a car up there for me.There's a big cars and coffee event about
our Northern studios, which is gotit? How funny? Ad just in
a second, but it's you knowexit, it's a crossroads exit Basing twenty
five. Yeah, I think twothirty two is a crossroads exit, but
it's just on the west side ofthe highway, whereas the ranches on the
(01:07):
east side of the highway and itranches. I think it's one exit before
that. But if you get offon that crossroads exit, you'll see it
right there. As soon as yougo under eye twenty five. It's it's
right there. You can't miss it. There's a cool motorsports dealership there.
There's a little outdoor arena. Hootersused to be there. Yeah, Hardy
Davison dealership. But yeah, manlooking for take a couple of hot runs
up there. All right, let'sget to it. Vin Police Station,
(01:29):
Pennsylvania. It was evacuated about threehours after man brought in a package containing
pipe bombs. He was a goodsamaritan who found him on the street.
He decided bringing them into the policestation, and the cops were like,
get out of here. Evacuated place. So everybody ran for their lives.
Well, they called it a bombsquad to get the package. The good
(01:51):
samaritan move right, the whoops, whoa man, I'm sorry, I don't
know. The police don't need tocome out here. I'll bring them to
there. Yeah, this is Heyguys, what a young pastor. He
wanted to modernize a historic West Phillychurch, so he sold the stained glass
(02:12):
windows out of the church to youknow, modernize it. He sold those
windows for six thousand dollars, butthey just found out those windows were worth
over a half a million dollars off. Oh wow, whoa somebody got a
deal yeow wow. Stained glass isworth that? Yeah, that old of
(02:35):
stained glass. Wow, handcut andcards and formed. You ever seen that
lead lace they use and those glassit's it's metal, that's like a shoe
lace. It's super malleable and that'show they hold it in those places.
Yeah. Man, I love thestain glass my church growing Up'd be fascinated
by that. Um, eating fivepieces of fruits and veggies every day can
(02:58):
be as beneficially or fitness. It'staking four thousand steps? Oh wow damn
okay. Uh. Peloton has acall two million exercise bikes over concerns that
the seat bracket will break Bailey.Oh oh yeah, that's a backside bambino.
You don't need a bowhow um speakof that? There was a there's
(03:23):
a story about a dude. No, it's uh, here's a helpful tip,
uh tip for you. Um,don't wear this this poor woman.
Uh, do not wear um uhuh look um to an MRI or inside
the MRI. It's not good.Did you see the rest of that story
(03:43):
about it? So she thought shebought it an entirely silicone and uh so
she went and she got her MRIand she had it in thinking it was
silicone. There was a metal corein it and it ended up getting sucked
up into her guts, if youwill. And so now she's suing she's
suing the maker of them. Whatreally because they said it was a solid
(04:05):
silicone and it was not solid silicone. Dam So the MRI, the medal
of the MRI. Damn, whencan't you take a damn can you pull
that out for MRI? Like reallylike damn no your roll man, Like
there's a time of the place andthen MRI is neither Like who goes into
(04:29):
an MRI with you know what I'msaying, right, I not me?
Damn that's not time with place?Wow. Um all right, so this
kind of rot story is crazy. So Kenneth Espinosa was arrested November twenty nine,
twenty twenty two. So a fewmonths back. Now, he stopped
(04:50):
to wait when this deputy, aguy named kel Noel from the Los Los
Animus County Sheriff's Office. That's rightwhere with Trinidad, Southern Colorado? Right
right? Um, anyway, thisofficer pulled over his son. Now,
cording to the lawsuit filed a federalcourt this week, um Noel ordered Espinosa
to leave the scene, saying heshould not be near a traffic stop.
(05:14):
After initially refusing, Espinosa then startedto drive away, but Noel pointed his
handgun at Espinosa and then ordered himto stop. So he didn't want to
pull away from his son. He'slike, no, that's my son.
We're going together to it. They'redropping off a car. He was driving
a something back. So he's like, no, I just I'm not interfering.
(05:38):
I'm just gonna, you know, wait it out and let you get
done with my son, and andwe're gonna go on. Yeah, And
he's like, no, you gottaleave now. And he's like, I
don't want to leave as my son, you know, we're together, right.
So anyway, he finally agreed toleave, and then this cop points
a gun at him tells him tostop so, and this is where it
gets really wild because body camera videoshows Esponosa being pulled from the truck and
(06:04):
I guess he was handcuffed, andas he's getting squeezed in the back of
the patrol car the deputies. He'skind of a bigger guy, I guess.
Deputies are struggling to get him inthe patrol car, but he's not
resisting. They're just shoving him withthe way it looks in the video on
the pictures, and one it warnsthat he's gonna use the taser on him,
(06:25):
and he says, Hey, I'mgonna effan tase you and then just
pulls the trigger and he shoots himright in the face. Oh oh.
