Speaker 1 (00:01):
How are you, mister wheetrow.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Fredd? I got five miles in yesterday. Wow, decent market
this week. You know it's been a little up and downing.
I'm feeling pretty good Friday, Happy Friday.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
You've you did you drive five miles or did you
run five miles?

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Now? I went to the park in ran five miles.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Oh my god? How hard is it to you?

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Because I know somebody is sitting out there asking, right,
ask be sure to ask him how it is to
run in the cold weather.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
You just bundle up and get used to it.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
That's you.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Don't bronk you much? So could you start sweating?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
I was gonna say you got a later, but you gotta.
And you're right about the market. The market's been warm
all week. We actually got a little bit closer yesterday,
uh to some all time highs. So what are we
looking at? Who were winners losers? What do the numbers
look like?

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Yeah? We sure? But the Dow though finished negative, so
it's almost thirty two points, which is not a big move.
It's point zero seven to the negative s and P
five hundred though is up seven point four, which is
point one one percent. And the NASAC got fifty one points,
which is point two two of fred percent. And for
the five day the Dow is point two eight positive,

(01:18):
the S and P five hundred and five days point
one two positive, uh and the NAASAK point six zero,
so all of them are in the green. We're having
a decent year. It's just been a little rocky lately
because we're all looking at, well, what's the what's the
Fed going to do next week? Most likely they're going
to cut rates, That's what everyone's kind of feeling. We

(01:39):
had some reports come out and we're looking forward to
the PCEE today, but we had initial jobless claim Now
remember Wednesday we had the ADP report and it was down,
so less hiring, less payrolls. Initial jobless came so we
expected to go up. It was two hundred and sixteen thousand.
They were expecting two hundred and eighteenthoud and it came

(02:00):
in at one hundred and ninety one thousand, so less
initial jobless claims. Now today we have at eight thirty.
The PCEE, the favorite favorite index of inflation for the FRAD,
I mean the FAD to look at this so and
they're expecting it to stay about the same at about
two point nine year over year percent. But the core
they're expecting to take out energy and food, they're expecting

(02:23):
to tick up to point or excuse me, two point
eight from two point seven, So not a big move.
But at ten o'clock we're going to get however one
feels about it. Consumer sentiment is expecting to tick up
just to had a just a tad But at three
o'clock today we get to look at what's the consumer
credit position? Look like wow, what they're expecting it to
come down. So a lot of reports coming out today

(02:45):
to get a snapshot of where we are. But you know,
Christmas is here, snow on the ground. We all had
to keep that positive feeling. But I'm also going to
say people are a little worried because look where stock
popped yesterday. Dollar General Rally, here's spot and they're saying.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
The first thing that came to my mind was why
are we all shopping at Dollar General? Is it because
we can't afford every place else?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
That's why the PC's coming up everything now, Remember we
talked everything shot at a few years ago, but it's
not coming down. We need incomes to come up, because
if I've got your paying thirty dollars for something bred
when it was twenty. Why don't I reduce it? You know,
I still have to pay all my bills. I still
have to go out and do thing, you know, if
you're selling a gadget or something. You know. So it's

(03:37):
there's so many ways to look at it. Yes, things
are coming down a little bit. And what's going to
help start trickling? And I go to this all the time.
Gas diesel? Yeah, gas National averages two ninety seven cents,
it's below three howiluya a mile two seventy nine cents?
Diesel kick down three hours and seventy one cents. So

(04:00):
those are the things that really push things up because
we got to get around. I mean we can't walk everywhere, yea,
and not just us.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
The goods are the goods have to get around.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
And as long as the diesel stays high, then that
that passes it all gets passed down to us sooner
or later.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Now our general popped yesterday or mel another one spam
a spam. Yeah, but they were pushing their planners nuts
in this Jennio Turkey offering. They say, what's going to
pop up? Which it rose three point eight percent but
I'm going to highlight two Walmart. Walmart moved yesterday point

(04:37):
four to three, not a big move, but you're to
date it's up twenty eight percent, all right, so and
we even have if you look at Dowar Tree, you're
to date, or excuse me, not Dollar Tree. Our General
that was a top fourteen percent. I happen to look
at your to date. Are you sitting down at nine?

Speaker 1 (04:55):
WHOA?

Speaker 2 (04:57):
You know you don't expect it, but yes, people are
going are going to open more stores. People are going
to Dollar General because there's you know, things are inexpensive
and things are tight right now, so we go to
get the deals.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
I'm all for that. I love a good deal.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
I'm me too.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Well, it sounds like you got your day cut out
for you.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
You're going to be sitting staring at computer screens all
day watching for those reports to come in. So hopefully
it'll be a very good Friday. We're very, very close
to a couple of records. We might actually blow past
them today if the numbers turn out well, and we'll
talk to you again on Monday. Enjoy the weekend. It
should be called. We may get a little snow on Sunday. Now.
