise what good is it? I mean,
they were selling gas out of pharmacies in the early

(03:20):
days of automobiles, and they had to stop doing that
because they realized this could be right.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Was that bread?

Speaker 4 (03:26):
That's my first car. I used to stop at CVS.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Up a couple of gallons.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
I was on my horse as I.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Thought, Bread.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Whose winners and losers yesterday?

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Lestern Digital was that seven point three two.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Other copies that were Steely Black and Decker of five
point five or fifth third of five point two. On
the downside, Uber five point by one to the negative, uh,
DoorDash negative four point two one and Netflix down four
point one four percent?

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Oh okay, mm hmm, that's not so bad. Even Cracker
Barrel saw a little bit of a rise yesterday. Game Stop, yeah,
game Stop losed a little bit. But that Game Stop
story just kills me because how what was it three
five years ago or something like that? They were going
to be gone? I mean they were, they were just

(04:32):
basically out of the picture. And then the next thing
you know, they're still out there and there's and they're
still working. How did all of everything that happened with
us yesterday? How did that shake out across the across
the glob What do the other markets look like?

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Well, the China Index is down twenty seven points. We
have Japan, the k down four hundred and fifty three,
almost four hundred and fifty four points.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
A little shy at one percent.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
UH. In Europe we have the France, the back up
thirty four points, which is point four five percent. German
Index dacks up twenty four point sixty nine, which is
only point one zero over percent, and UK splits the
up seventeen point by one points.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
All right, all right, so that's not so bad.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Is there anything in particular that we should keep an
eye out for today?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Today we have initial jobless claims coming out, and the
US trade deficit, and on earnings, we have Broadcom coming
out after the bell, Costco after the bell, Lululemon as well.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Okay, now this morning, all right, well, I'll let you
keep an eye on that.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Hopefully it'll be a good dame, and we'll finish the
week off with another win. And now if you need