You can see the device making contactin one of the shots and one of
the wires it shot him right inthe corner of the bottom lip, so
it pierces through his Oh, itpierces through his lip. And apparently they
(06:51):
shocked Esponosa that he was hit thirtyfive times with the taser and a drive
stuff mode. Wow. So thebarb was lodged three centimeters into Espinosa's gums,
so the wizz lip so it's badenough that he's got a spike going
(07:13):
through there, don't they taste atthirty four times in a row. Both
the cops have put on leaves. The investigation from an outside agency, but
during it shows the dude's picture inhis lip is just tore up. Oh.
I would imagine blood all over andthey dude the lit him up thirty
(07:34):
five times. Um. It lookslike Esponosa's lawyer released the bodycam video,
and when they did, the countysaid that they're not going to prosecute prosecuting
for any charges. They're gonna dropthe charges whatever the charges were, like
impeding though whatever, Oh, we'renot We're not gonna charge you for anything,
(07:59):
he said. Espinosa would not haveany further comment until lawsuit Z,
which is kind of when you seeit and you're like, damn, maybe
a little aggressive fellas, Right?Three centimeters into the gum? Right,
three centimeters isn't that much unless you'retalking about your face, right, unless
(08:20):
it's throw your lip into your gumjust below your teeth. All. Oh,
that one hurts. I imagine drinkingcoffee all right. Um. There's
a man in Minnesota named Kai Mickelson, even in a motorcycle runs on beer.
It runs on beer instead of youknow, gas ELECTRICI in the other
(08:41):
option runs on beer. This guyused chords light when he did the demonstration.
The bike had a fourteen gallon kegbuilt into the engine with a heating
coil inside of it. Now,when Kai pours beer into it like what,
he eats up about three hundred degreesand he cracks a couple of nozzles,
the beer turns into superheated steam, which provides enough thrust to move the
(09:01):
bike forward. Okay, it doesn'tnecessarily have to be beer. He's not
combusting beer right right, but hey, way to go? Hey. He
thinks these motorcycles could read speeds ofone hundred and thirty to one hundred and
fifty miles an hour. Look, beer's not cheaper than gas, though you
might buy bud life for it nowadays, because that's getting cheaper. Um.
(09:24):
Yeah, but I guess it runsundea. He says, Well, this
guy doesn't even drink either. Imean, can you do with water or
I mean you would think if itdoesn't. Yeah, if it's steam,
you could build pressure from ian It'show they used to do it steam engines.
I want a beer makes more steamor higher pressure could be yeah,
(09:46):
all right. So a couple kids, two brothers, ages six and three,
man so they steal their parents' caron Wednesday night. They were trying
to drive to a store to buya toy car, so they snuck off
with the keys. These kids aresix and three. They snuck out with
the keys to their parents toyota whiletheir dad was sleeping and her mom was
(10:09):
in the bathroom. So the sixyear old drove because the three year old
can't reach the pedals. I wasgonna say, I thought they'd have to
tag team it. Anyway, theywere apparently all over the road, driving
all over, you know, everylane possible. I guess a couple people
started follow him because they thought therewas a drunk driver. While they called
the cops. They made it abouttwo miles before they crashed into a lamp
(10:31):
post. Wow, that's pretty good. I wouldn't have thought two miles.
I would have thought end of theblock. WHOA. When a dode asked
what they were doing, the olderkid, the six year old, says,
Mama is at home and we're goingthrough the store. We want to
buy a black car. That's toofunny. I speaking of cars, it's
(10:54):
actually a go cart. But there'sa real toilet that was apparently the seat
on a go cart. As alocal plumber guy, he would write it
in a as a parade float,I guess little Town's parade to promote his
business. He said it's word abouttwo grand. He paid three hundred bucks
with a go carter Craigslist. Thenhe showed about eleven hundred bucks out to
(11:16):
have the rig custom fabricated to adda four hundred dollars toilet as the seat
that you sit on, so youcan say one of a kind toilet seat
go cart. Well, somebody stoleit last Saturday from the Dude's business shows
a man decked out of camouflage takingit. But it sounds like the go
cart probably didn't make it in onepiece because shattered porcelan was found across the
(11:37):
street. Oh no, so thethieves might try to load it in a
chuck or something dropped it. Policeare looking for suspects. All right,
So look, this is gonna comeas a big surprise. But I feel
like we just gotta take a minuteto think our local King Supers. King
Supers apparently giving away free groceries.Oh tell me more. All Well,
(12:01):
here's the story. And this happenedGreenwood Village. This is this is the
King's Soupers we always go to whenwe need anything for the show, right,
I mean it's literally a mile anda half straight down the road anyway,
King Supers, Greenwood Village. Soapparently the headline reads King Supers fired
five workers for stopping a shoplifter.Oh, they thought they were doing the
(12:22):
right things. That five employees ofKing's Supers grocery store and Greenwood Village were
terminated for a holding a shoplifting suspectthat con cops. One of the people
fired, It supports sixty two yearold woman. Oh, she said it
hit my family financially and emotionally.Says she was blindsided by the termination.
