Speaker 1 (00:00):
How are you, mister, Wheetrow Brad.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I'm fantastic.

Speaker 3 (00:04):
It's percolating out here.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Oh is it really? What exactly is it percolating out there?
Mister you're referring to the weather or are we headed
upwards again on Wall Street because yesterday we had a
little bit of a slip again.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yeah, we've had a two day little slip.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
We'll touch on that. The down Industrial average was down
one hundred and seventy one points, which is point thirty
seven of a percent.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
The SMP was off almost.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Nineteen points, which is point two eight of a percent,
and then NAASAC was off seventy five point sixty two points,
which is point three to three.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
For the second day in a row. They pulled back
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
But that's okay. We've always talked it's gonna go up,
going to go down a little bit, but percolating is.
We had a report come out yesterday we were talking
about new home sales. They were at the.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Last month six hundred and sixty four thousand. They were
expecting six hundred.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
And forty nine a slide.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
The increase it came in an eight hundred thousand. Wow,
new homes are but we have current interest rates for
the thirty year mortgage has been coming down a little bit.
On average, it's about six point four eight but depending
on where you go, FAHA, could be about you know,
six point one two.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Or six point four eight eight six, depends.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Where you go.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
But it has been coming down a little bit and
that will help stimulate.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
The gasoline prices. In Ohio.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
We're averaging right now at twenty ninety three cents, So
things are coming down.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
When it gives us expensive interest rates.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
To move down a little bit. The Fed dropped it
a quarter percent the other week.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
So it's all takes a little time and.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
It doesn't hit the market immediately.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
We know the market's been.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
On a tear going on the.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Upside, so this little pullback it's okay, it's healthy.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Yeah, And not everything that some of the things that
Tim mentioned are going to go down.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Gas price.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
The gas prices fluctuate all the time. There are other
things that are going to stay high just because, as
we've talked about before, once they know they can get
you to pay that price for something, they're gonna go
they're gonna leave it at that price for as long
as they kept Yeah, So that's that's how it worked.
So who were the winners yesterday?

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Well, the one that really grasped me is.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Is Lithium America's. Yeah, this is a Canadian company up
ninety five point eight percent yesterday and right now it's
still pointing up in the pre market. So it's been
out of tire. But it's a company that's been talking
to the Department of Energy and GM about drawing up
previously announced two point six billion loan from the government.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Wow. So yeah, this company wants to grow.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Home Builders also rose.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
With the US sales.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Talking about the home sales, we had Whrenear climbed two percent.
Pulte Group and Dr Horton both climbed and added about
point seven of a percent. But some of the tech was.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Hit even when they had good earnings, like Micron Technologies
fell two point eight But.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
This one was also interesting. We've been watching.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Gold copper Freeport Mickey Moranz sank seventeen percent, saying that
they think the sales on copper is going to be
about four percent lower than last quarter, and also gold
maybe six percent lower. That's why they're stock edgeback seventeen percent.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Eye on that one. It seems like that You've could
have been a kind of a quiet week for reports
and things like that. Are we expecting anything today that
could impact tomorrow's numbers?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Bread today? You you just said it.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
We have a bunch of reports coming out today. We
have a mister jobless claims.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
We have the.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
GDP third estimate for quarter two, and do you realize
today's a twenty fifth?

Speaker 1 (03:44):
I know, September is almost finished.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I know, I mean we're going into October. That's the
last quarter of the year. Advantuous trade, bouncing the goods,
we have advanced retail inventories.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
We have durable goods coming out. Wow, so a lot
of reports. We also have existing home sales. Okay, we
had new home sales yesterday. Let's see what the existing
home sales are going to come out today? And that's
at ten o'clock.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Now, do a lot of these come out early in
the morning or we have theminging to wait until later
this afternoon before we see any effect on the market.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Everything I had mentioned, except for the new home sale,
existing home sales come out at eight thirty and the
new existing home sales will come out at ten.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
All right, Well, they'll go at eight thirty this morning.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
I'm gonna let you get some coffee in your system
so you're wide awake to keep an eye on my
money as these reports roll in. And then we'll talk
with Tim again tomorrow. You can reach them before then,
of course at four one nine eight two four thirty