She lost her health insurance, shelost her benefits for some of his unfair
(12:43):
shit. I didn't do anything wrong. I was in the wrong place at
the wrong time. Another woman isTeresa Maldonado. She says, I felt
like my life was in danger. She's worked at King's Soupers. She's worked
there for thirty one years. Wow, Wow, that's crazy. So Madonado
who was first spotted, She spottedthis guy at King Supers in November stealing
(13:09):
a cell phone. He used abox cutter to code open the box to
cut off his security tag. Storesurveillance shows that Madonado followed this fifty four
year old guy named Darren Hooter Vantas he walked towards the exit. Madonado
said that she told the suspect tostop, and instead he started to run
(13:30):
through an unmanned checkout line. Ashe did, he slipped, dropping the
cell phone and the box cutter thathe used to steal the phone with.
He merely bends down to pick upthe two items, continues running Madonado.
The lady says, hey, he'sgot a knife. He's got a knife.
Well, another guy in the storeturns around when he hears Madonato person
(13:54):
he knows screaming he's got a knife. He sees the guy with the box
cutter in his hand, and sohe's got an angle to wrap him up,
so he does. He takes himdown. He grabbed his left hand
and removed the knife. Another guynamed MacArthur, who was another coworker,
assisted Two customers would later assist themen and holding this Hooter guy on the
(14:18):
floor. When Greenwood police arrived, the store location police bodycam video obtained,
so the officers handcuffing this guy,who immediately can be heard confessing that he
had a razor knife that he usedto cut the security tag. Officers told
her rent, oh, let's seeoh, Harnt said or hood reant said,
(14:41):
can you just write me a ticket? And officers said no. He's
being arrested for fellacy, felony, menacing, two misdemeanors, in violation of
a protection order, and drug possession. Apparently they found a bag of methamphetamines
in this dude's pocket. So Madonado, the lady who's been working for King
Supers for thirty one years, saidthe police response was really supportive, but
(15:05):
the manager's response was completely opposite. She said that she got at a boy
and out the door. Madonado, who along with four of the co workers,
were fired ten days later for violatingKing Supers hands aye policy when it
comes to shoplifters. In the statementthe problem Solvers, King super said,
quote, we value our hard workingassociates and nothing could be more important than
(15:28):
their safety and that of our customers. We appreciate that in this instance their
actions may have been well intended. However, they violated the very policies that
are in place for everybody's safety.Nothing in our stores the words sacrificing the
core value and their safe return home. So five former employees shared a labor
agreement and union agreement signed with KingSupers in January of twenty twenty two that
(15:54):
referenced this section, which reads, during a dangerous emergency, the employer agrees
that employees do not bear any responsibilityto protect merchandise. Employees should protect themselves
and to the extent safely and thereason we possibly possible co workers and customers.
So they're saying that they felt threatenedbecause the dude had a knife.
(16:15):
I was gonna say, the guy'sgot a knife. King Supers has had
a track record of violent things happening. What's really crazy is the store video
showed none of the female co workersheld the shoplifting suspect down. He was
only held down by two co workerswho both got fired for holding the guy
(16:38):
down, along with two customers andthis woman, Presley Swinson. She got
fired because she called nine one oneoh come on, yeah, she said,
because they don't want a scene, they want to be able to handle
it in the store. As amatter of fact, King super said,
(17:00):
if the police weren't called, theywould have just let the man go and
none, none of those people wouldhave been fired. So this olivet woman
and her fired co workers a KingSupers saying that anybody can be you know,
to just walk into the store anytime now and take anything they want
without any accountability. King Supers isbasically saying this is their words, basically
(17:23):
saying that shop lifting or shop liftscan't be touched. They can't be touched.
They're gonna happen to them, sothey're gonna do whatever they want to
do. That's who Madonado said thatokay Um MacArthur admitted that he and this
other Naji guy put their hands onthe suspects, but neither neither man could
comprehend why their female co workers wereterminated. So just an FYI get this.
(17:49):
So the guy who was robbing KingSupers, this this whorevant guy.
He got ten days in jail.He was allowed to plead guilty to a
couple of misdemeanor petty theft charges. His drug offenses charges were dismissed. His
prior warrant stuff was dismissed. Hegot out eleven days later on a plea
(18:12):
deal was out of jail. Doneon the eleven day. Presley and four
of the code workers, including MottoNato, lost their jobs, lost their
health insurance, lost pension. Andthey're like, who the real victims here?
That's crazy. So I just whatI'm saying. It's basically free groceries.
The King supers right. Crab legs, don't get me some crablegs.
(18:33):
Hey, we can use some donutsthis morning.
